"Forgotten"

The day draws its blinds on the forgotten children.

Their voices wane unbeknownst to the drones, which carry on in their sphere of prosperity.

Seeking warmth and spelling truth for the drones to hear. Yet they never hear...They never hear the symphony of despondency that laden the night's desolate sky.

The fruits of our labor shan't grace the mouths of the ones who perish in the attempt of a tomorrow.

Who will be the redeemer?

The day draws its blinds on the forgotten children.

My gram turned 90 today. She is one classy sarcastic broad for sure. Now I know where I get my sense of humor from.

Helen Oliver priceless quotes:

When asked if she wanted a beer..."I've given it up, but I don't know why?"

"I only have one beer a day...right after my morning coffee." As she called it her "chaser."

Uncle Paul the loud obnoxious Italian New Yorker: "I keep a plunger in every bathroom."

Gram:"Hey is that b/c you're full of sh*t?"

Happy Birthday grammy you have taught me so many things in life but truly the most important thing you taught me was how to be myself. For this and many other things I thank you. You are one light that will always shine bright in my sky. We all love you very much.

ok so no one but sabina helped me out with my story so i guess i will wait on that one. bah! anyhoo being that i have been super busy at work as of late i am going to break out some old stuff. enjoy!

*i would also like to welcome miss liviya thoreson to NYC! we shall now be as one in our own little worlds here on the right side!*

"numb"
make me "feel" again
lonely nights and lonely days
keep me hanging on
my world goes round
i forge ahead
taking the bull by the horns
in hope of a better day.

"Moment of Weakness"

Stop,

don't look a minute in front of you to see what your fate is.

What you bare is not the answer, so find another channel because number 10 is already on.

These plans you've indicated to me don't seem too clear.

Static comes from your lips as you speak.

These avenues you drive down are the dead ends to your existance.

Make it all count for something.

You know, the sidewalks are safer in the end.

"Letter of discontent"

Pleasure in pain
I watch you burn
Self inflicted, yet you never thought twice
Don't deny.
Your fate was sealed on my letter of discontent
You received it
Don't deny.
Should have thought;
before you signed on the dotted line
These futile attempts to win me over,
won't save you now
Don't deny.
Your fate was sealed on my letter of discontent.

Group Story

Ok here's my thought...those of you who participated in mad libs, i am looking to you to help me create a peice of art through words. get your creative juices flowing and make this a good one.I want to collaborate with other people on a story.

My idea is that each person write 3 sentences about a chosen subject. i will give a subject for an opening, meat and potatas, and ending. you can chose to write 3 sentences for each section of the story or 3 sentences for just one. i will put it together with other people's and then in the end we shall have a story. i hope i am making sense?

HERE WE GO!

Intro
location: NYC
charater: Bud the dog
senario: looking for his mate
include: straw hat
cat
the song "relax" ( by frankie goes to hollywood)

Meat and Potata's
Include: garbage truck
fur coat
black squirrel
jersey city, NJ
human spit
CBGB's (it's a famous club)

Ending
include: fireplace
apples
knife
tape recorder
leather gloves
Bud has a smile on his face

ok i hope this works...i am just going to put all the answers together and see what comes out. good luck and thank you ahead of time to those who are going to participate! i will post this after the weekend.

Things to Ponder:

Why is it that the ride home is always faster?

Did you ever notice how psycho horse lovers are? equestrians are nuts in my book.

Why do we feel the need to sing along to songs we hate instead of changing the station?

Why is it that the action of going to work even when you love your job is totally sickening?

Did you ever notice that dog owners always look like their dogs?

Why is it when you have a dream about someone in particular they are the only person you think about for the rest of the day?

If you are shopping in Costco and you see a great deal on an oversized box of granola you feel the need to puchase it even when you don't eat it? BUT IT WAS A GREAT DEAL!

Why do people read my journals?

"Views From An Airplane"

The haze gives way to the multi-colored rectangles and squares below.
In the distance the cummulous and stratus arrange ever so stratigically into a faux ocean landscape. Like the W.E. Hill illusion of the young woman vs. old woman, I sit perplexed to see the truth.

The sun chases us as we turn back the hands of time, just to relive the 9 o'clock hour.

mountains start... mountains stop...

Unreachable patches of snow still linger in the highest reaches. Roads snake the ever-changing canvas.

The man to my right appears restless. Cries from a baby across the isle fill the dry recycled air. The most random of conversations float through the stale cabin, when if put together would make bizarre movie.

The sun is still chasing us, it's persistance will not go unnoticed. It will arrive just in time for landing. just in time...for a new day.
