Whistler Blackcomb's annual Showcase Showdown went off last Saturday as onlookers crowded into Skiers' Plaza and onto patios to watch the action at the base of Whistler Mountain. After a hard fought battle, Caley Vanular claimed first place in the women's category. Second place went to Molly Milligan and third went to Janelle Prtichard. Meanwhile, Andrew Burns took first in the men's category, while Rusty Ockeneden claimed second place and Mike Osachuk took third.

The six riders, who won a total of $5,000 cash and prizes from event sponsors, including Nixon headphones and Sandbox helmets, will also be featured in Sandbox's next snowboard film "Shine On."

In its twelfth year, the Showcase Showdown has enjoyed another successful transformation and has proven once again why Whistler Blackcomb's Nintendo Terrain Parks are ranked No. 1 in North America.

This year's course was inspired by the mini-parks in locals' backyards all over Whistler. The slopestyle course design, which included rails and industrial-style jib features with happy faces, was a collaboration of Showcase Team Manager Brad Broughton; Kevin Sansalone of Sandbox Films; Steve Petrie master park-builder and designer and builder of the 2010 Olympic Halfpipe; and Whistler Blackcomb's Park Rangers.

After a week of consistent snow, the riding here in Whistler is back in business! We're into our 5th week of camp and the second group of long term campers are packing their bags and preparing to hit town as we speak.

Christmas in the camp houses was celebrated in true Whistler style with wine and cheese, pressies, partying in town and of course, Christmas day spent riding on the mountain... how else would you rather spend your holidays?!

We're super stoked that we've been able to take our groups to secret powder stashes on the mountain without getting stuck in long holiday lift lines. Also, now that the upper alpine lifts are staring to open, we're looking forward to some steep pow runs in the bowls and maybe a hike or two for some of the best untracked powder on the mountain. It's that kind of inside local knowledge that means we can ride harder, faster and in deeper pow that anyone else hahaha!

The terrain parks are already starting to look good. The Nintendo Park on Blackcomb has a number of hip, box and rail features and a couple of jumps. As more snow falls we'll begin to see the Terrain Garden (beginner's park) and Higher Level (XL) parks take shape. We're also looking forward to seeing the double rainbow stall feature and dancefloor jibs they're building in the Whistler park using the cable reels from the construction of new Peak to Peak gondola.

It even looks like there's almost enough snow for our first backcountry jump day to be held in a secret location yet to be revealed... can't wait!

Happy New Year form the team at Proride. Hope your new year sounds as exciting as ours!

The level of skill being displayed in all of the Whistler Blackcomb Parks is astonishing these days. The progression we are seeing in athletes is at light speed and tricks formerly reserved for the rare mutants are now being thrown with ease by local kids skipping school to ski and ride. (Don’t skip school!) This week I witnessed 16-year-olds throwing double back flips, 19-year-olds spinning corked 10s and a 4-year-old slide a four foot round bar. This progression has pushed the Park crew to step up and create the best possible playground for these athletes and then work backwards to ensure we have a smooth progression. The bar is being set high for the next generation and we are doing our best to evolve at the same rate.

The Parks all got new set-ups this week, some even seeing changes daily. On Whistler Mountain we changed up the top section to include a new barrel bonk in addition to the stump jibs as well as freshening up Bobcat with a never-been-tired-before combo box with a quad kink. There are also new jump styles on Chipmunk and two “Skate Style” spines with log and metal coping for every transfer trick imaginable.

The Choker Park saw the addition of the Quicksilver and Nintendo boxes set up in series as mellow up-boxes as well as the addition of a mini shack booter style step over jump. The Superpipe rebuild has resulted in the best pipe I have ridden in a long time and special props go out to Andy Morrison for his epic 17 hour shift grooming the pipe se we can all rip it this week!

The Terrain Garden continues to be one of the busiest parks with hordes of newbie riders getting their legs on the small jumps, mini spine, boxes and rails offered up in this line. We are hoping to add a few more basic flat boxes to the mix so trick development can progress here too.

The HL Park has basically been split into Lucas Land’s rail line for metal grinders and the main park for jumpers. The left line continues to be the BIG XL line while the right side offers up the L / XL multi-takeoff options.

