Sometimes I wonder if I have a disease.. Could be something simple as having ADHD or it could be something more complex.. All I know is that after extended periods of time (mainly a couple of months) of doing the same thing I get bored… I constantly crave excitement.. I am prone to boredom if I’m not doing something and without a doubt an adrenaline junky.. However I think my "disease" is more complex than just simply being addicted to the rush I get from an adrenaline spike..

All that to say that after several month of working 80 plus hour work weeks I have given myself 2 months off.. Time to let loose and run away a bit from responsibility.. Thus far I’ve spent 1 ½ weeks in CO visiting beloved family and decompressing.. Even played a bit of tourist.. Even though I spend A LOT of time in CO every year it was still fun to play like I’d never been before.. Many of us often forget how exciting life can be and the beauty of all that surrounds us.. Now I’m in CA.. Again visiting family but with some long time friends thrown in.. Thus far I’m practicing being a beach bum and have been spending time wakeboarding.. This morning I was sitting at my cousin’s kitchen counter cruising through a bowl of cheerios and scanning over my e-mail.. In a cheerio induced daze I spotted a strange species.. Said species gave a grunt as it strolled in with that long, long lean, edging toward gawky body dressed in navy boxers and a tattered Yoda T-shirt.. Sun streaked brown hair rumpled and messy with sea green eyes all groggy and maybe just a little bit cranky before its morning coffee.. Laughing.. Sad to say it’s been a while since I’ve seen a man in boxers (hence the strange species) and I’ve got to admit my eyes were a bit riveted to the sight!!!! And NO said man was NOT my cousin! Tomorrow I head to the X-Games.. Can’t wait to throw myself into that mash of excitement.. I’m hoping one of the boys might fall victim to my baby blues and let me toddle around on their dirt bike.. After X I’m headed to New Orleans to aid on a house construction for Habitat for Humanity.. I may look girly but I’m such a tomboy.. Granted my aide will mostly involve yard rehab and interior painting.
Update.. After New Orleans I headed to WY to hang with my brother and visit friends.. I let my friend Mallory, talk me into getting my hair cut.. OMG.. I look in the mirror now and go "WHO ARE YOU"?!?!" Laughing.. Later on my gal pals and I went mtn biking at Jackson Hole.. OMG is that mtn HUGE on a bike.. We girls were freakin flying!  It was a blast.. Even when we got a wee bit off trail and did a bit of "adventure" biking in the woods.. Woohoo..  My poor brother.. He's the other half of my heart but soo not the freak of nature energy wise that I am.. Laughing..

And now.. HOME SWEET HOME.. The best place in the world!

I woke up the other morning to the realisation that it's already the month of June. Which means that winter is less than six months away. One reason I suspect the time seems to have gone by so quickly is that, by most standards, the weather this spring has been rather sub-par with cooler than usual temperatures and lots of rain (let's save that precipitation for the winter folks). In the spirit of making the best of it, the Snowboard.Com east coast crew decided to end the month of May with a bang (from a boom stick) by taking in a musical.

The city of Toronto has a rather vibrant theatre scene. Which is not something you would expect snowboarders to notice but we can be highbrow once in a while too. Of particular interest, the Diesel Playhouse was putting on an adaptation of a classic cult zombie movie Evil Dead throughout the spring. When I tell people about it, they usually give me a strange "it's a musical about zombies?" look. I'm quick to point out that It can't possibly be any worse than the opera adaptation of An Inconvenient Truth (an opera about a PowerPoint presentation? Really?) Besides, how often can you say you've been to a musical and left covered in fake blood (I assume it's fake). It's like Shakespeare meets Gwar, how can this possibly suck?

The Ottawa contingent of the crew stayed at the Holiday Inn on King street, only two blocks away from the playhouse. Upon arriving, we shared the elevator with some nice ladies who were in town to see the Dirty Dancing musical at the Princess, and they asked us if we were there for the same reason. Based on my general appearance, I found this question somewhat odd. The look on their face was priceless once we told them we were going to see Evil Dead, and it led me to the conclusion that we probably wouldn't to be going down with them (in the elevator you perverts).

