I am going to talk to you about affiliate marketing or what is most commonly know as MLM – Multi Level Marketing.

For those of you who have not heard of MLM it is considered the best way to make money online although I have to say this method has received a lot of stigma over the years namely from those people who never made money from them and quit.

The fact is that 70% of people that TRY MLM programs usually quit within 2 months of joining and are usually for the same reasons, that they never made any money.

Truthfully those people were probably told they would make a small fortune in a very short period of time but sadly the person that introduced them was only interested in signing them up and failed to explain how to build a successful business.

To build any business successfully will require hard work and should be treated as a full-time job although this is not permanent it is necessary to build a solid foundation in the early days.

Sadly most are not presented with these facts so I guess you cannot blame them for quitting or even giving the MLM opportunities a bad name.

There are 3 main reasons to be able to succeed in any MLM program which I am about to share with you and in my opinion are key to success.

  • The Right Program - You need to find the right MLM program that is low cost and offers the best compensation plan.
  • The Dream – This has to be one of the most important ingredients because if your dream is big enough you will do whatever it takes to achieve it.
  • Support – You need support with anything that is new especially from those who are already successful and are willing to help you succeed.

Ok now let’s look at these 3 key reasons in more depth to help put things in perspective.

The Right Program

Now although there are a lot of MLM programs on the internet it is important that they are an established company, offer an excellent compensation plan, provide tools to help you build your business and have a product that most people want and need.

GDI or Global Domains International are in my opinion the only MLM company that offers all of this and for only $10 a month.

Now one thing you have to realise is that if you want to work online from home and be successful in any business there will be some cost attached to it. Although GDI offers you your own business, product and unlimited income opportunity for only $10 a month plus you can try it for 7 days free.

So lets break it down and see what you get for your hard earned $10 a month.

  • Web Hosting
  • Your own domain name
  • 10 email addresses
  • Web site building tool
  • Access to the GDI Forum
  • Tools to promote your business
  • Unlimited income opportunity

As you can see you get your own website, the tools to build it and can be active online within a few short hours but what’s more incredible is you can earn money too.

So who are GDI and how do I make money?

Global Domains International, or GDI, was founded in 1999 by Michael Reed, CEO and Alan Ezeir, President who both recognized another opportunity that was largely ignored. The dot com boom that was so popular back in 1995 reached its peak around march of 2000. What Michael Reed and Alan Ezeir wondered was if there were other available extensions that businesses could use as a domain name. They ultimately focused on the domain extension .WS, which belonged to the tiny island nation of Samoa, deep in the South Pacific. They were able to execute a deal with Samoa stating they had to produce 15,000 registered domain .ws extensions in 3 years. Well they accomplished that goal in GDI’s 1st month of business and the rest as they say is history. In the 2002 Special issue of Inc. magazine, Global Domains International placed #37 on the Inc 500 magazine’s “List” of the USA’s 500 fastest growing private companies and #5 in the state of California. If you have come across any .ws adresses on the internet you can rest assured that they have been registered through Global Domains International, as GDI has single handedly captured the market share for the .ws extension. But what really puts the icing on the cake is the amazing business opportunity they have incorporated in to the equation.

So now let’s talk about how you earn money.

For every person that you refer to GDI you will earn $1 every month for as long as that person remains a member.

That person that you refer – for every person that they refer to GDI, you will earn $1 every month for as long as that person remains a member. This continues down for 5 levels.

So even if you only refer one person, but that one person referred 50 people, you would earn $1 for each of those 50 people. If those 50 people referred just 1 person each, that’s another $50 per month you’d earn.

Remember though, as I said earlier you only get out of a program what you put into it. You could very easily get someone in your downline that could refer 50 people and that would be great, but you might not, so don’t just rely completely on your downline, especially in the beginning, try to refer a few people.

Let’s look at an example of the sort of income you can earn with GDI.

If you referred 10 people and those 10 people referred just 5 people each, and those 5 people referred 5 people each, and so on for 5 levels. Your monthly income would be $7810.

