SHREDUCATION IS NOW AIRING ON SATURDAY MORNINGS!

Thanks everyone for watching Shreducation the past two weeks on Thursday. If you missed any of the shows this season here is your chance to catch up and watch any of the shows you missed. Watch the team as they travel to New Zealand, Australia, Germany and Switzerland competing against the worlds best.

Now Sheducation is airing on Saturdays at 10:30 am ET or 7:30am PST on The Score. What's better than waking up on a nice Saturday morning and watching some Shreducation? That's a little early for our West Coast friends but if your up all night or have a PVR your set.

Episode 3 – New Zealand Part 2

The Team is currently in New Zealand for some summer training. After weeks on the hill the team takes a few days off and checks out what Queenstown, the adventure capital of the world has to offer. The team goes for a bungee jump, crashes the downhill luge and hits an ice bar. Next is the Billabong Slopestyle Jam and the boys are looking to make some moves and go for the podium. Jesse meets up with Lupe Fiasco and the team goes and watches a sick concert to cap off an amazing trip to NZ. This is an action packed episode and guarantees not to disappoint.

If anyone likes the show and wants to see a second season you can drop a line to the network here:

http://www.thescore.com/ScoreTv/contact.aspx

The Score reads all of the feedback and it really helps the cause of keeping Shreducation going.

My Journal: Christmas dinner
By: cazza21

For some reason, I volunteered to make Chrismtas dinner.  Mainly i guess I didn'T want to be all alone on Christmas.  When I talked to my mom on the phone, she said 'Do your friends know that you can't actually cook?'  Thanks mom.

But I am happy to say that I didn't give anyone food poisoning, and i think it turned out pretty well for my first christmas..... probably becuase i avoided making turkey! ha!

THanks to Jesse for the amazing stuffing and Ben for the Nanaimo Bars!! yummmy!!!

Inspiration is a wonderful thing, it's the origination point of art and encourages people to do the most amazing feats. Where to find inspiration, however, is not always clear and varies among individuals. Do you know where you find inspiration? What inspires you to do the things that you do? Sometimes that inspiration comes from less than obvious places.

The other day I went to the skate park with the Warrinator for our usual lunch-time "get away from work" session. On this day, my partner in crime was intent on doing a particular trick that he had tried many times yet could not find the courage to commit to it (concrete bowls are scary). Over the course of the session, he tried it a number of times and, from where I was standing, I could tell that he had it if he would only just commit to dropping back into the bowl. Each time he would come back to the starting point frustrated at the fact that he just didn't have the balls to do it. This went on for a while until we noticed a new face at the park; a female face. She immediately went over to the big bowl and dropped in a couple times to test it out, then proceeded to get her shred on Jason Jesse style.

You want to do WHAT to my knee pads?!?.While the Warrinator was busy checking out the new park resident, admittedly not at all unattractive, I decided to take a quick rip through the park. As I was cresting up onto the flat bank to stop, I saw Warren drop into the bowl and hit the trick he had been trying all session without any hesitation. As soon as he got back I laughed and said "Dude! You're in love aren't you?" I can't verify this but I think he might have blushed just a little.

On the ride back to work, we were discussing the new member of the Legacy clan. "You've found your new muse haven't you?" I said as we pulled into the gas station so Warren could buy smokes. "I'll be back in two shakes of the hot girl's knee pads" he said as he walked into the store. As he got back to the car, smokes in hand, I said, "I didn't catch that when you went into the store, did you say two shakes of the hot girl's knee pads or two shakes from the hot girl *on* her knee pads?" This was followed by laughter and much more conversation that was not really relevant to the point of the point of this article; notably:

  • Sometimes inspiration can be found in the most unexpected places.
  • Other times inspiration is in plain sight and gives you a strange feeling in your pants (as I think may have been the case with the Warrinator).
  • Although dangerous, hanging out at the skate park is a great way of meeting new and interesting people. Besides, when Warren and his new girlfriend are naked together, they can compare skate scars: "I got this one when I fell on my face, I like to fall on my face".

Well, that's pretty much all I have to say this week, however, the next time I find my own inspiration you can be sure that you'll be reading about it here. In the meantime does anyone know what that song is during the segment at Turf in Santa Cruz' Streets on Fire skate video? I'm pretty sure it's a Sonic Youth jam. Hopefully the answer will be forthcoming. Until then...

Keep shreddin' the GNAR!