Can you find the snowboarders?
The East Coast Crew waiting to get Evil

After scattering to track down food and beer for later, it was time to meet up with the rest of the crew. Since we were all coming from different directions, and not everyone had actually met in person prior to this meet, the logistics of meeting up were a slight bit difficult. In fact, one of my road trip companions, Chris, called my cell to tell me he was going to meet one of the other members of the crew, also named Chris, whom he had never met previously. I said "you don't know what he looks like, how are you going to spot him on a downtown Toronto street?" His response: "He's a snowboarder." That's when it occurred to me that we snowboarders do live at a different pace than most people (skiers too). Especially in a metropolitan area such as Toronto where people seem to be in much more of a hurry and much more concerned about their image than in most places. I actually had faith, due in no small part to Chris' response, that my shred pals would have no problems finding each other. I was not mistaken, I caught up with the rest of the group in front of the hotel and we made our way to the playhouse.

The musical itself was extremely entertaining. Since it's based on the Evil Dead series of movies (Evil Dead , Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness), we were expecting a certain amount of camp, and this stage show was certainly full of it. It was done in the perfect self-effacing way which rendered it amusing rather than annoying. The actors even joked about how Spider-Man 3 was a horrible movie (Sam Raimi directed the Evil Dead movie). The highlight of the musical was the final battle at where Ash slayed all the zombies (sorry for the spoiler). I have never seen so much fake blood used in my life. It was squirting out of the walls all over the crowd. Fun times.

After the show, stoked on being evil, the crew got up to some pre-drinking at the hotel in preparation for painting the town red (with blood?). After getting nicely warmed up, we were off to find establishments to consume refreshments. Yet somehow this feat could not be managed without a tree being transplanted into the hallway to our hotel. Apparently alcohol turns people into landscapers.

After walking around for a while and ducking into a number of pubs for refreshments, along with some other random shenanigans, it was time to call it a night since the bars were closing. On the way back to the hotel, I received a text message from Chris saying that apparently someone was shot behind the princess theatre. They were cleaning up the scene as he was walking to meet his ride to Whitby. All this time, I was expecting that our musical would prove more violent than Dirty Dancing, which our lovely friends from the elevator were attending. Clearly I was mistaken on that count.

Check out my crazy hair.
Puppet Jesus sitting at the top of the Big Apple in Colborne.

The following morning, we decided to locate a Golden Griddle we had seen the night before to have breakfast before we left. After fueling up on the all you can eat buffet and omelet bar, it was time to hit the road. On the way home, we decided to stop at the Big Apple in Colborne to buy some pies. This is where our trip took on a whole new dimension of cool when picked up an itinerant puppet with long hair, a beard, and some crazy ideas. That puppet turned out to be Jesus (or at least a very striking likeness thereof). The irony in all this is that we found him at a Big Apple which, if memory serves, is the forbidden fruit of the Genesis. Jesus was quick to participate in our road games of "hot or not" and was surprisingly good at it. Although I suppose I shouldn't be surprised since he is the son of god. In any case, Jesus is dope and he's certainly a good road trip companion, a fan of metal and a darn good dancer. When we first picked him up, he was rather subdued. Nathan even thought he was dead but we knew not to worry, "he'll be full of life in three days." It certainly didn't take three days, especially after a can of Saskatoon Beaver Buzz.

The Beaver Buzz turned out to be a bit of a mistake. Although tasty, it must contain some kind of super diaretic because it made me have to pull off the highway to pee. I was going to wait for the gas station restrooms until Jesus pointed out that the world is my gas station rest room. He's so wise. We finally made it home satisfied with our road trip shenanigans and happy for having found Jesus.

In sticking with my usual modus operandi of never walking away from an experience without learning something, here's what I learned this past weekend:

  • Snowboarders are recognisable everywhere. They seem to have a different gate about them.
  • Apparently the Dirty Dancing musical, counter to conventional wisdom, was much more violent that the Evil Dead musical... go figure.
  • Jesus Saves... road trips. Although ours didn't need saving by any stretch. He sure made it more interesting. Keep your eye open for him, you never know where you might find Jesus.

