While chatting with a girlfriend of mine, I realized how many "preventative measures" modern youth (most frequently females) are taking these days against sexually transmitted diseases and other health related issues that are most commonly associated with sex.  Examples, teenage girls are encouraged to recieve the "Gurdasil" vaccine which prevents certain types of HPV that have been linked with cervical cancer.   Just as many are going on birth control not only in order to prevent accidental pregnancies but also because it regulates hormones and reduces menstrual aches.  Adolescent specialists are asking if patients if they wish to be prescribed  "PlanB", more commonly known as "The Morning After Pill" (Alright, I lied, all of these are female issues, sorry guys).  Now, with studies showing the sexual activity amongst teens is actually decreasing (from 53 to 47 percent in ten years) as well as teen pregnancies declining (down 27.4% as of 2000, the lowest it's been in the US since 1976), why is it that there is such a push upon young girls to take such measures?  I understand the obvious benefits, no one wants to contract cervical cancer or anything of the like, but sometimes I feel as if society is assuming that we're going to do something we'll later regret.  I can appreciate the concept of "better safe then sorry", but Jesus, can that not be adhered to without screwing up my hormonal composition?

couldnt think of a name for this
let me kno if u think of anything...

A heart can only hold so much,
Till it fills and explodes with love.
When there’s nothing for a heart to hold,
You can’t help but look above.
Coming with questions,
Looking for answers.
But darkness is all I see,
Sadness like a deadly cancer.
As time continues to move,
Alone I stay.
As the day turns to night.
Lost alone I stay.
I don’t know where to go,
I don’t know where to turn.
I don’t know where to stop,
Someone to love is all I yearn.
I put out my hand,
Waiting for someone to grab it.
All I am asking for,
Is someone to hold it.
Will you hold my hand,
Make everything better again?
End all my heartache,
End all my pain

Summer is almost over and I for one and pretty stoked. Don't get me wrong, I love the warm weather and all the debauchery that comes with it but after 2-3 months of dealing with stupid tourists, I'm ready for things to cool off around here. The good side of it is that we're less than 100 days away from snowboard season. Big White officially opens in 84 days according to my calendar. I'm hoping to get a pass there again this year but it'll require some serious condo buying to get that done...I've got the parents convinced that it's a good investment but not sure if everyone can afford it at this point. If that falls through, Tori and I will give the Apex scene a shot. At least there's a lot less driving involved even though I'm pretty sure the road to Apex is one of the 7 deadliest objects known to man (right behind cancer but slightly ahead of a dog raised by Michael Vick).

In other news, I've been neglecting Stomp pretty big time all summer. I'm supposed to finish this years movies on Saturday but I haven't even started it yet. Can you say Christmas deadline?!? We didn't get as much footage this year though so it'll probably suck more than usual. The site is behaving badly to and seems to have some sort of snowboard sex ad on it right now. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to can the whole thing. To much effort at this point. Ah well. It's been a fun ride. Maybe we'll keep it going on more of an underground level.

See you when the snow starts to fly.

So, we just got back from Indy...we went there earlier this morning to watch the Formula 1 Qualifications, and whatever else was happening today...

I learned several things during the trip:
1) Bring EARPLUGS---unless you want to be deaf by the time you leave...
2) Wear SUNBLOCK (if you don't get a shaded seat)---unless you want to roast that badly (and get skin cancer >.>)...
3) Bring lots of WATER---you might not die of skin cancer, but dehydration can still kill
4) Try the soft FROZEN LEMONADE---they're 4 bucks, but they're in a cup, and not as sweet as the ice cream (which is sold for the same price)---plus, there's more in it, so you can enjoy longer ^.^

Oh, and some Nascar stuff went on too, but I don't really like Nascar, so >.>

Posh, for the BMW thing, I was really rooting for Gutierrez, but he only got 3rd place *pout* oh well...but the other guy I was rooting for got 1st place =)

And I think Hamilton got first place...woot him---some of the other drivers are getting pretty old though >.>

On a completely different note...I've finished the weasel quest in Harvest Moon (without meaning to! lol)---I was really trying to finish the horse race, but nope, didn't work out that way...so I'm working on that right now (2 more days and I would've finished the horse race, and saved the village! rawr!!!)...oh yeah, I also have 200,000 now =3

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE KIDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE

1920's, 30's 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's !!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us and lived in houses made of asbestos.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes or cervical cancer.

Then after that trauma, our baby cribs were covered with bright colored lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets or shoes, not to mention, the risks some of us took hitchhiking.

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.

Riding in the back of a pickup truck on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.

Take away food was limited to fish and chips, no pizza shops, McDonalds, KFC, Subway or Red Rooster.

