Holy crap.. Did you see that Party Snake teaser yet? If so there's really only been two responses. 1. You loved it and can't wait to see more or 2. You hated it and wish it would die. There doesn't seem to be much middle ground on this on. Check out some of the comments I found on the Gnarcore site.

I'm still waiting on a revised teaser before I post it directly in the furious blog but you can check the rough version out on the Gnarcore site or find it on FB. There's some pretty funny comments there too:

To every girl I said I loved,
Now, I hate you.
Even if I've never seen your face in person,
I still hate you.
I hate you
For every Valentine,
We never shared.
For every love letter,
Thrown in a fire.
For every kiss,
I thought might bring us closer together.

Navy, Azure, Cornflower.
Call me every shade of blue.
I hate you.
For every car I've wrecked
Because the trees somehow remind me of you.
For every person I've f*cked,
To show that you mean nothing to me.
Just so you know,
I still hate you.

The sun is rising and the day begins,
With thoughts of evil hearted you.
Church bells ring off in a distance.
For every man, woman, and child,
Planning their perfect wedding,
To someone they haven't met yet:
I hate you too.
But you, my former lover,
It's you
That I hate the most.
It's you
Who rattles my brain day and night
Never letting me sleep
For more than an hour.
For every time I've said I was sorry,
I meant to say,
I hate you.

Good bye, Brandie. Best wishes, and good luck.
Sincerly,
Justin

Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
Suicidal thoughts
persist without you.

Up in heaven
Things are just fine.
You've got your goods
And I've got mine.

Breaking my heart
Must feel so fun.
Because it's done
By everyone.

Love is a word.
People are fake.
Sleep forever.
And never wake.

With just one gun,
One bullet will do,
You can change some lives,
And end one too.

It always starts out with a quick chat. Find out what we have in common. Then it turns into "I love you". You don't even know me. But I, stupidly, go along with it. And without thought, "I love you too." What the f*ck is the matter with me. I don't even know if love exists. Is tolerance the same as love or is it because we love that we tolerate? Hell if I know. But we keep chatting; on and off. And I think I'm falling for you. Emotions once lost, are now found. But you quit replying. And I'm all alone. Again. Devoid of human contact. I thought you loved me. You could at least tell me if you came to your senses.

Jeff Batchelor emerges with silver

Montreal February 23, 2008 (Sportcom) – Jeff Batchelor of Oakville, Ont., won the silver medal Saturday in the men’s halfpipe at World Cup snowboarding competition at Gujo-Gifu, Japan.

It was Batchelor’s second career World Cup medal. In February 2007, he won gold at Sungwoo, South Korea. He came close to victory on Saturday finishing within 1.1 points of victor Kazuumi Fujita.

In the final, Batchelor collected 41.1 points on his first run while Fujita took the gold with a 42.2 mark on his second run. Gregory Bretz of the U.S., was third at 38.7.

‘’This is wonderful, even though I’m a little banged up,’’ said Batchelor, who didn’t finish his second run.

The event was held in a snowstorm.

‘’When we got here this morning I knew it was going to be a difficult day. It wasn’t easy with the snow. But I’m from Ontario, so the conditions were familiar. Maybe that’s why I did so well.’’

Justin Lamoureux of Squamish, B.C., also reached the final and finished fourth at 37.5. It capped a successful trip for Lamoureux, also sixth at this season’s Sungwoo stop last Saturday.

Gabriel Dussault of Donnacona, Que., missed a berth in the final by 0.2 points ranking seventh in the second round of qualifying. The top-six from each qualifying round advanced to the final.

Dussault wound up 13th overall while compatriots Crispin Lipscomb, Brendan Davis, Ryan Bausch and Charles Reid were respectively 17th, 28th, 31st and 37th.

Iouri Podladtchikov of Switzerland remains the halfpipe World Cup leader ahead of Ryoh Aono of Japan. Lamoureux jumped from 15th to seventh while Batchelor is 11th.

No Canadians in women’s final

In women’s competition, no Canadians advanced to the final.

Katie Tsuyuki of Squamish was 10th in qualifying which was a career best World Cup result. Charmaine Ironside was 12th, Dominique Vallée 13th, Sarah Conrad 15th, and Alexandra Duckworth 20th.