Sound Good???

Well that’s not all, GDI also offer a weekly bonus scheme of $100 for every 5 people you personally introduce. So for example if 20 people joined your business you would be paid $400 for that week and best of all there is no limit to the amount of people you refer. If you were to do the same every week that would an average of $1600 a month which for a lot of people would replace their job salary.

You may be thinking it sounds too good to be true or how can I refer 10 people, I don’t know 10 people that would be interested in this.

Well its not too good to be true, there are people earning even more than that with GDI.

As far as referring people GDI offer the tools to help with this however as I mentioned previously support in this business is key to your success from those who are already successful.

The Dream

To be successful you need to have a reason or a dream this could be a few hundred dollars a month to begin with or a new car.

What I have found is that people fear to dream because they don’t believe it will happen. It has amazed me being around this business how quickly people underestimate themselves and what started out as being a dream of making a few hundred dollars a month turned into buying their dream home cash.

This business offers so much its about people helping people and the feeling of knowing you have helped others take back their lives is priceless.

Support

Most people that join MLM programs have little or no experience on how to build a successful business and sadly quit before they even get started.

Having support from those who are already successful in this type business is by far priceless and it amazes me that so many people do not grasp this when inviting people to join.

After all the core of all MLM businesses is helping others to succeed which in turn helps you succeed.

Failing to grasp this simple concept and not put in any effort will surely lead to failure and again these types of people will only end up hopping from one opportunity to another but never finding success.

So there you have it an honest opinion on Multi Level Marketing which I hope this article has helped you in your pursuit for financial freedom

Road trips

With the lack of snow on the Island this last month we were getting a little too antsy to sit around so we headed out on holiday road. First we went out to Banff and hit up Sunshine Village. It was my first time out to the rockies and it was awesome! The weather was perfect; sunny and cold and we got lots of killer pics and footage for our new movie project. We'll definitely be going back again. Thanks a lot to Doug Firby for the great hospitality. www.skibanff.com

Patrick Kitto enjoying the cold smoke out in Banff. Mmm Mmm good

When we got home there was still not very much snow so we packed up some clean undies and headed out again, this time to Whistler. Whistler is always wicked and this trip was no exception. We shredded the opening day of Blackcomb and then Whistler the next day and it rocked ( my board and my mind ) haha. Early season conditions joke... Thanks to Ryan Proctor for hooking us up. www.whistlerblackcomb.com

Myles col' kickin' it with his favourite run on Blackcomb behind him: the Sudan Couloir

When we got home from Whistler, guess what? Still not that much snow. So we packed up some more clean undies and headed out again, this time to Golden. Now if you've been to Kicking Horse you know it's rad. Steep, deep and gnarly. We had a wicked time there until the third day when the temperatures were a cool -28 in the hills and our nostrils were sticking together when we went outdoors. We all looked like Michael Jackson with our noses frozen closed so we bundled our Vancouver Island butts back into the truck, cranked the heat and headed back west. Thanks to Jordan Petrovics for the hook up.

Back Home
Now don't get me wrong, we've had a few good days of hiking around here. We've been noboarding up the hill quite a bit and even hitting some urban stuff in town with the cold temperatures.

No bindings? No problem... Ole loves noboarding. photo by Patrick Kitto

Holy crap.. Did you see that Party Snake teaser yet? If so there's really only been two responses. 1. You loved it and can't wait to see more or 2. You hated it and wish it would die. There doesn't seem to be much middle ground on this on. Check out some of the comments I found on the Gnarcore site.

I'm still waiting on a revised teaser before I post it directly in the furious blog but you can check the rough version out on the Gnarcore site or find it on FB. There's some pretty funny comments there too:

Omatic has picked up Michael Casanova.

If you haven't heard of Casanova before, here is a quick fact about the guy.  He really really likes to throw his board down on metal.  Any kind of metal and he's really good at it.  This past year he's been filming with the pirates and you can watch his part in their latest release 'overseas' http://www.pirate-movie-production.com/movies/overseas

and...

