JumpCamp delivers the latest breaking news and information on the top stories.

Brand new photos from this year's camps up on the photos page of the website. Where else eh?

Mt.Washed has closed for the season even though there's still 400cms of snow up there so we've taken to the sleds lots more lately.

Triggydog scopes out the lines as ol' man Dan makes his way back to the sled.

Nial and Ole, a couple of colourful sled bros.

The weather's been amazing here on the Island, we rode deep powder twice this last week! We also found ourselves a nice road gap on our travels in the backcountry.

Kitto launchin' over Rocky; Trigg's faithful backcountry furball.

Ole sold his sled so who knows what he'll bring to tow people around for the last camp. Maybe a tractor? You never know.

Bonus Camp April 19, 20! With all the snow we had to throw one more session. Register at Onethirtythree board shop in Courtenay (250) 897-1907, online or call anytime to secure your spot and get your last shred in for the season.

Pick a camp, any camp... No wait, there's only one left! Bye bye.

We did a little interview about this cool skate design website called popdeck.com and we are giving away one board to one lucky gnarcore user.

See gnarcore.com   for full story and details.

Skateboarding, art and the web, Parker Newman from Popdeck.com talks about his recently launched skateboard design community.

What is Popdeck all about?

Popdeck is essentially a skateboard design competition.  Started out as a passion between our love for design/art and skateboarding.  We have always collected cool decks as art after we skated them up, and this was just the natural progression...........

My Journal: 14/12/2003
By: Electric97

Hello, todays journal entry is all about the sport.

Does any one else get a little bit bitter that snowboarding is so mainstreem now? i know i do at times, even though i know i shouldn't certan people who lie about their skills and or how long they have been rideing, really really bothers me. these are the type of people who genraly make me want to not ride as much... like lets take "Ben" for instance. this is a kid a year below me. he really thinks that hes the sh*t at snowboarding. but when i watch him ride its pathetic. the othor day he was telling me how it takes skill to ride down the moutian fast carveing. well dumb f*ck if you dont edge at all, then how the f*ck are you going to not eat sh*t... unless you were rideing in some very deep powder. than and i kinda hate how all the preppy kids wear fourm and think that they are so cool. "ben" also thinks that the best board for any one is his board. he also thinks that weight (a very insignificant amount) is going to make a difference. "ben" also thinks that he is one of the best park riders at our school, he claims that he rides in comps, (one of the ones he bragged about was a rail comp) yet he wouldnt hit this tiny rail in the park... he cant even f*cking go off a jump. yet he claims to being able to do 720's... last year when i clalled him out on this he admitted that he couldnt even do a 360. its people like "Ben" that push me away from this sport. i didnt start snowboarding to be cool. i acctally was made fun of by my peers when i started rideing.

Snowboarding in genral makes me happy and i refuse to let a few retarted people take that away from me. this entry is just me mainly bitching about posers and people that think there is one board for every one...