Zhifeng Sun of China won the gold medal with 34.3 points. Soko Yamaoka of Japan was second at 32.9 and Manuela Laura Pesko of Switzerland third at 32.2.

‘’This was very good preparation for the events in Calgary and Stoneham’’’ said Canadian national team coach Tom Hutchinson.

Canadian entries for Sunday’s parallel giant slalom are Caroline Calvé, Alexa Loo, Kimiko Zakreski, Jasey-Jay Anderson, Patrick Farrell, Michael Lambert and Matthew Morison.

I remember when I was in elementary school on Valentines Day, everyone had to buy everyone else a Valentine. Ahhhh those blissful, ignorant days. Now I see the world for what it really is (yes, I know that sounds stupid and totally cliche). The world is just an economy. Living cost money. You buy the essences of life. Food. Water. Shelter, if you want to call that an essential. If you have no money, you are dead. Back to my point. Valentine's Day ... is a corporation holiday. They've brainwashed Society into thinking you need to show someone you love them by buying them presents that they'll throw away in a week or two. But that's not all. Then you have to get married. HAVE TO!!! 'Cause you gotta be the same as everyone else. You have to express your love through money! This isn't "love"; this is greed. "You don't love me. You didn't buy me anything shiny or expensive." What ever happened to the times when words like "I love you" were never spoken on a first date. Hell, not even the second date! Answer me this: when did "love" start referring to cake or shoes or some other piece of materialistic shi*t? When I was young, words had a meaning to them. Now it's, "Oh my God! I love your shoes!" Valentine's is no longer, and probably never was, about love; it's solely based on profits. Hallmark, Hershey, some jewelry company. These are the profiteers of the bogus, f*cked-up holiday known as St. Valentines Day. Making you believe your true love MUST buy you gifts to show how much they truly love you.

Maybe it's just because I'm single that I believe this; I know that many other single people do. Or maybe, just maybe, I'm right.

I love you. Now buy me shi*t so I can thank you and throw it away.

What's wrong with gay marriage? Marriage, in my opinion, is a civil liberty. Everyone is allowed the right to get married. If we don't discriminate against people applying for a job, then why should we discriminate in the act of marriage? A recent poll was taken and found that opposition to gay marriage is highest amongst the most religious. As I'm sure you know, these people believe that, according to the Bible, gay marriage is wrong. And for some strange reason, I'm reminded of "seperation of church and state". Hmm ... I wonder why.

A woman, alone, has the right to have an abortion. It's the woman who has to carry the baby for nine months ... and sometimes, those mothers don't survive. It's the woman's life who is most affected by a pregnancy.

august 2007

I…. Have the time of my life…
Taking Marty Kudelka's dance class!

Marty is one of the very best choreographers in the world.. He is directing Justin Timberlake's show all around the world and I met him while I was in NYC in august this summer.. I always loved dancing.. it s the one thing I always loved but never got the chance to get into.. or never took the time.. besides the party aspect of it of course.. but anyways.. Marty and his dancers.. while they are tour teach dance classes all around the world as soon as they get a day off! and I wouldn't have missed it for the world!

So here I am, in English Town at the Icon Dance Complex for my very first dance class given by the best dancers in the world! The first class was given by Nick Bass and he was way too good! I wasn't able to follow a single move.. but I was loving it! So I stayed for the second class given by Sky Hoffman.. and that one was dope!! He teached us some moves of Locking! Which is a super fun 70's west coast dance.. picture it: all dudes with huge pants up their chest with suspenders and exaggerating each move!! Hell fun! And I got lucky on that one cause Dana Wilson another pro dancer followed that class right next to me.. which allowed me to check her feet and gave me a chance to do some of the moves!! That class was for sure my favorite! Somehow it felt way easier by the fun of that dance style!! I had a smile stock up my face for the whole day after that! And I stepped to the side when Marty's class started.. it was quite impressive to see all these people following all these crazy moves! Insane!

Marty s got skills for sure!
And he loves snowboarding too! He went skiing for the first time when he was 25 in Big Bear Mountain.. holing ass through the whole park with the only solution crashing to stop! Then he learned how to turn and how to slow down.. Classic! Everything felt quite easy and he had a blast but after 2 days of skiing he decided to try snowboarding.. and that's where things got challenging he couldn't just go for it.. he had to work for things to happen the way he wanted to.. with crashing and the whole progression process.. and that's what made snowboarding interesting and fun.. since then Marty has been riding sick other spots like Mammoth and Whistler.. or Scotland!! Even though he seems to keep a quite bad memory of the Tbar that he wouldn't let go! His favorite grab would be a big suitcase! Yeah! Marty!!
Check videos of Marty's class! Soo sick! google him! he s got sick dance videos on!
And THANK YOU MARTY so much for the good times!

