Romain Straps it On

Romain de Marchi says: Stop letting the economic crisis paralyze you; don’t listen to the talking heads on TV news; don’t slow down. Your life and the lives of those around you depend on your passion and stoke.

YOU’VE NEVER HEARD ROMAIN DE MARCHI SAY ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE

MAUI, HAWAII – For a moment there I thought I was pondering the intricacies of the Universe, God, and life with Deepak Chopra – the esoteric Indian doctor, author, philosopher – not Romain de Marchi – ball-to-the-walls, huck-myself-down-any-freakin’-thing – snowboard legend.

Prejudiced with images of his suicidal rippings in epic Absinthe films, tabloid sensationalism knocking him as a party freak, and his tattoo covered body, I went into this, our first longer meeting, thinking it would turn out to be another “shoot the shi*t interview” with another fortunate, yet undeserving rider. I got adjusted, hard.

Romain on Travelling

RDM: When I travel I like discovering different philosophies and new cultures. I try to learn more and more the world. TV I don’t think is a good example to learn the world. To me it’s better to be on the terrain and figure out by yourself. That’s what I’m looking for when I go travel: meet new cultures and new people basically.

SWB: How does riding factor into your travels? Can you describe that stoke that you feel?

RDM: Well, I always… when I’m travelling, it’s not really the places you go to, but the experience you share with people. I like the fact that when I go to different resorts, I meet different people and they give me their stoke-ness of wanting to share with me their culture, their mountain and their way of seeing their mountain. That’s what I appreciate a lot when I get to see different places. So, that’s what really stokes me out.

Romain on Fatherhood

SWB: I saw your daughter Annella there. Tell me about her!

RDM: Well, she’s almost 2 years old and she’s growing up by the minute. She’s a fan of Dora as you can see on the T-Shirt and she loves her mama a lot. No, it’s fascinating, I mean, it’s ahhhh, it makes you more mature, makes you go forward in life, to be able to see your kids, the way they interpret life, to see their innocence and their soul. I think it gives you a lot of inspiration! They really inspire me.

SWB: so how did you start to feel in riding after you became a parent? Were there differences in your behavior after you became a parent?

RDM: Yeah, a lot of people said: now that you have a kid your ride should be different, you should be more cautious. Actually for me it went the other way around. I’m more crazy now than before. It really pushed me to go out there and do what I love. Now more than ever, I do it for more and more reason. First it was just for me when I was younger, but now it’s also for my daughter and my kids because I want them to feel my passion and translate that to them, so now I go out there and try to get as stoked as I can, so when I get home they can see how happy I am to do what I love to do and they can feel that. So for me it went the other way around.

SWB: interesting! So she made you live life even more to its fullest?

RDM: Even more.

Romain on the World Economic Recession

RDM: I’m not gonna say it doesn’t affect me. It affects everybody, but, I think that many people live in fear and they’re like “ohhh no, I can’t do this, I can’t do that.” People have been brainwashed with that and they’ve stopped living. I bet if each individual in the world like they did before the crisis, everything would be good, because money would still be spent, people would still be happy and do happy things and the world would still go around. Now everybody is watching TV saying “ohhh no, I can’t do this, because the TV said it’s fear, it’s economic, and it’s the world war, the terrorism and what not…” I think that’s pretty sad that people have been brainwashed like that and have stopped living just because some dude said it on TV. Of course, the economy isn’t as good now, but I think we are as much responsible for it as the people who are leading our country. I think we should keep living and everything is going to be fine.

SWB: ohh man, that’s a great insight. People paralyze themselves by listening to these so-called experts on TV and…

RDM: yeah, it’s been like that for centuries, you know like, create fear so that we can control people. I try to have my own opinion. I know times are hard, but it’s hard for everybody, but you keep living and if you can’t pay the mortgage one day and what not, then well, sell the house and do something else. The world is not going to end just like that. We have many options in life, so it’s not worth worrying about a mortgage or things like that.

Romain on Back Protection and Why Everyone Should Wear One

RDM: For sure it gives you extra confidence. If I hit a rock at least I have the Slytech 2nd Skin to protect my spine.

But I also try not to rely on it too much, because then you forget how your muscles work in your body; they are the first armor, right?

The Slytech 2nd Skin is more prevention. It’s not because I have a back protector that I’m going to launch a bigger thing. Whether I ride the resort or I jump, I always wear it in case something happens. It’s a precaution. It’s not like, “ohhh yeah, I’m just going riding the resorts, so I’m not going to put it on.” No, I put it on anyway.

Whether big jump or not, you know, now that I’m getting older, I got a family, so I kinda need to have that extra protection for me. But I’m not forgetting as well that my body is my first armor. For my state of mind it’s more uhhh… like in a car, you can have one airbag or you can have 5 airbags. Same thing with second skin: I’d rather have more airbags than just 1.

SWB: There are all kind of back protectors out there. What was it about Slytech 2nd Skin to make you choose to use it?

RDM: It’s easy to put on. It’s really comfortable to wear it. The good thing is, the foam they use, it’s really molding your back, so you really don’t feel it. I’ve tried other ones and they’re really uncomfortable. They’ve been using that for dirt biking at first. I feel pretty confident: dirt bikers get more beat up than snowboarders. When they fall, they hit the hard ground! Snow is soft. It makes you feel even better that it’s tested by dirt bike people.

SWB: How were you introduced to the Slytech people?

RDM: What went down is… basically, I got hooked up with Shred and they said, “hey, you want to try the Slytech 2ndSkin?” and I’m like “YEAH SURE!” They sent me some and I went riding and I didn’t feel it. I went riding all day and I didn’t feel it at all, “OK, wow! This is a freakin great product!” You have it on and it’s extra precaution for you and it doesn’t even bother you; it doesn’t even make you uncomfortable when you ride so I was like “yeah right on! This is a great product, so let’s do something with it!”

SWB: Would you recommend a back protector for non-professional athletes?

RDM: Yeah, I would recommend all the protection they can get. Most of the time, beginners just sit on a hump on the slope and if a skier or snowboarder just comes up from behind and BOOM, it could paralyze them. But if you have a back protector, it might save you from that. Helmet, back protectors are key.

As I left that interview, I never thought that I – as a philosophy guy living in Hawaii with all the inspiration I need around me – would have walked away with so much newfound inspiration to go for whatever I could possibly conceive of.

I want to publicly thank Romain de Marchi for sharing the inspiring stoke he collects through his experiences as a shredder, a father, a world traveler and as a free spirit (the snowboarding world’s own mini Deepak). Thanks also for believing in and endorsing the Slytech Back Protector. It took many years to develop and test, and now that it’s available to the general public we hope it will be as universally loved.

About Slytech Protection
The team and riders at Slytech Protection feel that life is best lived with maximum passion, confidence, comfort and protection (comfortable protection). We’re based around a rider's love for shredding and being free, to keep pushing the limits and to give yourself the chance to get up and ride again. Being sidelined with a bad spinal injury is the last thing we want, and so comfortable back protection is the first thing we grab.

When asked, if you had a job title, what would it be? he  had to stop and think it through for a moment. If I were to put a title on  myself as a job, I'd say pro snowboarder, life-time traveler.

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of interviewing legendary  shredder Romain de Marchi from his new home in far-off western Canada near  Vancouver. With kids in tow, tumbling around in and out of the Skype video frame,  Romain talked candidly about life as a father, how that's affected his  snowboarding and risk taking, as well as other controversial subject matter like  the Natasha Richardson tragic death and his bitter divorce with his old sponsor, Burton.

We also spoke about his new dedication to smaller  up-and-coming brands like his new sponsors Shred and Slytech Action Sports Protection with whom he recently signed (yes, having 2 little  tykes running around now, he straps on back protection wherever he goes to ride). And then of course, we covered that hot new  startup brand YES Snowboards you will want to hear about what he has to say about his new partners and why bigger is not always necessarily better.

His answers are not quite what you would expect from the rather  notorious party animal we have read about in the past. His contemplative nature  and deep insights paint a picture that is more Obi Wan Kenobi than a young reckless Anakin Skywalker.

