My Journal: crashy goodness

So I'm cruisin whistler park yesterday with Rach and Matt, just doin laps hittin jumps and jibs. doing whatever second lap hittin the hip I go pretty big on that hip just doing shifties goofing off pretty stock, for some reason I got off balance and over corrected and started rolling over my front shoulder and this is not good I spin out of the roll catch my back edge and eat the shi*t as hard as you can eat shi*t the whiplash effect. but back head all real hard luckily no concussion thank you red helmet I love you. I knocked the wind out of me self so I'm strugglin for air rach see this struggle and was about to jet off and get patrol but its not that bad matt stops her. I can breath after and agonizing 15 seconds. my googles took the worst of it I recon the strap snapped off kablam lense kinda came out and won't go back in. They are trashed I like them googles brand new they were Spy Orbits Jesus!. But The rest of the day went pretty good Just goofin off tryin cab 9's off the S jump so close landed a bunch of cab 7's but the ever so much cooler cab 9 is elusive. So today I am feeling the pain and strain of the crash oh yea I bit my tongue to so that kinda hurts there it is zing.

Snowboard.com News: Email Problems and the Solution

If you have an email account with Snowboard.com, you are probably having problems logging in to read your email over the last couple of weeks. We have had huge problems with spammers flooding our servers and making them un-usable, as well as many technical issues with our email server. In an effort to fix this we have done alot of research to find out how we can cure this problems for good. Google has allowed us to transfer all of our Snowboard.com email accounts to Gmail (Googles email service). This means you will get to use their great email interface for your email and have a much larger email account. Currently, gmail allows accounts to store more than 2 GB of email. We will be making this move this week and hope to have the email back to a normal state by Friday Dec 22. We appologize for this break in email service and hope this solution will fit your needs.

We will be posting instructions on how to check your new Snowboard.com Gmail account as soon as they are setup. We will still allow you to log into your old email account here (as soon as we get it running again) to grab contacts and old emails until the end of the month.

I just bought a set of really sweet Oakley A Frames last week with Persimmon lens at the ski and snowboard show. I wasn't planing to buy any other googles until I visited steepandcheap.com today and they had Spy Todd Richards Soldier goggles with sic Bronze/Red Spectra Mirror lens for $43US! (reg $139US). With shipping and exchange it only costs $66CAN! Man I just paied $109+tax for my Oakleys last week! I told myself I didn't need the Spy googles but some how I convinced myself I needed them for day riding and I would keep the Oakleys for night. I really want some SNOW!

My Blog: Toronto Ski & Snowboard Show

Well the show was wicked! I was the 3rd person into the show yesterday because we bought our tickets online which put us in an express line. Deals, deals, deals! Wow, it was a good thing we got there when it opened up as there was so many great deals everywere and by 7pm (when we left) the best deal were gone. Me and my bro shopped for 4 hrs and I ended up walking out with these deals:

Board: 06 Salomon Prospect LTD 153 - $399 (reg $649)

Boots: 06 Salomon F20's - $229 (reg $399)

Jacket: Bonfire Blur 10k/10k- $125 (reg $300)

Googles: Oakley A Frames $109 (reg $159)

Gloves: Dakine w/Gore-Tex $45 (reg $89)

Helmet: 07 RED Trace - $89 tax in

After 4hrs and getting frustrated with the place packing up I didn't have the energy to find pants. But after calculating everything, I saved $700 compared to regular prices. Pretty sweet!

wow boardfest was soooo much fun even if i did go all the way up to milwaukee all by myself. i thought i wouldnt have a good time but i had the best time ever!!!! i saw my good friends from the ski chalet by my house and also got to hang out with DANBO, DAVE, BAYNE, JP, AND SKETCHY D. I got my new gear for snowboarding season my burton pants, jacket, hat, 3 dvds, and googles. It was sooo much fun the guys that run MODA 3 are like my brothers and they started making fun of me alot since i called them 2 days before with a question about the danny kass 155 board. since it was for my bestest friend ever and they didnt believe me at all they just told me that i just wanted to kiss him and stuff like that. I knew they where joking about it as they always do. the compition was amazing since it was skateboard biggest ollie comp it was cool. Paratice started for the competers and of course i knew some of them from last years comp. it got dark outside and the grenade rv finally came the guys threw out stickers and stuff which was soo much fun. i just watched the comp until they took a break for the burton fashion show and Dave Schiff( you should know who this is) was setting up the table where you could buy the cds and stuff like that. I made a t-shirt that says I love jersey and Danny(kass), Dave, Bayne, and Sketchy D all loved it super alot. It was so cool to hang out with them since they where the only ones that i really hung out with at night time. I meet jp walker and hes one of the nicest guys out there and the best jibber also. I had to be home by midnight so i had to say my goodbyes to everyone including the grenerds and my buddies from boardfest. sketchy d said "go say goodbye to dave before you leave," so i did. I did then dave grabbed my butt really hard the guys started laughing really hard. then on friday kristen and me went to chicago to the nitendo fusion tour to see fall out boy. i bought skitles, oreos, and carpi sun drinks for fall out boys merch friend DIRTY!!!! on the way in line kristen and me saw Plain White t's which was awesome. we waited in line to get some merch but it was too long, I also yelled super loud "Oh my god its fall out boy," and everybody turned around. hahahaha. the show was amazing except the part that starting line was playing. hehehee. kristen got hit in the head with a guitar pick from boys night out which was super funny. at the end of the show we went back to the merch table to see if dirty was there and he wasnt but there was another merch guy there he was super cool. i showed him the shirt that i made it said i love dirty and my life it was super awesome. i told him that i brought the oreos and we talked for awhile. the guy was soo awesome he gave me free clenstine sunglasses so i gave him a $6 tip cause he was soo awesome. I took really amazing pictures and i was soooo glad that kristen got to come with me to this. my uncle came and picked us up at the concert with my mom which was cool since i found out 3 days later that my cousin max used to go to school with Peter, Patrick, and Joe back in the day. now for today what a ****y day i had i feel like a good friend is using me and i dont like it at all. i asked two of my good friends about it and they told me what i should do so im going to do it tomarrow. my choirs teacher is the BIGGEST bitch ever i have conclused she has her favorites and it sucks cause she hates me alot. So i told my mom about it and she said that i should drop it and take my required classes so she fully supports me in this... well im super tired and i need to get ready for bed. peace. i'll post pictures sooon once i get my computer fixed.