Proud to announce that Bataleon riders Brett Butcher and Nick Visconti will feature in the all new ThinkThank project ” ThanksBrain” coming out this Fall. After many late night editing sessions, cut shots, and reliving the magical moments, Think Thank is almost set to release our fourth video Thanks Brain! It’s said that the human mind is the single most complex structure in the known universe and in “Thanks Brain!” we pay tribute to this. “Thanks Brain!” is a celebration of brain power, were the physical meets the mental and progression is reached through creativity. See this season’s snowboard adventures through the minds-eye of Sean Genovese, Lucas DeBari, Brett Butcher, Jesse Burtner, Gus Engle, Nick Visconti, Mark Thompson, Scott Stevens, Dean Barbier, Pat Milbery, Andre Spinelli, Johnny Miller, Ben Bogart, Blair Habenicht, Matt Edgers, and Jed Hoffman. Park & Pipes - Whistler Blackcomb: Blackcomb HL Park Going Off
By: whistlerblackcomb

Excellent snow conditions combined with outstanding building by the Park groomers has brought the Highest Level Park to an all time high. The HL Park is entertaining the top riders & skiers & blowing the on lookers minds. A new combo rail by the shack booter followed by the 50 foot flat bar plus there is another single pipe kink rail going in below that which will keep the jibbers challenged.

All the table tops have received some love and are now getting into the huge category. Looks like the weather will continue to hold the high pressure so more advancements will be made on the right line for the HL park along with more rails to go in. In the Nintendo Park extra rail and table tops have been added so there’s lots to choose from outside the HL Park. Park riding has never been so good, come up & experience it for yourself.

My Blog: My first BLOG
By: kevin_g

so im Stuck in selkirk manitoba with a busted arm, no car i just won 3 gs but i cant snowboard for a month n im losing my mind. Im planning a rail contest but the city just shut it down cause i want to have it on this existing rail down the street from PROPS (the cooliest snowboard shop!!!!!ahha n they wont waive the bylaw after i wrote a mass f*cking proposal. But im workin on an even better one now its gonna be in the city park next summer ill keep everyone posted on the progress. So back to the losing my mind part. Its like nov 5th ish im soo pumped to snowboard!!!!!! I scrape the crustiest snow from from anywhere possible setup the jenkiest rails get everyone out try so hard to get them stoked but its just not happening cause the setup is seriously lacking everything. So the next night i get a couple friends togeather n try doin it again well due to there lack of motivation n my way to much of i find myself jibbin this rail at 12;30 am by myself lol no joke ask dave. I get a flash of me takin a real hot one down the cement stairs on my head, so i un stap n crawl off the super sketchy droppin that could randomly fall over when ur on it,n have a beer. 5 minutes the cops role up wondering what the f*ck im doing by myself drinking nn snowboarding with a drop in n lights setup at like 1 in the morning. So i explain how my freinds lack of effort is what has me here solo. They look at me like im on f*ckin crack n tell me to have a good night n watch out for gangsters. So i do this same thing every night after the shop closes till like nov 20th. Then its off to banff for some real snowboarding n a wild contest on banff ave on my birthday nov 25th. So a couple days before the contest i go on a rail trip with kael, nash n jesse were i have a blast come back for the comp minus 25 i break my arm but get second super bummed but i got put on some wild morpheeen at the hospital so that was pretty rad. so i get told i need surgery n im f*cked for 2 months. well 2 weeks later in manitoba (fuk lol) i find out i dont need surgery n i can shred with my cast on x-mas. yyyeeeaaahhhh. so for anyone out there that can go snowboarding right now but isnt because they think were they r or the weather or w/e sucks u better go now because wait till ur arm is jacked n u cant do shi*t.SO to all go snowboard. well thast my first of many blogs wow its long hope it makes sense!!!!!!!!!!

Although Marty has been busy shredding up the Grouse mountain and hitting the lab with K-man from IS design working on weather patterns, he has suggested that we get a Jesse Fox update posted, and pronto! So here we go with Foxy. Although Jesse has a few shots in last year's Big Blind, this was the first full season he filmed for Whiteout. Most of his shots were filmed up in the Whistler backcountry, where Jesse lives throughout the winter months. As soon as the season is done, Foxy holds it down in Vancouver where he recently got a new condo set up. Jesse has been around for a while, and has switched it up from the contest scene over to concentrating on filming a tight movie part. He had a sick section in Wear It Well, and you can see most of his shots via digital photographs in the latest issue of Snowboard Canada where Foxy has a full on interview and the cover shot. Foxy shreds it up for Rome Snowboards and bindings, NFA clothing, Oakley, Grouse mountain and Budweiser. Check out the laser beam coming out of Fox's beer can, one of Foxy's go-to party tricks.
