Need to sharpen an 09 NS SL-r.
Posted on Mar 06, 2009

Hey everyone. I'm trying to do a complete overhaul on my board and the edges are horribly dulled and dinged up. What kind of tool should I get for this bitch?
Also, since I don't know much about wax, except how to apply it, I'm wondering what kind I should get for these lovely Spring conditions. I'd like to get familiar with OneBallJay waxes to start. Which particular model should I start with? |

Whats up with those extreme carving dudes.
Posted on Jan 12, 2009

I'm watching some old videos and I realized how hilarious and awesome it would be if I could carve so my body was parallel and inches from the ground.
The two dudes from Scream of Consciousness are making my day right now. Too funny. How can I accomplish this? What kind of board do I need?

Finally got to ride an SL-R....
Posted on Nov 09, 2008

Compared to my last board, this thing is a freak of nature. I have so much fun riding it. I've only ridden it for 2 days with K2 T1 Db's (awesomest boots eva eva) and 07 cartels (which suck so horribly, i hate them and want them to die) but I can definitely say that this is my favorite board for now.
Any tips on helping me get used to NS's r.c.? It is pretty interesing.
Also, when riding straight in flat and groomed territory sometimes you get knocked around because of previously laid tracks...well I don't feel that anymore. It rides over anything and just cruises.
Ollies are effortless, but I like that my tail isnt so loose. The tail stability complements the r.c. very nicely. I already can't wait to get out again. Good thing its suppose to snow on monday. :) |

Polarized lenses.

Are they worth it? I dont have the greatest eyes and the whiter light that reflects off the snow isnt comfortable for me
but do they make that much of a difference to justify $150 |

This dude told me that Breck and Vail are charging quite a bit for parking this season.
Posted on Oct 01, 2008

I was not happy to hear this. $20 at Breck and $35 at Vail.
Guess I won't ever be riding at Vail. It's ridiculous and pushes away serious riders. It seems like it's only adopted to rape the tourists.
I don't think Vail is a place for me anyways. I still would like to check it out, but I'm going to stay away based on principle.
Definitely getting a Winter Park pass next season. |

Just took an 09 NS SL 158 home and....

I'm pretty sure it's the nicest board I've ever owned. It has a really nice shape to it in comparison to some of my other boards. Emage gave me good service too. Free waxes and tunes for a year and 5% off for a small scratch on the top sheet. |

Boot suggestions??.
Posted on Sep 24, 2008

No super soft freestyle shit. I already own a pair of 32 slashed, so I would like to change from a boot that cant hold it's integrity for longer than a month to something a little more high quality. It's gotta keep that heel down deep as I have a tendency to get a little toe happy. |

Need a recommendation for a new setup.
Posted on Sep 21, 2008
 |
I'm looking for a setup thats more powder oriented and it definitely has to be able to handle big jumps. I have a park setup (152), but I want to have something thats more backcountry style. I'm only 5'7" 155. How much longer do you think I need to go? Is a reverse camber a good idea because I'm thinking that they're not if I want to hold my grip at high speeds and big landings. |