Even though all the shops closed at 6.00pm and didn't open on the weekends, somehow we didn't starve to death!

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.

We could collect old drink bottles and cash them in at the corner store and buy Fruit Tingles and some fire crackers to blow up frogs and lizards with.

We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank soft drinks with sugar in it, but we weren't overweight because......

WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. We built tree houses and cubby houses and played in creek beds with matchbox cars.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, Xboxes, no video games at all, no 99 channels on cable, no video tape or DVD movies, no surround sound, no mobile  phones, no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat rooms..........WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no Lawsuits from these accidents.

Only girls had pierced ears!

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.

You could only buy Easter Eggs and Hot Cross buns at Easter time.......no really!

We were given BB guns and sling shots for our 10th birthdays,

We drank milk laced with Strontium 90 from cows that had eaten grass covered in nuclear fallout from the atomic testing at Maralinga in 1956.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just yelled for them!

Mum didn't have to go to work to help dad make ends meet!

Footy had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!

Our teachers used to belt us with big sticks and leather straps and bully's always ruled the playground at school.

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

Our parents got married before they had children and didn't invent stupid names for their kids like "Kiora" and "Blade".....

This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever!

The past 70 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned

HOW TO

DEAL WITH IT ALL!

And YOU are one of them!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it?!

"And I looked and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was death, and hell followed with him"
Revelations Chapter 6 Verse 8

A white horse: The first seal is opened a white horse appears, it's rider holding a bow (conquest). It can be interpreted that the first horse appears as White due to deceit and the rider is said to be a false prophet.

A red horse: Second seal is opened and appears a red horse, Its rider given a sword (war), and the power to take peace from the earth and make men kill eachother.

A black horse: The third seal is opened. It's rider holds a pair of scales (famine). Symbolizing a scarcity of food.

A pale horse: Fourth seal opened, a pale horse appears. It's rider is called death. Wrought pestilence to the world.

Terrifyling that all four of these things take place all over the world everyday. The white horse?? Bush? Saddam? God (causes war)?  A red horse, pretty obvious... there are currently wars all over the planet: Ireland, Israel, Korea etc...   A black horse, famine seems to be everyware and will only worsen with global warming Drought, flooding, typhoons, etc. And pestilence... which got me started on this in the first place. Not since Yersinia Pestis or the Bubonic plague, has there been so much death due to natural disease. Cancer of every sort. An estimated 153,100 new cases of cancer and 70,400 deaths will occur in Canada in 2006. As well as AIDS, currently in Africa there are 24,500,000 people living with HIV, 2 million of which are children.

The world is turning into shi*t cause hardly anyone is doing anything about it, Including me but I am changing that. Do what you can, which is exactly what I am doing. Go to school for something that can make a difference (if money is your main goal, then your problem right), if school is not an option then educate yourself. STOP CONSUMING! All the shi*t we buy just ends up in dumps anyways, for example don't get a new winter jacket or snowboard if your old ones not broken, completly out of pop or no longer waterproof... trendy shi*t won't matter when we live in a massive lava pit. Recycle. Use biodegradable products. Support small business, DON'T GO TO FLIPPIN' STARBUCKS, I know they make good stuff but it's the principle of it. Vote. Plant a tree. Plant a hundred trees. Fundraise with whatever your good at, and fly to some under developed country and help them out, condoms or teach them how to be self-sustainable. Learn about another culture, put yourselves in their shoes. Walk, don't drive... or look into bio-diesel for your truck. Put a compost bucket under your sink. Minimize your water use, our culture uses ridiculous amounts: 10+ minute showers and cleaning your clothes everytime you wear them is NOT NECESSARY!

blah blah blah

Ok for anyone who doesnt know I am a book freak I love to read. Just recantly I finied a 552 pg book in 3 days which is not uncommon for me, what was, was how the book affected me. This was anawesome book, actualy it was 3 in one it was called The Angels Trilogy. It was sad and delt with heavy stuff that we all ave to deal with but it was happy at the same time. I,ve never had a book ake ne queston what I wanted for myself or who I was. Even though this was not based on a true story if felt real. I have recently been trying to avoid questions i've had about my life and my future i was getting good at it to be honest and then this book threw them right bk at me which WASNT  bad thing actually. It helped me relize that nomatter what I can make it. Alot of people don share in my reigion but I am a chrisitan I find my self wondering and paying about why god lead me to this book and what im sapoused to be doing now. Never in my life have I been so unsure about what to do but felt so much comfort and ease at the same time. This book or books tuch on everything, happiness, sadness, life, love, hope, faith, trust, lies, life, and death and evrything in between. But it was the best book I hve ever read and I know no book but one could come higher. I foud my sef facing alot of the isue the girl did with loving someone from a different backround then my self. My boyfriend isnt amish so we dont really have same issues but the basic concept is the same. For anyone who likes to read i recomand this book. There are 3 setpeat stories in it "Angels Waching Over Me" "Lifted Up By Angels" and "Untill Angels Close My Eyes" Its about a girl who has been told she has cancer, She ends up with a little amish girl  a roommate in the hospital. Its a really good book I couldnt put it down. I could sit here and blog about it till the days end and i could not give it the justice it deserves. Read it for your self.

