about 3 months from now... i'll be tearing up the springs... i'm uber-excited and therefore starting my pre-season conditioning NOW!!! i'll be stomping the betties as usual and maybe you guys will actually refer to me as Heather, rather than "that chick who does flips in the park"... yeah, someone actually called me that last year... I was on the lift and this dude said to me "hey, aren't you that chick who does flips in the park?" ...

i'll have a whole new bag of tricks for this year... i built a tramp-board and have been playing with it for awhile now (2 seasons!!!)... i've only been out boarding maybe 3 times in the past 2 seasons (long story... i was grounded bcuz of the boyfriend, who i now live with  ...i'm 18 now biatch, i do what i want mutha#%^&er) anyway... yeah so after 2 long years without my board, i'll be back and rippin it up... shizzam!

Alright, so the whole whining rant about what life's about was depressing me, and it is the new year for God's sake, so in honor of 2007, and preparation of 2008, I figured it was worth mentioning some of 07's biggest deals...

1) Sam's contest to see who could get the 10,000th view on his page.
2) Whit and Becka go to Europe!
3) We have a mass migration to Colonies.com, and therefore adopt the colonies retards as our own.
4) The return of daffy to his regular slacker status.
5) Sb.com as we know it ceases to exist.
6) The epic "Hottest guys and gals of Colonies.com" contest.
7) Tim finally get's his Australian butt to America.
8) 36 Hours of Keystone, 2007.  I wasn't there but it certainly does get an honorable mention.
9) The lovely battle with the infamous retard, export.
10) Congratulations to Heather, who is now the proud mommy of a beautify baby girl.

Meh, just a couple of the headliners, but when you rock as much as we do, its hard to be super amazing all the time.

we sat on queen west at 3:30 am and talked to a rasta named damien. he gave us wise words on common perceptions of white girls and also explained why black girls always seem so angry. he says its because "most o dem be loose and got a baby daddy who dun treat dem bad and it make dem angry wit da wurld". whats more ignorant, generalizing black females and asking him why they are so angry all the time, or his response in which he actually justifies our racist question with an answer and even goes so far as to put them down?! i guess id say it was our fault for bringing it up in the first place. aaah whatever. then he asked if he could suck on heathers nipple? i just dont know sometimes....

Was up in Whistler this weekend and everytime I go there I am reminded why it's such a great place and that I can't wait to move back. Whooping it up at the longhorn with good friends(new and old) Drunken snowball fights with strangers in the village square. Lunch at the dam which turned into an all day event(heather rocks). Looking up at the peak and the excitement of an early season. It is home.
See you all on saturday

My Journal: Baby steps.....
By: cazza21

For those of you who don’t know, I lost my best friend from high school in a car crash this past January.   Brody was the first person I called whenever I went home at thanksgiving, which made going back this weekend really hard. But there was another reason why this time was so hard…. After having put it off for quite some time, I finally got in contact with his widow (i hate using that word). I wish I could say I had the guts to call her, but I didn’t. After spending a month dialing the first 6 numbers then hanging up (starting on his birthday), I took the easy way out and sent her an email to see how she was doing. She responded and told me that she wanted me to see her and the baby. The last time I had seen Reagan was at the funeral. He looked so much like his dad.. the entire time I was holding him I was in tears. I was nervous that I wouldn’t know what to say to Heather, as we were never really friends. I spent the 4 days before the visit trying to mentally prepare myself for the visit. Heather decided that she should come to my house, as my family was really close to Brody, and that she knew that Brody would want us all to be part of Regans life.

The second I opened the door, all the nervousness melted away. Heather handed him to me to take his jacket off as she took her shoes off, and he just looked at me and smiled. He looked just like his dad, but it didn’t make me sad this time. Regan has grown so much… he’s running around and getting into lots of trouble. Heather and I managed to find a few things to talk about, but it wasn’t long until we started talking about Brody. She had only met him after university, so she wanted to know about what he was like in high school. She had been going through all his stuff and found all kinds of random things that she wanted me to explain to her. It was so great to share all the stories… and to pull out some tapes of some random moments that had been recorded for us all to laugh at later. I promised her to get some pics together for her to share with Regan when he’s older.

I had been so afraid of seeing her and the baby, but really it was the best thing I could have done. It still hurts that he’s gone, but at least now I know when I really miss him, I can always go see Regan and see those same brown eyes staring at me.

