R.I.P. Brandon Lee Johnson #8 May 2,1988 - June 12,2003 " The last day of school is usually filled with laughter and plans for the summer.Unfortunately, this year at River Ridge, summer was filled with tears and grief over the deaths of a student.On the morning of June 12th, our last day of the 2002-2003 school year, Brandon Johnson, a freshman, passed away at Harbor View Hospital as a result of a paintball accident earlier that week.Johnson was involved in many school activites.He was the quarterback of the freshman football team; a third baseman, pitcher and outfielder for our baseball team; and a member of the step team and choir.Coach Steve Schultz remembers Johnson as " an extraordinary athlete and leader."This year the football team will wear Johnson's number on their jerseys to honor him.The baseball team will be doing the same.
