Rome 390 L/XL to big for DC PBJ 153?.

Hi everyone.
I would really like to get the Rome 390 binding, but problem is that I can only find in either size S/M or L/XL. Not the M/L which would be best for the DC PBJ 153.
I use boot size US 10 which accordingly is too big for S/M but I've that L/XL should fit from boot size 9-14.
I'm just worried that eventhough the straps will fit, the L/XL baseplate is bigger than the M/L so the result would be toe drag and/or heel drag.
Do you think the L/XL size would be too big for a PBJ 153 with a width of 249?