Sessons Canada has picked up E-Man Anderson.  You might remember him from being in our Snowboard.com news for his success at the Showdown over the city in Vancouver in April where he won the riders choice award.

Congrats to both riders, make sure to slap them some love next time you see them.

From 6th to 13th of April 2008 Kühtai hosted the BAGJUMP SpringBreak08 Snowboard&Freeski Camp. The Film&Foto Award presented by TVB-Kühtai was an additional feature to the Camp where filmer and photographers had the chance to get the best shots from the whole resort and be rewarded with 2000Euro prize-money. Good riders had the chance to get some international coverage and present their skills. This event was a unique experience for snowboarder, freeskier, filmer- and photographer!

A perfect shaped park, the BAGJUMP MegaBag for training and 4 IOU-Special obstacles prepared for shootings throughout the backcountry. The Völkl Pro Team was here to coach and film for the Völkl-Movie the whole week and many other international Pros to get some last shots from the 2007/08 Season with over 40 international photographers and filmers around. Some lucky campers got a Völkl Sponsorship because of their amazing riding skills. The weather was like it is in April: unpredictable! As we had Snowstorms and waist deep powder for the first 3 days and fine spring slush with mostly blue sky for the rest of the SpringBreak08. Camp-Hotel Marlstein was located close by and the food was excellent with breakfast buffets in the morning and 4 course dinners in the evenings.

Campers and daily visitors had the chance to win Zimtstern, Völkl, Gravis and X-Double prizes in the everyday mini-competitions like Poker-Tournaments, Best Trick-MegaBag, Night-Sessions on the special spots and the XBOX360 Guitar Hero Madness. Due to the bad weather Saturdays SpringOFF Slopestyle Contest took place on the rails whit over 60 motivated riders giving their best to win money and prizes.

Everyone could get 2009 Boards and Skis at the Völkl Test in the chill area and test their new Board or Ski of Choice. Listening to fine tunes coming from the RedBull Event Car mixed by Dj Seren and eating at the BAGJUMP BBQ/Grill was a good chance to regain energy for riding. While watching international Pros practicing contest winning tricks into the MegaBag not only media but also the crowd and people passing by took out the camera to capture the action.

WHISTLER GETS SET TO SPOTLIGHT BIGGEST TALENTS IN MUSIC, SPORTS AND ARTS, APRIL 11-20

Preparations underway to ready Whistler for

13th TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival

WHISTLER, BC, April 10, 2008 –

The TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival’s unique fusion sports, music and arts gets underway April 11 in Whistler and operations crews are busy getting the resort ready for ten days and nights of non-stop events and entertainment.

In the Village, where 11cm of snow fell earlier in the week to freshen up the 265cm base, 10 tonnes of scaffolding is being set up to build viewing platforms, the Pontiac Battle of the Bands stage, and the Outdoor Concert Series Main Stage, where headline acts De La Soul, Lil’Jaz, The John Butler Trio, Blackalicious, The Trews, Ill Scarlett, Daniel Wesley, Julian Marley and Michael Franti & Spearhead will perform free concerts daily from 2:30pm.

On the mountain, 3 different competition venues are being constructed, providing elite level features to showcase the world’s best skiers and snowboarders. The Big Air (finals taking place at the base of Whistler, April 12, 8pm) will feature a brand new design, with a 65 foot step-over gap jump that Whistler Blackcomb Events Manager, YP (Peter) Young says, “will allow the riders to go higher and farther than ever before.”

In addition, the 500 foot long Superpipe has been rebuilt to feature sheer 20 foot walls that will see riders and skiers at the April 16-19 competition gain maximum amplitude.

The Chief of Course for the Big Air and the Superpipe, master park-builder Steve Petrie, is also the designer and builder of the 2010 Olympic Halfpipe.

With Whistler Blackcomb’s talented crew of groomers and pipe builders logging more than 350 hours on the venues, and more than 7 million gallons of water pumped through the system by the snowmaking team, the Superpipe and Big Air jump will be ready to draw the best performances from over 200 skiers and snowboarders from around the world.

