I know the weather is kinda wonky, but does anyone know an estimated openning date for GE? Or any other hill around TO?

Thanks in advance!

Jaywho has created a new forum topic Darkstar vs Parkstar. Posted on Nov 05, 2009
Hello All,

I was hoping to get your advice on what the difference was between these boards. From my understanding they are exactly the same except the Parkstar is Rocker whereas the Darkstar is not.

I will mainly be riding in Ontario, smaller hills, ice etc downhill, hitting small jibs and whatnot, but will on rare occasions hit the park to ride a rail or whatnot. What board do you think would be a better fit?

Thanks for your help,
Jay

Hello Folks,

if you guys had the choice of one of these locations to travel to for a snowboarding trip, which would you choose and why? My options are Tremblant, Lake Placid / Whiteface and Stoneham.

Thanks

Jaywho has created a new forum topic Alien Workshop boards. Posted on Oct 14, 2009
Hello Folks,

I have inherited one of the old Alien Workshop boards. I was thinking of getting rid of it at a board swap but one of my buddies suggested keeping it for sentimental value. As I have no attachment to this board, is it even worth getting rid of, or is it only a piece of firewood at this point?

Any recommendations would be appreciated if it is worth selling.

Thanks,
Jay

Jaywho has created a new forum topic Indoor year round ski slope. Posted on Jun 03, 2009
I heard rumors that they would be completing an indoor ski slope that would operate year round in Niagara Falls NY. I tried to google it but could not find any posts providing details.

Does anyone have any info on this?

Thanks,
J

Jaywho has created a new forum topic When do you know it's time to sharpen the board?. Posted on Jan 11, 2009
Just curious if there are any signs that I should look out for so I will know it is time to sharpen the board. I bought a new set up this year, and have had it out around 10 times now. But I do not know what to look for to identify when it is ready. Any tips would help immensely.

Thanks,
Jay

Hello Folks,

is anyone aware if any snowboarding company is having a demo day in the Barrie / GTA area? If so, when are they having it and where?

I am a new snowboarder and am anxious to try new equipment.

Jaywho has created a new forum topic Suggestion on newbie setup please. Posted on Oct 10, 2008
Hello All,

I am a very new rider (only road once last season) but enjoyed it so much, I plan on doing it a lot this season. Because of which, I would like to purchase a whole setup, board boots and bindings.

My stats are

6'1
190 lbs
size 11 shoe

I am hoping to get a board that will suffice as a beginner board, but hopefully advanced enough that I will not need to replace it in a year. My goal right now is strictly ski hills until I get much better. Any help / advice is appreciated.

Thanks in advance
