Need some advice on Boots.

I was wondering what brands I should be looking at and what boots are solid overall. Also wondering what price range I should be looking at for mid-range boots? (I know most of you are going to say just try on a bunch and see which feels best but I am sure that comfort and performance aren't always hand in hand and that some brands/boots are worth looking into)

Can someone point me towards some info on snowboarding?.

I haven't seen a "newbie sticky" or "useful threads sticky" but I am new to snowboarding and don't know much. I don't know if you know "paintballtechpb" on youtube but is there anyone like that who makes videos for newcomers. I am looking for both a buying guide (recommendations in my price range) and some snowboarding tips. I don't mind reading a lot but would like to find something geared towards newcomers.