Phew! Those are important life lessons indeed. Now I'm looking forward to my next live theatre excursion. Rumour has it that Monty Python's Spamalot is coming to Toronto in the fall, maybe I'll check that out. I'll be staying away from the Dirty Dancing musical though, that's much do violent for my sensibilities. In the meantime, I'm rejoicing in the fact that there's less than six months until winter and you can bet that I'm counting down the days.

for you out there fortunate enuff to be one of my sb.com pals, and thus pestered by announcements of new stuff on my prof, here is something neither inane nor tedious (for once)...

in the name of progressing the sideways slide we all love so much, by maintaining competition amoungst the elite, but ignoring the stale  comp formats we all know, by exploiting this computer technological age in which we live......

Jib Jam-boree a hit!

The inaugural JumpCamp Jib Jam-boree rocked! Competitors came from far and wide with one thing in mind; JumpCamp Glory! We're talkin' spin-in, spin-out tricks on our brand new ledge ( thanks for the ledge Jim! ), frontside to backside slides on the rainbow rail and some crazy buttering of the muffin on the JumpCamp roof step-up, built especially for the comp. Other highlights include eating burgers and hot dogs in the rain. Thanks to all the sponsors and shreds for coming out! We're going to have another contest before the end of the season so check the website for dates.

Coach Matt Brown considers shaving his long locks after seeing Britney Spears' new do. "I think I'd look good with a buzz-cut", Brown said before press time.

Road trips!
We're been on a few road trips lately. At JumpCamp we really love holiday road.
We headed off to Las Vegas to hob-nob with the snowboard industry a little while ago. We rode around in limos, gambled and ate buffets daily.
Coach Javan Wyker, that lucky ass, is off to Revelstoke to test out all the new '08 Ski-Doo sleds. Hope he gets stuck lots! Haha...

Another beauty, was a road trip we did to see some pals in Nelson. It was -18, sunny and the powder was awesome! Our main man Marlin showed us around and shot pictures. Thanks Marl! Check out Gnarly Marly's website at www.marlinolynyk.com

Nathaniel Vossen's long awaited movie "This Was Your Life" is finally done.
No, for real, I'm not kidding this time 'round! You gotta believe me... C'mon dude, I'm serious. Nathaniel's been in production of this skateboard/snowboard/lifestyle movie for 12 years so you know the finished product is going to be amazing. He's told me that April is when he's going to be having all the premier parties for it around the Island and the Lower Mainland. Keep posted for premier dates, you don't wanna miss this!

Our bros at Onethirtythree have got a new website up! You can check out their team,skate/snowboard pics, spots, vids and sales going on at the shop. Pretty cool. Check it out at www.onethirtythree.com

CONCRETE - THE SKATE PARK ISSUE March 2007

Remember the mag Concrete Powder? Well, now it's just Concrete 'cause it's all skateboarding, no shred-doggin'. Anyways, the new Concrete No Powder has a killer article about Courtenay and some rad pics in the skateparks around here. Our good buddy Sascha Daley has a bunch of wicked pics in there including a sick one of him kickflipping in the corner of Courtenay's indoor bowl at The Linc and one of him ollieing off a wharf into the water in Tofino. Brrrrr, shrinky, shrinky! My favourite one is of some little kid in the old Courtenay park going huge over one of the hips and there's some good ones in the new park such as a sequence of local home-dog Calen Drysdale. Nice one boys. Go grab it on newstands or at your local skate shop yo!

SBC Skier Magazine: The North Issue, Volume 6 Issue 4
The new SBC Skier is out and there's a great article about Vancouver Island in it. Local two-planker legends Al Hokanson and Yasha Berg grace the pages of the magazine shralping such Island destinations as Mount Cain and Forbidden Plateau.

I thought you should know that...

JumpCamps are starting this weekend!

Session #1 Feb. 24-25 ( full )

Session #2 March 3-4
Session #3 March 17-18
Session #4 March 21-22

Hey all!!

Official news from the US Grand Prix- yes it is a Neptune course, aka super gnarly, however, not impossible.  This of course is good comment from a girl who less than three weeks ago wouldn't start an easy course.  The start here is a pull off a sticky plastic mat to board length flat deck to drop in to a perfect 90 degree pipe style drop in (when you are dropping in it actually looks like you are going in, rather than down, like under the start if you know what i mean).  You drop about 20 feet then hang on up another wall just like being in a pipe over a wutang then into 5 rollers, left berm step down gap to right berm into two massive step ups, and that is the first 1/6th of the course.

