The SpringBreak-Camp:

This exclusive Spring Camp pushes Snowboarders and Freeskiers to their Freestyle-Limits and beyond! Ride the slushy kickerline and hit the exclusive BAGJUMP Megabag. The Riders can practice in the ‘By Pros for Pros’ shaped SprinBrea-K-Park (Funpark Kühtai) with 2 Tabletops (2x15 Meter), a Spine-Hip and a Pro Rail-line. On top of this everyone can try new tricks into the BAGJUMP MegaBag located right by the Chill Area at the Liftentrance. The exclusive BAGJUMP MegaBag is a never seen before feature on the SpringBreak where Snowboarders and Freeskiers can try new tricks like Double-, Tripple-Corks, flips and spins in any variation. Because of the unique Chamber-&-Air-Release-Safety-System you can go for any trick you ever dreamed of because it doesn’t matter how you land! Go way f%&@ing harder than you’ve ever gone & you’ll even live to tell about it! Grab a Red Bull and eat your BBQ/Grill in the BAGJUMP MegaBag-Area. Chill in loungechairs while listening to sound mixed by DJ SEREN on the Red Bull Event Car. Experience the new limits of freestyle snowboarding & freeskiing!

Another highlight at the Springbreak are 4 special Backcountry obstacles by IOU-Snow built throughout the resort Kühtai for the Film & Foto Award. These 4 Spots are ‘unbranded’ and can be used for any kind of foto and film shooting. The obstacles fit to the natural terrain in a special way and the set up is guaranteed for some never seen before action. The K-Park,BAGJUMP-MegaBag, the 4 special obstacles and of course the rest of the whole resort Kühtai are the Playground for the Film & Foto Award presented by TVB-Kühtai.

During the Springbreak week there will be 2 NL Holdem-Pokertournaments with Cashprizes (Monday 7th April and Friday 11th April, 3pm at the BAGJUMP Chill-Area) and daily new Mini-Contests with Prizes. On this feature everyone has the chance to win prizes from our sponsors (Völkl Snowboard, Völkl Freeskis, Gravis Backpacks, etc.). Daily Mini-Contests will be announced a day before they will be executed at the Office@Schirm by the Dreiseenbahn / Kühtai, Office@Marlstein and on the BAGJUMP.com website. Our own Poker-room will be open daily for games. Or hang out in the Riders-Lounge with Plasma-TV, Homecinema, XBOX360, over 200 DVDs and Sound by DJ SEREN. At night you can party hard at the Bagjump parties in Hotel Marlstein or just relax in the Sauna and Wellness.

Furthermore the campers and daily visitors have the possibility to test the 2009 Völkl Snowboards and Völkl Freeskis at the teststands by the MegaBag Chill-Area. There you can also sign up for the ProCoaching presented by the Völkl International ProSnowboard and ProFreeski Team. Videocoaching for everyone on the BAGJUMP-MegaBag will be analyzed daily in Hotel Marlstein before Dinner.

This is a great challenge for filmers, photographers and riders to get the best Picture, Sequence and 3min VideoClip shot anywhere in the whole resort Kühtai during the SpringBreak-week!

The Foto Award

Every participating Photographer is shooting 1-6 days in the whole resort Kühtai with Snowboarders and/or Freeskiers.  Every participating photographer can hand in his/her best 5 pictures/sequences. All pictures handed in must be taken during the SpringBreak week and from the whole Resort Kühtai. Hand in deadline is Sunday the 13^th of April 5pm. The pictures will be judged by Richard Walch (professional Photographer), Sami Tuoriniemi (senior editor Onboard) and Markus Fischer (senior editor Pleasure). Every Judge can give a maximum of 50 points per picture. Winner is the Picture with the most points out of 150 and will be posted on www.BAGJUMP.com.

The Film Award

Every participating Filmer is shooting 1 to 6 days in the whole resort Kühtai with Snowboarders and/or Freeskiers.  Every participating filmer can hand in his/her best 3-Minute Video Clip. The whole Clip which is handed in must be taken during the SpringBreak week and from the whole Resort Kühtai. Hand in deadline is Sunday the 13^th of April 5pm. The Clip will be judged by Helge Zirkl (Playboard), Richard Prendergast (Method.TV) and Christian Miessner (Shralp). Every Judge can give a maximum of 50 points per Clip. Winner is the Clip with the most points out of 150 and will be posted on www.BAGJUMP.com.

The Canadian Snowboard Federation would like to invite you to showcase 

your talent. The CSF will be hosting two halfpipe selection contests on the 

22nd and 23rd of January 2008 at Cypress Mountain, home of the 2010 

Olympic Halfpipe event. 

