After only a few days into this New Year. I noticed that its going to be a good year. I'm living my dreams, meeting new people every day... And I get paid to Snowboard! Its like I'm a pro, but don't have to throw down 360's. I teach adults how to snowboard, and found out that no mater how old you are... you can still laugh and have fun throwing snowballs at other people! When my students aren't motivated, all I have to do is make a snowball and they get up and do what I want them to do. I have had a few groups that will start a huge war on the mountain. Its so much fun! I love my job. It hasnt snowed in about a week but the conditions are still great. Today is the first day in a while that I haven't stepped into my gear and gone up the mountain. I think its laundry/random thing day. It should be good. I also think that I might want to go down to Van City soon. Anyone else wanna join me? or give me a place to stay? Well. im working a shi*tty shift this week at work... 12pm-8pm... all I get is admin work and its so shi*ty... copy/paste this, cut that... blahblahblah. I also get random e-mails from people who should not even have full time jobs! they should be in school learning that they are not important people!
But all my coworkers keep reminding me about the important things... like. I ONLY HAVE 7 DAYS LEFT AT THIS JOB! Thats right! I quit my $20/hour gov job to live THE life in Whistler BC. So let the count down start now! Tuesday next week. 4PM. I SHOULD be having a beer with my Whistler friends. So if you are in whistler on Tuesday(the 28th), leave me a message and we will all get together and get WASTED.

Well Boys and Girls… Let me just tell you a little something…
This past weekend in Toronto was EPIC.
Now the events only lasted a little less than 48 hours (and about 10 of those hours spent on a bus).
Some of you may have know that this past weekend was the Ski and Snowboard show in Toronto, as well as the Snowboard Canada party where they unveiled two new snowboard movies made by Forum and WhiteOut films. Not only that, but one of my good friends from this site finally moved to Canada! So we had a fricken good reason to party hard!
The actual events started on Friday night at midnight. JR_Barns and I met up at the bus station in Ottawa and jumped on the overnight bus to Toronto. We had a few drinks on the bus but not enough to get me drunk(he was already drunk). We rolled into T-Dot at about 5am. Now I don’t know if any of you had the misfortune of being in Toronto at 5am… but NOTHING IS GOD DAMN OPEN! JR and I decided it would be a great time to start walking around trying to find random things to do. We found some funny looking statues of animals and took some pictures… Also found some hummers and flipped them off. I think the nice thing about that time of day is that all the homeless people are asleep and they don’t bother you. But there was this ONE homeless guy walking around swearing as loud as he could and started yelling at JR and I, we just kept on our marry way. After not eating all night my stomach started to hurt so we decided to get some food in our bellies. We found the only McDonalds open at 6:30 and bought us some grub. When I got back from the washroom JR had a worried look on his face and said we had to leave right away. I couldn’t figure out why, but decided it would be smart to leave. He then told me that there was some funny looking goth kids and they where putting on gas masks so he didn’t want to take any risks.
I met up with Lauz at around noon. Who knew it would be so hard to find one another in the Eatens Center… We walked around Toronto in search for the Holy Grail, or the ULTIMATE CUP OF JAVA. It took us many hours of walking and looking at the map and asking some random guy for directions, but we found it! And it didn’t take 10 minutes for Laura to drop the cup and spill the contents on the ground. At this point we started making our way to the snowboard show. I didn’t really like it that much, it was a zoo, I couldn’t find any good deals and decided it wasn’t the best idea to spend all my money on gear until I can get the Pro Deals I need…
We ate dinner at this place named the RichTree or something, I cant remember. But it was yummy. I bought a nice plate of sushi and rum and cokes. Mike some how managed to find himself a GREAT deal on beer and got loaded before we even left the place! We continued on to the Snowboard Canada party and got WRECKEeeddddd. Having two Australians in a room with a bunch of Canadians is kind of funny. Everyone drank way more than they should have. *EDIT* Zee slapped my ass as if she owned it :( I felt special, I also felt dirty after the Cougar tried taking advantage of my dancing...
Oh! It was also Steve's Birthday and man was he DEAD DRUNK! lol.
After that I some how got convinced(didn’t take much) to go to an after hours party which was pretty fun. The evening ended at about 6 am when I rolled into bed fully clothed. So I was awake from Friday morning at 7am, and didn’t get to bed till 6am Sunday. With drinking, partying and a shi*t load of walking. GREAT TIMES IN TORONTO! Wish more people could have come out for it. And I wish I had pictures of the event… But no one seems to have any… lol
Okayyyyy IT DIDT IT AGAIN! f*ck THIS! my blog today was long, had funny things about the weekend, ottawa and stuff like that. But noooo the first time I post it it tells me 'a word in the title is too long' and f*cks up on me(Damn you flava flav!) And then when I try to re-write it. I hit save and it tells me the body is empty! I hate you snowboard.com. hate you. I even spoke about my plan to get in shape and not be lazy anymore(since a certain someone keeps thinking that I was lazy :P I decided I would show her wrong!)

