My Blog: Broken bones @ Norway

Well we went to ride @ Norway on Saturday. We were there about 15 minutes on our seconds run when One of my sons friends went down hard. The kid (Matt) already had a broken right hand. So we had to take him to the hospital. after being there six hours we finally knew for sure that he had broken his collar bone. I'll post up x-rays later. It's a pretty sick break, it broke completely in half. He was in a lot of pain. So needless to say we really didn't get to ride that day. O well there's always next weekend.

Cruising home from the bar last night, riding my skate, listening to some tunes on the ipod--

BAM!! next thing you know I'm picking gravel out of my ass. Definitely broke my collar bone. Had to walk home and every step, I could feel the ends of the bone grinding against each other. I also whacked my head pretty good. By the time I got home, it looked like my conjoined twin sprouting out of my head.

My Blog: Things To Do Before You Die

I swear this is original, with help from my friends (and maybe family)...

Here is my list of (RANDOM and POINTLESS) Things To Do Before You Die:

1) Poke someone with a chicken fry...

the funnest thing ever, especially if they're not expecting it

2) Cross dress for an ENTIRE day...

I bet girls would have no problem with this, but with guys...now THAT'S something worth seeing

3) Win a wrestling match against someone twice your size...

Okay, please be careful on this one...we don't want any broken bones now, do we? Anyway...it's so much fun to sit on them after you win...AHAHAHAHA!

4) Make a music video of your favorite song with your friends...

I haven't done this yet, but it sounds like a lot of fun

5) Not talk at all for an entire day.

Unless, of course, absolutely necessary: teacher calls on you, emergency, etc.

Colonies.com Network Wide News: New Pollution

Many young riders today aren’t simply imitating their heroes, they’re often the ones evolving their sport the most – leaving the established pros to catch up or pack up. These kids are what New Pollution is all about.

Each half-hour episode will feature 3 of the best young athletes from across the core action sports realm: surf, snow, skate, bmx, fmx, and wake. Since the age range of our riders is 16 and under, they might not always be old enough to drive a car, but they can probably air over one.

Hosted by professional surfer Matt Beacham, New Pollution will bring viewers into the world of these amazing athletes. Do they go to school like most kids, or are they home-schooled? How did they get so good at such a young age? How do they (and their parents) deal with broken bones? With contests 8 hours away? With traveling around the country, and sometimes the world, before their voice cracks? What music do they listen to? What movies do the like? What websites do they visit everyday? Viewers will find out as we give them a slice of life from these young riders’ lives… not to mention action footage that will blow more than a few minds.

New Pollution begins airing December 31^st, with a new episode coming each Sunday for 13 weeks.

My Journal: Auf Wiedersehen!!!!!!

Well, the day has ALMOST arrived! Tomorrow at this time, I will be on a plane heading to Austria for the longest vacation I've had since I was in High School.......a very long time ago. The snow there has been little but the good news is, it looks like I'll be bringing some of our fab Northwest snow with me. The conditions here in Washington have been amazing and I wish I had more time in Dec to enjoy it, but I'm sure all my friends will be up on the MT enjoying the pow-pow for me while I'm gone. Anyway, just wanted to wish everyone a great New Year and I'll be back Jan 21st to take advantage of the snow we have in our own "back yard". Till then, Take Care and no broken bones.....or dislocated shoulders!!!

My daddy wasnt the best that he coukd be i dont kno if he did but i think he did weed .Cause he never payed child support and there were tons of police reports.

He would get high and never say goodbye He would come home real late .And go on to many dates he never stuck with one girl .

Beat beat is all he did .Broken bones broken hearts .Hes thrownin darts like its goin thro her heart Makin her mad and sad makin her go through so much pain the blood rushes thro her vains

She hides the bruises with makeup now lets get to me

Hobbies - Fish
As for other stuff--- One of my recent hobbies is tropical fish. For the last three years I've had a very pretty betta kinda like the one:

(this isn't my actual betta, just a pic of one off the internet that looks similar to him. Mine acutally changes color in the light -- when he's fiesty, he turns a puplish color on the body and end of his fins get reddish, when passively swimming and most of the time, he's blue. When he's napping he turns mostly green. At age 3½ my betta is still going strong. About a month ago I went to WalMart and picked up a 10 gallon aquarium set up and have just had him in it. I've been meaning to add "friends" and did that today. Today, I got three corydoras, each look like these pics:

So far, the most active little one is my albino cory.
The next favorite:

It's not the prettiest but he's also active and swimming around. The albino and patch corys are about 1.5 cm in length from head to tail(that's just a touch over half an inch). If they ever "outgrow" my tank I'll take them when they're all nice and big to the local fish store and with store credit, exchange them and get smaller ones again 2-3 years down the road.