Get the chance to compare yourself against the best halfpipe riders in 

Canada. You also get the chance to grab a spot for the next four (4) World 

Cups. All spots are open and up for grabs whether you are part of the 

Nationals team, the National Development Group, a professional team or a 

snowboard club. 

Podium on the first day and you get an automatic entry to the World Cups in 

Korea, Japan, Calgary and Stoneham. The remaining spots will be awarded on 

the second day. There will be a weather day on the 24th. 

If you are unable to attend the contests because you are participating at 

the up coming X-Games Halfpipe contest, you get an automatic in. 

The riders who qualify for the World Cups will have to meet the Halfpipe 

CSF minimum standards prior to departure (http://www.csf.ca/File/SelectionProtocol%20-

VAIL MOUNTAIN SET TO GROW TO 550 ACRES AND 14 LIFTS ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 1st

VAIL, Colo.—Nov. 29, 2007— Winter has returned to the Colorado High Country and thanks to a series of recent snowstorms and cold snowmaking temperatures, Vail Mountain is set to open additional terrain this weekend. On Saturday, Dec. 1 the resort plans to offer more than 550 acres of terrain accessed by 14 lifts.

Beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007 the following lifts and portions of terrain in these areas will open for the 2007-2008 ski season.

• Mountaintop Express Lift (Chair 4)
• Game Creek Express Lift (Chair 7)
• Born Free Express Lift (Chair 8)

• 3 Beginner Surface Lifts (at Eagle’s Nest, LionsHead and Golden Peak)

Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy lunch on the mountain at Eagle’s Nest Marketplace, The Pavilion at Wildwood, Buffalo’s at the top of Chair 4, and the Look Ma and Terrace levels at Mid Vail. The Vail Snowsports School will expand its locations for adult private and group instruction to the Vail Village and Mid Vail locations in addition to Vail Square/ Lionshead. Vail Snowsports children’s group and private lessons will be offered at Golden Peak and will continue at the Vail Square/ Lionshead location. The Small World Nursery at Golden Peak provides childcare for ages 2 months to 6 years. Lift tickets will be $72 for adults, $62 for seniors and $52 for children as of Saturday, Dec. 1.

Vail Snow Daze takes place Dec. 3-9, 2007 featuring live concerts with Ziggy Marley at Dobson Ice Arena on Dec. 6, followed by Social Distortion on Dec. 7.  Ludacris and The Roots take center stage Dec. 8 for an outdoor concert at Ford Park.  Also don't miss the Dummy Gelunde Championships on Dec. 8, snowball eating contests, a fashion show, and 1,000 Snowflakes of Vail throughout the week.  Check out the schedule at vailsnowdaze.com. Basic info, where were you born, where you living,  age, and sponsors?

I was born in Leduc Alberta February 5th 1984.... that would make me 23. I ride for Billabong, Sapient, Smith and Level Gloves.

How has your season treated you this year?

My season was awesome. I rode a lot of pow. A couple minor injuries but that's ok. It’s a part of the game.

You have a sled yet?

Ya, I got a 99 Summit 670. I LOVE SLEDDING.

Do you plan on getting more into the backcountry next year?

Ya ... All I want to do is sled. Its so much better then snowboarding anywhere I've been.

Give me a percentage breakdown on your snowboarding: contest, traveling, urban missions, filming, backcountry, mellow shredding (park), whatever floats your boat, etc.....

Plans for the summer?

Work, try to make money to buy a truck. Of course hit up camp a bit, hit a few street rails in Van, and skate and wakeskate whenever possible.

Rail missions in winter or summer? Why?

I like rail missions in the summer mostly because Vancouver never gets snow and if they have snow that usually means that the mountain is going to be so much sicker than some street rail.

What do you do to get the bills paid?

I drive taxi for Resort Cabs here in Whistler... if you ever need a cab Request Warren.

Who do you ride with?

Anyone that calls me in the morning.

What pisses you off?

Waiting for people, sleds that don't work, negative people, people that back out of missions, cops and Rent-a-cop’s.

What gets you pumped?

Good Friends, Good attitude, Good Conditions, Good music. Anything good.

Have you heard of Gromfest?  We’re a grassroots skate and snow competition that takes all of the proceeds from our event and donates them to non-profits that use board sports to benefit kids.  Gromfest happens at Whistler in the summer with the skate competitions happening at Squamish skate park and the snow competitions happening on Camp of Champions terrain up on Blackcomb’s glacier.  This comp is all about the love of the sports…our competitors are there because they love to ride and want to compete against kids from all over North America.
