My Blog: And we're off!!
By: ezd

So it's been decided. I got some dirt cheap flights to Calgary, Canada at the begining of April and have arranged to stay at my Girlfriends aunt's house. Gonna stay as long as poss and hopefully do a season. Then we're off across America, got mates and family there we can stay with. Then were gonna bum it to Brazil and mission it down to Peru & Argentina where my girlfriends parents have got some friends we can stay with. From there were off to Japan and Thailand (which one first depends on the season) if it's winter in Japan we're gonna try and do a season there too, I've got lots of Family in Thailand so we can stay without problems. Then to China, Mongolia and Tibet to stay with some Monks if we can. Next comes Malaysia on the way to Austrailia where we know afew people throughout. And then, the one I'm most looking forward too, New Zealand, we're gonna do a season there too. From New Zealand we're off to South Africa where we'll atempt to bum it up through Africa right up to Egypt then across to Morroco. Now we head back to Europe starting with Italy, then Switzerland or Austria for yet another season. Up to Denmark, over to Finland through Sweden then Norway (maybe another season). Across to Scotland where we can stay with my family in a range of places (season again). From there who knows, but I doubt I'll wanna go home. IT'S GONNA BE AWESOME!

My Journal: Grow on
By: yukeepfalndown

Its thE dead of winter!

Season is picking up. Maybe Jay peak on sunday (if the wallet allows) and loon on monday! I am drinking wine, feeling good.

My love life is not something I would normally write about but these days mine is very... amazing.

I just seperated from my love of 3 years. Talk about difFicult. I started praying about a month ago. All signs leaded to us leaving each other to give each other the space we need to make seriouse growing decisions. He even bought a ring :(

I want to travel. I can not be in a relationship and do the things I want. At least not such a seriouse relationship in which i felt that there was so much pressure to do well. I want to do well, I want to do amazing. But... I want to do it for me, for my family and I want to be 100% clear headed so that I can fully understand the rewards and also the piece of mind knowing that I am growing and fully understanding how I am growing and where I want to go.

The most ironic part....
Now I am with someone from sweden. He's in sweden now for winter break. I am not predicting anything and I feel 100% confident. THAT IS AN AMAZING FEELING, you should try it :)

So thats it for now

Just a last bit of advice....
IF YOU ARE IN A RELATIONSHIP, EVEN IF THAT PERSON MEANS THE WORLD TO YOU OR TAUGHT YOU MOST OF WHAT YOU KNOW, MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE NOT JUST THERE DUE TO COMFORT. THERE ARE AMAZING THINGS OUT THERE WAITING FOR YOU. ASK YOUR SELF WHAT YOU WANT OUT OF LIFE AND IF YOU ARE NOT 100% SURE ABOUT YOUR SITUATION, move on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD PLACES PEOPLE IN OUR LIFE TO TEACH US AND HELP US MOVE ON AND GROW UP. WHAT ARE YOU SPENDING YOUR TIME DOING?

MUCH LOVE SNOWBOARDERS!

All A's last semester....

So I've left Sweden and am now in Asia. I've been to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and loved it! I didn't like Saigon, Vietnam, as much, but Mui Ne (also Vietnam) is great! But I'm leaving today to go to Bangkok, Thailand, tomorrow to spend christmas with my family. Then who knows where I'll end up. =)

Today has been a sunday full of chillin. It started in Karin's basement, where I had slept. Yesterday I was  with Sara, Klara and Karin and it was very nice. I like thouse girls a lot!  We watched american pie the wedding .. haha but mostly we talked.
Tomorrow is what we in sweden call "Valborg" and it is pretty much a bad excuse for teenagers to drink alcohol.  I guess we will party but we haven't decided yet.
Tonight am I going to study maybe and watch a movie.
So long!

Well its finally in place, I have told my boss whats happening and the discussions are taking place. What am I on about you ask? I'm moving from the UK to go and live/work in Stockholm, Sweden.
Unfortunately the catalyst for this move wasn't what I wanted and has turned out to be harder than I ever imagined it would be.
A new country and a new start? Well thats something I'll have to find out when I get there.