The third fish I got is a spotted cory. He looks like:

So far, he's the most boring inactive fish. All three came from a different tank at the store, so who knows if he was already ill. He may just be scared though too. He's bigger than the other two at 4.7 cm (nearly 2 inches) from tip to tail.
My betta is the biggest with his body alone(not including his long flowing fins) measuring in at approx. 6.2 cm(about 2.5 inches).
Fish UPDATE: Okay, I disovered something interesting since getting my new cory today. The spotted one in the pic like above is pregnant with a fat belly. After doing some online research, I now understand why the fish have been acting a bit unusual. An interesting tidbit on how corys mate that I found on the net: During breeding, the males will exhibit a mating dance, touching the female's dorsal. If the female is receptive, the male will vibrate the body to initate spawning.... The female then sucks the sperm out into her mouth from the male's genital pore. At this point the female ejects a batch of eggs which is uniquely held between her veentral fins. And after finding a suitable site, she then spits out the sperm onto the site and attaches the eggs, at which time fertilisation occurs.

After my vacation in the next week or so I plan to add a couple of more fish.. probably 6-8 neons, or maybe 3-4 platties which are kinds of fish that will get along with my betta. Someday I'll even get pics of my actual tank and fish; my OLD digital camera isn't working, my web cam isn't working, so it may be awhile. The scanner works but I can't exactly lay the fishtank on that ;)

My Blog: Broken bones

So I know that no one realy like to break bones. For me its not so much the pain of the actual broken bone that suck as much as it is my season being cut short. Just a few weaks ago(three today to be exact) I broke my left wing(colar bone) That crap sucks. What sucks even more is there is nothing that they can do about it. Only in very uncoman cases do they operate and put pins in it. So The doc gave me enough Perkaset to become an adict and said were this sling and I,ll see you in a month. Bull shi*t. So here I sit three weaks later and the only thing I have left to make me feel better is this web site. If I caint ride my board then at least I can talk about snowboarding and help people out with equipment questions. See you gys in the threads. God Speed.

My Blog: Early Season Injury

I went for the 5th time this season(12/28/05) and on the last run got hurt bad. I had to be takened off the hill in the tobogan. How embrassing, but I hurt my left knee/ankle after catching some air and landing on an edge and then cart wheeling a couple of times. No broken bones, but going to orthapedic Dr. today and having a MRI done for legiment damage. It sucks that I could be out for the season already. I had a great day until that happened. But shi*t happens. I hope I can still go to Breakenridge the end of feburay, but I don't think so.

I made a grab!!!! But still I am depressed,, here in Stockholm there aint no snow!! =(
No broken bones!! Only blue knees, but I meen I am alive..

In Tandådalen i saw the Swedish Trofé and Snowboard SM in halfpipe.. They are crazyyyy...

does it seem strange to you? the confetti. the balloons. the mile-wide grins and the victory dance to welcome in the heir to a state of (utter and complete) disrepair? because it sure seems strange to me: they're acting like they won the f*cking lottery! i mean, shouldn't they feel terror at the task that lies ahead: to feed and house the people that this system's left for dead. and could i have hit the nail much harder on the head? it's profits before lives. they are motivated by greed. first they taught us to depend on their nation-states to mend our tired minds, our broken bones, our bleeding limbs. but now they've sold off all the splints and contracted out the tourniquets and if we jump through hoops then we might just survive. is this what we deserve? to scrub the palace floors? to fight amongst ourselves? as we scramble for the crumbs they spit out, frothing at the mouth about the scapegoats that they've chosen for us. with every racist pointed finger i can hear the goose-steps getting closer. they no longer represent us so is it not our obligation to confront this tyranny?

Today i was told at Ben Lomond to go and "don't bother coming back, ever" so now i've been kicked out of there on a snowboard and skis. I think this is a pretty good record. next year i'm going to get kicked out again but this time on a snowskate. I also set a new record offically I've gone 12 months with no broken bones WooHoo and 2 months with out any form of head injurie ROCK ON. Life is good and urban jib season is starting to warm up same gos for the surf.