Saturday, April 12 will also see Blackcomb Mountain host the resurrected Orage Masters, a slopestyle contest that features the hottest skiers in the new school world, on a course designed by pro athlete, Vernon lad, TJ Schiller and built by a Whistler Blackcomb team under the guidance of park builder extaordinaire, Marty Gautrey.

Sporting events with a non-stop mind-blowing soundtrack is not all that’s in store at the thirteenth TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival.

The event’s artistic side has been nurtured over previous years, with 10,000 tickets available in a showcase of mountain culture, from Icon Gone, a debate about whether the best of Whistler is history (April 13), to the Schick Extreme 3 Fashion Exposed (April 18), to the theatre performance of The Chairlift Revue (April 20).

The Festival’s multi-media visual feasts, the Olympus Pro Photographer Showdown (April 17), the D250 Filmmaker Showdown and Second Cuts Screening (April 15-16), and the world premiere of mountain bike film Seasons (April 11), guarantee that every seat feels front and centre to capture the action with the ground-breaking multimedia installation, currently being constructed.

The 6-sided screen, dubbed “the Borg”, is being installed by a 10 person team at Rocky Mountain Productions, with 900 foot of truss, 7 miles of cable, and a total amplification of sound of 55,000W. (That’s nearly 800 times the sound of your home stereo, according to the godfather of the installation, Scott McPhee.)

The Borg will then be struck down to make room for the Festival’s finale, the DJ Experience, featuring DJ Dan and Donald Glaude, Mark Farina and Mat the Alien, ensuring that the party doesn’t end when the sun goes down, April 19.

175 pieces of original art from leading street artists around the world are being hung in the 10,000 square foot gallery foyer of the TELUS Conference Centre, for the urban art exhibit, Brave Art, April 11-18. The exhibit receptions on April 12 and 13 will feature live painting from over 40 artists.

Whistler is a hive of activity, preparing the resort for ten days and nights of non-stop events and entertainment, that will turn Whistler into ground zero for the biggest celebration of mountain life, starting tomorrow.

Jeff Batchelor emerges with silver

Montreal February 23, 2008 (Sportcom) – Jeff Batchelor of Oakville, Ont., won the silver medal Saturday in the men’s halfpipe at World Cup snowboarding competition at Gujo-Gifu, Japan.

It was Batchelor’s second career World Cup medal. In February 2007, he won gold at Sungwoo, South Korea. He came close to victory on Saturday finishing within 1.1 points of victor Kazuumi Fujita.

In the final, Batchelor collected 41.1 points on his first run while Fujita took the gold with a 42.2 mark on his second run. Gregory Bretz of the U.S., was third at 38.7.

‘’This is wonderful, even though I’m a little banged up,’’ said Batchelor, who didn’t finish his second run.

The event was held in a snowstorm.

‘’When we got here this morning I knew it was going to be a difficult day. It wasn’t easy with the snow. But I’m from Ontario, so the conditions were familiar. Maybe that’s why I did so well.’’

Justin Lamoureux of Squamish, B.C., also reached the final and finished fourth at 37.5. It capped a successful trip for Lamoureux, also sixth at this season’s Sungwoo stop last Saturday.

Gabriel Dussault of Donnacona, Que., missed a berth in the final by 0.2 points ranking seventh in the second round of qualifying.  The top-six from each qualifying round advanced to the final.

Dussault wound up 13th overall while compatriots Crispin Lipscomb, Brendan Davis, Ryan Bausch and Charles Reid were respectively 17th, 28th, 31st and 37th.

Iouri Podladtchikov of Switzerland remains the halfpipe World Cup leader ahead of Ryoh Aono of Japan. Lamoureux jumped from 15th to seventh while Batchelor is 11th.

No Canadians in women’s final

In women’s competition, no Canadians advanced to the final.

Katie Tsuyuki of Squamish was 10th in qualifying which was a career best World Cup result. Charmaine Ironside was 12th, Dominique Vallée 13th, Sarah Conrad 15th, and Alexandra Duckworth 20th.

