Been a while...
i'm kinda back.. at least, i'll check up every once and a while :P

Well i gotta say, my xmas was pretty good.. i had fun up in prince george, met my girlfriends family and did a bit of snowboarding up there.
Unfortunatly i also got severial chips in my windshield on my way back home.. i have oncoming traffic and those a**holes who just HAVE to pass everyone to thank for that.

I was home for one night and now we're headed to whistler, eryn, moeselle and I.
I'm stoked as hell about it.
I had a great time, met a lot of really cool people, got good and sloshed on more than one occasion, and had some of the best hangover breakfasts i've ever had :p

Now for the notso fun stuff;
My Girlfriend, who is now my X, was convinced that i was cheating on her up in whistler.. which i didn't.. but i couldn't tell her that. She got mad at me because i didn't talk to her for two days... and then apparently i was 30min late in wishing her a happy newyear.. i'm pretty sure that i called at midnight.. but i was so f*cking drunk.. honestly, she should be glad i called at all, lol.
Also, in regards to me sleeping around... it's a bit of a double standard that she holds.. she's an escort you see... and she's getting mad at me for sleeping with other people..

anyway. that's overwith now
and now i'm suffering through one of the worst colds i've had in years..
At least i'm not alone, eryn, kendra, joe, and bexx... lol..
For a moment there i felt bad about making fun of Steve's voice, when he was sick.. but then i got over it and sent him a death threat.

Anyway, my day went well.
We've made good progress on the elevator, and everything is finally going our way.

we'll add 90 gallons of oil tomorrow and fire her up.
perhaps we'll be gone by thursday.

Oh.. a little history; I'm currently working on the tallest hydraulic elevator in victoria, wait, no bc.. topped out by only one other elevator in calgary a 10 floor hydraulic.. it's insane.
consider the fact that the cylender and piston (device that does the lifting.. think of those rods that hold your hatch open on your car) needs to be driven into the ground 1 floor less than the building is high.. 9 foot average floor heights... well.. our piston was 68 feet deep. that's a lot.
the problem with this particular job, was that the hole was not drilled straight.. the water rushes in like a river, and there was somthing lodged in the hole about 65 feet down (16 inch hole diameter).
So they sent us in when everything went wrong to go fix it.. at least i know they have some confidence in us... unfortunatly for us that means we get all the shi*t jobs.. lol.

anyway, this elevator has been down for 6 and a half months.. we had a portable drill rig set up inside the building!!
imagine, if you will, a plume of water (remember, it rushes in like a river) being blown out the elevator hoistway whilst the poor (wet) bastards in the pit operate the drilling machine... INSIDE your building, WHILE you're living there. lol.

so we're happy to be able to give them thier second elevator back for xmas. :)

I'm going on vacation as of friday.
I'll be in prince george for a week and then i'll be coming back down to victoria, just in time to unload my truck, throw it all into eryns and then head up to whistler for newyears, where i'm sure i'll see a shi*tload of people i've never met, lol.
