OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE – SEATTLE, WA (October 20, 2008)-The development of a new digital download player by Ally Distribution will change the way people consume action sports films.  By adding an entirely new dimension to the distribution model, this free download player has the potential to expand the size of the action sports film industry by making a larger selection of videos more accessible to more customers than ever before.  Called the ALLY digitalDOWNLOAD Store, the company wanted to create something that would instill positive change throughout the industry by helping the people behind these films.  Ally president Kelly Dole explains,  "We had become increasingly frustrated with the distribution side of the action sports film industry and decided we wanted to develop something that would help change things for the better."

The player is an embeddable widget (hosted by a third party), which allows retailer and industry websites alike to offer high-quality, digital downloads similar to iTunes.  The full-length downloadable films are compatible with all platforms and all portable media devices.  Rockies Super-Rep Mike "Gags" Gagliardi remarked, "There are no out-of-pocket costs, no set-up costs, no inventory, and it's free to sign up.  Any person visiting your website has the opportunity to download a full movie for a decent price. My shops just collect a check every month."

The Ally Player is now available to any retailer, online retailer, sponsor, or individual who would like to offer films for download from their website,  MySpace page, Facebook page, or similar platform.  The Player has 20 current, full-length ski and snowboard videos available for download with new titles being added each week.

Instead of building a single download website and attempting to drive all web traffic to their own site, Ally figured-out a win-win solution that will soon see hundreds or even thousands of micro-stores playing free teasers and selling video downloads.  The effects of this new distribution model can be expected to increase sales and exposure dramatically for the films, the athletes and the sponsors while reducing the carbon footprint for all involved.

Ally Video and Distribution is headquartered in Seattle, WA as a rider owned and operated entity, specializing in the distribution of action sports films.  For more information on our films, trailers, and latest developments visit www.allyvideo.com and to check out the new video player go to www.allyvideo.com/downloadsfordollars.

Nathan Ramler

Tonight is going to be a good night; I will finally be able to sleep peacefully in my own bed.  I'm not gonna lie, I've been partying hard since thursday night up in Whistler while shooting every single day and it's been pretty gnarly.   I'm pretty sure it's finally caught up with me.  But I don't really care because tomorrow we're heading up Grouse for a super fun brodown session with photos.  So stoked!
Teasers should start coming out about now, and I'm sure Alterna's gonna put out something that'll blow your minds.  Keep it on the up and peep shi*t from them.  You won't be dissappointed.

Sandbox News: New Teaser
By: Sandbox

Well, here we are with the first batch of footage for you all. We just finished our January 07 Teaser. We have had an amazing winter here in Whistler and the guys out in Alberta have been killing it as well. We shot a lot of film for this teaser, almost 50 rolls of film has been shot already, thats huge for us. There is only one digi shot in the whole teaser, try and guess which one it is. The past couple months have been so much fun riding and shooting with all the riders. We have some new riders on the crew, Andrew Geeves has been on fire this year as well as Kael Hill, Andrew Skelhorn, Dwayne Weibe and Max Ritchie. Behind the scenes we have some new faces as well. Graham Foy out in Calgary has been shooting some great footage of those boys in cow town. In Whistler, Johnny fats Conway has been a bit of a train wreck lately with blown up snowmobiles, trucks and trailers but he has a big heart and great potential as a 16mm shooter. Check the people section on our site, sandboxland.com, for some of the new mug shots. Most of the old cast is back and Hardingham has some new weirdness for us all to enjoy, there is a short taste of whats to come from Hardingham at the end of the new teaser. The praise for Flavor Country continues on, last update I told you all about our Best Box Cover of the Year award from Method Mag. Now we just saw the new Snowboard Canada Business and we are in the Top 5 videos sold in Canada ! We are right up there with the big budget boys like Forum and Mack Dawg. Playboard Magazine in Europe gave us 6 out of 6 stars in their latest video review. The only other vids to get 6 stars were Mack Dawg and Forum. Thanks again to everyone out there who helped make Flavor Country such a huge success. Were off to Vegas to show off the teaser and party hardy with the industry machine. I just spoke to Clayton tonight who is on a rail trip in interior BC, he said the boys had an insane day with some really great shots, too late for this teaser so stay tuned as we plan to have a few teasers out this year. Thanks and enjoy the January 07 Teaser. - Kevin Sansalone

Still Bastards!

Just incase you wanted to know:

Fall 2007 is slated to be a big year for long time and new Wildcats fans alike. Almost a decade since the release of “Lil’ Bastards” Wildcats and IS Design have teamed up to present “Still Bastards” the sequel to the video that kick started the Wildcat legacy.

Rumors of a sequel were leaked late 2006 to numerous magazines and websites around the world. To know surprise these rumors were met by extremely positive feedback proving snowboarding may just be getting a little board with the “cute and cuddly snowboard films” that have become the norm. Still Bastards is ready to be shake things up with its unique brand of un-classy, chaotic, high energy and most likely offensive film style.

You can believe this highly anticipated sequel will be crammed packed full of late night antics including but not limited to: extreme radness, excessive drinking, the damaging of public property, insults directed towards innocent people, horribly good dancing, the invasion of personal space, smart ass remarks, drunken mumbling, terrible rapping, beautiful women (hopefully) and an overall talent for poor decision making. All this action will of course be peppered with hotshot stunts performed by a world-class cast of snowboard mega stars and the up and comers eager to carry the torch.

In keeping with the cult classic “Lil’ Bastards, we’ll be exposing viewers to up close and personal rider video parts as well as giving them an all access pass to exclusive behind the scenes footage contributed by the riders themselves.

Still Bastards will follow the same formula as Lil’ Bastards and remain a rider driven movie with Devun Walsh and JF Pelchat at the helm. This project will primarily be filmed in digi with some 16mm film and have a running time of 20-30 minutes. There will be magazine ads, articles and web sites creating awareness for Still Bastards throughout the year. In addition to the year-end DVD we plan to turnout multiple teasers posted on various websites promoting the project throughout the season leading up to the films September 2007 release.

New Wildcats site is now up!

The new Wildcats site is now up and running. Check it out to see teasers for "Lil' and Still Bastards", a new & improved team section and of course the latest in Wildcats gear.

Dev and JF have taken over the reins at Wildcats so expect to see some big things from the duo in the near future.

Shot number two from day one of shooting for Still Bastards.

Mikey, Dev and Kale get ready to get rad on the set of Still Bastards up at Seymour early December. Over the next two weeks, Dev, JF and myself will be working hard on a teaser to show at SIA in Vegas. We should have it posted on the site by the end of the month so keep posted.
