beaulieu-wins-1.jpgyes you know its true! gnarcore.com's own Craig Beaulieu took yet another golden tie off of the "you look good" contest people this last saturday at Martock in Halifax. (well actually the tie's white..but you know). Richard Roth was nice enough to send us these epic stills he snapped of Craig on the podium. Thanks Richard! Not only is Craig the poster boy for the You look good contest series but he's won so many of them that when Craig signs up now they just give the guy all their money...it's true! they even empty their pockets and start throwing car keys and watches at the guy. Damn we sure now how to pick 'em.beaulieu-wins.jpgBeaulieu is also leading the "You look good" series contest points right now with a whoping 1000. I don't really know what that means but it sounds really impressive. Perhaps he can trade the points in for dollars and we can all go to Mexico!!!hmmmm?well. thanks craig! now stop kissing that dude and get back home and buy us all beers.

If you want to see my T get made and have a chance to own a limited edition first ever furious T leave a comment below saying "Get er done". If I get 50 positive T comments we're going ahead with it and those who helped make it happen will get first dibs on this very limited run. This could be the first of many great T's. We haven't announced this unitl now so pay very special attention. We printed one very special Still Bastards DVD cover which looks like this:

If by chance you've ordered a Still Bastards DVD online and it features the Benji/JF GT doubling shot for cover art you've just won yourself plus one a night in Paris. We're not talking Paris France what you've won is one night of partying, which also includes a cozy spot on the floor at JF Pelchats Whistler hostel in Emerald. This dream night come true of "french style" partying can only be attained through copies of the Still Bastards purchased through the www.isdsgn.com site. Good luck. Either way you' ll need it..

Squamish news: Muriel "Kale's Grandmorther" has just recently founded a theatre night which is held every Wednesday at their Squamish home. When asked why she responded " I wanted to give Kale and his snowboard buddies something else to do besides wasting their time with those funny cigarettes and facebook".

Photographed below: Mikey, Paavo and Jbone exploring theatre at the Stephens' house.

The groups rendition of the classic "The Wizard of Oz" will premiere at the squamish rec centre at the end of the month. Keep posted for details.

The "Still Bastards" teaser you didn't see...Plus more..

Here's the first Still Bastards teaser which I've just realized we haven't yet featured on the furious blog. Shame on me. Its a beauty, enjoy.

Lets just say the "Still Bastards" trip got a little out of hand!!!

Eight free flats of Sol courtesy of Brad Barns and $1000 dollar liquor store run courtesy of Red Bull and we were off to Big White for a trip that little did we know, would change us all forever. I can't really get into the details yet but lets just say everyone in Big White now knows of JF Pelchat and they either love him or hate him. By the phone calls I've received the last couple days its leaning a bit more on the hate side of things but we're working on changing that. Aren't we JF. Keep posted for photo's, video and stories from our trip.

Holly sh*t.  That pretty much sums up everything that happened on the Paint the Town Red Ottawa Road trip.  The crew, consisting of riders Trevor Jennings, Kyle Taylor, Kevin Scriver, Will Johnson, Alex Beebe, Tyler Ashbee, Jamie Corneal, Brock Mills photographer Rhys Hastings, film maker Adam Bialo and myself, Stuart Britton all meet up on Thursday night in the middle of a wicked snow storm and hit the extra slippery highway in Oshawa to begin our road trip to Ottawa.  (Actually we stayed in Gatineau but whatever). Our drive which would usually take 3 hours turned into a 5 hour journey due to the brutal driving conditions.  We rolled in at 3am and crashed.  Up on Friday at 730 to get some McDs breakfast and start scopping out some urban spots in downtown Ottawa.  With a bit of luck and some local directions we were able to find some amazing rails, bomb drops and some unusual urban landscape to destroy...and I do mean destroy!  The crew ripped the hell out of everything they touched pretty much all weekend.  After a long day of slaying everything we went and grabbed some dirty food, cheap beer and headed back to the hotel rooms for some epic Guitar Hero!  Not only can these guys shred they can rock the fak out!  EPIC!!!  Wall rides in the hotel were another high light of the night as well.  After a good night of chillin out we were back at it on Sat morning.  We ended up going to an amazing location and breaking up into smaller groups to get more done.  And the plan worked out great.  Some peeps hit the rails, some wall rides, some bomb drop and another a giant wall slash!  Ottawa was killed again...two murders in two days.  Sat night consisted of Le Pigale... I wont even get into it cause I could write an entire novel on just that Cabaret!  DAMN fine and out of control.  Also downtown Ottawa was a hot spot Sat night.  Sunday a few of the riders (Alex Beebe, Will Johnson, Tyler Ashbee) stuck around with photographer Rhys Hastings to shoot some more film and stills while the rest of us nursed hangovers and ate a great breakfast and headed back home.  Rhys got daring and almost died for his efforts on some gnar rock gap drop...but he's ok people...the back drop to flat couldn't slow him down.  All and all...Ottawa was a dope trip filled with amazing riding, crazy parties, good friends and a lot of fun and laughter.  Check back to Stub_Films profile for video and some photos of the trip to be posted soon.  Also make sure you check out photolishus' profile and www.photolishus.com for amazing photos shot by Rhys Hastings from this road trip and much more.