What more could I want??
All time sunshine (this winter is a bit annoying, isn't it?), great snow on the mountains, short-pants weather in the village, Ice cream every day, only 1 1/2 months working left, just returned from sweden , partys 'n sessions, my dog is still alive, goggle burn is growing, no serious injuries by now, surrounded by nice people, I could continue that list endless.
I'm just missing one thing, but in a few weeks ....

Researchers from countries as diverse as the United Kingdom, United States, Sweden, New Zealand, and Canada have made some unusual observations about the relationships people have with their cars. This includes what your car colour choices may reveal, and what applying a gender and a name to your vehicle may indicate about you. Even the astrological implications regarding the likelihood of accidents have been looked at.
Seriously folks, it's true.
Colorado State University psychology professor Jacob Benfield and his colleagues concluded in the journal: "Personality and Individual Differences," that about one quarter of people named their cars, and about half thought of their cars as either masculine or feminine.
His study also concluded that people who name their cars and apply a gender to them, "scored significantly higher than non-naming-vehicle-drivers on verbal aggression, physical aggression, driving anger and pejorative labeling/verbally aggressive thinking" – all of which would suggest a higher likelihood of car insurance issues somewhere down the road.
For anyone who occasionally wonders if some researchers have too much time on their hands, consider the following:
From Wikipedia:
  • "A Swedish study found pink cars safest, with black cars most likely to be involved in crashes (Land transport NZ 2005)."
  • "An Auckland, New Zealand study found a significantly lower risk of serious injury in silver cars; with high risks for brown, black, and green cars. (Furness et al, 2003)"
As details are sketchy, one is forced to wonder whether the researchers in the Swedish study applied any equalization to their calculations. Seriously, how many pink cars have you seen lately? Perhaps pink is a more popular colour for cars in Sweden, but we've never even seen a pink Volvo. Also, consider how many black cars there are on the roads. Is this the real reason that black cars appear to be more likely to be involved in an accident? Or are they harder to see at night? We can't say for sure, and apparently neither can the car insurance companies, or else they'd charge accordingly.
According to colormatters.com, the colour you choose for your car gives some insight into your personality. Apparently, if you choose:
  • White: You could be status-seeking and an extrovert.
  • Black: You're somewhat more likely to be aggressive, an outsider or a rebel.
  • Silver: You're probably cool, calm and slightly aloof, - probably ambitious too.
  • Green: It could be an indication of hysterical tendencies.
  • Blue: It's likely that you're reflective, introspective and cautious.
  • Gray: You're dedicated to work, and generally a calm and sober individual.
  • Yellow: You probably like novelty and are idealistic.
  • Red: You move and talk quickly and you're full of zest, energy and drive.
  • Pink: You're probably a kind, loving, gentle and affectionate person.
  • Cream: It could indicate a self-contained and controlled individual.
We have yet to find an auto insurance company that asks what the colour of your car is when determining your car insurance rates, and, thank goodness for that. What would be next? Questions about your astrological sign?
In fact, some researchers in the U.S. and Canada, have gone so far as far as to try to correlate astrological signs with a higher or lower likelihood of auto accidents. Fortunately for us, each study seems to come to a different conclusion.
Imagine the following: "Yes Mrs. Smith, we know that you've had a perfect driving record for the last fifteen years, but it concerns us that you keep referring to your vehicle as "My Black Stallion," and also, we see here by your birth date, that you're a Pisces with an Aries moon and Aquarius rising. The data strongly suggests that your luck simply can't hold out much longer, so, we're going to have to cancel your auto insurance policy."
Thankfully, the actuaries who develop the calculations that auto insurance companies use to determine auto insurance premiums, continue to remain "skeptical" of any apparent correlations, and continue to look to the more traditional, statistically relevant and somewhat more "boring" methods of calculating your auto insurance risk, namely:
  • Your age and location.
  • Your previous driving record.
  • And, the type of vehicle that you drive.
Smart folks those actuaries.
Now if an actuary were giving you advice on your car insurance premiums, they'd tell you to shop around for several quotes before you buy. They may even recommend kanetix as the best place to get your car insurance quote, to save you both time and money. Besides, the alignment of the stars today, suggest that it's a great day for finding a little extra coin in your pocket.

