Smell

 

Here we go again,

Just last night he started again,

I must say Im tired of this, but I cant stop,

I guess its what I've been taught,

The smell is all too familiar from when I was a child,

Now that I'm with someone just like him,

I won't leave because of the life weve built,

If I leave that shows everyones right,

We got in another fight last night,

He started yelling and telling me I'm worthless,

But I just go to the corner and cry,

Later when I go to say sorry he's passed out on the chair,

Ooh the smell is all too familiar now, why can't I leave?

They tell me to leave him,

Yet I havent, I'm used to the pain he causes,

Theres that smell again, I can't escape it,

This will be the last time I cry myself to sleep,

And I just wish I could stop repeating the past,

I remember I said I would

Looks like I'm wrong again,

Ooh the smell, why can't I escape you?

Here we go again, same old smell that keeps coming back like it's a bad habit,

I've wanted to tell you I'm leaving, but every time I get the guts you start to blame me,

This makes me feel lousy and I cry myself to sleep again,

When will this smell just go away?
