Rain,

in the city.

Makes me think of a few things.

I would be watching tele, and sipping on some green tea. but i haven't cable, and i really dislike watching TV. So that creates a little difficulty now doesn't it?

Instead, I constantly pace 'round my big ol apartment finding things to clean. Finding things that i haven't worn in a while, and finding out that my floor needs mopping.

Oh how sunday's......

Strange it is really....

But is depression normal for someone who just had a birthday?

The past saturday night i felt as if i wanted to run away, run away from all that is here. Including all that i know and all that is around me.

But the following sunday i had a great day, along with a great night at work.

Today? Mediocre....really blech, and really down for me NOW.

This dude needs some kinda drug.......what y'all got?

My encounter with a deathly allergic reaction.

My crash yesterday on my bike, led me to think that i ought to take some pain killers to releive the pain.

So i do.

So i sit and await the pain to go away.

Instead i feel itchy. and start to scratch.

Soon I can't breath very well.

And i can barely stand.

Thinking that this is really nothing major i drink water, and take a allergy releif pill.

10 minutes later, nothing.

I tell my friend that it's time for me to head to the hospital..but i really didn't think i could make it there. So instead we kinda went to a clinic...but then the clinic stated that they wouldnt have the necessary eq. incase i needed ressesetation.

So off to the ER i go.

waiting, and waiting, and more waiting. I had since gotten hives on my body, all over my body. and there was no nurse to be seen to admit me.

2 hours later, i finally see a trage nurse.[i couldh've died if i didnt see a nurse in time]

I get admited, and go straight in.

doctors see me, and more doctors see me, and tell me to hang tight while nurses give me shots and pills to releive the symptoms.

Pills and shots later. im sleeping in the hospital bed for a few hours.

this morning still have some marks from where i was scratching my back, and there is a lot. But now i know never to take those painkillers again.

It's been a week since I last gotten on my roadie.

Given that the weather is poor, and i've no gear to rock it in the weather, i need to do something to make the pain go away.

The pain hurts...as it should. Give me a chance to figure out how to rid of it.

***UPDATE***

I awake from my slumber at 0900 hours.

Decide that it was nice enough and dry enough to get on board my road bike. Do some errands, and have a coffee, because thats what i do.

Done all the errands i need, then i proceed to head home.

Here is where the real FUN begins.

I dont ride slow. My average speed is 30km/h, and i take corners at that speed as well.

But with fall here, and them leaves a falling to the ground, with prior rain fall, it equates to slick slick grounds.

SO's i ride home, taking this corner, a left hand corner with a slight decline....or in Rally terms, EASY LEFT.

Prior to this i had always taken this corner with a carried speed of 40+. today was no different.

The beginning of the corner to the apex, smooth. Passing two elderly people with no hesitation and no problem.

The exit of the corner....that is where the fun began...but i think ill let the pictures speak for themselve's.

Keep in mind that I slid for roughly 30 feet at this point.

This picture shows the control area....nothing seems out of the ordinary, but if you note that the right brifter, it is pushed towards the center.....it hit hard.

Saddle damage on left hand side.

Quick release damage.

LEft hand brifter, took the majority of the damage on the bike itself.

This is a head on perpendicular shot on the controls...you can see the force that was necessary to push that brifter in towards the cente.

My left elbow.

Left foot, left shoe.

My camel back took some damage as well....sliding on the strap for 30 feet totally shredded the strap and thus pack rendered useless till repaired.

This is the worst of the fall.....my left hip underneath my shorts and my boxers....how this happened i do not know.

I can't walk very well, and i have to work tonight, which involves walking....FUCT i tell you.q