I'm looking forward to share the insider look into  Romain, the pro snowboarder and life-time traveller's life and will let you know when and where it can be found in its entirety!

Later,
Stephan

Events/News - Whistler Blackcomb: It's ALL about the glades!
By: whistlerblackcomb

Day 15/30: As I’m trying to decide which adventure to write about, I’m getting far too distracted by the thought of fresh snow in the alpine. Could yesterday really have been the first day of spring?! Not on the mountains, not in the trees and not in my mind.

The other day I uploaded with two good buddies; Stu and Derek. Stu had his Vholdr cam so we were on a tree mission! It’s no secret the coverage hasn’t been good enough to venture too deeply into the woods this season. That was until last weekend when a huge storm hit Whistler Blackcomb dumping 158cms in total. So that was our cue to head out and rip some pow!

Stu’s been around these parts for ages, so I was expecting him to teach us a thing or two, but it just so happens we showed him some sweet spots he had never hit before. We started in Crystal by dropping off our bags at the snow fort, from there we headed to a super fun & short section of trees referred to as “the picnic table.” It’s literally a picnic table sitting on top of a knoll in the trees. It has an awesome view of the valley but that’s not why you go there. Below the table is a sweet pillow line, but watch your speed as it ends in tight trees and comes out onto a cat track.

Next we ducked into some tight trees to skier’s right of Rider’s Revenge; this took so much out of us! There was a big cliff in there that we had to maneuver around and that wasn’t too much fun. My advice, stick to marked gladed runs if you don’t know the area. These trails are actually protected bear habitat in the summer, so keep an eye out for the signage explaining the bear program. I would suggest checking out a glade like Arthur’s Choice or Outer Limits in the Crystal zone to get some good turns in spaced-out trees.

After lunch we zipped over to 7th Heaven to session the trees there. It was waist deep and untouched in places! I had such a great day laughing and shouting the whole time with good friends. There’s nowhere I’d rather be than a powdery tree run on Blackcomb!

Keep on shredding!

Where is your snowboard made? Some foreign country where all the workers have no idea what snowboarding actually is? In northern Reno NV, in an area where trailer parks abound sits a snowboard factory where a creative evil genius lives. You won’t find any high tech computerized equipment or even security guards protecting the company’s secrets from prying eyes. You will find the type of place where some of the best innovation has always come from… a ghetto garage!

Smokin Jay is an evil genius… not in the crazy axe murdering type way, more the artistic friend you had in school that you weren’t sure where his mind was. Jay was busy gluing one of his new 2010 models when we arrived and as soon as he had a chance to step away he was off and running with the “Factory Tour”. I use the term factory loosely since most of the time you might equate the term Factory to thousands of square feet and a building in an industrial district of town. Smokins factory looks like a cross between an old bomb shelter and chop shop. Inside most of the equipment has been piecemealed together, with bare wires and jays own inventions throughout the building.

Joining on the tour was Jay’s sidekick binky who was just as stoked to show us all the funny corners in the building. While at first glance it looks like a lot stuff packed around stuff but as Binky explains it you can start to see Jay’s twisted vision of how the process works. From the room with all the templates and edges, the room where he cuts out the sidewalls and the workstation that he uses to glue the boards together. And as you watch Jay and Binky work what looks like chaos starts to looks like an interpretive dance where both play off each other though out the entire process.

Smokin Jay takes a huge amount of pride in the boards he produces and each board must be perfect for him to sell it. His entire process feels more artistic than mechanical and each board seems like its own individual masterpiece. He inspects each board for any imperfection or graphic blemish before giving the stamp of approval to sell the board. So when you see the tag handmade you know that the board you are receiving was entirely handmade by Smokin Jay and the pride taken to create the board reflects in the quality of the product you are receiving.

When you get a chance try out a Smokin snowboard, these are quality snowboards made by an evil genius snowboarder who believes in making quality snowboards.

Thank you Jay and Binky for the Great night! check out http://smokinsnowboards.com/ for more info or check out the Smokin Snowboards we carry.

Effective April 1 - 30, 2003 the Forest Service will be implementing and enforcing a Supervisor's Closure on Vail Mountain, which will prohibit unauthorized access to the Minnie's Deck area where the end-of-season BB&B event has occurred. The Forest Service issued a directive to Vail Resorts under the terms of their special use permit to shut down the BB&B event on Vail Mountain. Historically the BB&B event has taken place at Minnie's Deck and the event had evolved into a gathering of as many as 2,000 people. The behavior of participants posed serious risks to public health and safety as well as caused resource damage. The Supervisor's Closure will be in effect to ensure protection of public health and safety.

So, with a stroke of the pen, the US Forest Service ended the infamous end-of-season party on Vail Mountain, ending a 22 year tradition.  Know by many variations, Boobs, Boomers and Beers; Buns, Boobs, and Beers; Boobs, Booze and Brews, etc, (BB&B) was held on the second Tuesday in April as a way for Vail valley residents and employees to blow off some steam at the end of the season.  The event started in 1980 as a small end-of-season birthday party on Minnie's deck. BB&B devolved into an orgy of drinking, snowball fights and raucous behavior. During the last several years, partiers spent days before BB&B building large snow forts, stashing large quantities of alcoholic beverages, and, too often, hauling up more illicit substances.

Historically, the end of season party probably started much earlier with the Great Race.  This season-ender was usually held in Lionshead and People would dress up in all kinds of wild costumes. A photo of Vail local hooligan Packy Walker standing on the winner’s podium wearing nothing but a fig leaf and his gold medal made the front page of the Vail Trail newspaper. After Vail executives and lawyers killed that event people continued to get costumed up and party at Minnie's Deck.  In those days it was called the mountain formal.  Costumes included top hats and suits as well as high school prom dresses, horrible powder-blue tuxedoes and ballerina tutus.  The event grew and was combined with Warren Miller’s Mad Mountain Marathon and the Rubber Legs Slalom.  The race involved 150 or more slalom gates at the bottom of Vail Mountain and the event raised money for local charities.

When I was there in the spring of 2002, my brother Travis, his wife Michelle, Mayela and I went to the BB&B.  We all carried backpacks loaded with beers, booze and buds.  When we arrived at Minnie's deck the atmosphere was relaxed and people were lounging on the deck in the sun enjoying the event.  We set up camp on the deck and in one of the nearby snow forts crafted by a group of Beaver Creek's happyshack community.  We took some runs and explored the other various snow forts in the woods.  It was amazing the elaborate complex of forts and the adornments within.  Some had full Ice sculpture bars complete with barstools carved from compacted snow.  Others were complete igloos with only a small portal in the roof for ventilation.  Another was an elaborate maze to thwart cops and security spies.

As the day continued, there were jam sessions on the numerous rails that had been created in the woods.  One was a 50 foot long triple wave that dumped out into the main area opening.  Eventually the traditional snowball fight erupted with the main focus from the snow forts surrounding the opening at Minnie's deck.  Some forts were equipped with water balloon launchers.  A couple of times I snuck out through the woods with my snowboard to take runs down born free.  After riding the gondola back up to the top, I'd come rolling into the woods with my pants down and flipping the crowd off in my black afro.  The trick was to ride fast and get to the fort as quickly as possible.  Poor unfortunate souls that tried to follow in the wake turbulence of my entry would get blasted into oblivion.  I would stand on the wall and yell out obscenities to the enemy forts.  The response was a furious barage of snowballs.  People were getting pissed because we were getting bombed with snow.  One time, standing on the wall, I took a water balloon launcher shot to the chest that blasted me flat on my back.  Heffe came right up like a  medic with the Jaegermeister bottle to nurse me back to insanity.

In the evening when security starts to herd everybody out of there is a Chinese downhill of sorts.  This race to the pub progresses down the mountain. There is one particularly steep pitch where people who are so f*cked up that they just take their skis off and hurl themselves bodily down the face, laughing their drunken asses off.  I came up to the edge and launched the hand bag I was carrying as high in the air as I could--only to find out Mayela had her camera in it.  We all ended up at the bars in Vail village till the weee hours of the morning.  It was amazing.  I'm glad I got to experience the greatest party on earth before it was over.  Good times

As kind of a sick footnote to all of this, the event has been commercialized in a couple of different forms. Never shy about making a buck off the sweat and toil of the locals Vail Resorts promptly christened Siebert's Mad Mountain Marathon and Beaver creek Blues, Brews, and Bar-B-Que. There is no limit to the depth of slime with Vail Management.