On Friday, Jan. 27th, I had a biopsy because of elevated PSA reading. You can imagine how that felt. The doctor said to take it easy for two hours then I could do anything. So I went to work for two hours and then went boarding the rest of the day at Timberline.

The following Wednesday the doctor called with the results. I had prostate cancer. Ouch!! I wanted to throw up and get it out but of course thats not possible. It appears they caught it early and he recommended surgery. He also referred me to another doctor who has a very good reputation. That appointment is Feb. 26th.

The exact course of action is yet  to be decided but I want the shi*t out of me as quickly as possible. The consequences of any of the procedures are not all that great but I can live with those as the goal is to survive and thrive and of course to keep boarding.

After doing a lot of research, talking with others who had PC and talking with a few doctors it looks like in my case surgery is the best procedure. That is now scheduled for March 27th. It is called LAPAROSCOPIC RADICAL PROSTATECTOMY WITH A REMOTE CONTROLLED ROBOT. Now thats having faith!!! The procedure offers the same success as full surgery or radiation but with perhaps less side affects. I can even return to boarding sooner although was caution about jumps and bumps.
Doc said to use all the style that a 55 year old can muster.

A couple of final physicals before the surgery, one routine one at the hospital and one at the doctors office. There the young, attractive nurse said to remove everything below the waste. She then ask if I ever had this done ( a cystoscopy a telescopic inspection of the bladder and the urethra) before. Nope can't say I have done that before. First she had to clean me so I was sterile. I had to concentrate to avoid a reaction as she was washing you know what. However that excitement quickly ended when she put some numbing cream into my ureatha. I hope it was as good for her as it was for me. The doctor then came in and did the procedure but admitted the numbing agent only works to a certain point. The good new everything looked good ... no sign of stones or tumors in the bladder.

The big day (Tuesday, March 27th) has arrive and I'm pretty relax and have the ipod going. Probably going boarding 4 out of the last 6 days had something to do with that. They put the mask on and I'm put for several hours. Actually about three hours of surgery and then recovery. When I wake up I notice the catheter is in me, which is a good sign, because of the cancer has spread then they do not take the prostate out and there would be no peeing into the tube. The doctors says the next day everything looked good as the glands were clean, the cancer which turn out to be on both sides of the prostrate was clear of the walls and appear to be contained. Finally got to go home on Friday although still on that liquid diet.

Following orders and just taking it easy, drinking liquids and goings for numerous short walks as I carry my bladder bag. Got the catheter and staples out the following Monday by that same pretty nurse. Doctor showed up and said I could get dress. Immediately after standing up I pissed on the floor just like a puppy. Doc said that was pretty much normal but I would regain control in a few months. Then he discuss penis rehabilitation.  Oh great!!  After this type of surgery old Mr. Happy is not so happy. The process affects a lot of muscles, nerves, etc in that area. So I get the little blue pills and a penis pump to make sure there is no scar tissue. Who needs scar tissue. I'll just do what the doc says.

Improving each day. Started readings e-mails the week after the surgery and then a little work at home. Started back to work part time after two weeks and currently almost full time. Finally got to go boarding last Friday, April 27th. Exactly one month after surgery. Only for two hours but you got to start somewhere. The doc said it was OK as long as you stay away from the bumps and of course jumps. Probably will go again this week after we get some more snow.

Next visit to the doctors is in a month where there will test my PSA again. That will happen several times in the next few years to ensure the cancer is cured.

Hey everyone this is my first blog, and  well i havent been on here in a while so im gonna post my wonders about life and if you want you can answer em.The first thing im gonna complain about is GOD and RELIGON.

God, is there such a thing? Like Praying what does it do. I dont beileve in prayer or a god , God f*cks everything up. Like if you pray and pray you give up things, donate your time God doesnt help someone you care for strongly. I prayed and rayed for my uncle and he died a couple months after same thing with my grandfather. They BOTH died of cancer.

The next topic im gonna tackle  is the EMO label inflicted on people because they dress and act differently .

