Peanut Butter and Rail Jam 2009

Peanut Butter and Rail Jam 2009

Seria imprez jibbingowych spod znaku Volcoma ponownie atakuje Europę.

snowboarding to me isn't like it is to so many. i see it the way fewer and fewer are seeing it every day. its become a fashion show that has truly gotten out of control. i really enjoy hiking in the mountains with a few friends. i enjoy documenting my past with video and photos. i love scaring the sh*t out of my self on rock rides and cliffs. i love waking up at noon and looking out the window and seeing dollar size snowflakes. i like putting peanut butter on a english muffing that very same morning. i like riding alone. i hike alone a lot too. i find my own lines that no one has done before and it really f*cks with your head when you pioneer a shoot you know nothing about. i like that the most. these are all things so many will never get to experience. maybe because im just lucky to live were i live, or maybe because to many people are trying to hard to fallow or even lead than just living it up. explore. try it. you might like it

This song by Calvin Harris - Acceptable in the 80s is a cool tune and makes fun of how things used to be in the 80's.

Now this kind of works the other ways in highlighting how bad things have got with things being steralised and made safe. I mean as a kid its all about putting things in your mouth to find out if it tastes good; toys, dirt all of it building up you immune system. Now though its all about making sure things are clean and no bacteria around which is giving us a generation of kids without immune systems. I mean look at the boom in peanut allergies, never existed back in the 80's but now everyone and their cat seems to have it.
Yeah great, things look clean and are bacteria free but at what cost to peoples long term health?

My Blog: Baldy pow
By: ScottyDearin

Switched things up and rode Baldy today.  All the morning snow reports showed no fresh and pretty blah webcams but once we got to the hill, sweet peanut butter pie it was snowy!  They're probably gonna fire the snow report guy because it was dumping and there was uber dry fresh pretty much everywhere you went.  We made fresh tracks all day long from 9 til last chair.  Tried to get some slasher shots but it was kind of white light so they didn't turn out as well as they could have.  Awesome day though...I think I'll go back for some more tomorrow...

Big weekend just past for contests across Canada and of course the competitive types from Paint the Town Red had their game faces on.  Congrats to Janelle Leclair on kicking some girly butt at Big White.  Janelle brought herself home a 1st place finish in the BCSA Provincial Series Slopestyle event in the Women's 19+ catagory and she also grabbed 2nd place in the overall women's field.  BIG UPS at Big White!
Saturday was the annual Volcom Peanut Butter & Rail Jam hosted at Blue Mountain.  Conditions were dope and the set up was redonkulous...yup...there's a DONK in there.  Jamie Corneal tore it up and was first in the Men's Open division.  Looks like Jamie is going back to Mammoth (Cali people) for the finals. What's that now....2 years in a row.  DAMN!!!!  check out http://www.volcom.com/pbrj/eventArticle.asp?articleID=111 for all the standings from the PB&RJ and for all upcoming events.
Super Bowl Sunday at Mount Saint Louis played host to Eventsing's most current stop for the You Look Good slopestyle series. (www.youlookgood.com)  The weather was crazy ruff, with 8 inches of fresh snow that had to be groomed from the park in the morning and then vicious winds and freezing temps through out the morning and white out snow in the afternoon made the day just that much more challenging.  Even though conditions weren't at their best, the comp. went off and was DOPE!  The less then ideal conditions didn't stop Danielle Brown from shreddin' the ladies division and putting up a performance good enough for 2nd place.  D.B looks good!  Congrats to everyone!

My Journal: Oh yum yum
By: lakia

So as of christmas i will have been smoke free for 2 months. Im pretty proud with myself for having quit smoking. On the flip side though, from time to time i do chew a bit. I have bought 3 tins in the last 2 months, mainly i just use it for when im drinking, or i take a tiny dip when im getting a craving a smoke. I could have used the patch or gum, but i decided to let the cowboy in me get out for a bit.

So today, im sitting there eating some toast with peanutbutter (yum yum) and i have a bottle of water, and another bottle that is my spit bottle that is the exact same kind of bottle as my water bottle. After eating a piece of toast i grab for what i thought was my water bottle, and took a good swig. Upon entering my mouth i realized that the liquid was not water at all, it was spit and chew remnants, now i didnt swallow, and i proceded to run to the kitchen sink and spit it out, and i succeded in not throwing up, although there was some definate gaggage going on.

In more recent news, sincei  have been completely broke the last few weeks, i have taken to destroying the lives of young children and grown men on Xbox Live playing gears of war. I am now in the top 3500 for this week, and over all about 15000 out over half a million people who play the game.

God im a f*cking loser....hahahahaha.....whistler, beware of the return of the for true crew 12-31-06

Yes!!! A Powder slide show.... its a really nice...

Wow.. What a great start to the season. Still only November and Whistler has mid season type coverage. I was talking to Marty "Whiteout's in house Scientist" and he says if all the snowflakes that have fallen on British Columbia's coastal mountains over the last couple weeks were scientifically turned into peanuts "get this" there'd be enough peanuts to feed the worlds population of elephants until like... December. Wow.. If anyone but Marty dropped that bomb on me I'd say they were crazy... but you can't step to Marty.

Whistler Skateboar Association and the Longhorn present to
you a Skateboard Rail jam Contest/ Fundraiser.

On Thursday, September 28, 2006, The Whistler Skateboard Association will be holding a fundraiser event at the Longhorn Saloon in Whistler. We will be setting up scaffolding on the patio and creating a street-style rail/ledge setup where skaters will be able to perform tricks on the obstacles and down the stairs. There will be two hours where the ramp is open for the public to have fun on (5pm to 7pm), and then in the evening (7pm to 9pm) we will be hosting a full-on competition where skaters will be competing for cash and prizes. As well, there will be live music and other stuff going on got anyone who comes to hang out and support the Whistler Skateboard Association, a non-profit community driven group formed to help take care of some of the many skateboard related issues in Whistler, especially the underground skatepark in Creekside. After the competition, there will be the video premiere of The Peanut Gallery, a locally produced skateboard film, and then the party will continue all night. This event will go on rain or shine, we have planned for tents and coverings for the ramps and of course, everyone can hang out inside,  listen to live music and, of course, have a great time.

We will be having three main categories of first-place prizes, with a $200 cash prize given to the skater who performs the best trick on the rail, on the ledges, and down the set of stairs, each. In addition to the cash prizes, we will be giving away lots of gear to the skaters for second and third places, as well as give-aways.. As well, there will be tons of shwag give-aways for the crowd, as well as raffles for some higher ticket items such as complete skateboards from the local shops.

Some of the supporters of this event are Longhorn Saloon, UnderExposed Media Group, Nomis Clothing, Westbeach the shop, Evolution, Katmandu, Red Bull, Gauge Clothing, SkateboardVillage.com and Ogio Bags.