’ve never been exposed to military life, and I’ve certainly never been in a combat zone - until last week.

I spent a good part of my summer vacation in Afghanistan. Danny Kass, Grete Elliassen, and I spent 10 days in the Middle East, visiting our troops on an "X Games themed meet and greet." Our mission was simple: boost moral. If you’ve ever hung out with Danny, Grete, or I you’d know not only did we accomplish our mission, we went above and beyond the call of duty. It was a small sacrifice compared to what the servicemen and women of the Armed Forces are doing for our great nation.

I went over to Afghanistan with an open mind, to see first hand what was going on and how the troops were doing. I came back humbled and with a true understanding of sacrifice. I mean, I know how trying “the road” can be, but giving yourself for 15 months of your life, away from family and friends, is one hell of a sacrifice and a test of a true patriot in my book.

Our Middle East tour started in Qatar, a small but very wealthy country on the Persian Gulf just off of Saudi Arabia.

Qatar is the hottest place I’ve ever been to - including the sauna at your local health club. The temperatures ranged from 120 degrees during the mid-day heat, and would drop to around 90 degrees at night. Needless to say, we spent the majority of our time in doors soaking up every ounce of air conditioning we could before bolting to an air-conditioned car, and off to the next air-conditioned building.

Other than the heat being almost unbearable, the troops were amazing. The base in Qatar isn’t only a fully-functioning military base, it’s also a rest and relaxation base for solders to get out of the combat zones in Iraq or Afghanistan for four days every six months. This was their R&R time. The feeling in Qatar was pretty light hearted. The solders were allowed three beers a day, which loosened them up enough for Danny to olli four of them laying down - including Col. Cotter on his skateboard.

From Qatar we boarded a C130 military plane flight into Afghanistan. Once we arrived in Afghani air space the plane blacked out completely into the night sky. A young soldier with a thick Kentucky accent leaned over and said, “We're going to drop in fast, they have a tendency to try and shoot these things down.” That’s when the realization that I was in a war zone fully hit me.

He was right, too, the C130 plane dropped like a rock out of the night sky from about 20-30 thousand feet up to the runway below. A “combat landing” is one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced. My face was glued to the window praying I didn’t see a rocked fire out of one of the many clusters of lights seen below. Thankfully nothing “exciting” as another soldier put it happened.

Once we were “safely” in Afghanistan, Grete fell ill with salmonella poisoning. She was hospitalized and our tour was put into a holding pattern. Not only would Danny and I visit Grete in the Afghanistan Hospitals but we ventured around a met most of the Doctors, Nurses, Staff, and of course the injured and sick. Carmen our guide practically lived at the bedside of Grete, what a guide! My experiences of Hospitals are that they always have an eerie feeling to them, and this one was no exception. My heart sank as we toured room after room. Everyone had a different story to tell why they were there. A group of local Men were all smiles getting routine check ups, so they were able to get a job on base. Then there was an American Soldier awaiting hand surgery after his armored vehicle was rolled during a roadside attack. The most disturbing was by far the small children. One little girl lost her leg from an old Russian land mind, and in the very next room a little boy laid out dressed in bandages healing burns from an explosion. Experiences like these are reinsuring my thoughts and wishes to have peace on earth.

Danny and I carried on and entertained ourselves by exploring the rest of the base. While checking out the base we met a group of armored truck guys who called themselves “The Reapers”. These guys were cool as hell and had story after story to tell Danny and I about their life in the military and their tour in Afghanistan.
While hanging with The Reapers I felt safe - these guys were the bad asses on the front lines. They gave Danny and I a full tour of their armored vehicle, including sitting in the gunner’s chair. Spinning around in that chair armed with a 50 cal and a grenade launcher was quite a feeling.

Grete wasn’t getting any better after a couple of days so Danny and I left her and our tour guide Carmen behind as we ventured to a FOB (Forward Operating Base) named Solerno - better know as Rocket City.

While in Rocket City, the Air Calvary gave us a tour of the Heli pad holding Blackhawks, Apaches, and a smaller surveillance chopper. We took shooting lessons from a sniper and visited an artillery group of guys who are responsible for shooting back at the Taliban after Rocket City is attacked by, well, rockets. Danny and I were reminded that we were at a FOB nicknamed Rocket City at about 2 am by our guide McKnight. I was abruptly awoken my McKnight’s deep voice saying, “come on, get your sh*# on, get your sh*# on, we got to get to the hard building.” I looked over at Danny while he was throwing his bulletproof vest and helmet on and started to do the same.

We all grabbed our blanket and pillow and ran across the street to the hard building, aka a bunker. It was thought that we may be getting attacked by rockets that night so we all spent the night tossing and turning on the concrete floor wearing bullet proof vests and Kevlar helmets. Let me tell you that was one hell of a night. Let’s just say I wasn’t missing my flight out of Rocket City.

After our Rocket City adventures Danny, aka Afghan Dan, and I met back up with Grete and Carmen, did one last signing in Afghanistan and started our trip back home.

Although our trip was short and sweet, I think I got a pretty basic taste of military life in a war torn country. The highs of hanging out with the gung-ho soldiers and their weapons, to the lows of visiting a four year old girl who lost a leg from a land mine are just two extreme emotions I felt in just one week.

Again my hat goes off to the servicemen and women who sacrifice so much to protect this great country we all love.

My Blog: WAR
By: Savinglives101

I was watching the Lord of the Rings Trilogy over the weekend on TNT and it got me thinking. I absolutely love the style of war depicted in the movie. I love my rifles and pistols, but there's nothing like hand to hand combat, where you get to look the guy your gonna kill, in the eyes. But what happened to fighting for a King (president in our case). Fighting for a country that you are a part of, and love.

I myself have served in the armed forces. My expereince was far less then perect, but a memorable one. And in all reality, if we were attacked my some foreign forces, I would go back before the draft would start. In fact, I've thought about going back anyways to get my helicopter ratings and build some time.

These days, everyone wants something for nothing. And our way of life has unfortunately made us PUSSIES! And it pisses me off.

If war was to come to our home turf, would you put your life on the line to protect your lands?

My Blog: Long Read
By: JaiBarks

Read if you want... I was high on Rockstar when I typed this out. So that is why none of it will most likely make sense.

you know what...

I've been thinking... I know surprising eh ? haha shut up.

What would life have been like if everything was different ? I don't mean like absolutely everything or else I would be named Wolf, and most likely wouldn't be in the situation I am in currently, I'd already be out on the streets saving people. but here is what I mean, what if certain things in my life were strategically different. Well there is the absolutely obvious, school choices, what I did at school, or the lack thereof. But what I am specifically talking about was when I was living @ 88 Culver Crescent in London.

So there was 2 of the 5 that moved in earlier than the rest. You would think that we would be like having dinner together, lunch whatever. But for some messed up reason, we really never did? Which looking back at it now could be because the other half wanted it her way or no way. But that is how she was brought up so there was nothing I really could do to combat that. So that could be why we were two completely different functions items. But now that I am looking back, it really bothers me. It honestly does. Like I could not imagine how much better it could have been if everything could have just been more pleasant in the first couple weeks leading up to signing the lease and then the following weeks of move in days/time. All of the emotional convo's that we did have just me and her either sitting in my room and just chatting for hours, or sitting in her room on the bed drunk off our asses, or me sitting on the stairs and just shooting the shi*t, why could those experiences happen, but we could not just get together and have a meal ? I mean, me and her were the original 2 that would chill in Pre-Health, and then in Residence. But back to the whole meal thing. How many things would have changed if only we got together for meals. Guidelines might have been easier to be set (None were set in reality). When dinner would roll around, I would eat upstairs, she would downstairs. but why ? duh, the confrontations. It was just weird, flipping back and forth. How many confrontations never would have happened if only we ate together once and a while. Only in the final months were we "sorta" closer. We gathered around Pussycat Dolls: The Search for the Next Doll. Yes I watched it and called them all whores. and yes I cheered for Chelsea to win, or the other girl to win, oh well. I know I am not normal, shut it!