friday September 15th the weather man says we will get snow in the mountains between 6,000 and 8,000 feet.
It rains all day I had to take a load of pallets through Sardine Canyon the temperature at 1:47 pm dropped to 44 degrees.
After work my mom calls me while I am at home and tells me that the news said it is snowing in the mountains.
I went down the hall to my brothers apartment and watched Lucky Number Sleven with him, his girlfriend heather and my youngest brother Clint. After the movie got over it was about 1:00am Saturday September 16th. I had been planning on going up to Powder Mountain that night to see if it was getting any kind of snow. Well We grabbed our gear in case the snow was deep enough. Finally got on our way at about 1:30 am had to get gas though. On the way up the temperature in the valley was 44 degrees. After we went through the canyon to the city Eden  which is about 8-10 miles from Powder Mountain the temperature was about 40. Our hopes were quickly turning to doubt that there would be any snow up at the resort. Well to get to Powder Mountain from Eden you have to climb quite a bit in elevation. As we started to climb it began to get foggy. Our trucks have digital thermometers we watched the temperature drop as we continued to climb, it began to get foggier and foggier it was still raining but I noticed the rain seemed to be turning to snow, it was! The side of the road had snow already laying. As wel climbed higher the road had a light layer of snow on it as well. We got through the fog and it was like a blizzard! I havent been so excited since I was a child on Christmas Eve! The resort had some outside lights that lit areas up. The road ends at the  parking lot of the resort. We turned the truck off in the parking lot and got out breathing in the fresh crisp cold air. The snow was about 2-4 inches deep depending on the area. we hopped back in the truck and talked for a half hour or so and finally decided to go home and get some sleep then head up later that morning. On the way back I got my gear on and hopped out, snowboarding down the side of the road a ways till the snow was just too thin, Justin drove slow giving me the light need with the trucks headlights. I just wanted to get back in my board, I didn't care how little snow there was.

That morning we got up and were on our way at about 9am. The snow at the resort was 10-13 inches. One person was on one of the runs  boarding down and climbing back up. He worked there and said it was the best place since there were no rocks just brush on this particular run. I didn't know how out shape I was till I hiked up the side of the mountain. The powder was great but my muscles are pathetically weak. I was able to do 3 runs is all. Climbing took too much out of me. But It was worth it. Boarding in the middle of  September seemed like a dream. I felt like I should be waking up any minute.

My mom got me a limo for Homecoming!!! I'm so excited!! In it will be: Myself, Robert, Tosha, Shelby, Heather, Schasha, Monika, Catherine, Christina, and Rebecka!! Robert will be the only guy! But as I've said before, what guy wouldn't want to show up to Homecoming with 8 girls in a limo?!! My dates, yes dates, as in more than one, will be: Adam, Tosha, Shelby, Heather, and Christina! Sadly, there is not enough room for Adam in the limo because he asked me yesterday and I already had a set list, but oh well, he's my buddy and we're going to Homecoming together, and with my other dates!!
It is going to be so fun! I order my dress today or tomorrow, and then it should be in Saturday or Sunday. Something like that! LOL. I'm so excited. I know Homecoming is going to rock this year! Everyone is on good terms...for now, and we're all happy and ecstatic and can't wait!! Homecoming is my favorite thing about starting a new school year. And next year we get to go to Prom, don't even get me started on that yet!! LOL. I'm getting sick, so hopefully I'll be better by Homecoming.
If not then oh well, because I'm still going no matter how sick I am. Unless of course I'm confined to a hospital bed. Even then I'd try to find a way to Homecoming, even though I would surely not succeed... I'm just so happy. Everyday brings it closer, and the closer it gets the more I seem like I'm on crack! LOL. Well, that is all for now. There is no doubt in my mind that I will not be writing about Homecoming again in the very, very near future! Until next time...

IN MY MIND

hmmmmmmmm...)
imagine seein him on the town holding another hand
she's staring me down so i figure that he told her who i am
but it dont matter either way
what they do or say
'cause aint nothin changed
he standin with her
but he sho' is callin' out my name.

In my mind I'll always be his lady.
In my mind I'll always be his girl.

saw his momma just the other day
said he'd been through a spell (well, well)
had a bad breakup
peace be on its way up
its hard to tell

She said i think it'd do some good if you call
on that prayed out man (?)
ya see he been through some some thangs and
i think he could really use a friend

Chorus:
In my mind I'll always be his lady.
In my mind I'll always be his girl.
In due time he'll tell if I'm his lady
But in my mind I'll always be his girl.

They say if you love something
you've got to let it go (Oh----)
and if it comes back
then it means so much more.
But if it it never does
at least you will know (Oh--)
that it was something you had to go through
to grow

chorus:
In my mind I'll always be his lady.
In my mind I'll always be his girl.
(I don't care what nobody eles says)
In my mind he'll tell if i'm his lady.
But in my mind i'll always be his girl.
I'll always feel this way about you.
I'll always be your girl!
In my mind
In myheart
In my soul
baby you should know
your in my thoughts
your in my prayers
I know it will be the best.

Yeah-----
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Blogging bubble: Generazione X
By: Freesty_Girl

Le All star?
Siamo stati etichettati come Generazione X e abbiamo dovuto sorbirci Sentieri e i Visitors, Twin Peaks e Beverly Hills ti piacquero allora, vai a rivederli adesso, vedrai che delusione).
avessimo vissuto nessun avvenimento storico.
Congratulazioni!

