I work in a chain store. shi*tty deal for me. Good deals on ok stuff and thats sweet for you. We get people who can't afford nice gear(quality) out on the hill for cheap. f*ckin eh. But those of you who can't afford the good stuff, and don't choose to slave for it, I beg you; Stop ARGUING with me. When you come into my store, if you know anything... like the slightest, tiniest tid bit of info, thats fine. I don't ride half the boards i sell, i've rode some. i will tell you that a $300 board isn't gonna handle the best at 60mph but you can still have fun on it, this is the best we got, this is the cheapest etc...
DON't go to the core shops oggle and drool, and then come to me and ARGUE specs, what a board is good for, or how it rides, how f*cking dope burton's new shi*t is and why pow is better than park(!?) boooo f*ckin Hoooooooooooo we don't carry top end. We carry whats called price point. cheap enough for Mom and Dad with a lil somethin extra for me and the kid to talk'em into at the end. Weeeeeeeeoooooooow upsaling is fun. Don't make my life hard just to justify buying something at a chain store. you know it, i know it. There is better stuff out there. I don't got it because it costs more. In the end just buy it or dont get it or get out... see ya on the hill...

ps. Don't come to me and trash a board or boards and then let me catch you in park hitting the easy side of everything and then out of bounds feathering out turns and my landings away!
thx.

Stupid thing: South Lake and Steak
By: konk

Man you'd never know we were in such a down economy because Ashley and I are doing great at work and have been to Tahoe more this year than EVER.  Just got back from South Lake where we got a two bedroom suite right next to the Casinos for 100 bucks with tax.  It's good to have a job where all your clients are in Tahoe.  Rode the big H again, total spring conditions, 60 degrees plus, and then ended the day at "Steak and Brew" which is such a good restaurant to chill at!  We even took the kids and they got to sled and make snowmen.  Tahoe was amazingly dead, the only upside is that the deals are EVERYWHERE and the slopes were chill.  Even the Casino was mellow- ahhh good times had by all.

So... my girlfriend is coming to stay with me for a week.we were having some problems so we decided that it might help if we took a break to relax and clear our heads. Anyway.. it's been working in our favor..... it's still hard.. but i think it was a good idea.

I now have a plan I think.... and it's wierd.. because none of it directly deals with her and I...

I'm quitting smoking cigarettes... by eating right, working out constantly, and not drinking coffee or alchohol. I'm too poor for all that snazzy stuff that is supposed to miraculously make you quit smoking.

I'm also searching like mad for a job and place to live in Madison.
I've got college in a few months, so that's another swift kick in the ass to get going.

I'm also taking a step to help curb my depression... I've surrounded myself with supportive people and again.. not drinking(so much... a beer with dinner sometimes), I'm not being such a damn pothead(although smoking herbs helps).. and again.. I'm excercising.

Both Casie and I are also trying really hard to help eachother realize that we both are at fault here for our problems together, so instead of us blowing up... we have been just letting the other vent until we(she or I) is done.. then calmly talking to eachother about it.

I like this plan.. because it's working.

I feel better, she feels better.. and now I think that this next week will go much more smoothly, and we will both be alright again.

I am in love.... i never thought that it would happen again after jess... but then again.. I'm only 22.. and I'll be 23 next month.

good job team.

oh yeah, and I'm being confirmed this weekend, and my family is flying out here from California... I'm pretty stoked... oh.. and casie is going to meet my whole family.
I'm so glad that they all love her.

my sisters and her and my mom all get along so well.. it's almost creepy.

sweet.

Alright, so the whole whining rant about what life's about was depressing me, and it is the new year for God's sake, so in honor of 2007, and preparation of 2008, I figured it was worth mentioning some of 07's biggest deals...

1) Sam's contest to see who could get the 10,000th view on his page.
2) Whit and Becka go to Europe!
3) We have a mass migration to Colonies.com, and therefore adopt the colonies retards as our own.
4) The return of daffy to his regular slacker status.
5) Sb.com as we know it ceases to exist.
6) The epic "Hottest guys and gals of Colonies.com" contest.
7) Tim finally get's his Australian butt to America.
8) 36 Hours of Keystone, 2007.  I wasn't there but it certainly does get an honorable mention.
9) The lovely battle with the infamous retard, export.
10) Congratulations to Heather, who is now the proud mommy of a beautify baby girl.

