About Me

What can I say I love to snowboard.  the hole mountain scene vibe is where I was meant to be.  To me being happy is snowboarding and snowboarding is being happy with out it I'd be another loser out on the street getting arrested for doing stupid s*** cus I'm bored.  Going to the mountain for a day of shredding then partying it up with all the locals is what keeps me going.

I'm soooo happy that thnks to Crusty I have this on footage!  It was one of those weeekends where I was working but had a bit of time in the morning to go ride and luicky me the conditions where hell... but I went anyways.  After that went to work and ended up getting off early to go ride.  when I got out it was complete chaos no fresh pow all ice and I was super tired but still pushed myself to ride.  So as I was doing my warm up laps I notice that the rock under the drop by the light post at the bottom of lodge was showwing seeing this I decide I have to do it and lucky for me I met up with the mountain leprechaun right as i was goin up the chair ... so he hands me a walkie talkie and I tell him what I wanna do and he says allright I'll let you know when I'm set up.  I stand there waiting to drop in knowing that this is a damn hard drop.  I'de have to carve up a bank of ice pop off right at the light down 25 feet and land on a flat surface.  Feeling as tired and drained as I was I was certain I was gunna bail.  Crusty gives me the go!  I drop in with really good speed, ride up the bank, pop off, and it was then I felt it.  The feeling of total perfect achievement. The feeling of glory.  It felt as though I was a snowflake falling from the clouds all light and fluffy with no similarity to any other.  I land, but as it happens I tilt back on to my tail.  I then had that feeling again like I was gunna be soon feeling the ice scrape across me as I slid.  But I just coasted with ease as if it was normal. I go for about a good 20 feet before bottoming out then spin around to see Crusty holding the camera giving the thumbs up.  He cruised down to me with the biggest lok of shock and amazement and said "That was frickin awesome.  that is now your rock no one else can ride that thing like you did!".  I honestly don't think I can amount to anything better then that for my that was the peak of my season tht was my one big thing.

i'm about to buy a new board!  that's about the most excitement i've had so far.  we were going to go out this weekend, but it's been 50-60 degree (F) weather this past week & the mountain's all muddy & slushy, so we're going to wait till next weekend...which just so happens to be demo weekend...lucky us!  it'll be mostly blown snow though with maybe a few inches of some fresh stuff.  i'm doin the snow dance though!

heh that reminds me of the psych experiment they always tell you about in first year... you have girls going up to guys and saying "hi, i've noticed you around, i find you very attractive. will you go to bed with me?" versus guys going up to girls and saying the same thing. turns out guys are more likely to go home with a stranger of the opposite sex. go figure.

the snow's started at mt washington, i'm super stoked. can't wait for the season to start!