Parts of it (like the start) are really fun but I am evaluating whether or not it is worth risking injury and messing up Nationals at home just to post a shi*tty time,  They are going to make a few changes for tomorrow so I will see then.  None of the girls rode anything close to full speed today, including the likes of Maelle Ricker and Lindesy Jacobellis so I may just give it a shot and see what happens.

We are going to do some video reveiw now and I have decided to stay at least tonight if not straight through with the BC crew because I love it here with them.  It is very happy and loving and feels as much like a fun vacation as a hard core comp.  And it is very hard core.  But I am still having an amazing time and again, love to te BC crew and my great roomate Robyn (Ontario team) for making me feel loved and welcome.  You guys are the best-OH!

To my pals at home, looks cold, pray for snow and if anyone can ride a half day with me on Tuesday I love you long time.  And a full day on Wednesday or Thursday.  Friday it's back on the road for provincials at Big White then home through to Nationals third week March.

Lots of love
SAM

so basically we all thought since last year sucked out with almost no snow fall, that this year would be shi*t too. WELL... this week we received soo much fresh pow,  without question i was at crabbe, that day alone made buying a seasons pass worth the money... the condidtions were amazing and there was no where else i would have rather been. the trails weren't groomed and no one had been on most of the trails which made it soo sick to be riding with a few pals and making fresh paths, such a great feeling!! but it seems like everyone in the snowboarding scene around freddy is moving away to whistler ... even if the conditions each winter are not promised to be amazing, the crew around here is amazing, always friendly and willing to help you out. I'm actualy quite scared of how many people will be moved away by next winter and if there will even still be a crew to go to crabbe with every weekend. I guess I'll will just have to enjoy this year and see how next year turns out...

My Blog: Finally
By: paolosmythe

so here we are.... the waiting that first began back in September last year is almost over.  By tomorrow's end, i will be in the Canadian mountains again.

Kinda funny, but despite my travels to Whistler, Fernie and several Frenchie places, i haven't enjoyed a powder day since Cervinia about 3 years ago.

What is even weirder is that winter has finally arrived in the UK with a distinct chill in the air this week and snow all over the place this morning!!!  It is as if either my anticipation of BW champagne powder is to be diluted, or perhaps it is just a tangible teaser of good times to come.

Either way, a break from trolling around on here, in exchange for sliding around out there is most welcome.

And of course i remain hopeful that those of you who are my 'online pals' enuff to read this drivel, might just scrape together enuff loonies / bucks to come say hello, compare accents and even knock the froth off a couple.

If you find yourself in the area, go to The Inn in BW and ask for Paolo.  You would make a limey even happier!!

Until Feb 12th.......

may all your turns be fizzing!

Wow, what a way to begin the New Year.  Now, everyone here in the North East has been complaining about the detestable conditions we've had to endure for the 2006/07 season.... and rightfully so.  Here we are, January 1st and half the mountains aren't even open.  The few that dare to crank up their lifts struggle to keep a palsy five or six decent runs open.  In the mists on all this chaos and despair, I've found a gem of a day.  It started with heavy down pours, the likes of which would scare your average skier and maybe even a few boarders into hiding under the covers and calling it a day.  However, one dedicated friend (a skier no less) and I soldiered on, making the two and a half hour trek up to Belleayre.  Our determination would not go unrewarded.  Although one would expect the monsoon-like weather would wipe clean any trace of winter, the mountain actually received very little rain fall.  If fact, it had just enough rain to soften the hard pack and frozen granular into the consistency of wet powder.  O happy day.  Every trail was perfect-- holding my edge through every turn as I charge, full blast, down the mountain.... And with a variety of terrain, starting with two Double Diamonds, three Diamonds, six Blues and one Green, we had plenty to play with. Oh and the rain had one other benefit. It kept a lot of people off the mountain so we practically had everything to ourselves…. Although, that could have been the result of the heavy drinking everyone would have done the night before. It is New Years Day after all…

It’s already a week since I moved to Madrid. I can’t believe it!! It seems it was yesterday that I was carrying all my stuff in big cartons… I didn’t imagine my first few days were going to be as they’ve been, but that’s something good, I’m really happy here. You know, I really needed a change on my life, I was fed up about talking about the same bullshi*t time and again with people I didn’t mind, going to the same dull parties where I didn’t fix at all, studying subjects I found pretty boring… Meeting all these new people, the city and studying subjects I should enjoy (3hours of maths a day is too much even for me!!), has brought me back to life.

