Another snow day for the kids.....

Marty's a genius... at science..



At 5:55am Monday morning I get a frantic call from Marty "Whiteout's Scientist". He's all "I just had a dream that I scientifically altered North Vancouver's weather patterns to create the perfect snow day up at Grouse. Then I woke up and it actually happened. I must of slept walked into my laboratory in the middle of the night and cracked the code on weather alteration" and I'm like "so should I take the day off and partake in your experimental powder" to which he replied "Kman, its Science!

Yes!!! A Powder slide show.... its a really nice...

Wow.. What a great start to the season. Still only November and Whistler has mid season type coverage. I was talking to Marty "Whiteout's in house Scientist" and he says if all the snowflakes that have fallen on British Columbia's coastal mountains over the last couple weeks were scientifically turned into peanuts "get this" there'd be enough peanuts to feed the worlds population of elephants until like... December. Wow.. If anyone but Marty dropped that bomb on me I'd say they were crazy... but you can't step to Marty.

I tell ya, we have a real team of go getter over here at I.S. Design.  Take a look at how Kale, Wille and Kooley keep a competitive mindset off the hill.



This just goes to show these guys give it their all at everything they do.  Watch out Iron chef. Kale, Wille and Kooley just turned up the heat in the cooking world.  Keep an eye out for their new controversial cooking show "Make me a Sandwich" scheduled to air on the cooking network spring 2007.

Wille came by the office Today for a little visit.  We don't get to see him as often as we'd  like so it was a nice suprise.  But after all the hugs and kisses I put him right to work.  First thing we did was shoot his ad for TWS snow.  I've been trying to get this done for a couple months now and to tell you the truth I was starting to get a little worried it wasn't  going to happen with the deadline only a week or so away.  Once we finished playing "Top Model" we moved to something even more important.  I thought it would only be fair to have Wille pick the winner of his first Signature goggle on IS.  We had over 50 "Getting Rad" photo entries but had Gunther " our mail man" narrow it down to his top 7 favorites for Wille to choose from.  Here's Gunthers top 7.

DD/Henry Lee/Perry & Alba/Zeddy update.....

Look its DD back in 97.



Scientific fact: after months of research our forensic scientists concur that DD was in fact the first person to 5-0 a ledge on a snowboard.

Most music these days is complete crap but every once in awhile, if you dig for it you'll get lucky and come across something that really hits home.

Zeddy update: Yes finally another Zeddy update. Well Zeddy hasn't been in touch much lately but don't worry he's had good reason. For the last 4 months Zeddy has been hard at work with Jean "his French industrial design Professor" working on a project that is going to revolutionize the action sports industry as we know it. I can't even come close to explaining what they've managed to develop so take a look for yourself.



Of course Jean takes all the credit in this short film but its obvious Zeddy had his hand in the suits sleek transformer style design.

Tadashi Fuse

Multiple ground breaking video parts, tons of magazine coverage including two covers already this season and unique moves like the one above with no signs of slowing down. It's as clear as day. Tadashi's a shred samurai sent from Japan to kick snowboardings ass. Yep, he's the truth.


Look who Duff ran into at the Colorado airport.



Yep Duff and Naslund all buddy buddy. Duff's smile is so over powering it makes Naslund's pretty much seem nonexistent. Oh wait a sec, no he's not smiling at all. My mistake...

At last "The French Halloween Slideshow"

If you take a good look at the photo above you'll notice JF looks a little frencher than usual. He shaved off his sideburn beard that usually attaches to his mustache so Dev would dress up as a frenchmen for halloween. I like the new look.

Now get ready for the best french halloween slideshow of all time!!!!

A French Halloween.....

Every year our group of friends pick a costume theme for Halloween. We've been Chefs, Pirates and Mexicans at least three times. There's usually a good 15 to 20 of us who dress up according to the chosen theme and who really get in character/piss everyone off all night. This year "Frenchmen" was picked for the theme and like always everyone went all out.



This could be the "Frenchest" photo of the whole night but in all fairness it does contain one actual frenchmen "JF" and what a beauty he is! (Dionne & JF, Dionnes Kitchen 9:30pm)

The whole french crew met up at Dionne's to enjoys baguette's, assorted cold cuts, cheese and of course delicious wine.



Everyone at the party was dressed up as a frenchmen except for Browner.



I guess he didn't want to wreck his hair with a beret so he opted for "time share sales men" instead.



I have so many good shots I could keep going for ever but instead I'll just post a good old fashion slide tomorrow. (Gaetan, Dionne, Kale, Jbone & JF. 10:00pm)