I had to get up around 4:30 to pack for three hour trip to Mt. Hood. My friends drove in around 5 to pick us up and then hit the road. The morning forecast was cloudy and mild. The other day I bought reflective lense and new beanie so I am as stoked as ever. Speaking of lense and beanie, we got to Hood around 8 as we paused for view of beautiful Mt. Hood above clouds and as we got closer, the weather was not as cloudy and mostly sunny. As everybody in van exchanged words for how humongous Hood is and snow coverage. Pulled into parking lot which was half full then put on the gear as we take deep breath of thin fresh mountain air. It was quite chilly. Everybody was done gearing up and headed to Wyatt East Lodge to stretch our bodies then to Magic Mile Ticket Center to buy tickets. Hit up the slopes afterwards. The first two warmup runs went really well because the snow was mushy. My friends did most runs through terrain park but I spent time shredding slushy snow down Palmer Snowfield to tune up for possible boardercross competitions next winter. All I did was work on speed and turning no matter how the terrain is like. Music is another thing to help me get in flow of riding. The Swedish band "The Knife" had me getting the adrenaline going. I started to get more comfortable with the snow conditions since it's not groomed but I got used to it anyways. Snowbunnies, music, slushy snow were the three things in my mind when it comes to riding in typical summer day which made me a day. Speaking of doing runs...I noticed the summer camp on private terrain. Kids and teenagers came in from as far as Japan, Europe, Nova Scotia. The female skier from Nova Scotia who was in line for lift passed by me giving contact even she couldn't tell that I was making contact too cuz of my reflective lens. I was starting to get the vibe feel of the atmosphere here at Hood. I kept getting more hyped as I grab more runs. I was killing every run better and better with The Knife beat. As hours passed by...my body was running dry due to elevation effect. I took break and headed to Timberline lodge to grab water then headed back for couple runs before it closed down. It was one of my best days of riding this year. I want to go back again. At end of day...I said praise to the three climbers who had their lives taken by horrible winter storm in December. God bless them and bless the mountain for what God has created. Let it be and respect the mountain. Justin

Bataleon rider Justin Lamoureux is always sending us stories and shots of powder turns when we are locked down tryin to get stuff done on time. Even if there is no snow in sight where we are he always manages to come up with epic powder stories of where he is. Usualy we just delete these mails cuz we don’t want to know ;-). But now that we are just back from a month of surf in Bali we can handle this report of Justin and Andy Finch and ice cold surf and helicopters. But damn, it sounded like another good one. "hi all, just got home from AK and it was pretty much the sickest trip i’ve ever had. the weather cleared up for the last few days and we got some good heli stuff in. snow was OK for the end of may. pow (like 4-6 inches) with gripable snow underneath but pretty variable so you had to watch out. we had to fly around a bit to find good lines cause a lot of them had slid during the last storm or were too low. we were flying around the cdn border where no one has flown before so they were all first descents. we got 8 runs on the first day in 4 different zones. super stoked. a couple of them were from the peak down to the main glacier in the valley making for some crazy long runs. so we had a super long fun day in the heli, then got dropped off at the beach (with the heli) to go surfing! it was sooo sick. our next day in the heli was super warm out (everything big was sliding) so we decided to scope a zone we dubbed kiddieland to hit some natural windlips and such. andy and i were getting heli bumps to hit kickers. one of the filmers was hangin out of the door of the heli and we were just lapping as fast as we could. we burnt all the remaining heli time with that then got dropped off at the beach again. the surf all week was pretty fun, usually about head high or just overhead to about chest high on the last 2 session (sat night and sunday morning). and usually pretty clean and super fun. i took a couple hundred photos i think, the photog we had with us took like thousands. the trip was just ridiculous.here is a photo that took of me surfing. I don't have access to peter’s shots yet (he’s got all the real riding and surfing shots). super dope trip. this was just the short version.. later. hope all is well. justin"
