Hey ladies! (and guys, too!)

On Sunday March 4th at Cascade Mountain, WI, Shred Betty Magazine will be hosting a Midwest BETTY TAKE OVER DAY.

"but, Chelly, what the hell is a "betty take over day"? "

Well let me tell you!

The Betty Take Over Day is a day where the girls finally (hopefully) outpopulate the guys on the hill for a day of fun and maximum shreddage! It's just a day set aside for all for the ladies, and for guys to appreciate them. ;)

The entire day will be dedicated to the event ( 9.am - 9 p.m ) so make sure you get out there and show your face at some point! ;) Guys and girls alike are welcome! Just make sure you boys wear some kind of pink to support your girls! Girls feel free to wear some pink as well :) Bandanas, gloves, shirts, beanies, etc are all good in the hooood.

During the day we will be holding a small, extremely casual, audience-judged ladies slopestyle competition! There will be some nice prizes including our newly added "Silly Park Rats, Jibs are for Chicks!" shirt, some Shred Betties shirts, pins, stickers, and more! (maybe) The competition is currently sponsered by Girl Powder, Lucid Notion Snowboards, and SixSixOne. If you know of any other sponsers that would like to get in, send myself or Hannah (editorial@shredbetties.com) a message!

For those interested, go ahead and register! You can register at www.shredbetties.com. It's super easy and will give us an idea oh how many people will be making it out!

I know the Midwest Meet is going to be the same weekend, but even if you guys just wanted to make it out for the comp that'd be great! :) There'll be a small admission fee, but it's not going to be anything over 5 bucks so it won't bust your bank. We were thinking of donating the proceeds to a charity/organization of some kind but that's still in the works!

My Journal: its what summer is all about

This is my first summer in 7 years! and im loving it!

I'm either working, studying stuff, hanging with my Boy matty Drinking, being a gym buff or doing day trips in Invercargill.......

We went swimming yesterday, ALLLLLLL day and it was great, we took the explorer out, our $15 raft from the warehouse. We cruised about on that for a couple hours Then spent the evening with my parents out on the boat. Todays waitungi day double pay WooHooo! oh yea i resigned from my bartending job, and even got offered a pay rise and a new job position what any idiot woulnt turn down, but i did! hhmmmmm i moved across the st to bettys liquor store! woooohoooooo! is it something about me and booze?????hhmmmm

sooooo im sitting my managers certificate, a few hundred bucks later and im making the money. okay im talking shi*t. ive just finished a 12 hour shift and i thought it was about time i filled in some stuff.

All those who are enjoying the massive amounts of snow all over the world, yes i am jelous and i wish i was also snow shredding! if anyone wants to send me a gt racer feel free, im pretty sure that new zealand dont ahve them!

hhm what else/.......naaa hope your all having fun where ever you are.

This is me and Reiley, my godson (my best freind careyanne) and her dog Skye. he's 2months old now! one of the reasons why i stayed home this summer!

summer is all about my wonderful BOYFRIEND "Matty", friendships, drinking, dvd's, ice machines in your fridge, air con, tan's, Parties, boating, watching the sunset, planning a surf trip all whilst having fun and waiting for the snow to fall!

My Blog: Catching waves in Aussie

I've just spent the last year backpacking around NZ. I spent 6 months up on the north island surfing and getting my adrenaline pumping, and 6 months on the south island snowboarding. Snowboarding in NZ is alot different then back home in Canada as the resorts are alot smaller and have way less snow, but Kiwis do put alot of effort into creating good terrain parks and half-pipes, so it's a great place to work on freestyle.

Now that my year is over, I am heading over to Aussie for the summer. Sometimes I think I'm crazy for giving up another winter, but I got hooked up with a job working for a surf school in Port Stephens (2 hours north of Sydney) and I'm quite keen to get over there and catch a few waves. Surfing all summer will help keep my mind off of how much I miss snowboarding.

I have decided to admitt that i wear to much make up!!

what ppl have said to me about it:
Courtenay: you is black!!.. i like it!!
Rachel: omg how much make-up are you puttin on??
Ciara: people in Arklow get slagged for wearin that much make-up (like i care what people in Arklow think!!)
Mum: trollops on the street wear less make-up than you.. and they look better (omg what a nice thing for a mum to come out with??)
Ms Weir: you don't have to wear that much make-up Valerie your skin is georgous without it!! (well it looks georgeous because of it!!)
Jay: I'm sure you look just as georgeous without it (obviosly he hasnt seen me without it!!)
Zara: you is le caked!!
Hannah: it's not the light you are actually orange!! (it so was the light..lol..)
Colleen: how many layers do you put on your face Valerie.. would you ever stop!!

CRIMSON TEARS:

I'm pouring crimson tears
While I think of all my fears
A deep blood red rolling off my chin
As I admit all of my sins
The crimson tears fall into the blood stained
sink
Soon those tears will be the wine I shall drink
My cheeks are cloured red from crying
And I get the idea that I may be dying
I look in the mirror and scream
I wish I was just in a dream
I look like I've come back from the dead
And the memories of my past run through my
head
Suddenly I wake up in a pool of blood
Or am I just in a puddle of mud
I don't know where I am or who I am
Please come find me if you can
I stand up and walk into the bathroom
It's then I realize I will meet my doom
I see the bloody sink and the bloody floor
As I walk in through the door
My crimson tears keep falling
As my eyes keep balling
Then I wake up for real this time
And there aren't any crimson tears to make
me blind.
LITTLE MISS PRISS:

I know we all hate those back stabbing chicks
The ones with perfect hair and perfect pics
They're the ones who cry about a broken nail
Well let me tell you a little bit of a tale

Betty Sue was the popular girl in school
Every guy loved her and thought she was so cool
When she laughed about nothing they laughed too
I mean she's just the greatest what else would they do?

She was so nice until she got behind your back
Then she would stab you and make sure you can't react
She would trip you and apologize but giggle under breath
She was the one every boy loved to death

Now I'm just a loner all by myself
I do it alone and no one ever helps
But when she tripped me and then gave me a smack
I knew that tomorrow was a time for payback

So I got everything ready for her to earn
Today was a day miss piss would learn
I grabbed my camera and ran after her to the ladies room
Now was the time for her to meet her doom

I stepped on the toilet and leaned over the stall
This was a time for a bathroom call
So I called my girls and they lined up to be first
And thats when I snapped a shot of her stuffing her shirt

I posted the pictures on the school site
Little miss priss was out for the nite
But she learned her lesson and she learned it well
This is my tale that was only for me to tell

New pics yay!

Halloween is my favorite time of year - when else do you have an excuse to wear a pirate costume 5 nights in a row and party hardy? And the Snowdevils party was a hit, we had over 600 people show up on a monday night and next thing we knew there were police helicopters overhead telling us to break it up. We definetly made some good cash for the club, considering we lost alot on the golf tornament flop.

So looks like the snow is going to play games this year and not come around, and after i finally decide to get a season pass dammit! Getting new bindings though yippi!