Meh, just a couple of the headliners, but when you rock as much as we do, its hard to be super amazing all the time.

Chicago, IL (PRWeb) March 13, 2007 -- MIke needed an extreme sports website like this.  A huge winter and action sports fan, he spent months searching for the best undiscovered powder for his annual spring vacation.

"I scanned through dozens of websites but couldn't connect with anyone to tell me about the best undiscovered runs.  I knew that there had to be a way to get hardcore snowboarders like me and other action sports enthusiasts together."

Recognizing the entrepreneurial opportunity to create that solution, Mike created http://www.SoulSherpas.com [Soul Sherpas] as the first real guide for the action sports community.   Think of it as a social network where you can interact with other extreme sports enthusiasts.

SoulSherpas.com is the first extreme sports website to bring action sports enthusiasts from around the world together in a comprehensive, all-inclusive community.

This cool social network features great video, interaction and the hottest gear for snowboarders, skateboarders, surfers, BMX riders, and other extreme sports enthusiasts across the planet.

According to Sturman, "SoulSherpas.com is all about connections and the inside scoop.  Not only have we created the first action sports community where hardcore action sports enthusiasts can hang out and meet new people with similar interests, but we've created a site where you can share and talk about the best of what's undiscovered."

SoulSherpas.com users easily create profiles, dialog and post pictures.  Dozens of underground videos are viewable on the site.  Site users also get great deals on snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing, BMX and other extreme and action sports gear in the SoulSherpas.com store.

For more information, please visit www.SoulSherpas.com or soullsherpas@gmail.com

Soulsherpas.com is the only true action sports community designed purely for those who live life to the fullest.  This all inclusive site not only allows you to interact with other riders though forums, blogs, chats, and video but also to shop for the hottest gear.  So, if you are a skater, snowboarder, bmx rider, surfer, or an extreme sports enthusiast looking for a place to chill and meet new people you have come to the right place.

The Rugged Riders Tricks R4 Chicks snowboard camp presented by Roxy was four days of explosive energy, determination and pure ruggedness. TR4C set a precedent in eastern Canada as the first, the one and the only, all girls snowboard camp. Mont-Blanc Ski Resort hosted the camp in the private TR4C snowboard park designed with Rugged Riders panel of women shredders and carefully constructed with the Mont-Blanc park rangers and Rugged Staff.

The journey began with pick-ups…rallying girls together at their closest Axis boardshops and then loading them into the Rugged Mobile. TR4C gathered girls from as far as Barrie, Ontario and Lac St-Jean, Quebec. From there we headed to the park to see what would be called home for the next four days. With two super smooth booters and a diversity of jibs there was something for everyone. The TR4C private park was the perfect design for learning, and learn we did…

Four days of thirty girls owning the private TR4C park was more than enough to pump up the girls to learn new tricks and make new friends. The girls exceeded everyone’s expectations and were progressing at a rate so fast that we could hardly keep up with them! Even the pros were surprised. Amber Stackhouse and Alexis Waite the TR4C guest pro riders camp had never seen a group of girls so motivated and rugged when it came to riding and learning in a camp atmosphere.

The beginner freestylers were quickly doing big airs, 180 spins and frontside boardslides while the more experienced riders were practicing their cab 3’s and 540’s or learning steezy tricks on the street rail.

After a day on the hill we loaded the Rugged Mobile and headed to camp for some good home-cooked meals, and extra activities. Nighttime was the perfect chance to learn how to crochet, skateboard, give massages, rock climb or have water fights while doing the dishes! The evenings were also the perfect time for the Rugged Crew to take a trip to the spa and chill out in the hot tub, steam baths and sauna.

All the girls left with goodies bags from Roxy and Axis Boardshop. They also benefited from great deals on SBC subscriptions, and prizes from DC and APO snowboards.

The Tricks R4 Chicks Camp had it all; experienced and certified coaches, guest pro-riders, a private park, awesome food and tons of girls that were truly rugged and ready to shred. We couldn’t have asked for a better group of girls, a nicer park or a more fabulous four days together.

For girls ready to shred…we will see you at the Rugged Riders Jump’N Grind event on March 10th. For girls who are interested in some rugged snowboard coaching…they can contact info@ruggedriders.com.