I know I also have been talking in circles, but it happens once and a while... and I mean the Rockstar obviously is helping this haha. Let's see. then there was the girl. What was I thinking... and since I am posting this on Deviantart, Fb, Snowboard colonies, along with a couple other places, sooner or later she will prolly read this, if she admits it or not. Was it a right choice, at that point I thought it was because she looked like one of the girls on my brothers baseball team that I, in the simplest terms, adored. This girl was just stunning in my young eyes, and since I knew I never had a chance with this girl since I was so young, I averted my eyes to this new girl, that as I saw it looked like her. and I mean being with her for as long as I did, I don't even see the likeness at all anymore. But I did at the time. oh well. I wouldn't call my life ruined from her, but my life didn't get much easier when she was around. I did enjoy her company, because I never had someone who I could go to that wasn't my mom or brother. Sorry to myself, but it's the truth. I have never had someone whom I could just talk to and let everything go, I could laugh with, talk to for hours about nothing, just sit and say nothing, or play video games and actually not have to teach the person how to play, they would just try and really wasn't that bad. Not better than me, a durr, I couldn't have that now could I ? yeah I didn't think so either haha. So yeah, I never have had someone like that that wasn't blood, and I was at that time, glad I did have it. Wow Rockstar works eh ? haha. I am shaking... Although it could be from the coldness of the room. Back to her. So shi*t was alright, I felt like the protector, and I really liked this new power. and Since she will prolly find this sooner or later (I hope) here goes the big secrets. The friend I said that I argued with about you, and I said that I lost touch with because I didn't like what she was saying about her, never happened. There was no arguement between my good friends back in good ol' St.C. If there was, no girl comes before my friends, sorry, My friends come first, especially the person I was saying I lost touch with. I mean yeah, we do butt heads once and a while when I think she needs to go to College or know that some of her choices are stupid, but shi*t happens, and we have (hopefully) gotten past that past instances. back to the girl. There was a conversation with my one roommate about her though, while I was still in res. I talked to the one guy, and he told me to get out because obviously I wasn't happy. a year later... I didn't listen to him obviously. But time happens. Next, I never wanted you to meet my friends, why people would most likely ask... because in my eyes at least at that time, I thought you were good enough for me, but you would never be good enough for my friends. I know it doesn't make any sense that you would be good enough for me, but not them. I was just I guess embarassed to show them that I had in fact found something out in the "REAL WORLD" that I enjoyed. In the back of my head the entire time I knew I should have been with someone more "fit" or "athletic" maybe a volleyball player or something like that... you people reading this understand right ? The typical girl. Someone who I could take home and be like see, she is my girl, not.... bring someone home and be see, here she is, not here is MY GIRL. just here SHE IS... Obviously this is pig headed of me and I realize this. But for some reason still beyond me, I wanted some sort of companionship. I guess I got that from her ? Don't know about her since she doesn't write like I do, like this for example. Which is really another reason why we don't talk now. She can't talk, it is like a permanent tongue cut... make sense ? not trying to make that a jab at you if you are still reading this. You just could never communicate with me in your own "heart" and "feelings". they were always someone else's feelings or thoughts.

Which brings me to paragraph 3. EVERYONE ELSE'S FEELINGS. wow my hands are cold. keep going. no more Rockstar tonight. It was never you and I, and I think that was one of the problems we had. Since you couldn't say what you thought, at least as much when you would, I would shut you down and make everything you said look wrong. My linguistics did that and I apologize, not like it helped. Back to the topic. Since you couldn't say what you thought and felt, you went to surrounding passers-by, who divulged into lives and lurked for too long for me to be comfortable. Those passers-by were your voice. Wow. I never should have taken that long of a break. My brain isn't in the same mindset anymore. Ok Let’s try this again… Rob Zombie will help me now. So as I was saying, your passers-by were your voice and as I saw it, they were you. I was not with you, I was with them and had to deal with them because you refused to live your life, you let others do it for you, and thus up to that point that is exactly what got you by. With that said. Where is she going now ? Well since she is back in the home city, she has been manipulated from what I thought I had created to keep the head on straight and possibly create an own person. I was wrong, they have sucked the life out of you. You are finished for life now till you finally break away and find out that these people are telling you what to do, what to think. When you were in your first yrs of college, you couldn’t bugger off to other provinces, but what a freakin’ surprise, the second you are forced back to your home city, now you are being spoon-fed bullshat! That’s right BULL-SHAT ! You have been shown that as long as you dwell under the home city, the world is yours and you have no problems or worries. “Just don’t ever leave or we will disown you and leave you for dead on the side of the street” “We don’t care what you think, because you are useless to the world, and will amount to nothing… why is that you ask? Well you aren’t allowed to ask questions, so shut the fack up and get back into your overcrowded room and sit till we tuck you in for bed.”

Wow that felt good to get out FINALLY.  So you can think what you want from that, but isn’t it funny that you “lost all feelings for me as soon as you slinked back to the home city ?” yeah, that’s what I thought too. The brainwashing and hand-feeding has commenced. I guarantee with everything that is holy, that if you were in any other city but the current one, you would still not be “over me”. And why is that, because you don’t know who you are, so you rely on other people to tell you what to say and what to think. Isn’t it surprising that when you were living in the house, and had temporarily lost contact with the reliers, that you were HAPPY, you were enjoying life, you had an honest fun time. I don’t think you can deny that. There were obvious rough patches, but those were because of situations at the house, or your reliers trying to wedge back into the situation and I got frustrated when you were letting them (Calling them every single night and filling them in on daily occurances)… What are you going to do when they finally pass ? who are you going to call then ? one of your other reliers and spill to them. Where will you live ? Since they like the younger half more than you, Younger will have the house. And we all know younger won’t want you hanging around.
You know that you need to get away. I know you do. But unfortunately you will never be able to see this until you stop listening to background noises and see what YOU REALLY WANT. Not what everyone else has told you you want to hear and do.

So this was fun. I got a lot out. No clue why this all came up, but it did. Kinda for some reason just pissed me off. Damn people randomly getting on my nerves for no reason haha.

Peace all. This is a good 2000 words to read… I will try and drowned out the harassers in my head and the paranoia that now exhausts my life. I will stick to my 100% exams and 93% essays. See I can write and I know how to write. Go me!

So I got sick of carrying a camera and the digi-cam and really failed at my usual 100+ pics.  I did have Cassi take alot of video on the trip, although most of it in the car.  I took one vid of my riding from Pierre's Knob chair at Bridger Bowl down to the base...I took it pretty easy as carrying the digi sucked as when riding...also got a cool chunk of Perr hittng 2 kickers in the trees.  I have a few pics on my phone I need to upload, and several others on the trip have pics I needto compile as they get posted.  I wouldn't expect the video until the end of the season, as I plan to edit it all and put music over parts seeing as our commentary probably sucks ass.

So, for now, I will just sahre a bit from the trip.  The usually shi*tty long drive sucked, but was worth it.  Our cabin was pretty sweet this year, with the intent on having stalls for 6 quarter-horses on the lower level.  Beautiful scenery everywhere.  Moonlight Basin was amazing, and easily my new favorite resort.....tree runs there were just sick.  Bridger Bowl was status quo, but tons o gapers on Monday.

The big ticket of this trip was the 5-man group riding Lone Peak....talk about intense!  The peak was shrouded in clouds, especially the south face where we plannd to ride down the Liberty Bowl.  The initial drop-in was smooth and not very steep until you rounded the gates/fences (I assume these are to protect people from losing gear at the top in the wind or getting blown into dangerous places).  At the lip, it was a much different story....I could see down only about 150-200 yards in the clouds and talk about steep!  Wow!  It was intimidating to get moving down it, but once I got my first 2 turns in and a rythm going it was a cake walk.  I had to stop 4 times to catch my breath, which each progressive stop coming further apart....glad I quit smoking 90 days ago or it would have been worse!  I am guessing about 1200 to 1500 feet down the clouds started to break and I could see another 1500 feet or so to the drop in of the Rockville Bowl by the Shedhorn lift.  We stopped at the entrance to the Bavarian forest for the last time, then rode the last stretch non-stop to Shedhorn.  It took an hour to complete and was easily the gnarliest ride I had taken yet.  I highly reccomend it to anyone that visits Big Sky.