If you have not been up in the parks yet this year, you are missing out! Don’t wait to see it in next year’s vids, come on up today.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE KIDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE

1920's, 30's 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's !!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us and lived in houses made of asbestos.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes or cervical cancer.

Then after that trauma, our baby cribs were covered with bright colored lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets or shoes, not to mention, the risks some of us took hitchhiking.

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.

Riding in the back of a pickup truck on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.

Take away food was limited to fish and chips, no pizza shops, McDonalds, KFC, Subway or Red Rooster.

Even though all the shops closed at 6.00pm and didn't open on the weekends, somehow we didn't starve to death!

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.

We could collect old drink bottles and cash them in at the corner store and buy Fruit Tingles and some fire crackers to blow up frogs and lizards with.

We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank soft drinks with sugar in it, but we weren't overweight because......

WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. We built tree houses and cubby houses and played in creek beds with matchbox cars.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, Xboxes, no video games at all, no 99 channels on cable, no video tape or DVD movies, no surround sound, no mobile  phones, no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat rooms..........WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no Lawsuits from these accidents.

Only girls had pierced ears!

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.

You could only buy Easter Eggs and Hot Cross buns at Easter time.......no really!

We were given BB guns and sling shots for our 10th birthdays,

We drank milk laced with Strontium 90 from cows that had eaten grass covered in nuclear fallout from the atomic testing at Maralinga in 1956.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just yelled for them!

Mum didn't have to go to work to help dad make ends meet!

Footy had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!

Our teachers used to belt us with big sticks and leather straps and bully's always ruled the playground at school.

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

Our parents got married before they had children and didn't invent stupid names for their kids like "Kiora" and "Blade".....

This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever!

The past 70 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned

HOW TO

DEAL WITH IT ALL!

And YOU are one of them!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it?!

So last day of whis shredding was today.  Super fun day, was riding by 10 (ish) and rode til like 4:30.  Super fun day, tables were nice and soft but still there was nuff speed needed to clear em.  Got some filming done in the worst possible weather for filming (blowing snow).

I just realised I forgot to hit the nintendo rainbow wallride:(!  I was SO stoked to hit it but there was a jump line instead or a rail line....  Can't wait to go back there though.  Maybe some glacier riding next time!  Still, a new video will be posted soon.

And for all the Mac viewers who couldn't watch my videos and only got code I'm switching the vids so you can actually play them.

My Blog: Just typing
By: iskatetoo

had about a week with no riding.

the weather has changed for the worst. we started out with mad snow and it looked like we were going to have great season but, mother nature seems to have abandoned us. we haven't gotten any new snow to speak of in about a month and the spring came in mid January. we thought we were getting that one week of nice sunshine and warm temps, then it turned to a month and a half of it. it seems that we a re cutting into that 110 inch base that we had and it is only February. at this rate i don't know how we are going to make it to July, (oh poor us we may only have to ride till June). it seems the comp season that should be in full swing is almost stagnant, no one wants to ride slushy pipe with crumbling walls or 60 footers with sloppy lips and rutted landings.

good news! i am moving to Peru for a few weeks then to Argentina in the summer (it's great to have a wife from south America) so i get to ride all year long. come back here for next season all ready to hit the comp season with no down-time to cool off.

this is my blog so i do have the right to rant now and then and now is one of those times.

this is about corporate America. to be specific, advertising. have you ever just been watching the tube when a commercial comes on with music in the background of a  band that a bunch of money grubbing, exploiting, sons of bitches should never even know about?the latest exploitation in this long list is "THE KING", yes boys and girls BURGER KING.
now before i go on i want to let all you kiddos know that i am not talking out my ass. i myself for a short time was a member of the corporate rat race. class of 1997 Penn state masters in business administration focusing in advertising, (my head is hung in shame). if you watch the tube at all you know about "THE KINGS" latest marketing campaign. using the retro big headed king suit from the 70's to try to get the baby boomer peoples coming back to "THE KING". they give out the vid games with the big head king to the gen"Y"  kiddos to get them to come in. now, now, those f*cking chicken hawks have gone after the gen"x"ers (thats my generation). paying off, (or even buying the rights from the record label I'm not sure) the "Violent Femmes". now it might now be seen as a big deal to a lot of people, but you have to realize when this song was written (1988) it wasn't even allowed to be played on college radio stations because of other songs on the album. do you  see the irony in this? but wait, lets take a look back at what has been done in the  past few years to make you dislike songs and bands that are great or even good just because it has gone main stream. 2002 Garnier using the Transplants, 1999 Nintendo using the butt hole surfers, 1997 Nintendo using the dead milkmen, 2000 - today Sony using anything off any tony hawk poop skaters video game. my point is this. if a company or business needs to use song and dance to make peoople come to their stores and or restaurants then their products probably arent good. so by buying into their sterotyping and image that if you buy their products or eat thier food you will be cool and unique you are actually falling into croud of the lemmings headed for the cliff. do youself and our nation a favor, STOP BUYING INTO CORPORATE RULE. THINK FOR YOURSELFS AND DICTATE THAT YOU DECIDE WHAT YOU BUY, AND NO AMOUNT OF DECEIPT AND LIES IS GOING TO DECIDE WHERE YOU SPEND YOU MONEY.