So if my next vehicle is blue...does that mean I'm going to be a cautious driver?...oh hell no!

Hello, my name is markus!

Im an 15 year old snowboarder from sweden. I have been riding for a couple of years.
Yesterday I came home from swedens biggest ski/snowboard-mountain, Sälen. We stayed there for a couple of days. We had tons of fun with all the cool guys that working/riding there. For example, Jonas "g-sson" Gunnarsson, medallist in world cup half pipe -96. We hanged out with him while he was building the funpark. It was kinda awesome.

So, to the point. While Im out rocking the slopes I meet many diffrent people out there. Skiers and snowboarders. Many of them are rocking all the curbs and kicks. But many of them does not! Thoose poeple are thoose that cares more about have they look and all that crap, than concentrate on their own riding. In thoose days, there are pretty many of thoose guys out there. It seems like they forgot the major reason for riding, having fun. I think this is kinda sick and I want to say like JP Walker;
"It's pretty sick sun, eeeeeeh"

The reason for writing this blog is that there is not so many serious blogs on this site. The second reason is that I woke up this morning whit a sick headache and fever.

So to all you guys out there;
You are not on the mountain for looking cool, you are there for having fun!

My Blog: FINALLY!
By: cherrykicks

The winter, the snow, the cold! It finally reached the little land of Sweden.
I'm happy. Happy, happy, happy!
I spent the weekend in the slope near my home. It's not fully open yet, 'tough. But it will be on Wednesday! So guess who's going snowboarding then? ^^
And on Friday. And Saturday. And Sunday.

But this weekend I didn't get much of riding myself. I had snowboardschool and helped little kids learn how to ride. Some of them are cool, some of them are lame. There were one girl and two guys who managed to jump in a tiny bump with one foot loose.
I adore them.

One of the guys cousin is a friend to my ex boyfriend. Doesn't seem to matter what I do, it all comes back to him in the end.

*throws snowball at and runs away*

PEACE OUT, Y'ALL!

22 january..

yeah!! the world isn´t so bad at all! I´m already starting to feel better after my accident! But I´m still a bit sore though... but hey I´m a fighter;)
And a few days a go we had a small snowstorm in sweden! so now the temprature is freezing and we got at least 3-5 dm snow!! that´s awsome!

As soon as my jaw is healed I´m going to try to rail for the first time! I´ve found a perfect place! haha I sure hope I don´t get any more injuries like this one though! haha with the luck I got I wouldn´t be suprised;)

another thing I discovered is that some guys seem to think that a girl who cares about her appearence is dumb? why is that? just because I do my nails, wear make up and care for my body it dosent meen that it control my life!
I love science! I have a A in philosophy, and I watch discovery channel often. I´m fascinated about all types of fact, like for example...

-The egyptian history, the fact that we haven´t succeded with building an exact copie of the great pyramids with the same methods as the old egyptians? isn´t that intresting? we cant even build an exact copie of those pyramids even if we used technical means?

-Genes! I love the science of the human genes, it´s a bit scary that we actually can clone ourselfs, but unfortunatly the clone would die before the intended time, since the DNA is already an age, my DNA will soon be 20 years old! So if I would clone myself it would die 20 years before the intended time.

-Elephants has a very long memory, it´s actually one of the few animals that grief death in the family.. elephants can travel to place were a relative has past away and touth the remainings and remember..