Anyways, I think Archie got some pics of us resting durng our peak ride.  I know others have pics as well.  I will post them as I get them and hope to have the vid up ASAP.

Shred till your dead!  Hope everyone else is having an ill season as well!

Last Xmas a group of friends and I went to a strange and unknown country called Kyrgystan. I really didnt want to go but my very good mate sounded so excited that I couldnt say no plus I cant say no normally anyway :-) ... so I said yes, lets do it ... I will leave out all the moans and crazy shi*t we ve been through such as lack of heat indoors, hot water, toilets, sane people, good service (well, service full stop), streetlights, medical personnel on the slopes, decent lifts and so on - and stick to a good side of the story :- ) ...

It was my first time on the board (scrapping on Nagoranya`s ice once before doesnt really count) and it took a few days to brace myself to actually ride the hill. By that time there wasnt much snow left on the track and I wasnt skilled enough to join freeriders conquering untouched fields of snow on the picks, openings and between the gorgeous monumental giant green trees!!! A guy from our group in a pink crash-helmet with the better crash-pants (as I discovered later) than mine and whose cheeky eyes I d never managed to look into (for he was wearing goggles with a very strong sun-reflecting filters at all times)  offered me a lesson. To tell the truth I was very keen to take on the offer. It was so unwise of me for I was enjoying a relationship back home that was sort of "settled down" type. I was happy to be settled down and was looking forward to having a family very soon..... Fortunately or unfortunately the pink helmet guy was giving me butterflies in the stomach from the first day on the slopes...... And I agreed... That was a down fall  - literally.... :-)

...He took me to the track that wasnt a track in fact but a strip of a slope right under the lift to the top of the mountain. It was hardly ridden, therefore covered in snow and soft and welcoming...Although very narrow and packed with metal stuff sticking out every now and again...I was scrapping and scrapping and falling over... It was funny when people were looking down on me - I mean down like in down from the lift and laughing at me with comments like " what the f*ck are u doing? U can hardly stay on the board :-)". That was cuz it was god`s honest truth - I was literally rolling down the hill when I wasnt scrapping trying not to crash into metal objects on the way. Pink helmet was stopping every now and again and waited for me... I was a bit pissed off as he criticized me a lot. I felt it wasnt fair and, although his criticism was quite constructive, I wanted him to tell me I was doing well for a beginner, roll me over and kiss me on the lips so the heat of our breath will be seen above our heads! But he never did...

.... Well, up we went again and I was so angry at him and so determined to not to be a chicken that I started turning! Forgive me for the lack of appropriate terminology here but I pray that its possible for an experienced rider to follow my story...  O, alas, what a joy it was!!! Loads of stars were caught when I was banging my head and my poor finest ass against a hard-hard ground despite wearing full protection. Only my knees were safe - knees protection is the best! But I got "cool Mashka, u see u can do it" from the pink helmet - that made my day. Frankly, it didnt realy matter anymore  - I felt with my body how to control the board and how to make it fly!!!! - that was the only thing that mattered then. Dont get me wrong  - I m a beginner and can hardly ride cuz I m a chicken and am taking a step at a time, but I discovered the joy of snowboard...... Its a pure freedom and so so so sexy....

...Sitting somewhere near the top of the mysterious T`yan` Shan` (near cuz to get to the top I had to use a T-bar lift and I kept falling off it :-), sipping a spirit-ual :-) liquid of some sort or another from someones flask, breathing in the clearest sweetest air that fills you up with joy, adoring the gorgeous mountains and the turquoise surface of the infamous salted lake of Kyrgystan - Issik Kul` - somewhere at the foot of the mountain - that was happiness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pure, crystal clear and genuine happiness!

Thats how I fell in love!............

It blows my mind that Christian groups in the United States are boycotting "The Golden Compass."  If their beliefs are as strong as they believe them to be then surely they can take a little questioning.
Here is a great read from Mark Moford regarding this issue.
-----

It has become a rule, some sort of law of the popular culture upon which any open-minded human worth her soul can rely with utter and perfect clarity.

It goes like this: If there is a piece of art, a TV show, a column, a book, a movie, a blog, a movement, a wine bottle or sexual position that somehow deeply threatens the various ultraconservative sects of Christian-blasted America to the point where their pale, dour representatives demand boycotts and distribute angry pamphlets to try to stop people from experiencing said hunk of culture because of how negatively it portrays their seething, condemnatory God, well, it's time to break out the Champagne. Or buy that book. Or get very, very naked. Or all of the above.

So it is with the first movie made from Philip Pullman's astonishing "His Dark Materials" trilogy, "The Golden Compass," a complex, mystically gorgeous, spiritually dense, big-budget fantasy epic so far removed from the cute wizardry of Harry Potter and the thin, childish, monochromatic Christian morality of, say, "The Chronicles of Narnia," that it might as well be a Coen brothers movie. On acid.

Oh my God yes - they are protesting. They are pamphleting. From the Catholic League and Focus on the Family to evangelical/fundamentalist Christian blogs from here to Colorado Springs, they are calling on their trembling armies to boycott the film because they believe that Pullman's brilliant books - which, by the way, if I had the power, I would place in the eager hands of every youngish human on the planet, especially the girls - are not only aggressively anti-Christian, but that they also describe, as their grand finale, nothing less than the death of God. This is what they say.

And here is the terrific thing: They are absolutely right.

But let's be a bit more specific, shall we? Because as any fan of "HDM" knows, it ain't really about God, per se. Pullman's luminous novels have nothing to do with rejecting faith or destroying the spirit or inhibiting the exploration of what it means to be divine. They are, in fact, the exact opposite. They relish spirit and the magic of belief and love, are soaked through with divine inspiration of a kind any intelligent Christian (or honest spiritual seeker of any stripe, for that matter) should crave. This is what makes them so incredible.

The nefarious thing the books aim to kill is religious authority. It's about the destruction of dogma. It's about power, about who wants to control and manipulate life on Earth, about the blind, ignorant, even violent adherence to insidiously narrow codes of thought, belief, behavior, sex, desire and love.

This, of course, is the God of organized religion. This is the false deity that promotes numb groupthink, inhibits growth and abhors the feminine divine (perhaps the books' most beautiful, inspiring theme), the same paranoid, dreadful God that votes for George W. Bush because he will smite the icky gays and protect us from vile pagans and Buddhists and Muslims and feminists and frumpy genius atheist British writers. If humanity is to flourish, to get over its addiction to war and guilt and fear, this is the false God that should - that must - die.

Although the books have as their evil antagonist a sinister cabal called the Magisterium (obvious parallel: Catholic Church), they also have a slew of dark characters in service of the Magisterium, various assassins, double agents and robot drones running around trying to annihilate the children's spirit, destroy magic and lock down faith forever. Let us call these robotic drones, oh, say, the Catholic League. Or Focus on the Family. Gosh, no wonder they're a little peeved.

But it's almost too easy, is it not? Even a child can see that these people are so far from true spirit, so far from open consciousness, it's a bit like comparing a lint ball to a cloud bank, a dung beetle to a flower bed. They are spiritual caricatures, the creepy clowns in organized religion's gloomy circus, all scrunched brows and gnarled hands and so much repressed sexuality that it would make a porn star wince. Really, why give their silly protests any attention at all?

For one thing, because these groups have proven that they can be highly dangerous, utterly toxic to the culture as a whole. You already know the list - FCC crackdowns, stem cell research, ultraconservative judges, abstinence education, anti-choice laws, vicious homophobia, intelligent design, the rejection of science - all of which aim for the creation of a fascist theocracy in America.

In fact, director Chris Weitz, who adapted "The Golden Compass" for the screen, reportedly removed any direct mentions of God or religion from the film version, fearing, along with New Line Cinema, some sort of Christian conservative backlash. Fans were, appropriately, outraged. It remains to be seen how much of those vital themes Weitz left intact, but you could argue that the Bible-thumpers have already taken their sad toll.

