Our Objective: To hold a series of events that brings British freestyle snowsports back to its roots.

The series will be a real chance to showcase present and future talent, using the best artificial freestyle parks in the UK and Europe. The series will bring together some of the most progressive freestyle scenes in the UK, and give them the chance to ride together as a community.

Why do we need Snowflex championships?

Snowflex® is the world’s premier synthetic snowsports surface in terms of realism. This has meant that rider progression is truly dramatic and this can be clearly seen in the quality of UK competitors now competing around Europe and the USA. The realism that Snowflex brings is also evident in commercial terms as the preferred surface of choice for refurbishments of old style slopes and the opening of new slopes worldwide. These new urban freestyle arenas are producing a huge number of Britain’s most talented riders in a very short space of time.

TheStore.WestbeachUK is proud to support Snow-Camp, a London based charity for kids who are not as lucky as some of us. The charity is entering it's forth winter, with another trip planned for Les deux alpes for March 2007. The charity started in 2003 with a mission to give inner city young people a chance to experience mountains and snowsports for the first time and in turn, develope life skills, confidence, and awareness.

Last April saw the biggest Snow - Camp yet take place. Sixty young people and staff from 9 different youth projects across South London travelled to Les Deux Alpes for a life-changing week of skiing, snowboarding and life-skills focused youth work.

The Store is teaming up with the Back-Up Trust in supporting those people with spinal injuries. If you would like to learn more about them please click on http://www.backuptrust.org.uk/index.htm

brad_durrant.jpgHow did The Back-Up Trust first begin?

The Back-Up Trust was founded in 1986 by Mike Nemesvary, a tetraplegic and former British and European Freestyle Champion and James Bond stunt double, whose life was devastated after he broke his neck during a workout on a trampoline in the mid 1980's. Despite being paralysed from the shoulders down, he was determined to get back to the life he enjoyed. An appeal was launched and, thanks to its success, the charity was set up to help others in a similar position.
