Mountain temperature: nice and warm.
Wind speeds: fast at times, slower at other times.
Snowfall accumulation: 6 feet of snow.
Forecasts: more radness coming.
Upcoming events: "Tricks R4 Chicks" all girls camp presented by Rugged Riders and JumpCamp, March 14, 15.
JumpCamp Session #2 March 16, 17
JumpCamp Jam (one day) March 19

The first JumpCamp session was awesome! The conditions were wicked with all the new snow we've gotten on the Island in the last month. The season's have switched here this year; we had spring in the winter and now we're having winter in the spring. Man, it's total global weirding.... We had a gorgeous day on Saturday and all the campers loved the new park design. Sunday was a little soggy but that didn't slow anyone down and everyone really progressed their shred skills over the weekend. Thanks to all the coaches for their hard work and all of our killer sponsors for all the prizes!

Coaches Corner: Senor Brown, Cobra Commander and Captain Hatesalot.

Coach Myles getting all inverted.

Campers getting the bro assisted tow ins.

JumpCamp Exclusive:
Very rare photo of Coach Olaf Larsen skiing in a one piece suit. Even back when he was a two-planker wanker he had some serious style. Look at the outfits in this pick! Hahahaha.......  Actually they're not much different than the crazy outfits nowadays.

Hahahahaha........ man.

New JumpCamp whip! Yes folks, it's true. JumpCamp has gotten rid of the hoopty and picked up a nice new truck. Thanks to everyone at Brian McLean Chevrolet in Courtenay for everything. Go in and buy a vehicle and tell them JumpCamp sent you.

So next time you see me... holla like ya' know me!

Yummies and Gyros rule! Go get yourself a delicious gyro or donair next time you're in Courtenay. Maybe you'll be lucky and the gals will be sporting their beach wear. Thanks to Katherine and the crew for hooking us up.

wa-wa-wee-wa!!

Onethirtythree window
got a little extra lovin' this year from Breanne at Custom Hand Painted Wall and Window Murals. Check out her work down at the shop when you go register for the camps.

Is it sad today will be the day of my first snowboarding trip this season?  I'm sort of disappointed in myself.

My college canceled all classes today and hopefully the same will go for tomorrow.  I don't know what mountain we'll be hitting up but I'm stoked as hell.

I was going to go to Okemo over winterbreak but unfortunately I was too drunk to function hahaha.

I hate being a broke college student.  Anyway I'm hoping for some battle scars today and to hit some new tricks.  Wish me luck! xoxo wtf3

After a week of consistent snow, the riding here in Whistler is back in business! We're into our 5th week of camp and the second group of long term campers are packing their bags and preparing to hit town as we speak.

Christmas in the camp houses was celebrated in true Whistler style with wine and cheese, pressies, partying in town and of course, Christmas day spent riding on the mountain... how else would you rather spend your holidays?!

We're super stoked that we've been able to take our groups to secret powder stashes on the mountain without getting stuck in long holiday lift lines. Also, now that the upper alpine lifts are staring to open, we're looking forward to some steep pow runs in the bowls and maybe a hike or two for some of the best untracked powder on the mountain. It's that kind of inside local knowledge that means we can ride harder, faster and in deeper pow that anyone else hahaha!

The terrain parks are already starting to look good. The Nintendo Park on Blackcomb has a number of hip, box and rail features and a couple of jumps. As more snow falls we'll begin to see the Terrain Garden (beginner's park) and Higher Level (XL) parks take shape. We're also looking forward to seeing the double rainbow stall feature and dancefloor jibs they're building in the Whistler park using the cable reels from the construction of new Peak to Peak gondola.

It even looks like there's almost enough snow for our first backcountry jump day to be held in a secret location yet to be revealed... can't wait!

Happy New Year form the team at Proride. Hope your new year sounds as exciting as ours!