(But I do look forward to the bloodcurdling screams that will surely come from these groups when they see the third film, which, if the creators hold at all true to the original book, and presuming the movie gets made at all, features a pair of wonderful, immensely powerful, tragic gay angels.)

It might not matter. With any luck, and if "The Golden Compass" turns out to be even half as wondrous as the book, it will hopefully fuel a surge in sales of the "HDM" trilogy in America and, perhaps, inspire a new literary awakening among young readers, darker and more complex and even (gasp) slightly sexual, far beyond the clever but innocuous magic of Harry Potter - which, by the way, had its share of religious bonk-jobs calling for its destruction, as wizardry is clearly the dominion of the devil. We all know what a huge drop in sales that protest caused.

But there is another note of good news from this tale of fear and whining and outcry, and it takes the form of another delightful rule upon which your soul can happily rely, as well as a heartfelt lesson for trembling ultraconservative sects everywhere.

It's this: If your ancient, authoritarian, immutable belief system is threatened by a handful of popular novels, if your ostensibly all-powerful, unyielding creed is rendered meek and defenseless when faced with the story of a fiery, rebellious young girl who effortlessly rejects your stiff misogynistic religiosity in favor of adventure, love, sex, the ability to discover and define her soul on her own terms, well, it might be time for you to roll it all up and shut it all down and crawl back home, and let the divine breathe and move and dance as she sees fit. Don't you agree?

....FOR FREEDOM!!!

“In a time of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act. –George Orwell

The year is 1913, Woodrow Wilson is president, and powerful banking interests, who have been trying for year, finally achieved their long term goal, of silently taking control of the American government.

The first thing the did to accomplish their take over was convince secretary of state, Flan Denox, to lie to the American people, and tell them that the 16th amendment [Income Tax Amendment] had been legally ratified by the states when it was not. The bankers knew that this tax would ultimately end up in their pockets.

Because of this fraud the American people were led to believe there was a tax on their labor. Congress and the President ARE completely aware of this fraud and it was cited in a recent court case:

“If you… examined [the 16th amendment] carefully, you would find that a sufficient number of states ratified that amendment.” -U.S. District Court Judge, James C. Fox, 2003

That very same year [1913] the bankers committed their second, and by far most diabolical fraud ever perpetrated on the American people, by bribing senators to pass the Federal Reserve Act, without the required Constitutional amendment. They did this during Christmas vacation, when many senators where home celebrating Christmas with their families.

And that is how the unconstitutional Federal Reserve Act came into being. They were very clever, and understood that who ever issued the money for America controlled the government.

“Give me control of a nations money supply, and I care not who makes its laws.” -Mayer Rothschild, Private Banker

President Wilson, who signed the Federal Reserve Act later said in regret:

“I’m a most unhappy man; I have unwittingly ruined my country a great industrial nation is now controlled by a system of credit. We are no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinions and duress of a small group of dominant men.” -Woodrow Wilson, 1919

How did America transform from being a truly free country with a servant government where our individual rights are protected by our Constitution, to being a country that talked about being free but really wasn’t?

The change started when the Federal Reserve came into existence, and America adopted one of the major planks of the Communist Manifesto by creating for America this central bank.

The very same people that back the Federal Reserve System also back the graduated income tax, a second plank from the Communist Manifesto.

And now our Congress so dominated by the banks, is helping them entrap people even further by passing new Bankruptcy Laws making it more difficult for the people to declare bankruptcy and get a fresh start.

“Who controls money controls the world.” -Henry Kissinger, Council of Foreign Relations

*President Bush has signed executive orders give him sole authority to impose martial law and suspending Habeas Corpus. This gives him dictatorial power over the people without any checks or balances.

*The creation of secret watch lists that ban those named from air and other travel.

“The Constitution is just a goddamn piece of paper.” -George W. Bush, Nov. 2005, Capitol Hill Blue

During the 1990’s President Clinton monitored millions of private phone calls placed by U.S. citizens. He did this under a secret program code named: Echelon. The wide spread use of wire tapping Americans during the Clinton administration proves that this practice was not started because of 9/11 but is standard procedure.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The new legislation for the national ID card is in and takes three to for pages to describe. It will be connected to our driver’s licenses and Social security numbers. A physical ID such as finger prints or retinal print will be on it.

This law known as the Real ID Act takes effect in May 2008. Anyone with out a card will not be permitted to board an air plain, Amtrak train, open a bank account, or enter a federal building.

The bill mandates that all drivers’ licenses contain “common readable technology. A radio frequency identification (RFID) chip will be used.

“It is time to wake up America. Those ID cards are NOT about defeating terrorism, they are all about controlling the American people.” -Aaron Russo

The latest technology for identifying people when they make purchases is the implantable chip that can be directly imbedded into human flesh. Its tiny glass capsule is about the size if a grain if rice. It contains an RFID computer chip with a coiled antenna.

Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, and others have expressed great interest in being able to more closely monitor the American people. And one way to do that would be to determine who buys what and where they take these things.

Radio frequency can travel through walls, wood, the things we normally rely on to protect our privacy. For example your backpack, your pocket, anything you’re wearing or carrying.

They were talking about having reader devices in every airport, on every bus, every train, on every port and every dock.

One of the most worrisome applications of RFID is proposals to put in cash. Meaning that you’d be able to track every bank note, where it has been, who it has been issued to, and create an essence an audit trail that would essentially take away the anonymity of cash, that we enjoy today.

The ATM machine itself, as the money came through the roller device, would be reading each number. And it would know who you are; of course you identify yourself at banks or ATMs. And the ATM would tag the number, and transfer the possession name from, say Bank of America to Joe Jones.

Once every thing you do is tied down to a single number, and there is no longer the option to pay with cash, then all it takes to render you a non citizen is to simply turn you chip off. Then you won’t be able to participate in ant function in society, including buy food.

Through the implementation of the Federal Reserve System, the American citizen has gone from being a private individual who had real money, and gold in possession that was private, to a citizen who has no privacy because all money is now being digitized. They can deduct however amount of money they want out of your digits when ever they want, and they can trace you when ever they want. You’ll be at there mercy. God forbid we allow this to happen in America

“This is outrageous! I mean your talking about the government looking over your shoulder at absolutely everything you do, every purchase you make, every place you go, every company you interact with, would be recorded back to potentially the government.” -Katherine Albrecht, author of “Spy Chips”

Have we become so controlled and ignorant about our rights, that big institution and big governments can do whatever they want with us even with out our approval?

I know for certain that our founding fathers would resist to the death what is happening in America today. And I for one will not accept a national ID card. And if nobody accepts a national ID card, and nobody can board a plain without one, then let the airlines go bankrupt. And if you can’t open an account in a big national bank, then open one in a small local bank. And if we can’t walk into a federal building, I’d personally consider that a blessing.

Don’t allow these institutions to dictate to us how we conduct our lives. This is America, and we have free choice! We the people have the power not the government. The government gets its power from us, not the other way around.

Think of all the men and women that died in all our wars fighting for freedom, not Federal Reserve bankers. Do you think they sacrificed their lives so America could get chipped like a dog, so we can all have homing devices inside us? NO! This ID card is the last step before they implant us, and that is precisely the reason no one should accept one.

And you know what they’re going to do? They’re going to call in the propaganda machine, the media, and try to sell this RFID chip as if it was in everybody’s best interest.

“We shall have a world government whether or not we like it. The only question is whether the world government will be achieved by conquest or consent.” -Paul Warburg, architect of the Federal Reserve System, 1950

The central bankers of the world are working together to create a one world government. A global police sinister was the only thing George Orwell ever wrote about. Where every person on the planet Earth will have an RFID chip implant, where the bankers and the governments have access to every transaction you make.

A chip in every in everybody would be the universal monitory system, because there would be no escape from it.

Most people don’t have a clue that these unelected private bankers, actually control the governments of the world. They have actually financed and profited from ever war since World War I, without concern for humanity. The war in Iraq is an attempt by the Federal Reserve and their partner the Bank of England to control the middle east, and make it part of the new world order.