Wow! I JUST got home from the Vacation of a life time. I now have a love hate relationship with Whistler. I love it because of the snow and all the fun things that happen. But hate it because I dont live anywhere near as cool a place. But im sorry to say. its 12:55am and I have to wake up in 4 hours to head to work. Damn work. I hate you. Its been way too long since my last post... I have tons of time to update, I just never do. I enjoy reading other peoples bloggs but I just cant seem to get off my lazy ass and write my own. For that past 6 weeks I have been working the 7am-3pm shift for the Health Canada computer help desk. I answer phone calls and e-mails all day. Its a simple job, but people can be pretty stupid... I really cant understand these people... They work an easy job, but dont know how to surf the internet?! PLEASE! Why cant I get paid as much as them!? But my real job is.... PRO SNOWBOARDER! okay, so maybe not. But I do get paid to snowboard. so its close enough right!? Sat and Sunday are the days I work at one of the local hills as a Snowboard instructor. I mostly only ever get to teach kids, but I get the odd adult. And who says you cant teach an old dog new tricks?! I think adults pick up the sport a lot faster than kids! They also try harder to not fall as often as a 7 year old kid. I will be uploading (more)pictures this week of me wearing my new gear/anything I wear at the hill. Its the only time people take pictures of me now! Anywho, I gotta jet for now. More to come shortly! JC.

Ahhh Boxing day... The day where everyone decides "hey, I didnt get that TV I wanted for x-mas" so they decide to go out and buy one... Its sad, but true! the bug even got to me! I almost put down $2200 on a brand new 32" LCD HDTV today. Good thing my bank account maxes out at 2000! lol. So now Future shop has LOTS of my money in their computer system and cant give it back to me for a few days becaus of this f'n boxing day madness! arg! And if future shop decides "hey we lost your money" I have the name of the person who tried to sell me the TV. And I will hunt him down. But all madness aside(I hope). I got to hit up the hill today. The temp hoverd at around 0 so it was really warm and really nice, it even snowed at night! A little bit of fresh snow never hurt anyone! Well yeah, okay, this blog entry is really short... and I cant make it much larger becaus I have to wake up at 6am tomorrow. I get to take my L1 Snowboard Instructor course!(3 day thing). Damn! its been so long. The new snowboard.com is looking pretty frosted and im really enjoying the features. But I still gotta play with it so much that it will break. But yeah. other than the new site, my xbox360 isnt getting much attention since its winter! I buy the damn thing and about 3 weeks later the local hills are already thinking of opening. Hell. I have already gone to tremblant once, thinking of going again real soon, AND my friends and I have found places to board in the city so that will be done hopefully this year if no one chickens out... HMMMmm what else is new.. I shaved and got a hair cut! and now the world knows why im called Baby Face Jace, and becaus of it, im getting carded everywhere and no one will believe my ID! It sucks so much! damn it!

