Shred news, latest stories, scandalous photos, gossip and up-to-the minute rumours
Well well well, where to start?

Yes, the JumpCamp season is officially over. We had an amazing year with five wicked camp sessions and even had a bonus session at the end of April because of all the snow. Campers came from far and wide to progress their shred skills and strengthen their freeriding skills and man, did they. Everyone loved the new obstacles in the park and took full advantage of them. We even got snowed on during the bonus camp. Fresh powder in April?! I mean c'mon, fuggedaboudid! Keep an eye on the photos section of the site for the rest of this year's pics and footage. Thanks to everyone that shot photos during the camps.

It's BBQ time!
Camper Lex hits the polejam with style.

See, snowing... Told ya.

Coachman Ole Larsen showin' some campers wassup.

Coach Update ( like anyone cares )
This time of year all the bros go their seperate ways working and taking care of business to pay for trucks, sleds and sandwiches for next year.
Myles is off in the interior of BC treeplanting. Haha poor kid...
Doug is in Cali making $ at skatecamp. He might even move out of his Dad's house this year.
Ole is "working" on Denman. He's planning on converting his mini dumptruck into a snowcat for next year.
Patrick just got some metal taken out of his ankle so he's layed up for a few weeks reading gardening and landscaping books.
Matt, Joe and Morgan have been tubing down the river in wetsuits.

Last Shred On Forbidden
The season's have finally changed and it's been real hot lately on the Island. Everyone's in summer mode getting their bikes, hawaiian t-shirts and skates out. The snow on the mountain has been melting fast so we thought we better take advantage of it and ripped up Forbidden for one last shred.

As you can see, not too much snow at the bottom of the hill.

Coach Joe Conley enjoying the Forbidden Plateau driving range. Joey is extremely excited about integrating more golf  into JumpCamp  for next year .

Coach JoeCon goin' for a dip in the pond with the mutts.

Coach Matt Trigg working on his tan. The Triggerman looks real good with a bronze glow.

JumpCamp is expanding! We're getting into the mountain bike game with skills camps and tours coming out this summer. Keep posted at JumpCamp.com for more info.

JumpCamp movie coming out next year! Yes, my friends we're finally editing all of our footage and putting out a shred flick so keep posted for premiers, parties, etc in the fall...  It will most definitely shock and inspire all viewers.

JumpCamp Art Contest
We want you to rip, steal and recreate JumpCamp's name, face and logo (which is available in the photo section at www.myspace.com/jumpcamp or go to www.facebook.com and become our friend by searching Jump Camp ) and make your own banners, wallpapers, emoticons, etc... The time is now! Get involved.