At the hall of residence there’re around 100 students currently living, though next week other 180 more are coming. We’re basically cub students on entering courses and a few other students on their September exams… The place is fantastic: there’re no rules at all (well, there ARE some, but the residents decide which they are) and we are absolutely free to do anything we want (even booze and get wasted inside the building), so if anyone has some free days and want to visit me, you can sleep at my room, be off the hook!!

Guys here are extremely outgoing, so I got to know most of the cubs in just a couple of days. However, I have little problems to remember names, birthplaces and degree they’re about to study. Luckily we have gathered together in a huge group, so we spend the whole day together, just chilling or having fun out at night.

You know I promised myself I wouldn’t go out at night much, cos if I wanna go riding during the winter to my home resort, so I will have to do a great job from now on. I mean, if I go riding a weekend to Cauterets, that means three days in which I won’t be studying, so I should have done all that work during the week. Well pals, it’s high time I confessed I broke my word on the second night I was here: I did go partying Tuesday night and so I did on Wednesday night. On Thursday we spent half of the night playing poker and the other half on a bee sitting at the lobby. On Friday we got drunk before going out, but the party turned out to be dull so I went to bed pretty early. And yesterday… We went out to the city centre since there’re were some cultural performances and shows at the theatres, but we eventually got lost and we found ourselves surrounded by 4000 people and 200 buses (our bus was among them, but as we didn’t know which one it was, we had to look for it one bye one…). In the end, we arrived home at 5am extremely exhausted.

The uni is also great. Before I had thought that the other student were going to be some kind of super intelligent freaky students, but surprisingly they’re perfectly normal. They wanna have fun and love partying as well, which is sooooo good!!!! We spend (literally) half of the lesson laughing and joking. The boys behind me are such a great laugh… Among girls is slightly different. Some of them (the ones I hang around with) are nice girls, not as much party-lovers as me, but amusing girls. But the others are rather posh, those who have to wake up an hour earlier than usual to make up and “get on” their high heels. Come on!! It’s uni, not Cibeles catwalk.

About subjects there’s not much to say. I’m currently doing an entering course to see what level is required in maths, so I have 3.5 hours maths a day. It shouldn’t be hard, cos we are supposed to know everything we’re working on right know, but it actually is. Some days I arrived at the hall of residence so frustrated that I don’t feel like beginning even the first course. But it’s all right. I know from now on I’ll have to study about 4h a day on my own and the worst thing is that, all this effort may not be enough to pass all the subjects!! It is said that naval engineering is one of the hardest degrees of all… I bet it is, cos yesterday I was told that 90% of the students give up… Hope I’m not one of them, please encourage me to keep struggling with maths.

I’ll let you know about coming crazy parties and 100% yaiza-made silly stuff

PS: I´m really tempted with so many hot guys in class and at the hall…

Ok, so I was in the pub last week having a few beers with some pals and we started talking about endurance races, iron man competitions and triathlons etc and how hardcore fit (and crazy) you need to be to be able to do them...
Things then got a little more interesting when stupidly I agreed to a bet from the group that I couldn't run the Marathon des Sables in Morocco in 2008...

Being the drunken but avid competitor that I am, spilling pint in one hand, cig in the other - I graciously accepted the challenge, shook hands with everyone, picked up the gauntlet and have spent the last week pondering quite how stupid I can be when I've got a few units inside me...

However, that said - I do like a good challenge and this seems like as good a chance as any to prove myself as a proper psycho!

In case you were wondering what the 'Marathon des Sables' actually is, it's a 150mile run across the searing heat of the Moroccan sahara desert to be completed in 5 stages over 6 days. For a little more info on this event billed as "The toughest footrace on earth" go to this link:

http://www.saharamarathon.co.uk/

If anyone feels like they'd like to join me on this foolish feat of utter ludicrousness - drop me a line.
If anyone would like to voice their support for such an act - after all it is for charity - drop me a line.
If anyone would like to hurl abuse at me for even thinking about it - drop me a line.
I haven't decided which charity I'm representing yet so if you have any ideas... yeh you know what to do!

I'd best get training then!