“Military men are just dumb stupid animals, to be used as pawn in foreign policies.” -Henry Kissinger

The war on terrorism is the war on your freedom.

“The bankers own take it away from them but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough money to buy it back again. However, take away the power to create money, and all great fortunes like mine will disappear and ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in.

But if you wish to remain slaves of the bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money.” - Sir Josiah Stamp, former director of the Bank of England

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine, and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years.

It would have been impossible for us to develop our plans for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But now the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march toward a world government. The supra national sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto determination, practiced in past centuries.”

-David Rockefeller, private banker, council on foreign relations, June 1991

“The real rulers in Washington are invisible and exercise power from behind the scenes.” -Felix Frankfuter, U.S. Supreme Court Justice

“It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.” -Henry Ford

Now that you do understand what happened in 1913, and how it is leading to world government, the future depends on you. Will you choose freedom or slavery? Stop living in fear of your government. Government is the servant. We are the masters.

So what are you going to do about it? Join together in civil disobedience. Be willing to take part in nationwide strikes, boycotts, and marches on Washington. Force Congress to use their power to shut down the Federal Reserve. Government has authority to issue money, without paying interest to the bankers. This will take away the power to control our government from the bankers. Only vote for candidates who have signed an affidavit to shut down the Federal Reserve System and stop world government.

If you are in the military or law enforcement, remember you swore an oath to defend the American Constitution. You didn’t swear an oath to promote world government. Honor your Oath.

DONOT accept the national ID card, even if it’s your drivers’ license. We must demand that the American peoples gold be audited, and make certain that it has not been stolen. This asset must be returned to the American people.

Abolish computer voting in the state where you live. Stop being a good Democrat, stop being a good Republican, start being good Americans.

And when the media starts telling you that the country will fall apart if this is done, don’t be fooled. This is just the Federal Reserve trying to save itself. Squash it!

“I like the old idea, where you could do what you thought you could do and what you wanted to do as long as you didn’t hurt anyone.”

 -Ron Paul

If you believe in civil disobedience and wish to organize with millions of Americans in this battle for liberty, please sign up at freedomtofascism.com, and if you choose not to help, report to Central Services immediately and we will have you fitted for an RFID chip… for you own safety, of course.

”We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.”
-Benjamin Franklin, at the signing of the Declaration of
Independence, July 4, 1776

Uninted we stand, Divided we fall.

Gun That Killed Goldsboro Boy Was Stolen Posted:

Jul. 24, 2007

Goldsboro — Police on Tuesday said the handgun involved in the accidental shooting death of an 8-year-old boy last week was reported stolen a year ago. Andre Wilder and his 12-year-old brother found the .45-caliber gun in the woods near their home, police said. Andre was playing with it at the family's home on July 17, and the gun went off as his brother tried to take it away from him for his own protection, police said. Andre died later at Wayne Memorial Hospital from a single gunshot to his face. The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives traced the gun to its former owner, who had reported last year that it was stolen from a vehicle parked outside a Wal-Mart in Goldsboro. Police said they haven't matched the gun to any crimes. Shenita Wilder-Dancy, the boys' mother, said people have been using the area around her rural home as a dumping ground. She said she believes Andre found the gun and thought it was a toy. No charges are expected to be filed in the case, police said.

This was my friends lil bro.... please pay some respect.

da da da da
The smell of your skin lingers on me now
You're probably on your flight back to your hometown
I need some shelter of my own protection baby
Be with myself in center, clarity, peace, serenity

I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We got some straightening out to do
And not gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've gotta get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry, Dont cry, Dont cry

The path that I'm walking, I must go alone
I must take the baby steps til I'm full grown
Fairy tales don't always have a happy ending do they
And I forseek the dark ahead if I stay

I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We got some straightening out to do
And not gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've gotta get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry, Dont cry, Dont cry

Like a little school mate in the school yard
We'll play jacks and uno cards
I'll be your best friend
And you'll be my valentine
Yes you can hold my hand if you want to
Cuz I wanna hold yours too
We'll be playmates and lovers and share our secret worlds
But it's time for me to go home
It's getting late, dark outside
I need to be with myself in center, clarity, peace, serenity

I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We got some straightening out to do
And not gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've gotta get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry, Dont cry, Dont cry

2007.03.30 Friday

Free riding!♪

We went to Whistler mountain!Tadashi, Aki, Shota, Taro, and me Keiji.Contrary to the forecast, it was good weather today. It was the first time in a long time we went up the mountain because we have been shooting with our sleds lately. There were still so much good snow on the peak and it boost our spirits. We all hit the mogul slopes so our legs are so tired but we had so much fun. Some birds came to have lunch with us.Aki with Taro’s sun glasses. In the afternoon, we headed to the snowboard park.It was so crowded because it was sunny. The people there were so greedy to drop in that you couldn't tell when and who was dropping in. It was like a boarder cross race. After we went down the mountain, we had some beers and chicken wings.Chicken wings are so tasty! Some are spicy and some are sweet. When I went to Alaska, I ate chicken wings all the time.Everybody loved it.We had so much fun free riding. Riding with friends is the best!

It looked like it was going to be sunny so we all met early in the morning.Tadashi, Takumi, Shota, Taro(filmer) and me, Keiji.Aki recovered from his back problem and joined us.We shot a cliff, and an up jump, and rode some lines and explored some new places.

2007.03.26 Monday

ROAD GAP

Hey it's Keiji! Yesterday, early in the morning, we went to check out the very famous road gap! The members were Tadashi, Takumi, Shota, Dice-K Maru (photographer), Taro-san (videocameraman) and me.

Tadashi can imagine how the landing would be. We came here for the first time in a year and...the slope is really big as I was expecting... If the gap is compared to a building, the building would be how many stories?(^^;) The snow around there was bad and it was dark, so we decided to try this next time when the condition is better. Before we left this gap, we played long cast with snow balls and we tried to hit a piece of wood. It looked easy but it’s not actually. We started to get pissed off that nobody was hitting the target! Tadashi hit the target first and he got beers from everybody! He used to be a pitcher so he was good. Taro-san was 3 base and also a switch-hitter. We threw too many snoballs, like a 100 and now I have pain in my shoulder. Shota was the worst and he has to buy coffees for us. It was raining so we took the day off today and I went to the skate park with Tadashi. Since the skate park is under ground, the air is not clean but we enjoyed ourselves and broke a sweat. Now my muscles are sore.

03/23/07

Snowing Whistler!

Today, we went to a spot where it took an hour by car. It’s nice to go somewhere different. It’s so exciting searching for a nice spot. It's so much fun. Today’s agenda was to hit some pillow lines and Shota and Takumi did some awesome cliff drops. Their lines were pretty cool. After that, we moved on in search of a better place but we couldn’t find any. It’s really hard to find a nice spot, I’m telling you. I want you to know this! (Though its fun trying...)

03/22/07

2007.03.22 Thursday

Hey, yo!This is Keiji the filmer again.I went filming today with Aki & Koni.It was cloudy but we shot some mushroom lines and pillow lines. We had to wait for the sunlight to drop in, and it was tough but we got some nice shots despite the conditions.

  ↓ ↓

In the afternoon, we looked for a place where no one had been to.We kept getting stuck again and again!

I’m hungry----!We were filming too!!Yesterday, it was nice weather and we did some shooting. Our crew was Taro(video cameraman), Takumi, Shota and me(Tadashi). It was sooo much fun! Shota and Takumi are funny guys. They took forever to double up but they made it! I knew the brothers could do it. It’ll be fun to follow their carreers. Everybody, wait till you see the photos and videos! They are killing it!

03/21/07

2007.03.21 Wednesday

What a relief...We gathered at the parking lot at seven thirty in the morning. The members were Aki, Koni, Maru-san, and me(Keiji). The nice weather made us high. (^^)

The snow was deep and a lot nicer than we thought. No one had come out yet so we had to make our own track to get to the top.But before we arrived to the spot that we had marked out, the other crews like Devun Walsh, Chris Dufficy and Sandbox came one after another and the “spot race” began. Devun’s crew was so fast... They shot a nice spot without wasting any time. We have to be like that...