Hello everybody, it’s time for a new O2 Blog. As I told you in the last Blog, I was going to an North American EastCoast Trip with Isenseven for 3 weeks in february. We were a pretty big and good mixed crew of 6 Riders, one Filmer and one Photographer and our idea was to rent two RV in New Jersey and drive up the whole Eastcoast up to Montreal and stop at some areas to do some Urban riding or whatever we find to hit with the snowboard. So after our long journey from Europe we started our trip with holidays, left our boardbags closed and spent 3 days in New York. Our Isenseven „Daddy“ and Filmer Vincent was the only guy of our crew who has been to this amazenig city before and he showed us around... the time in New York was great, we spent our time on top of the Rockafeller Cemter, Times Square, in crazy good Night Clubs and Gay Bars, visited a OK GO Concert, ate good food and spent a lot of money for new clothes... I took a few pictures with my O2 Nokia N95 cellphone for you. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket After the 3 days in New York we where a little bit sad to leave this great place but also excited for the next chapters our trip will bring. So we drove to New Jersey to get our rented RV’s, went to the Grocery Store to buy a lot of food and booze Photobucket And drove 6 hours up to our first destination Burlington, we had pretty good luck with the snow because as soon as we arrived it was dumping very hard and it was getting colder. Our American Rider in the crew Travis Limogue who used to live in Burlington showed us around and we got pretty sweet stuff done... and even delicious self-made hot dogs Photobucket Photobucket After a few days we continued driving and went up to Montpellier a small town one our away from the canadian border, there we visited some friends in the Rome Office, the Sugarbush Mountain Resort and some other guys who gave us some information about Rails and Urban Stuff, but we just spent less time in Montpellier because it wasn’t too good and we wanted to continue to drive up to our last Destination upper North, Montreal. Photobucket We spent the most of our time in Montreal because there was so much snow and good spots to hit with the snowboard. We also had a few pretty nice guys like JP and his friend in the Skateshop and Guilliome. Big props to those guys for helping us out so much and showing us around. But unfortunetly inbetween our Rail Sessions, great food experiances, Card Games and Sauna visits. Chris Patsch broke his wrist while hitting a Ledge in Montreal on his birthday... but we went out for party with him anyway this night, this evening was just amazeing weh ad such a good party with nice people, Champaign and a lot of Vodka. After our long time in Montreal our trip was going to end, all of us where pretty exhausted and really looking forward for a shower and a real bad so we left Montreal a day earlier and drove the down to New Jersey in on day to have our last day and night in New York again. Which was going crazy in the Annex. All in all, it was a great trip! Photobucket In a few days I am leaving for another Isenseven Trip to Colorado, you can read how this trip is going to be in a few weeks. Keep watching my profile and I wish you a great March. well it's getting to be summer and i haven't posted in here in forever and i pretty much haven't used snowboard.com for much of anything in a year or two. but i'm back for now and i'm gunna re-do my profile and crap so it'll be sweet. pretty much....... this past season was amazing. i rode a ton, met a lot of awesome people, rode with a lot of awesome people, learned a ton, and became part of something that's pushing my riding even further. i'm bummed that the season is over and i'm bummed that i'm not going back to snowboard camp this summer. but i'm ok with it... through my trip there last summer, i learned that i can actually do a Lot of stuff on my board that i never thought i could do, if i just suck it up and try it... i also learned that riding with other people helps me out a TON with learning everything... so yes. it was a good season, besides being out a bunch of random weeks from a ton of random injuries.

this summer i'm gunna go crazy wanting to ride and i still haven't quite figured out what i'm gunna do about it this year. paintball is always a huge adrenaline rush for me but i can't do it nearly as often as i snowboard... i want to get those friggen ollies down while moving and learn to skate bowls this summer. i also want to get some freeline skates. if i had the money i would buy a kite for my wakeboard so i could go kiteboarding.... but those are crazy expensive. i just wanna have a lot of fun this summer and try a bunch of new things to push my limits.

unfortunately it's really hard for me to find ANYTHING that compares to snowboarding. i'm addicted to the adrenaline and oddly, getting hurt makes me want to go at it again and really nail the trick. i do alot of things during the summer that are really fun, but most lack the whole adrenaline thing. there's a little adrenaline with freebording.. it's mostly just fun though. street surfing doesn't create any adrenaline except for the 5 seconds before riding over the railroad tracks. skimboarding.... meh. it's not challenging anymore. fun, yes. but i don't feed off any part of it. aggressive skating... i could get into that again if i lived closer than 2 hours from a skatepark. skating around the street by myself got really old a few years ago. paintball creates crazy adrenaline... but it's not something that you create yourself like when snowboarding. unless you go rambo running out in the open shooting everyone you see and trying to dodge everyone's paintballs. i guess i tend to do that a lot though... i can't wakeboard anymore cause we don't have the board anymore. i'd like to get into rockclimbing.... i dunno i guess skating is the only thing that would keep me good till winter but i'd rather start off with that in a skatepark. and again, it's far away. so yeah this is my dillema. i'm addicted to snowboarding and i'm addicted  to adrenaline and there's usually quite a lack of both during the off season. and it's crappy!

next season i'm planning on  bumping everything up a notch. i've learned all the basics of everything so hopefully i'll get myself to take em to bigger things. should be interesting..