kids get off you fat asses and learn to skate don't play it. do you understand that when you play skating you make it football. i helped make skating what it is today by buying boards, braking bones, and sitting in my driveway practicing tricks for hours on end, even a amature sponsorship for a few years. by turning it into a sport you are killing what we all did. oh well we're killing the earth so you will have no place to breath, paybacks a bitch.

I'm back from Whistler/Blackcomb after a pretty exhausting weekend.  Tori and I Left Penticton 4:30 Thursday after work and booked it over the coquihala, through vancouver, and up the sea to sky finally getting into Whistler around midnight.  It wasn't a bad drive but it took a while.

Woke up semi-early Saturday to go shredding on Blackcomb. It was a beautiful bluebird day with snow that was icy as hell.  I was pretty disappointed to discover that the best free riding was a no-go.  Got to see a lot of the groomers and cat tracks riding pretty much every chair on the hill.  We didn't bother going into the park at all but saw some of the action in the Nintendo park while riding one of the chairs.  Waiter, I'll have another serving of that tasty humble pie you're serving.  The other thing I noticed was that going 6 wide on a skinny cat track is no big deal down there.  Crowded runs like that are kind of f*cked.  Oh, and Tori got big time leg cramps at the top of seventh heaven right at the end of the day.  Worst last run ever!

We had a way better day Saturday over on Whistler.  It started snowing mid-morning right when we got to the top of the Peak chair.  Did some of the longest runs I've ever done that day.  We did the math afterwards and in total we rode about 18,000 vertical in a total of 5 runs.  Watching Wayne getting gripped on the Peak chair was the moment of the day.  I don't know if I've been on a chair like that before.  After shredding we got our drink on, watched the game, played some poker, and eventually went to Buffalo Bill's to blur the night away.  Tori won the award for best lesson when she took ulcer medication between paralysers.  What a dumb ass.

Woke up in my top bunk (I love top bunk) on Sunday morning to the news that there was a landslide on the sea to sky just north of Horseshoe Bay.  Sounded like things weren't going anywhere that way so we decided to drive through the Pemberton way.  I've heard the horror stories and lucky for me, they weren't quite that bad.  No bear maulings or militant protestors or anything like that, just a windy road covered in ice rain and littered with pot holes.  40km/hour for 3 hours = white knuckles on the steering wheel.  The drive from Kamloops to Vernon was as sketchy as it can get when you add fog and darkness to the ice rain/mud/pothole mix.  10 hours of driving later, I was back in Penticton, glad to be back.

Next: Big white condo party for my sister Friday...stay tuned.

Park & Pipes - Whistler Blackcomb: G TEAM ON B
By: WhistlerBlackcomb

We are very lucky to have 7 dedicated Park groomers on Blackcomb, Marty Gautrey, Oleksander Iskat, Kirby Litzenberger, Jason Josling, Lucas Ouellete & missing from the photos, Tim Austin & Andy Morrison. Marty is the lead hand & Kirby & Andy are our pipe shapers. Our grooming team is the best ever, bringing grooming experience & a Park background to the team. Nothing happens in our parks & pipe without our Groomers who continue to deliver quality building & grooming each night.