Aki did a jump and it caused an avalanche and he got carried away a little bit. I was so frightened but he wasn’t hurt at all and he continued to film until nightfall.

We all came back safely and our sleds had no trouble today.I realized the immense values in this.Alright! We will kick ass tomorrow by drinking yummy beer tonight!

DAY OFF

2007.03.20 Tuesday

This is Koni bringing you some news from Whistler under uninspiring weather.I’m at Tadashi’s place now. There are many books, DVDs, rare skateboard decks and some other interesting things. There's Grand Sumo tournament on TV, wow Kakuryu won by a frontal slap-down. It was quick. I took a day off today. The reasons was that my body got worked in last night's session, and the weather is bad. So I decided to go skateboarding in the evening. There is a skate park underground. “Under ground” it’s not just “Under ground” but on the third floor in the basement. We had to take the elevator to get down there, and it’s like going to a hideout. There is no fresh air so I can’t stay there for a very long time or I will get sick. So I just skate a bit and break a sweat and then take off. After I left the hideout I enjoyed coffee at Starbucks.I spend my days off like this. It seems to be bad weather tomorrow too.I want to go snowboarding!!! I’ll wake up at five o'clock am anyway with my fingers crossed!

03/19/07

Waiting for sunshine.

2007.03.19 Monday

Hey, This is Keiji.I went filming with Aki & Koni with our sleds.

We thought that in the morning it would be sunny so we left the house earlier than usual! The other filming crews were also gathering around the gas stand.

But when we got into the backcountry, there were more crowds than I thought and the visibility was very poor. We had to wait for the sunshine to get any filming done. Timing matters. It was tough to find the right timing for filming...

That night, Aki & Koni, Maru-san, Taro-san and I did some sessions at the Heart House.

Aki did a front side 180 and back side 180 from 50-50.Koni was trying to do some fun tricks like jumping over the wood rail. But he tried to jump over the last wood rail and bailed super hard.He fell dangerously but he was OK. Whew!Nice try, Koni!

  03/18/07

2007.03.18 Sunday

Hi, there! It’s Taro.(heart’s filmer)When I woke up yesterday morning, it was snowing hard so we(Takumi, Shota, Maru-san and me) thought we could do something so we went to shoot near the house by sled.

We looked around for a spot and then Maru-san suggested one.Takumi and Shota scoped the area while we prepared for the shoot, then the snow became rain!

Since it turned to rain, we went to look for another easier spot and found this place.

Maru-san and I were having a hard time protecting our cameras from the rain.Takumi and Shota tried some tricks although they were wet, and we were able to do some filming because of their effort.Takumi, Shota and Maru-san, you guys did a good job today!

 03/17/07

2007.03.17 Saturday

Snow...!!!Powder!

14cm of new snow!I was so excited about going to Blackcomb with Tadashi! The weather forecast said it was getting warm in the afternoon. But when we got to the parking lot, it was already raining. We reminded ourselves that: ”It is only raining down here, up there it is snowing for sure!” and jumped onto the lift. But unfortunately, it was raining all the way to the top!In addition, there were strong winds. The strong winds were killer. The rain spoiled the long-waited snow...That’s life. I hope we have another snow fall!

We had fun in our own way despite the bad snow.

We found this unique kid. His lift ticket is too long!Whistler kids have a lot of energy even though it’s raining.

03/16/07

2007.03.16 Friday

Yo!Hellooo. My crew (Aki & Koni and me-Keiji) went to another spot.We scoped for a place to shoot some fun tricks. The weather was getting bad in the afternoon so we played with our snowmobiles and came back. (^^)

This is the place where Tadashi, Aki, Maru-san and I camped out with our sleds last year.

2007.03.16 Friday

Wassuuuuuuup? This is Taro (filmer).Today’s members were, Tadashi, Takumi, Shota and me.We went up to the mountain and...shi*t! I fell!I bailed when I was driving up a long slope and my sled rolled down over my head! Thank God for my helmet! THANK YOU MY HELMET!After the sled hit me, the sled went down hill all by itself and ran straight toward Tadashi and Takumi with unbelievable speed.Thankfully the sled stopped before it hit Tadashi and Takumi. It was miracle!I was worried about my sled hurting my friends, or what if the sled got broken?! Luckily, nothing bad happened and my wound was only a scratch.

After that we filmed here.

Tadashi, Takumi and Shota did really nice tricks for a total of nine times and it was cool to see them ride in person! It was worth getting hit by my sled!! Thank you riders.I’m looking forward to editing this footage for everyone to see in our DVD!!Ladies and Gentlemen, please wait a little bit more. Thanks!! Three riders were caught in an avalanche.

03/15/07

2007.03.15 Thursday

Yo! What’s up? This is Keiji the heart film’s filmer.I went shooting with Aki, Koni, and Dice-K Maru today. It had been a while since it was cold and today was a very cold day so there were some cars on the side of the highway because they had slipped on the ice. Some areas of the highway were closed. It was pretty bad. The weather was awesome so that I thought it’s going to be a great day, but... it wasn’t. My sled had trouble and I felt disappointed and sad. At the end of the day, I got a good shot with Maru-san and everybody’s help.

Aki & Koni

2007.03.15 Thursday

Hellooo! This is Taro the heart film’s filmer/editor.I came to Whistler and now I’m crazy about filming and my MAC!!Recently, my life consists of shooting and coming back in the evening, taking a shower, drinking some beers, do some work on my MAC, and then going to bed.In the heart house, there are Aki, Koni, Shota (who got a new MAC lately), and Takumi, who joined us yesterday and me. It’s nice and comfortable.

In the morning, I was about to start my sled and I couldn't find my key! Damn, I did it again!!It was so nice today so I must go up to the mountain to shoot so I went to the snow mobile shop and spent 40 min. each way (by car) to make a spare key quickly and come back. I kept everybody waiting in the beginning of the day. I’m so sorry everybody!Today’s members were Tadashi, Takumi, Shota, Jeff- (Burton’s cameraman), and me.

The places were like this.

 2007.03.05 Mondaymoon park 03

Hi there! This is Keiji - the filmer.Today, I went to AKIHABARA looking for some new camera gear. There were many geeky shops like NAKANO broadway (did you know?) or maybe it is more maniac.People in AKIHABARA are quite characters! (^o^;)

Besides AKIHABARA, here is another report from the Moon Park Session.

We remade the hip and started a session. The shape of the item was like spine at a skate park. It’s like two quarter pipes stacked. Can you imagine? Sorry for the poor explanation…

bs. Unpredictable Kosuke. Back side Rodeo.

03/02/07 moon park 02

2007.03.02 Friday

moon park 02

Hey, this is Keiji - the filmer for Heart Films. The Moon Park Session held from Feb.26th to 28th at Inawashiro was a hit!We were lucky enough to have our session in good weather at the Moon Park. We finished our shoot but we hope to continue with Moon Park and add extra features and keep making our ideas into reality. It is not a big space but there are many fun items. On the last day, I put aside my camera bag and had fun riding too!I liked the feature with the five jumps in a row. It was super fun to see all the riders do a whole bunch of tricks and one up each other and hit the jump all at once. It was crazy! The riders said that their heads were spinning doing so many back-flips!

03/02/07 moon park

2007.03.02 Friday

On the way back from the Moon Park… We stopped to shoot on the way back from the Moon Park Session.Aki, Shota, and Hiromi were there. Hiromi wasn’t in her best condition so she cheered us on.The spot was a deserted house. It's a spot that would be super scary at night, but under the fine sky it was a nice place to shoot. Aki chose the spot and Shota riigged it up and Hiromi cheered! The three riders had a fun time capturing some interesting images.

03/01/07 moon park

We just finished our 3 day shoot at “The Moon Park Session” with no problems.

The Moon Park Session was incredible! Tadashi Fuse’s vision for a fun park was built and created by “brave projects."All the “heart films” riders rode great and the filmers captured some sick shots for the DVD, HEART FILMS vol. 2!Transworld US cameraman Dice-K Maru and TWS Japan photographer, ZIZO, were there shooting the nonsense.Special thanks to everybody who came to the park!!The DVD and the photos will exceed your expectations!Don’t miss it!
