Step Child's waxing job.

Hi guys,
Stepchild make quite a point out of saying they was their boards before they ship 'em out, I was wondering if it is just the same old wax job as any other board, which means I'll have to wax it before hitting the mountain, or if they actually do a good job with this pre-waxing in contrast to other brands?
Anyone with experience on this matter?

Getting a snowboard and in need of advice.

Hi,
It's my first time buying a snowboard, have been renting boards earlier on, so I don't know a lot about gear.
My riding style is mostly freeride, but looking to add a bit more freestyle this year. Would say my skill level is 3/5 freeride and 0.5/5 freestyle. I'm looking to spend rougly 85 % of my time freeride, so obviously my board should be geared towards this, but prefer a board that would also hold up a bit freestyling.
Have gotten 08 rome 390 bindings, as they seem to fit both freeride and freestyle and they seem to be quality bindings.
I've heard good stuff about the Atomic Hatchet and it is a cheap board, you think this would fit this style? Or any other suggestions welcome.
I'm 5.7" and weight 162 pounds, appreaciate any help :)