Just because i have the title of "Moderator" does not mean i know everything, please do not ask me what the weather is going to be in a certain area wich i do not even live in. Also, it is great if you are buying a new board, boots, bindings, googles, long underwear, etc... HOWEVER if you do decide to ask me my oppinion on these types of things, remeber, i have not ridden every product in the world so it would not be wise to make your decision of what to buy based on my oppinion, you might want to ask multiple people as well as check out some reviews.

Just got back from Tahoe,super fun trip.I highly recommmend the place.Anyway a few fun things happened during the night life.I won the drunkest person award on the first night.Half a 60 of southern comfort,3/4 of a 26 of Jager and whatever else was handed to me.Very excessive indeed,I woke up duck taped to the bed (photos shortly).I'm not saying everyone should drink like this,in fact don't ever drink like this.I'm a rumming bastard that knows no limits.

surprisingly I woke up and rode the whole day at Alpine Meadows,no I couldn't drink the next night.I tired drinking I really did,have you heard of a Brown Cow???It's a girl drink drunk type of drink.Anyway lession learned,Justin won the drunk guy award of the night.not sure of the in take but he won hands down.He woke up to a rough love affair.got woke up by pillows,blankets and finally a log.Correct a log hit him,nice work guy from MNTL.We all round Alpine again,not sure how the hiking was I was on the other side of the mountian where the sun was.Pictures of the hike soon

Day 3 rode all day,had a great dinner then the drinking arrived.Brodie wins for guy with a drink in his hand always,but the night goes to Brooke our fallen Utah angel.She couldn't count here shots past 3 but just add a zero and that should make it right.highlights include caveman shotgun solo by me.Ask DK what it is.Apple bong not me.Kitchen Rave but I erased the footage (best part of the trip) besides riding of course.Spray painting asskicker (the offical trip title) on snowboards,burning of all none 32 boots,destroying all googles but Dragon.Winning $100.00 bucks US then losing $75.00 in one roll,Craig was happy.

Final day was at Squaw that place rules.Going back soon.Hoping to wait in the SF airport 3 hours for a 2 hour flight again

Adventures in SD coming next week.

Sunday Afternoon: Current song Niney Observer-Blood n' Fire..
Determination, and Stubbornness.
Journal Entry of a California Rider.
It's tough being a beach bum in my first full season out of the Pacific Northwest. the anticipation of winter was bad, but got worse as I see many of my friends already out getting turns in. Meanwhile, I'm on the beach BBq's and firepitt/movie night summer mode still.. I keep watching the webcams in Tahoe, Have organized the snowboard kit at least 3 times. Nik Waxxed the faithfull Bonfire coat. checked and rechecked my bases, googles.. Gore gloves, pipe gloves.. Just to get a partial fix. Went to a snowboard viddie premiere.. Burton's Process 4 was the flick. Maybe 30 people showed up.. In Seattle that would of been 350-500 and a line at the door.. See both the Jeremy Jones getting drunk on dark beer, Barret Christy, Templeton... And in the early years the late, but never forgotten Craig Kelly.
But, regardless of where I am geographically, I'll be up there. 8 hour drive one way weekends. Being home Sunday at midnight to be at work at 8. Everyones got addictions we just chose to place ours on this sport. Railing a huge pow turn, chest inches off the snow.. Just rippin' it.. Floating off wind lips into a sketchy foggy landing. Stomping it, realizing that you might need a new knee after that session. I love it.. I cannot wait to have my first 3:00 Okterberfest on the mountain.. I cannot wait for the stiffness and soreness, and all the bitching the lady will have to put up with.. See ya up there, hopefully sooner than later.. Have a great season!!
