My Blog: Rome's "No Correct Way" and "The Bluebird Movie"

Well, if you were foolish enough not to get a cab (yep - we know someone who did that!), it was still definitely worth the walk from the Gas Lamp district of San Diego up to Modus Bar and Lounge for "Under the Influence".

Why? Free beer!!

Well, that and the much-anticipated snowboard movie premiers of Rome’s "No Correct Way" and "The Bluebird Movie" from Bluebird wax. To inject a little personal stamp of approval on where the Bluebird crew is coming from, their tagline is: Snowboarding...it was better when you hated us. As any sport becomes bigger and more mainstream, it unfortunately can become a hostage to corporate money and corporate marketing and morphs into something that its originators never intended. Hopefully all the guys associated with the company can fare better than so many other promising brands that have come and gone over the last two decades of snowboarding.

The night got a little fuzzy pretty quickly, but I remember that our homies over at reelcomp.com were doing a webcast, our extended family JP Lagos over at thesnowlife.com kept the beers coming, John Foy from our friends down the hill at Boards 'n Motion was all smiles, and Runke the Rome sales manager was up to - or should I say "down to" - his normal mischievous ways!!

Over the past couple of months Ive gotten my hands on some fine new hardwear... Couple days ago I got a Never Summer EVO 142 which I am saving for better conditions and competitions, but it looks dope! Also I got a nice new NEFF beanie, and a grenade Jacket. Not to mention brand new 08 grenade gloves. Been riding with Zackariah, Katnip Himself, and a couple of my tightest homies. GET READY COLORADO THIS SEASON IM GUNNA SHRED THE HELL OUTA YA. Unfortunitly as the snow moves in that also means the skate moves out, which really sucks cuz I was gunna get my first AD photoshoot on a ten-stair in Boulder, but It looks like its to cold and my sponsor is losing inerest....

My Blog: The Winter Season Opener Party Nov. 26th (update)

Alright here's an update on the event...

The doors open at eight pm. Starting at 9pm and every hour on the hour, we will be giving away Westbeach bucks which can be redeemed at the Westbeach store in gastown.

The Fashion show will be at 11pm.
There will be a V.I.P. screening of the "Paint The town Red" trailer just prior to the fashion show.

The tickets will be available this Friday at the Westbeach store in gastown. They will not be available through clubvibes.com. The Advance tickets are $5.00, more at the door.

If you want to come down and have a guestlist of ten or more people I will get you in for free before 10:30.

I miss my homies on the site and I'll throw down for a laptop (part of the separation agreement, give up the llaptop) so I can chat it up with ya'll. Well, not alot has been going on but I have some cool news, my camera arrived in penticton the other day so im gona be picking that up while im there for a couple days on the weekend. Me and my bro's have been playing golf and I won today, golf is dope haha . I plan to stay in van for a while and take photo's and film an then maybe move up to whis to film and shoot phot's with a really cool crew for the winter and do some shreddin! alrighty well I'll see some of you when im back for grad stuff on the weekend! So I finally got the photo from the event by stealing them off Benny's Facebook page. The video is still under construction due to the fact that the canucks take up most of my time right now between drinking during the games and being hung over the next day.

- The TPBz are on summer vaction but there is still the backyard bash so stay tuned. You can find us chilling at Wreck beach getting wrecked and skimming till the sea cows go home.