The Park staff take care of the hits during the day & the lead hands, Fred Lepage & Eric Gendron, pass on the maintenance & new build requests to Marty & Olex @ the start of their grooming shift. Our Groomers use Pisten Bully snow cats & specifically the Park Bully model. Specialized combing teeth have been added to the Park cat blades for even better ramp shaping when back blading. The Park groomers also use forks which attach to the snow cat blade to move & install the rails. We all owe a huge thank you to our Park groomers on Blackcomb for all their hard work & dedication in bringing you the best Parks & Pipe experience. Here’s a little back ground on our drivers:

Marty Guatrey – Lead hand & grooming the B Park since 1990. Marty started in Lake Louise, made the move to Whistler & has been working in the Parks in winter & Bike Park in the summer. Marty likes working with the younger crew & enjoys skiing what he builds. “I love building jumps. It’s challenging to build & progress with the skiers & snowboarders needs. It’s great to watch people having fun & enjoying my work & I do have a beautiful work environment”.

Oleksander Iskat – Works opposite shifts to Marty & leads the team on Marty’s days off. Olex has been grooming in the Park for 5 years & also has been a key member of the Bike Park in the summer. “I get to build what I want to ride & have the freedom to build an idea. I try to make everything I build as safe as possible. I may not ride the biggest hits but I’m happy to see people progress on our features”.

Jason Josling – 2nd year in the park grooming. J was mostly in the Terrain Garden last season and now grooms the main Nintendo Park & helps out in the Highest Level when needed. “I’m still learning but feel I’m 100% better than last season. My job takes precision, a skilled eye & attention to detail. I try to make everything safe, rideable & fun”.

left to right: Oleksander, Lucas, Kirby, Marty & Jason

Lucas Ouellette – 1st season grooming & worked on the Parks day crew last season. Lucas is mostly in the Terrain Garden but is also working on the secret jib & jump section in the Highest Level Park “I like building stuff & hitting it the next day. It can be lonely @ times yet peaceful inside the snow cat. I crank up the punk rock tunes & build the jumps.”

Kirby Litzenberger – 6 seasons @ Whistler & specifically grooming the super pipe. Kirby took a couple of seasons off but we are stoked that he is back on our pipe team once again. Top riders know when Kirby has cut the pipe, it rides perfect. Kirby built his first pipe in 1988. “It takes vigilance to build the best pipe possible. I want to build & maintain the best pipe. Being rated #2 for pipe is not good enough. Southern Cali is all hype”.

Tim Austin – 2nd year Grooming the Parks & also came from Park day crew. Tim rides what he builds & rides hard. Tim started grooming the Terrain Garden his first season & is now involved in the main Nintendo Park grooming team.

Andy Morrison – Our longest serving groomer with over 16 years of grooming experience, Andy works on the winter & summer Glacier half pipes. Andy has been pipe shaping for over 5 years & has used the Pipe Dragon & the Zaugg Pipe shapers.

Because children have abounding vitality, because they are in spirit fierce and free, therefore they want things repeated and unchanged. They always say, “Do it again”; and the grown-up person does it again until he is nearly dead. For grow-up people are not strong enough to exult in monotony. But perhaps God is strong enough to exult in monotony. It is possible that God says ever morning, “Do it again” to the sun; and every evening “Do it again” to the moon. It may not be automatic necessity that makes all daisies alike; it may be that God makes every daisy separately, but has never got tired of making them. It may be that he has the eternal appetite of infancy; for we have sinned and grown old, and our Father is younger than we. The repetition in Nature may not be a mere recurrence; it may be theatrical encore. G.K. Chesterton.