REP OF THE MONTH: its been awhile since we featured a rep of the month. Ben Couves "sandwiched between a young Rod Stewart and Mr. MC Hammer piano pants" secured the coveted award yesterday when he sent over this amazing photo

with this explanation to my what the hell is going on in this photo. "Hahaha it was in grade 11, I won that guitar on the radio for a short story I wrote high on mushrooms about being high on mushrooms.hahahha amazing." -Ben

Hey we're having a MONSTER SALE October 16th and 17th.

Don't miss out, Dave's BBQing big time!

Welcome to 1984, where money was for nothing and chicks were free.

Sorry if you're (G) because they say the (F) word in the video. In their defense, they're calling themselves (F's) so I guess its not that bad but I'm not (G) so I wanted to make sure we didn't catch any heat like the time we posted Kale's Airhole commercial. We good?

Holy crap.. Did you see that Party Snake teaser yet? If so there's really only been two responses. 1. You loved it and can't wait to see more or 2. You hated it and wish it would die. There doesn't seem to be much middle ground on this on. Check out some of the comments I found on the Gnarcore site.

I'm still waiting on a revised teaser before I post it directly in the furious blog but you can check the rough version out on the Gnarcore site or find it on FB. There's some pretty funny comments there too:

My Blog: Unsure...
By: MountainGirl

They have almost 70 new cm of snow at seymour in the last 48 hours, but they are calling for rain (not just showers, RAIN) all day on the hill. I don't know if I want to haul my ass all the way up there to try to "carve" (hahaha, boy do I use that word loosely) down icy runs. In fact, is that even possible? It would be more like skating, I think, and i really don't feel like breaking anything this early in the season.
The thing is I also really want to be able to get out there this weekend. I haven't been in a week and it has done nothing but puke snow on the mountain. Damn this 9-5 job. how the hell are you supposed to be able to take advantage of the winter season when you're stuck inside all the time?

The snow is lovely. I love the lovely white snow. I love to love...but my baby just loves to dance, he wants to dance, he loves to dance... HAHAHAHAH! HA!

I am super excited because today we just had our first snowfall here in the wonderful city of Montreal. OOOH I LOVE IT! The weekly forecast announces up to 20cm of snow!!! (wet snow sadly) But who cares! Winter is here and the snowboarding season is on its way!!! YAHOO! Watch out skiers!!! But we still love ya! Anywho, now not only is it wet snow falling, the wind is blowing harder too... dammit... I guess Montrealers will have a white Christmas after all!

On to snowboarding... I'm getting back my deck this weekend, or when I have cash to pay for the damages... Man did Le Massif kill me!!! Too much flat land! How ironic for such a huge mountain! I can't wait to get back on and start riding again!
(not that kind of riding.. you ppl think i'm a freak doncha?) But, I must admit that le sex is pretty good! When needed and well deserved I might add! (my blogs are quite random aren't they?)

More to come in the following months.

(not that come)

ahhh....what can I say.  It has been a pretty eventful weekend.  The shows have been good, the rain has been bad.  Not that I mind a little tarp, but c'mon!

Actually, pretty impressed by the organization of this place.  Haven't worked here before, and I even got to park for free!!  yes!

The sound is incredible and there hasn't been much incident.  Just the usual teen drama...lol
OMG..Ryan looked at me!!!  (that is his name isn't it??)  heh...sorry, I'm too old for this band...hahahaha

And speaking of rain, what's up with Jeff Gordon and the reigning win at Pocono?  my word, some people have all the luck..lol
My home track, Long Pond (even though I've never been there for a race  )  Still looked cool.  It's always nice to see Tony's hawt face anywhere (and a few other parts of his body  )

mmhm....smoke'n

My Journal: Big Apples
By: Jesgirl

Summer is upon us, and although I look forward to biking and golfing, volleyball at the lake, and movie nights in Grant Park.
It also means work for me.  Some of you who know me well, know that hasn't been my favorite subject lately.

Usually, I have my summer shows all booked by March, and I pretty much know what I'm doing.  This year, I had a lame job in a theatre in New York lined up, and wasn't planning on doing any touring.