Zhifeng Sun of China won the gold medal with 34.3 points. Soko Yamaoka of Japan was second at 32.9 and Manuela Laura Pesko of Switzerland third at 32.2.

‘’This was very good preparation for the events in Calgary and Stoneham’’’ said Canadian national team coach Tom Hutchinson.

Canadian entries for Sunday’s parallel giant slalom are Caroline Calvé, Alexa Loo, Kimiko Zakreski, Jasey-Jay Anderson, Patrick Farrell, Michael Lambert and Matthew Morison.

Define yourself in 3 words...
Better Than You
What is your favorite TV show?
Red Dwarf, or Farscape. Im a loser like that.
Walking past a beggar, spare change or ignore?
I'd probably kick him and tell him to have some goddamn self-re-cocking-spect! You don't ask for change, you mug people for it. These people have to learn to work for things
Where do you want to travel next?
Norway
What would you do if Michael Jackson asked you out
I'd say "Micheal, I'm Flattered. Sort out your money problems, put a bag on your head and one on mine incase yours falls off, and we'll talk.. as long as you're rich."
What is your favorite food?
You can't make me choose! it'd be either KFC, Chicken Chow Mein or Pizza.
Do you read harry potter books?
f*ck No, what are we? 12?
What is your favorite place?
Lancaster, with the right people.
If you could have one super human power what would you choose?
I'd need a comedy superpower I think, Biscuit Levitation or the ability to make peoples trousers fall down.
Have you had a beer in the last week?
why yes, yes I have. It'd be rude not to.
How tall are you?
6' 1" / 6' 2" last time I checked
Do you like bananas?
no, can't stand them actually.

Summer is almost over and I for one and pretty stoked. Don't get me wrong, I love the warm weather and all the debauchery that comes with it but after 2-3 months of dealing with stupid tourists, I'm ready for things to cool off around here. The good side of it is that we're less than 100 days away from snowboard season. Big White officially opens in 84 days according to my calendar. I'm hoping to get a pass there again this year but it'll require some serious condo buying to get that done...I've got the parents convinced that it's a good investment but not sure if everyone can afford it at this point. If that falls through, Tori and I will give the Apex scene a shot. At least there's a lot less driving involved even though I'm pretty sure the road to Apex is one of the 7 deadliest objects known to man (right behind cancer but slightly ahead of a dog raised by Michael Vick).

In other news, I've been neglecting Stomp pretty big time all summer. I'm supposed to finish this years movies on Saturday but I haven't even started it yet. Can you say Christmas deadline?!? We didn't get as much footage this year though so it'll probably suck more than usual. The site is behaving badly to and seems to have some sort of snowboard sex ad on it right now. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to can the whole thing. To much effort at this point. Ah well. It's been a fun ride. Maybe we'll keep it going on more of an underground level.

See you when the snow starts to fly.

It's hard to believe that I've been home from my Austrian trip for over a month now. Anyone that know me would know that there is no way that I could come home from a trip like that and not work my ass off for the next one to come. Which is what I've been doing. Which leaves little time for snowboarding. It seems that when my one day off a week comes the snow is crappy. Anyway's I'm sure I'll get up there before the season is over.
Well Austria was amazing and I can't understand how 3 weeeks here can seem so slow and 3 weeks in Europe feels like an extended weekend. So because of that, I will be heading back for 10 days of riding.....motorcycle this time, On May 8th. We'll start in Innsbruck AT and make our way down to Cingue Terre IT through Switzerland. The roads should be nice and clear since the Alpes really didn't get much snow this year.  Just me and Michael. It will be a blast and to be honest this trip is the only thing keeping me sain at the moment. I really cna't stand my job. It's getting in the way of my personal life!

Well that's all that's going on in my life for the time being. I'll try and load up a few more shots of my trip. It seems to take forever Maybe I'll do one a day so my computer doesn't freez up.

Hope all is good
Christine