Emo= Music Genre Bands such as ---> Good Charlotte, My Chemical Romance, The Used, And Fall Out Boy Are all bands who may fall under this catagory. The emo everyone assumes thats "emo"  is someone who wears band shirts, black, tight clothing, ankle huging jeans, and studded belts. and is awfully depressed.  So emo is a music genre never forget that.!

Why are guys so shallow? Well I figure its the media, and porn.  People in the media make people more shallow which inturn makes them only like people who they like in the media . Which most of those people are fake anyway. It just doesnt make sense

Let me kno whatcha think

"I'm dreaming of white Christmas. Just like the one i used to know... "
Then again, which crazy, wild snowboarder isn't? In my opinion, this winter is just completely rediculous. Tempurature's are just 1- 2 below zero, if it snows, it is not cold enough to accumulate and stick to the ground. In the mean time, all of you in Colorado and B.C are getting tons of it. Lucky you! Here we are scared out of our minds of global-warming. But think about it; where there should be snow, there is none, and where the should not be snow, there is! How crazy is that? I know you are all thinking, " What in the world can we do about it?" Uh, yeah about that, a whole lot let me tell you. Ok, so what is one person going to do on her lonesome self? I can try something out. Global-Warming. Did anyone ever watch the movie, " The Day After Tomorrow"? That's why I thouhgt. The whole movie is about the change in mood of the world. Snow in Mexio, California, and scorching heat way up in the Yukon Territories causing the glaciers to melt, flood the golbe, then Freeze up again. At the end of the movie, how many survivors were there? Close to a dozen right? Far fetched and over exaggereated you think? So do I because it's a movie, but if no one just tries a little bit to help diminish polution and what not, the globe will be flooded and we will all die in the next hundred years. Well, not us, but our great granchildren and their families. Now, whether I'll be dead or not, I wound't want the rest of the living human and animal population to be washed out. It is scary. So think about this, considereing how the world is turing out not, how expensive the gas prices are, the next time you need to head out to the corner store, TAKE A MOTHER F****ING WALK!!! We need the excercise, and we all complain bc it is costing us over 100$ of gas a week. Also, the majority of North-America's population is obese. You do the math.

This to me is unbelieveable. I may not have covered a lot of points, but in your prayers you pray for the Canadian, and American soldiers in Iraq and the Middle East. They are trying to keep the peace. Unfortunately it's getting even worse. Think about how much we hate our governments. If the right people were in power, the world would be in a better position right? I say the poloticians, canadian and american alike have their pro's, and con's. They are trying their best, and with the rest of the population criticizing them, nothing will get better. Just think of that. Think how you would do in you president's, or our prime miniter's shoes. How much better do you think you are? I tip my hat to them. Even though, life is a b!tch, and it suckes real hard, even though taxes are high, they are also trying to keep the peace, and do something about the planet itself. It is melting down. Literally. So, next time you feel the need to complain, remember me. Remember this blog. And try something to help. Car pools, public trans., bike, walk anything. I don't live in this world alone, and neither do the rest of you. Help yourselves out also, slowly we are dying. All this polution is causing so many epidemics. SARS, the avian flu, cancer... I can't think of anything else. Just think before acting.

Tell me, who does this? What guy who claims hes soooo in loooove with you yada yada goes and tells your two best friends in the whole world that hes gonna break up with you and thinks that they're gonna be ok with it? That its not gonna bother them? oh yeah, he did. Bastard. Then.....goes back to Nova Scotia and breaks it off over the phone!!! no, not in person like any decent human being would. Over the phone. Way to treat your gf of 3+ years, the one who stayed up countless saturday nights into the wee hours of the morning trying to calm you down after youve gotten yourself drunk and crying thinking about your dying mom. The one who was there for you and talked you out of tboughts of leaving this world after she died. The one who understood what you were going through when my own mom was diagnosed with a terminally ill cancer. But apparently thats not enouph? You couldnt hack it up here, when i started to go through what you were going through. I could handle it but you couldnt. I thought we were supposed to get through things together? work things out, help eachother along. So when we hit a rough spot, we'd get over it, just another bump in the road in the relationship. Right? Apparently not. you always said you didnt want me to run away from my problems by going with him back to ns. That i should face them head on, and that things will get worse before it starts to look up. So then, tell me, what did you do when things got worse, and i depended on you more then ever? you f*ck off to nova scotia, leaving my friends with the burden of knowing that it was over between us, but me just thinking it was another bump that we could get through. Well, whos running away from their problems now huh? can't handle when things go a bit sour. I was there for you, but you can't be there for me.
You once told me that you didnt know how you'd ever get over me because this relationship was so much more then anything else he's ever felt before.
Well, id say when i havent talked to you in over a month, you're over it.
f*ck you tim.

So yeah, im just a tad bit bitter still.