anyway buy this film www.iheartsnowproductions.com bye bye

Hey Crew
Had such a rad first week on the job with Folklore Skateboards last week.
I smashed my weekly target actually i doubled it so the boss was stoked.
The week started with a road trip up to Gympie and the sunshine coast and just about everyone i saw up there was amped on me being the new rep for Folklore. Then i came home to a fresh shipment of stock and then i made some calls around brisbane and the response was the same.
I went and saw slayer on the thursday night which was definately the highlight of the year so far and i'll be posting some pics in the next couple of days.
Friday i spent a shi*t load of money on my car just trying to keep the f*ckin thing on the road is always expensive with a couple more stops at skateshops around the goldie as well.
And then on Friday arvo i went and got my first tattoo. Which alot of you would know is about time i'll post a photo sometime soon. But for those of you who are old skateboarders its a graphic from vision from the late 80's called the contortionist.
You would think the week would end there on a high note but no off to the Mini Grass track nationals on the sat which was also at the same place as the FMX Nationals so saturday was heaps of fun as well.
And to tops things off my football team the Broncos won against the Knights last night so i'm so stoked this morning its hard to focus on the job at hand.
I hope your all well and remember check out the guys that support me they're all listed above this blog...
Cheers
Leigh

My second blog:  My friend just went off to the army, i am not sure when i will see him again. We had some hard times but i am glad that we got to set aside our grudge in time to hang out for about a month before he left. His brother isn't doing so great and his girlfriend is upset. Me... im ok for now, it will probably hit me in a few days when i realize we wont be hanging out for a long time. But for now  I am going to worry about work and just keep living my life until i hear from him or until he returns home. I am not sure when that will be since he is a full time soldier, but until then i will keep in touch with his family, cause they are like a second family to me.

Well, lets see..... first off This is my first blog umm apparently i love to skate between my job, church, and helping my dad out, all i do is skate, some days im tired so i just stay home and catch up on a few tv shows. There is a new one called Heroes its freaken awesome so far, Smallville is pretty cool ive always been a fan of Superman since i was a kid. A great show is Supernatural. that is my favorite tv series.
I dont know what  else to talk about. i guess music, i am going to start playing the drums for our church, i am the drummer of our band (sacrificial blood), but we suck right now and We are looking for a guitarist if anyone who lives by cleveland Oklahoma sees this then maybe you can help us out. I am 19, our bassist (dumassokee88) will turn 18 in December, our singer is 16 if u have any questions about our band ask me or our bassist.
If u have questions about me, but do not want to ask me, ask my sis (supercourtney), she will tell u anything u want to know about me, well i guess thats basically it everyone have a nice day and get back to me if u want.keep ur head up and look to God, if ur not religious then just dont let anyone walk over u. Im not the smartest person ull ever meet, but i can be a great friend to whoever needs one, or if u have one then it wont hurt to have another, but dont forget to live big, dream huge, and rock out

OH BOLLOCKS! I find myself in that shi*tty point in life when I can't skate as much because of Work, School, and Personal Life... Well really anyone can make time for anything as long as they love it enough, but I can't cut back on a lot things; so I can't skate. I guess that's the difference between somone that skates and someone that lives to skate. I don't know how people do it full time, that's a huge commitment on something that might not work out being your career. Oh well whatever, just keep doing what you love and i love to skate. That's all that matters in the long run.

Alright so since you cant snowboard I suggest all getting out on your wakeboards. Or skates. cause wakeskating is bomb and is taking over Kawag. Also I would like to add that drinking long island ice tea while boating and boarding may be a hazard to your health and a safety risk, but try it, becuase you will get some good kicks out of smashing your face in the water. Also, getting random tattoos becuase you are bored in Wasaga, also a good idea. Sorry mom!! Thanks Alyss. Hahah.

My Blog: LONGBOARD RACE
By: LBC

King of The Forest 2006

By Rocky Anderson

Located between Lynn Headwaters Regional Park and Mount Seymour Provincial Park in North Vancouver, the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve comprises roughly one third of the 18,000 hectare Seymour Watershed.

Within minutes of downtown the reserve contains some of the most impressive and diverse landscapes in the Vancouver area.  Previously known as the Seymour Demonstration Forest, (Demo forest) and renamed in the spring of 1999, almost 25 miles (40 km) of roads and recreational multi-use trails run through the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve (LSCR).