-the "fat" theory! people don´t get fat by eating pure fat, fat is actually an important part of the fatburning process. When we give the body fat(the rigth kind) we send out signals that says" we have eated fat now so it´s okey to burn fat". The reason we get fat is because we mix fat(wrong fat) and carbohydrates(fast carbs). When we do that we prevent the "skills of fat" which is to give us the "we are filled up" signal, when we mix the two of them, that signal becomes less noticeable and we can eat more before we feel filled up.

So remember, just because a person is goodlooking or care about things that not are directly related to "smart things" it dosen´t mean he/she is stupid?! people who judge other in advance are shallow and really need to be more openminded, because you miss so many intresting and charming persons when you put people in boxes.

have a wonderful day! now I´m going to take som aspirin and sleep my injury well;) and then mayby eat some ice cream;)
puss&kram "the swedish moral expert!"

alright, what's up? i hope everyone's new years was a blast and that all your resolutions come true. most of the girls are out in colorado right now for the session or x games. priscilla, leanne, amber, lexi, christy, nat, myself and a few others all attended the zumiez100k and needless to say we all had a great time. that shop treats their employees good, i'd be so pumped to get to go to that. unfortunatly for us canadians we don't have zumiez so unless you're a "professional" of some sort you probably won't get the chance to go. anyways, it was a 1000 drunk zumiez employees and a bunch of wasted skaters, snowboarders and surfers all having a good time. really rad party with super fun people. some of the girls will be competing in the session rail jam tomorrow night which will eventually air on nbc, so go check it out! erin couldn't make it because she's been slaying rails in sweden and finland...good work girl! i wish all the ladies the best of luck in the next couple of weeks, go kill it! anyways, come comment and check out the page...its in need of some love!

forever yours,

the runway crew.

So I´m back home in Sweden again and I actually hate it! I loved Thailand and really didn´t wanna leave, and coming home to a winter without snow really sucks. I guess I´ll hate being home for a while now but then I´ll get used to it and life will go on as usual. But I´ve already decided to go travelling in Asia in oktober - january so I´ll look forward to that. =)

So, I´m off to Thailand on thursday. We´re leaving Sweden at 09:45, landing in Zurich at 12:10, and then we´re stuck in Zurich until 22:40. ((Anyone wanna meet up in Zurich?? )) Then we´re landing in Bangkok at 15:15 on friday and after that we get to go to Hua Hin (about three hours drive) by cab. I hope I can sleep all the way in the cab cause it´s sooo boring just sitting there, waiting to get to the place we´re going to. And I don´t think that the cab driver will let me drive, haha. But dad said that I could drive his motorcycle as long as I´ve got a license for it. Damn good luck for me that I just got it yesterday! Hmm...or maybe not...
Anyway, it´s gonna be great to get away from this shi*tty raining for a while and hopefully there´s loooooots of SNOW when I get home again!

After being arrested for being awesome over a dozen times, Paavo still has not learned his lesson. As you can tell from the photos, Paavo is all about Euro "easy style" and chillidoggin'. He has been down in Cali for a couple of months with all the other Finns golfing and surfing it up, and should be back at his new home in Whistler for the season. Paavo started filming with Whiteout for our first movie Positron, and has had parts in Big Blind and this Year's Wear It Well. If you get a chance, check out his backside rodeo-guineapig air over the Whistler park jump in Positron, it rules! Traveling with P-man is pretty sweet, especially in Europe as Paavo can speak perfect English, perfect French, Finnish, and some German and Sweden so no matter where you are you are covered. He always has the best techno music pumping and has travelled so much over the years can take you to the best restaurants, bars or mountains no matter where you are. The old Euro Rossignol trips used to get pretty hectic when JF, Richards, Benji, Tadashi, EEro and myself got into partytime, and Paavo would ususally win best partyer of the night. And the next day, it is a scientific fact that he can out-shred anyone, especially in a good park which is pretty crazy to watch. Check out his new Endeavor shred stick which is out now, P+E, and keep some extra blankets on your couch cause you never know who might be sleeping over!