As situations happen (usually involving boys  )   I ended up back in the Windy for the summer.  I'm not complaining, I love this city, the greatest city in the World for me.  Just makes trying to catch jobs a little more difficult when you come in the middle like this.

Anyway, hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!
Made plans to go to the races, but too much rain for me.  I'm not a girly girl or anything, but 3 hours in the rain, on those seats, without a race to watch...um...no.

So, I went up to New York with my boyfriend to visit his best friend who had gotten out of school that weekend.  It was nice to be in NYC again, man, I miss that place so much.
Hudson Park is so peaceful.

Guess I need to take some pictures from the Jersey side!!  LOL

Been laying low all week.  I bought a new car!!  yay and boo.  I miss the Jeep already, it's sad, but it was time.  That poor girl, she had been through a lot.
Going to hang with my friend Gwenie this weekend, haven't seen her in so long, I had a hard time getting ahold of her!   Should be crazy times, and good times, can't wait to see the new show.  Then it's back to work, actually have a lot of work in June and hopefully July will catch up before the end of the month.  I guess it isn't so bad.

Planning to be back in NYC before the first snow fall.  And hopefully make it back up to Canada, before my sister disowns me!!  hahaha....seriously Carrie, I love ya

Today, we went to Mc Cormick's Creek park for our celebration convocation---an event where all students attend, unless they get into trouble...

It was fun going there...laughing, and joking around with our friends...and some barely-friends...(lol)...but it wasn't that great too cuz the busses were split up alphabetically, so most of my friends were split apart *pout* but I think most of them had someone to talk to...hopefully...

So when we got there, we got off the bus and started going off in our own groups...(it would've sucked if you had no one to go with...) My group huddled in a little circle and got yearbook signing done...just to get it over with. It took a little while, but we got it done. So we were going to go horse-back riding, but we didn't have enough time until it was already lunch so we followed the creek...it was fun leaping on the craggly, loose rocks...(while hoping that you don't slip and break a bone...) we went quite a distance, and turned back when it seemed pointless to go on...after all, creeks don't really END...

We got back pretty much on time and ate lunch...Which were little pizzas in tins, and soda...it was pretty good...we ate our lunch as quickly as we could...after eating, though, we had to use the restroom...and the only ones there were the shack-things...*shudder* Normally, I wouldn't even gotten close to those things, but since I really needed to go (LOL), I went in...It actually wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be---well, it didn't smell bad, at least...

So we began our VERY long walk to the stables...it really was far...we might've had to go around 2 miles...*sigh* After waiting for the two slowpokes (hahaha...don't kill me XP) to catch up, and dragging our legs forward, we arrived at the stables...Only to find out that the riding party had gone 20 minutes ago, and would not return until the end of the hour; it was only 12:20...

RAWR! I was soooooooo mad! We went all that way, and were so frickin' excited to go  *sigh* So we had to be content with watching the horses that remained behind. They were behind a fence, but some of them moved up really close so we could pet them...I took lotsa pics and a short video...Hehe, Vic even hugged the horse's head...They were so adorable XD

But we had to go or else we would miss going to the waterfall, and possibly the busses...so we headed back, and went down to the waterfall on the way...And because the pool was closed (), the students were swimming there...gosh, I should've gone...but oh well...plus, it was really crowded...and I don't quite trust the water...so instead, I went on the rocks downstream and hopped around...it was fu ^.^ the water was pretty cold so it was fun to soak your arms in there...

After that, we headed back, just 5 minutes before the busses came...and we ended up coming back to school at 2:00---and since we weren't allowed to go back inside, we had to stay in the heat for 30 minutes...grr (well, i later found a nice, cool corner near the building, so it was all good)...

On the way home, I never even bothered to think about how much I would miss Tri-North; possibly because there isn't much to miss anyway  But its probably because chocolate from B had melted in my bag and was getting everywhere (on my shoes, pens, yearbook, etc etc)...yeah, that makes more sense...

Well, I gotta go now...gotta get ready for, uh, stuff...kk, cya =)