My sister showed me this today. Its so true! I was downtown today in the Market and noticed the abundance of Emo kids. Its like a plague, or a nasty STD that you cant cure with a cream. THEY JUST WONT GO AWAY!
We went to the Blues Fest... EMO KIDS GALORE! I know singing the Blues means singing about sad things, BUT EMO KIDS ARNT SAD! They just wish they could be.
And whats with Emo relationships? Sure, Emo kids usualy cry about their boyfriend/girlfriend cheating on them... but YOU ARE STILL DATING THEM. Just go out back and kill yourself. The only way to stop the hurting is to stop living.
The End of one week, and the start of a new one.
I know I havent updated in ages, and truth be told. I got a job! and ummm, got to see the girl I care about. and I now work 4 out of 7 days a week at a kids arcade/fun park place. Its fun work, long hours, and lots of kids yelling out "Mister, I want to ride the bumper cars NOW!! I dont want to wait!!!!!" and then parents asking me to bend the rules becaus its their kid... heh, I like my job most days, but some days its just a royal piss off. Recently its been getting really nice outside, can finaly break out my baby and start boarding around town again. but all the nice days are spent at work and not outside where I should be.
A few weeks ago the girl I care for came to Ottawa to visit, BEST WEEK EVER. thats all I really have to say for that becaus it really was. And I wish I lived closer to her just so we can spend more time together(even if it was just like an added 3 days a month or what ever).I havent spoken much with her since she went back home becaus she has been really busy and it sucks becaus we used to talk a lot, and now we hardly talk at all. I understand she has her life to live, and I have mine. But it still sucks to not be able to talk longer than 30min a week to the person you like(compaird to the 4+hrs daily). if I could tag on any song to how im feeling(hahah how lame I have become...) Gob - Been So Long.
Hurray for my mindless ramblings induced by lack of sleep. I honestly dont know who reads my journal entries... and im kind of interested to know who does. For no other reason than curriosity.
Anywho. Tomorrow monday... I will wake up, eat something. then go out. cash in some paychecks, go to the mailbox, send out some mail. Pay off my debts. maybe buy a coffee. skateboard around town and clear my mind of all the clutter. then go hang out with my old buddy at the pool hall. then go home, read a little. relax, shower,shave. then go to bed and wake up for another 8hr shift at work.

hmmmm been over a month since my last update. I really have to start updating this thing more often!
Lets see... news about my life... news about my life... ummm im still jobless somehow. I have been out looking for jobs for like the past 3-4 weeks and im no longer picky for where I would like to work. I just need money! if I was living on my own I would have to get out of my rent some how, and move in with the parents.
But good thing I already live with them still. man I would be dead of starvation if I wasnt... anyway. yeah. been looking for a job and im flat broke. I cant even go snowboarding or out for 1 beer becaus I own NO MONEY. wich really sucks becaus I had 2 big trips planned for march/april. And im not sure I can say I can do it anymore. Altho I will keep my fingers crossed that I somehow get loads of money real fast. So with saying that. I wont cancel my plans just yet. incase something DOES work out.

Time to Grow Up one might say.
So bartending school is over. I passed everything. Even the Bar Cost Control class most people fail... And its the x-mas holidays so im not going to bother looking for a job now, its way to late for that. but I figure once I get back from the Moncton Road Trip. I can start looking for a bartending Co-oP position, and maybe a full time job aswell. Just so I can make some money and move away.
Todays choices for moving away include. Whistler, Sunshine, Toronto,(and even got 2 invites to move in with bartenders out in Nova Scotia) each one of these locations would be shibby sweetness. I will keep you posted on where I move to within the next year ;)

So its tuesday,my monday... and im telling you. SOooooooooo bord at school. the only fun thing I did all morning(since its only 1pm) is well... my Spirit Tasting class. we got to try some Galiano and then some stuff thats a lot like baileys(omg it was soooo good). and I also found out there is a way to cheat on my project due on thursday, so now I dont have to put in over 10hrs of work into this project :D just a bit of money, and 2 hrs. heh.
Anywho, time to go find something to do for my lunch hour and then I get to learn 5 new drinks to mix. Talk to you all some time soon. And hope your day is better than mine is.