One day while flying over the ocean I realized something, something that did not seem significant at the time, but has grown to produce a great wonder within me. I saw a wave, miles from any shore; It is possible that another person saw this same wave, but that’s not really the point, the point is it was there, and I saw it. Why was this wave here? Why so far from shore? Science would explain that the current had crossed over a more shallow part of the ocean creating the wave, again not really the point. Much like the idea of a tree falling in the forest with not a ear to hear, why a wave in the middle of the ocean with no one to see? Why are there millions of creepy crawly insects roaming our earth, millions possible not yet documented? Perhaps this whole thing isn’t about me, about us, maybe we have just have become so selfish to believe this way, but maybe this world isn’t ours. Maybe God takes delight in these things, perhaps which was the sole reason for its existence, maybe there was no one to see that wave, to watch that bug, hear that tree, but God was there. God stood beside himself in unexplainable joy as he saw that wave roll just one more time, and isn’t it possible that God just really likes bugs! Could he just be sitting up there on his glorious throne applauding like a wild man pushing on the ants as they build their home in the dirt? The world is not ours for the taking, and thank God for that, we’ve done our best to screw up his masterpiece already. Being made in God’s image shouldn’t we then reflect that image, shouldn’t we then to take joy in what he has made? Maybe it is thanks to Plasma and LCD screens, or Nintendo, but we have lost our joy of the brilliance that is shining all around us. We have robbed ourselves from the worlds best television show, Creation! How have we become so bored? So completely thankless? I don’t know if Chesterton got it right, I don’t know if God is younger than me due to my sins, but gosh, just watch a child, that is God’s image not me! Thank God that He is young! Thank God that he takes delight in that wave, Thank God that he made that wave, not for me but for him, Thank God that he just likes Bugs, and Thank God that He loves me and takes delight in His son. Maybe this whole living in God’s image is a little easier than we make it, maybe its just enjoying what He enjoys. “We care only for what we love. We love only what we know. We truly know only what we experience.” Steven Bouma-Prediger

Park & Pipes - Whistler Blackcomb: Blackcomb HL Park Going Off
By: WhistlerBlackcomb

Excellent snow conditions combined with outstanding building by the Park groomers has brought the Highest Level Park to an all time high. The HL Park is entertaining the top riders & skiers & blowing the on lookers minds. A new combo rail by the shack booter followed by the 50 foot flat bar plus there is another single pipe kink rail going in below that which will keep the jibbers challenged.

All the table tops have received some love and are now getting into the huge category. Looks like the weather will continue to hold the high pressure so more advancements will be made on the right line for the HL park along with more rails to go in. In the Nintendo Park extra rail and table tops have been added so there’s lots to choose from outside the HL Park. Park riding has never been so good, come up & experience it for yourself.

Park & Pipes - Whistler Blackcomb: POW PARKS
By: WhistlerBlackcomb

It’s been epic snow in Whistler with powder conditions almost daily. Not that you should be spending too much time in the park when there's this much insane snow, but that doesn't stop the crew.

The Park teams have been digging out rails, building, fences, signs, etc. with shovels & snow cats! Lots of new snow & more groomers coming on line means the Parks will expand just in time for the holiday season.

Expect to see more rails & hits going in on the Habitat Park as we expand onto the Bobcat line and add more M – L features including some of the new rails. Over on Blackcomb, the Highest Level Park will also see more of our new technical rails being installed along with more hits & jibs on the main Nintendo park. We should have the Terrain Garden ready just before Christmas.

Huge props to the day & night Park teams for dealing with all the snow. Ullr, you’re doing a great job so far this winter!

------------------------------------------------------------------------

NINTENDOCORE
-
also known as Gamecore and Ataricore is a genre of music inspired by the music or soundtracks which accompany 8-bit video games, most notably those on the Nintendo Entertainment System [NES]. It is characterized by the intensity of metalcore music joined with keyboard parts that sound similar to 8-bit video game music, but is ocasionally remixed techno variations of old NES video game themes.

Just because you were born in '97 doesn't mean you're a 90's kid.

It's not like you could remember the original Simpsons. I am sorry but three conscious years of the 90's just wont cut it.

You're a 90's kid if:

You can finish this [ice ice _ _ _ _ ]

You remember watching Doug, Ren & Stimpy, Pinky and the Brain , and Two Stupid Dogs.

AAAAAAAH Real Monsters!

You've ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!"

You just cant resist finishing this . . . "Iiiiiiin west philladelphia born and raised . . ."

You remember TGIF, Step by Step, Family Matters, Dinosaurs, and Boy Meets World.

You remember when 2Pac and Selena died.

You remember when it was actually worth getting up early
on a Saturday to watch cartoons.

You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail and Reader Rabbit day in computer class at school.

You remember reading "Goosebumps".

You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school.

You remember the craze and then the banning of slap bracelets and slam books.

You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence . . . not . . .

when everyhting was settled by rock paper scissors..or bubble gum bubble gum in a dish...and even better daddy had a donkey inky binky bonky.

when cops and robers was a daily activity.

when we played Hide and go seek until our legs grew numb.

when we used to obey our parents....ouch

You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record your FAVORITE song of ALL time.

"Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?" was both a game and a TV game show.

Captain Planet. He's a Hero.

The second you got any money you would buy pokemon cards

You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green ranger, were meant to be together.

You remember when Super Nintendo's and Sega Genisis became popular.

You always wanted to send in a tape to America's Funniest Home Videos . . . but never taped anything funny.

You remember watching Home Alone 1, 2 , and 3 . . . and tried to pull the pranks on "intruders".

You remember watching The Magic School Bus, Wishbone, and Reading Rainbow on PBS.

You remember when Yomega Yo-Yos were cool.

You remember those Where's Waldo books.

You remember when Mortal Kombat Was "Da Bomb!"

You remember eating Warheads.

You remember watching the 1st Batman, Aladin, Ninja Turtles, and 3 Ninjas movies.

You remember Ring Pops.

You remember drinking Fruitopia, Surge, and Tange.

If you memeber when every thing was "da BOMB!"

When they made the new lunchables so that you could make pizza AND tacos.

You remember boom boxes vs. cd players.

Writing M.A.S.H. notes.

Making those little paper fortune cookie things, and then predicting your life with them.

You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By The Bell".

You played and/or collected "Pogs"/

You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet, or Nano and brought it everywhere.

. . . Furbies.

You haven't always had a computer, and it was cool to have the internet.

And Windows 95 was the best.

You watched the original cartoons of Rugrats, Power Rangers, and Ninja Turtles.

You had a favorite "New Kid on the Block", and you knew all of their. names

You remember Bewitched, Jump 5, S-Club 7, and that whole period with the boy bands and pop divas.

You remeber exactly where you were and what you were doing the first time you saw a Brittney Spears or N'SYNC video.

Michael Jordan was a king.

YIKES pencils and erasers were the stuff!

All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand.

You remember when the new Beanie Babies and Talking Elmo were always sold out.

You collected those Beanie Babies.

Growing Pains.

Carebears and The Gummy Bear show.

Gak was the coolest stuff invented.

Lambchop's song never ended.

The old dollar bills.

Silver dollars, wich were cool to have.

You remember a time before the WB.

You collected all the Troll dolls

You owned a portable tape player.

If you even know what an original walkman is.

You remember wanting to sit on the orange Nickelodeon couch.

You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"

You know the Macarena by heart.

"Talk to the hand" . . . enough said/

You always said, "Then why don't you marry it!"

You know the significance of the number 23.

You went to McD's to play in the playplace.

You remember playing on merry go rounds at the play ground.

Before the MySpace frenzy . . .

Before the Internet & text messaging . . .

Before Sidekicks & iPods . . .

Before MIKE JONES . . .

Before PlayStation2 or X-BOX . . .

Before Sponge Bob . . .

Back when you put off the 5 hours of homework you had every night.

When light up sneakers were cool.

When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs.

When gas was $0.95 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing.

When we recorded stuff on VCRs.

When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off our walkmans.

When the Chicago Bulls were the best team ever.

Way back.

When it was all about N64.

WHEN YOU TRADED POGS FOR A LIVNG

Before we realized all this would eventually disappear.

Who would have thought you'd miss the 90's so much!!!!!

Hey readers,
It's saturday and like I promised I tryed to find a little time to write. Right now it's a little after 1:00PM I haven't done shi*t all day. I slept in, then went for a skate (inline if you are wondering). I don't have any real set plains yet I know at some point tonight I'll head over to that fest I mentioned in my last post.

Last night I had a few friends over and we played Goldeneye (jame bond) on Nintendo 64. Those of you that are old enough to remember the N64 might remember this game as being one of the best mulitplayer games ever. If you have a N64 and have the game I suggest using the Magnum in mulitplayer mode. It's great for medium rage kills and does a great amount of damage with only a few hits. The down fall is that it takes a bit of time between pulling off shots.

I'd like to thank everyone once again for visiting my page, placing comments, and reading the garbage. My only question is Where the hell are all the girls at?

We'll I hate to f*ck and run but I don't have much time I need to shower, do my hair and make-up and make something to eat. So untill next time dont' drink and drive, keep your zippers up, and keep it real.