My Blog: Japan to Alaska
By: ickie

Last night I got a call from my fella.  He has been in Japan the last four months flying around shooting things up in his jet and having a jolly old time.  Before I get any further into this story I should give a little background.  We have been dating for about 2 and half years.  We don't live together and he is so not anyone that I ever thought I would be dating and the feeling is mutual (believe me, I never would have guessed that hairy and bald, rather an oxymoron, would do it for me).  Recently, due to the fact that I am finishing grad school, I asked him if I would be searching for a new job here in San Diego, or all over the world (meaning:  can you commit or am I going to have to leave your ass).  That little inquiry went exactly as I expected (sorry to all of my gal pals, I was right, you were wrong) and he said that "NO" he could not give me a commitment of any sort.  Down came the fabulous fairy tale that I had created sad but nothing a good vintage couldn't improve.
Well, I recently told him, that if I didn't dump him and leave San Diego that I thought it would be nice if we lived together.  He seemed to think that this was a reasonable request (much to my surprise, so much for that attempt to make him the bad guy) and that was the end of the conversation.
Last night he called before he had a 9 hour flight to Japan, now don't go thinking this is commercial jet flying.  This is military F-18 flying, refueling in mid-air multiple times, while flying with wings almost touching and blowing things up, jet flying.  Well, quite understandably I think, I get a wee bit apprehensive before he goes on one of those long flights.  Why can't I date a plumber?
Well, back to the beginning, last night he calls before he has this 9 hour long flight from Japan to Alaska, and he starts in on me about my cat Stinker, or as he calls him shi*tty.  He hates Stinker b/c Stinker bites his toes while he is sleeping (Stinker does have a bit of a foot fetish and seems to prefer stinky guy feet).  Being all bitchy and saying that he doesn't want to be looking for apartments for himself the first week he is back b/c of Stinker, blah blah blah.  Well, here I am thinking, you won't have been around for six months by the time that you return and you are obsessing about whether or not the kitten is going to bite your toes?  Shouldn't you be thinking about sex, or something more interesting?  He doesn't have to stay here, I just offered b/c I thought it might be more comfy than barracks sleeping.  Maybe I am somewhat PMSy but I was a bit put out by the whole cat thing.  I am beginning to think that perhaps I should cut my losses and find a job somewhere where I can have a horse again, and I don't have to listen to my a**hole neighbor rev the engine on his harley for an hour and half a day while he floods my apartment with exhaust fumes or deal with having my heart broken by a commitment phobe.  I hate city living, but if I lived in the country, would I hate country living?

So it's Memorial Day Weekend, and we are enjoying the Second Annual "Stowe Dig Out" after their annual Rail Jam right this weekend. So much fun, chillin' in 80 degree weather with the pals, with shreddin' to be had! See, we live in Vermont, and this isn't normal for us, unlike some of you West Coasters. It's an earned privilege, and we take it as such.

The boys dug out a couple of the boxes (I've got to admit, I'm of no use here....munchkin arms and legs are good for stomping the runways and landings down, but that's about it), and we all worked on our tans. Didn't really take today too heavy duty. I really want to nail some good stuff tomorrow, and leave the dreaded girly 5050-land that I currently live in! Mostly, I goofed off with team rider Mary Walsh today, attempting dangerously sexy photoshoots (HA!), set-up box trick photos, and walking around with our pants down (hate to disappoint...baller shorts underneath!)

I love this kind of snowboarding. One, the kind where other people do the work for you, yes. But mostly, where you have the whole hill to yourself and your crew, you can stay as long as you like, it's sunny weather, and you just progress by default. Plus, with my birthday always falling close to Memorial Day, it's becoming an early birthday treat!

I'll try to post some pictures soon. Take care, and if you're still shredding, let us know!

Last night up Bromley was wicked. There was a bit of a thunderstorm on my way to the slope which instantly stopped the moment I strapped on my board. Slope was running super slick and almost responsive. Managed to land those switch backside 180s off the big jump which made my night. Even better, was the fact that one hand Dave got some of them on film for me! Got to get a new DV Cam though, my one has almost had it. We had the 20ft box out and I had a good session on that with Karl and Jay. My first shot at it was well hairy and I nailed my tail bone really badly. Anytime I butt checked after that I was in serious pain. Despite this, still went for some frontboards and managed it 2 out of 5 goes. More good news, got my front 3s back. Surprised I can still walk today despite everything, but the landings for my spins seem a lot more forgiving than the staight airs I'd been doing last week. Hitting up Chatham on Thursday night and hopefully Bracknell on Bank Holiday Monday with Angela, Takion, Janine, Fifty and maybe Karl. Some bad news, one of Ben's pals came off the box wrong while 50-50ing and broke both his wrists! Yikes!