Okay... short msg for this thursday... whats new in my life... ummmmmm I have my first bartending test next week! Yes indeed, a TEST! in bartending?!!? what the hell! oh well its gonna be fun trying to make 5 drinks in under 2 minutes and 30seconds. (thats right kids. 30seconds a drink. when have you ever been served that fast in a real bar?)
and my search for a winter job has failed AGAIN! arg. I guess im just gonna stick to the local hills this winter and teach. or bartend a few nights a week and the rest of the time go on day trips. But that means having to buy a car, and getting my drivers license... bahhhh crap. oh well. talk to you all soon! gotta hit the sack. its 1:20am, just got back from, yes, THE BAR! haha. So ends another week. And what do I have to show for my week? ummm good memories, and an idea of what to do this year. Thursday night was the night of the long walk with Emma and Will. Damn, 4hour walk along the Cannal in Ottawa. then we went back to their res and Emma and I stayd up too late talking about life in general. Went to class friday morning with only 2 hours of sleep. DAMN did that ever hurt. and becaus of not sleeping I ended up crashing at 7 soemthing at night and missed out on friday night completly. I would have loved to go out but I was just too damn tierd.
Ummm so Sat night was last night and I playd poker for the first time ever. And it only cost me $5 to play. Wow I totaly suck at this game it was a waste of my time and money, but I was with friends and good times happend after that. And ummmmmm sh*t what else do I have to add to this weeks update...

ITS FRIDAY
okay everyone so its friday as you may have guessed from reading my pink writing... lets see... lets see... okay so yesterday the stupid Carleton U students slowed down the train so I ended up being about 20min late for class/soaking wet becaus of the record breaking rain we got yesterday.
and so this mornign I go to take the bus. it shows up 20min late, then get to greenboro and find out the train is still broken. it takes me an hour!(usualy takes me max. 30min) from greenboro bus station to get to the Algonquin college. well I made it to class RIGHT on time,. wich sucks caus I would have been there early for once just so I could try and sit beside the cute shy girl... yeah... what can I say. I end up having a nice 5min conversation about the most random things ever. turns out she isnt that shy... so yeah. ummm im drinking singapore slings(drink I learnt how to make this week at school) and they rock! So yeah. need a bartender at your party? im not great but I will get the job done! lol

Good morning everyone. So its sunday morning. Wait no. Sunday afternoon and I just got home from a friendly night of movies and drinks with some friends. I finaly got to watch Pulp Fiction. all I can say is HOLY sh*t. God damn that movie sucked. I dont see how people loved that movie. it takes so long for anything to happen. I dont know why anyone would like it... We then watched a movie called Ravenous. Another horrible movie, but this one was about humans eating other humans. Strange sh*t if you ask me.
During the course of the night we drank things from a slushy kinda drink. to rum and cokes with Vanila rum. to RED STRIPE BEER! man this beer is pretty good and has some of the best comercials I ever saw. www.redstripebeer.com to see them... good stuff. So it was my first day of college today. Well kind of college. I dont know. Im taking bartending in school so that some day *soon* I can move out and make enough money to live away from home. That being said. Im trying to make plans so I can move out west and work at one of the resorts out there(of course, whistler/blackcomb is the one im trying to get any job at right now.) But fall back plans if I dont get a job out west would be to get a job at Tremblant and work my way to whistler. Since they are both owned by IntraWest...
And boy oh boy is it ever strange to be going back to school after a year and a bit off. Oh well. Keep you all posted on the happenings! Stay Tuned, and Stay Safe!