My Journal: Hood
By: snowpunk

Soooooo, I went to Mt Hood this last weekend and Damn was it a brutally good time. Got down to Camas (just east of Vancouver) Friday night and just kinda hung out and chilled a bit. Saturday we got up pretty early and headed out and picked up some people so we were rolling 6 deep in Mikes Excursion. Got to Hood about 8:30 (notice the time) and unloaded everybody and theyre stuff off at the lodge at Meadows. After getting lift tickets we proceeded to wait untill at least 9:15 for all the SKIERS to finally get their boots and various parephanallia on and everyone loaded up their packs with Lots of beer/lunch/Super strong Margaritas.
Five of us took off while Mike went and looked to meet the other group we were going to ride with.

We finally got riding about 9:15 - 9:30 and there was anywhere between 2 to 5 inches of new. We rode up the Mount Hood Express and Buried our Bags in theyre favorite bag burying spot atop a 15 to 20 foot cliff (more on said cliff later) ended up riding trees for a while and having a blast untill we hear that Cascade Chair is open so we haul ass over to it and proceed to take the chair into a white out/flat light wonderland. The snow felt great but you couldnt see anything at all once we traversed over to the top of Heather canyon where there are a bunch of sick bowls that we wanted to attack. John and Chris proceeded to eat shi*t pretty spectacularly due to the lack of any definition on the snow. All in all it was probally the worst light Ive experianced this season and thats saying a lot considering some of the days Ive ridden. Well Alpental was as bad if not worse on New Years Day but I knew that line like the back of my hand so I knew what to expect.

So we head back over to Shooting Star and Heather Canyon and ride great tree lines for a while until its time to go meet the other group down at the base area. Me being the way I am, am doing my usual haul ass- hyena routine when I notice that no one is behind me anymore and Im going somewhere Ive never gone before so I just start following signs to the Parking area. I forget that there are more than one parking area at hood with differebt base areas so I end up all the way down at Hood River Express and have to get all the way back over to The main base area. About this time my lower legs and back knee(which have been really bothering me for the last few weeks) are really starting to ache so I down four Aleve with nothing to wash it down with and wait untill I can get to the PBR tall cans in my pack. So after getting pissed at my Ipod because the shi*tty battery dies I finally make my way to where Im going and proceed to look for the group for the next 20 minutes or so until John finally runs out and flags me down.

We proceed to eat and drink beer which everyone else has been doing all morning and then the real games begin. By this time were 11 deep with only John and I and Mikes kid being on snowboards. All of the Skiers were pretty damn good which was a bonus so we start terrorizing Jacks Woods which is a decent sized wooded area at really high speed with eleven people trying not to bounce off of each other or more importantly a tree. Of course on every chair up were downing beers and Margaritas out of multiple flasks on three full chairs full of people and generally having a grand old time. This goes on untill most of us can barley stand our legs are so worked and then we decide to call it a day about 4 or so. Anyone who knows me knows I never dirnk more than a couple beers at lunch if Im riding and hardley ever ride from 9 to 4 so it was definatly a looong one for me but I was just getting warmed up by this point.

We go to retrieve our packs atop the earlier mentioned cliff and three of the group want to drop it. Me knowing better in my state and my legs being worked decide to spot the landing. First up is this Guy named Rob who proceeds to drop in with a touch too much speed and proceeds to go out about thirty feet from the face of the rock and about 35 or 40 vertical feet. The landing was a little on the firm side that far out and I had NO idea he was going to hit it that fast so he proceeded to rag doll for about 30 yards and ends up holding his shoulder and not feeling all too great. Im not sure what the final result was, but thats the first time Ive ever been with someone who had to ride a tabogan down the mountain before. His shoulder was either dislocted really bad or he had a broken collorbone.

After we all met up again we all pile in to the previously mentioned Excursion and follow a Denali full of Skiers to a crazy cabin in the woods complete with fully stocked beer cooler and hot tub. We proceed to party/marinate there for a few hours and then hop back in the Excursion for the trip back to Camas while Chris and I who are sitting in the back seat proceed to sing lots of Buttrock songs (all I remember was a Van Halen one) at full volume for the entire trip.

All in all a vedy vedy good day on the mounatin!

because of what happened last night. it wasnt a completely bad/ horrible night, it just ended up that way. in fact it was really great till we tried to come home. we had gone to the banque last night, me and becca, and heather had let me take her car, which is a stick. i can drive a stick very well, i just had to get a little used to it. and i did so very fast because i've driven that car before. we had a great time at the banque even though NO ONE we knew was there, we just messed around with tory and CJ.

the bar closed around 1:30 and we started to head home. well, the car was acting a little funny, it seemed as though the gears WOULD NOT catch. i couldnt get the car above 40 mph on the interstate so we pulled off on this road and tried to get it to go from there, well, after we stopped, the car refused to move. so we somehow cought CJ right before his phone died and he came and picked us up. we had to push it into a parking log next to where we were. by the time we got back it was 3:15 and i had to explain to heather what happened, even though i had already called her. and she had just as good a night as us. but that's her story to tell... great things come in three's so i'm waiting to see what the 3rd thing is...