This forest is one of the most beautiful places I have ever had the pleasure of riding my longboard in. We still call it the Demo Forest even though officially the name has been changed. Nestled in this forest is a 10 kilometer paved path that winds through the trees with breathtaking views, creeks, wildlife and a few nice long rolling hills. This paved path is closed to motor vehicles and used by all manner of recreational activities such as bikers, walkers, joggers, rollerbladers etcAfter spending some time riding with friends along this path, I was sitting down with my good buddy Tony Bag of Donuts Moberg discussing the possibility of developing a unique event for the Vancouver longboard scene and he suggested that we think about the Demo Forest. This was the birth of The King of The Forest 20k Longboard Endurance Race. The first year we decided that begging forgiveness was easier than asking for permission so we ran The KOTF as an outlaw race. The race went off without a hitch and the awards ceremony/after party was an absolute blast. However, a few days after the event I did receive a letter from the man in charge at The LSCR. He was not happy with our outlaw race. I wrote him back and in my letter I let him know that we would like the opportunity to learn how to use the reserve responsibly, (Begging forgiveness). They set some simple guidelines for us and we met them.

July 7th 2006 we met at 6:00pm at the gazebo, near the starting gate for the race meeting. The energy level was high, the anticipation strong. Standing by, prepared for the worst and hoping for the best were The Saint Johns Ambulance volunteers. Along the course, racers would find five race course Marshals dressed in red KOTF t-shirts, armed with two way radios. In the flats there were water stations that Im sure all the racers were happy to find. This is a grueling 20 KM race against the clock; not for the casual cruiser. The first heat of four left the gate at 6:30 sharp. The remaining heats followed in two minute intervals. Again, this race went off without a hitch and we raised close to $1000.00 for a local humanitarian organization called The Harvest Project. Each racer paid a $50.00 entrance fee with half of that fee being donated to the local charity.

Last years second place winner Mathew Haines was crowned King Mathew with a record breaking time of 44:29, beating The defending champion King Brians record of 47:50. King Brian fell into 9th place with 51:37. Last years third place winner Hugh Kibbling Johnston moved up a spot to take second place with 47:06.  Matt Hoodie Shaw also moved up from 5th place last year to claim 3rd place with 47:26.

Good times had by all and another KOTF goes down in the record books. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the racers, the guys at The Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve and the sponsors (Landyachtz, Rayne, Redneck, OSB, Skull Skates, Wickwinder, Concrete Wave, Spectrum Skatepark Creations & Lonsdale Board Co.)  Special thanks to Tammy Anderson, Ari Barnes, Tim Watson and all the volunteers for a great event. Who will be crowned King of The Forest next year

Chris Dufficy, IS Design and Absolute Poker have teamed up to create the shred poker tournament of the year. What's more is that the tournament is absolutely free to enter. Keep posted for details on how you can win a bunch of IS gear and a trailer load of cash MONEY!

Duffs on his way to the Team Challenge Monday. He's still recovering from knee surgery so it's more showing his team spirit than to get radical but don't count the radical out when it comes to Duff.

The Iraqi Hockey Player
A joke only a Torontonian can appreciate!
Toronto coach Pat Quinn sends scouts out around the world looking for a new center to hopefully help win Toronto the Stanley Cup, (or even the odd game maybe(EH!!!!) One of his scouts informs him of a young Iraqi center who he thinks will turn out to be a true superstar.

So, Pat flies to Iraq to watch him, is suitably impressed, and arranges for him to come over to the Air Canada Centre.

His skates need sharpening...because of the sand, you know.

Two weeks later, Toronto is down 4-0 at home to Montreal with only 8 minutes left. Pat gives the young Iraqi center the nod to go on, and he puts him on in place of Sundin.. Well, the lad is a sensation, scores 5 goals in 8 minutes and wins the game for Toronto.

The fans are ecstatic, the players and coaches are delighted, and the media love the new star.

When he comes off the ice, he phones his Mum to tell her about his first day in the NHL.

"Hi Mum, guess what?" he says. "I played for 8 minutes today, we were 4-0 down but I scored 5 goals and we won.Everybody loves me, the fans, the players and the media, they all love me".

"Great," says his Mum, "let me tell you about my day.

Your father got shot in the street, your sister and I were raped and beaten, and your brother has joined a gang of looters, while you were having a great time".

The young lad is very upset. "What can I say Mum, but I'm so sorry".

"Sorry!" says his Mum, "It's your damned fault that we moved to Scarborough in the first place!"