It happens to other people.
You say how sad.
You say poor thing.

But when its you its something else.
It's everything.

You'll never believe the nightmares.
You'll never know the pain you caused.
You'll never see the scars you left.
The things you stole, everthing i lost.

You took my body tore it in half.
You took my child took my heart and my laugh.
You took everything i kept for myself.
Then your gone.
I'm not your poor thing.

You took my body tore it in half.
You took my child.
Took my heart and my laugh.
You took everything i kept for myself.
Then your gone.
I'm not your poor thing.

I don't know if you'll forgive me For being so blind To how you felt Don't ask me why I couldn't see it That might take me years to figure out And that's not something I know much about But there's only one way to find out Yeah, yeah, yeah What I know is that I've hurt you, oh What I know is that I suck And what I know is that I'm sorry What I know is that I'm a loser, yeah What I know is I screwed up And then I never earned your trust And what I know is that everything I touch just turns to
DUST

You dont do anything thing right. You're only a tag along. People only like you because of so called pals. Why cant people like you for who you are? Not for some one else. Can you at least try to like me? Is that to hard? Do I have to do all the so called cool things you do - to fit in? Can't i just be my self? I feel like I should just move far away....where I can start over. I like hangin out with you guys but you don't like me. I hurt inside. I want to shed tears saying one million words. You're totally broken inside, feeling not one way to turn I'm not like other people can you accept that or not? or do I just have to be the third wheel? Tagging along holding onto someones belt loop...not what you want to do. You want to be out doing things your self too. I seem to fail every thing I do. Why? I try so hard to follow but I just fall back into my deep whole I can't stay out of What is wrong with me I'm not as smart as you -- you make fun You use me like i'm the mud you step in on a rainy day. Do I really deserve this? Please tell me yes or no? Every time my self confidence is high you put it down.? why is that? am i to good for you or sumthing stupid like that? are you scared of me..?!?! You are the ones that need to get a life....not me!

I watch you leave
I watch gather your things
Fears with greed
Magnetic dreams

I'm not asking to be low low low
You don't see what I see, what I see
listen to my echo (echo)
And turn around for me for me

And I know it's ok
I'm standing right where you are
You own my crying shoulder
I'm not going far
And I know it's ok
I'm standing right where you are
You own my crying shoulder
I'll send you pieces of my heart

It's a wide world out there
Dont be too narrow and dont be square
Show me how you do it
like you do it around here

Something about the way you shine
When the lights go out
I wanna make you mine
Something about the way it seems
You are always here, in my dreams
And when there's no one there
No I'm not scared
But I'm in love
With you

Don't hold your head too high,
Take it off the ground.
But then come back again...
You gotta look into the sky,
When will you be found?
But then come back again...

Be a magnet in diguise.
Steal those greedy eyes.
All the lows and all the highs,
We all come back again.

Tryin' to hear me,
Everyone knows that you love me.
If we argue,
We're going back to the same place we started.
Tryin' to hear me,
Everyone knows that you love me.
If we argue,
We're going back to the same place we started.
And then come back again...

If you run before you crawl,
You'll miss the time to grow.
But then come back again...
The systems we install
You'll just never know.
But then come back again...

Be a magnet in diguise.
Steal those greedy eyes.
All the lows and all the highs,
Oh, we all come back again.

Tryin' to hear me,
Everyone knows that you love me.
If we argue,
We're going back to the same place we started.
Tryin' to hear me,
Everyone knows that you love me.
If we argue,
We're going back to the same place we started.
And then come back again...

Everytime I cry,
I try to change myself.
Everytime I cry,
I cry...

Be a magnet in diguise.
Steal those greedy eyes.
All the lows and all the highs,
We all come back again.

Tryin' to hear me,
Everyone knows that you love me.
If we argue,
We're going back to the same place we started.
Tryin' to hear me,
Everyone knows that you love me.
If we argue,
We're going back to the same place we started.
And then come back again.
