This is gonna be one helluva show.....

PortersTahoe.com, Burton Snowboards, Corona, Transworld Snowboarding, Alpine Meadows, Ubisoft, Sobe and the Supersuckers are teaming up on the evening of Saturday, October 25th at The Underground club on 555 East 4th Street in downtown Reno, Nevada to present the Burton Team movie It’s Always Snowing Somewhere. A 7pm all-ages, free showing will be followed at 9pm by a $4.99 cover for a 21-and-over premier of the movie and after-party featuring the Supersuckers. Tickets for the second, 21+ screening are available online HERE or at any of Porters’ four North Lake Tahoe shop locations.

The movie It’s Always Snowing Somewhere follows the Burton Team traveling the northern hemisphere, from Austria to Alaska. It features action footage from Shaun White, Terje Haakonsen, Natasza Zurek, Gigi Rüf, JP Solberg, Heikki Sorsa, Nicolas Müller, Tadashi Fuse, Frederik Kalbermatten, Jeremy Jones, Jussi Oksanen, DCP, Mads Jonsson, Trevor Andrew, Keegan Valaika, Kevin Pearce, Danny Davis, Kazuhiro Kokubo, Mikkel Bang, Mikey Rencz and Peetu Piiroinen.

There are only ten other screenings of the movie across the country, and this will be the only showing anywhere in Northern California or Nevada this year. The first 100 people at the family-friendly, all-ages, free showing at 7pm sharp will receive a free lift ticket voucher to Alpine Meadows Resort and a free tour stop t-shirt. An autograph session will follow at 8pm with Burton Snowboards team riders Jussi Oksanen, Danny Davis, Kevin Pearce, Mason Aguirre, Heikki Sorsa, and Kelly Clark scheduled to appear. Doors open at 9pm for the 21+ movie and after party. Tickets are $4.99 in advance and this is expected to be a sold out show.

Local Tahoe bands Cohesion and Hunks of Metal will play before the second showing of the movie. Hunks of Metal feature early pioneers and legends of snowboarding such as Terry Kidwell, Shawn Farmer, and Bob Klein. When asked to play at the event Bob said, “Who has a chance to open for not only the Supersuckers, but a world class snowboard movie as well? We’re looking forward to rocking the Underground for the first time, hopefully not the last, unless we get too drunk and rowdy!” Immediately after the 11pm screening of It’s Always Snowing Somewhere the greatest live rock ‘n roll band in the world – Supersuckers – will take the stage for a rowdy and raucous set. More local bands are scheduled to finish the late night / early morning in the back lounge room while The Underground’s resident DJ will spin the rest of early morning in the main showroom.

For more information on this awesome night email me at chappy@porterstahoe.com or call us us toll free at 866.967.6783.

Vancouver, B.C. – Airhole – Ninja Masks You Idiot -  Launches in North American and Japan Fall 2007

The Airhole concept is from the twisted minds of Chris Brown and Kale Stephens. It is the most technical concept ever applied on a face mask before. It’s a hole and you breath through it. Sounds simple right? Well it is, you idiot.

“Kale and I were up shredding one day in the backcountry and it was super cold on my face. I had used all kinds of scarves and bandanas before but nothing was ever that comfortable. That’s when I came up with the idea for face masks. The name was formed from clouds of smoke and the slogan came out of Kale’s mouth in the first commercial on the Fury blog @ IS designs’ website. “AIRHOLE: Ninja Masks You Idiot” Out of all of that we got a company on the go”, says co-founder Chris Brown.

We have always been into ninjas growing up and the masks are, well, ninja masks so we decided to go with that theme. They are far superior to anything that you have put on your face before. They have high quality functional materials that will leave you satisfied in cold or sunny situations. They will also look really dope with stylized patterns and ill fits.”

Airholes are available in five different styles, all named after ninja swords and knives, and available in three different colourways: Black Ninja, White Ninja, and Red Ninja. Their team is already heavily stacked: Kale Stephens, Chris Brown, Paavo Tikkanen, Trevor Andrew, Erik Christiansen, Iikka Backstrom, Eero Niemela, Johnny Lyall, Andrew Geeves, Mikey Rencz, Chris Dufficy, and industry veteran Jon Sommers.

Airhole will be available in North America and Japan Fall 2007. Endeavor Snowboards is handling all sales and press enquiries for North America. For more information, please contact Chris Martin at 604.646.4727 or chris@endeavorsnowboards.com.

About

Founded by pro snowboarders Kale Stephens and Chris Brown, Airholes are face rags for all of your life activities – snowboarding, snowmobiling, concealing your identity. Using innovative functional materials, unique form fitting patterns, and the most ground breaking concept – a hole that you breath through, Airholes are the most innovative product available in the face protection market today.

Here is another dude new to the Whiteout Crew last year that we are super hyped to work with in 07. Trev is definitely all over the place these days, one day up sledding deep in the backcountry doing cab 9's over perfect jump, and the next making moves in the music world with his CTG records label down in NYC. Trevor actually splits his time living in both Brooklyn and Squamish, two totally different cities but same mean streets. Trevor aka Trza aka Trouble, started up CTG records which has some sick artists like JOFO under their label. Trevor's songs have been a part of Whiteout movies for a couple of years now, with Trev singing EEro's song in The Big Blind and then him singing his new song for his own section in this year's Wear It Well.
Trev is also pretty entertaining in the backcountry, and as most riders become more experienced the more they go out, Trev seems like its his first time out each time. He just learned how to load his own snowmobile this year, but still has someone (usually Anthony) do it for him most of the time. He also can't remember where any of the snowmobile spots are in Whistler even if we went to them the previous day, which happened this year at the Hurley Road gap. Before this year, Devun was the only one to have even stepped up to the big road gap, and he tripped out when he heard that Trev backside 180ed it. You can check out all the road gap action in our dvd extras where lil Auch built one that specifically looks at the road jumps. As for Trev, you can see more of him and learn more about his music and shredding at myspace.com/trevorandrewakatrouble. Trevor is sponsored by Burton, Gravis, Analog, Oakley, CTG Records and Mapquest.

Heavywater Studios is proud to announce the premier of the first It’s Your Life episode, a five minute peek into the very hectic lives of five professional snowboarders. The premier episode stars Oakley professional rider Trevor Andrew.

Risking his life in the backcountry of Whistler to pull off an elite snowboarding movie segment while fulfilling his obligations as an up and coming musician, Trevor Andrew is a man of many hats. The 27 year old’s episode takes you on a rollercoaster ride of snowboarding, snowmobiling, shooting a music video, getting injured, performing live, and messing around on his home mountain. Self-filmed confessions using a Nokia N90 camera phone, explain a story throughout his past season.

Produced by Max Jenke of Endeavor Snowboards and Derek Heidt of Oakley, It’s Your Life intimately documents the aspirations of five professional snowboarders and their friends. The rawness of personal journals and footage filmed exclusively on Nokia camera phones combined with vivid narration, an amazing soundtrack, and first class snowboarding combine to make a unique viewing experience. Episodes launch every two weeks, beginning October 1st.

Presented by Endeavor Snowboards, Oakley, Nokia, Snowboard.com, Whistler/Blackcomb, and Heavywater Studios.
