saturday may 8th... arapahoe basin held a slopestyle comp. me and my friends went.. (bobby brad shawna) and entered.. it sucked, we were one of the last people to enter, so we got one warm up run that day.. we did alot of sitting. so we dug snow caves up the hill where we could see the whole comp course from.. it was good times. the set up was a flat down rail and a jump next to eachother, then either a hip or a bigger flat down box, then either a small box, a double barreled down rail, or a 20ft flat double barreled rail, then you could hit a jump and if you were lucky an up flat down double barreled rail. anyway.. i pretty much sucked alot, i did a back barrel roll on the first jump and slid out, so i ended up spinning around so i could go at the flat down box rail regular. then when i got the the flat down i did a 50-50 on the flat then nose pressed the down, but couldnt pull out for the landing so i lost a bunch of speed going at the flat rail, so i only completed half of that. then i had to hop up this hill to get to the drop in of the last jump, that sucked.. and then i did another lazy back barrel roll and ended up landing on my face, got some whip lash and a bloody lip. it was good times. oh yeah, im not very good at planning on eating things when i get up the hill, im usually just really excited that i'll actually be able to get up there, so i brought a thing of spaghetti and on our way up it popped open from the high pressure and everyone thought we had a flat tire, it was awesome. but then i smelt cold spaghetti and i looked down and i was amazed that it actually popped open.. it was crazy. so anyway later that day i ended up using a granola bar in its wrapper for an eating utensil... that was an experience haha. afterwards i ate the granola bar.. it was awesome. right now its 1:26 AM monday morning... and i cant sleep, so im staring at the computer screen hoping my eyes will get tired so i can get some shut eye.. if you read this im amazed.. i just wrote this to kill time.