My Blog: Baldy pow
By: ScottyDearin

Switched things up and rode Baldy today.  All the morning snow reports showed no fresh and pretty blah webcams but once we got to the hill, sweet peanut butter pie it was snowy!  They're probably gonna fire the snow report guy because it was dumping and there was uber dry fresh pretty much everywhere you went.  We made fresh tracks all day long from 9 til last chair.  Tried to get some slasher shots but it was kind of white light so they didn't turn out as well as they could have.  Awesome day though...I think I'll go back for some more tomorrow...

Well here we are. Distort Enterprises is on the scene. We will be holding demos in Zermatt in a couple of weeks time so keep your eyes open.

We will be on the look out for Junior & female sponsorship for boards this year, so lets hope you are the one of the lucky ones we pick up.

The Timelord limited edition range from Distort Enterprises will be available to purchase end of next week but you will need to be fast as there are only 100 in each model and we already have quite a few pre orders.

We just received the following feedback from independant board testers running the Guantlet on these boards in Zermatt.

" The man from Zermatt-monte, he say's yes! Phil and I went out shredding yesterday. Phil rode the Timelord 155 almost all day with me in hot pursuit. What can we say? Its a great little board! Very forgiving, but capable of a good turn of speed in the right hands and fun for generally jibbing around the resort. Phil and I clocked 51MPH on the gps a couple of times! Phil did find the limits of it carving capabilites a few times, and also managed to flex the front up so high he tipped over the back! Very amusing and caught on camera. I had a go for a top-to-bottom run and it flew. We have the whole run and lots of other footage on helmet cam. Will try and get some stills in the board park if we can before I leave, but it depends on Phil's work shedule. I think it is really good beginner to intermediate board;very aggressive riders will however find the limits. Great on piste and in the board park. I guess in summary, it is a really fun board to ride. Phil and I both had our best days boarding for years. oh yeah, and not one skier or boarder overtook us all day!!!!!"

Still Bastards!

Just incase you wanted to know:

Fall 2007 is slated to be a big year for long time and new Wildcats fans alike. Almost a decade since the release of “Lil’ Bastards” Wildcats and IS Design have teamed up to present “Still Bastards” the sequel to the video that kick started the Wildcat legacy.

Rumors of a sequel were leaked late 2006 to numerous magazines and websites around the world. To know surprise these rumors were met by extremely positive feedback proving snowboarding may just be getting a little board with the “cute and cuddly snowboard films” that have become the norm. Still Bastards is ready to be shake things up with its unique brand of un-classy, chaotic, high energy and most likely offensive film style.

You can believe this highly anticipated sequel will be crammed packed full of late night antics including but not limited to: extreme radness, excessive drinking, the damaging of public property, insults directed towards innocent people, horribly good dancing, the invasion of personal space, smart ass remarks, drunken mumbling, terrible rapping, beautiful women (hopefully) and an overall talent for poor decision making. All this action will of course be peppered with hotshot stunts performed by a world-class cast of snowboard mega stars and the up and comers eager to carry the torch.

In keeping with the cult classic “Lil’ Bastards, we’ll be exposing viewers to up close and personal rider video parts as well as giving them an all access pass to exclusive behind the scenes footage contributed by the riders themselves.

Still Bastards will follow the same formula as Lil’ Bastards and remain a rider driven movie with Devun Walsh and JF Pelchat at the helm. This project will primarily be filmed in digi with some 16mm film and have a running time of 20-30 minutes. There will be magazine ads, articles and web sites creating awareness for Still Bastards throughout the year. In addition to the year-end DVD we plan to turnout multiple teasers posted on various websites promoting the project throughout the season leading up to the films September 2007 release.
