I had a wicked time this season and I will miss it. Considering how late winter came I was able to get 14 riding days and had each day was a blast! Well it's time to wax my board and store it; then pull out my golf clubs and get ready for the nice weather. Here's a quick video of me snowboarding one night at horseshoe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJ4uyY7BIiY

This is just crazy! It's the begining of January and there is no SNOW! I've only been out twice and it's really not worth going any more until it snows. It's not even cold enough for resorts to make snow that stay on the ground. Errr...

Well it took a while for winter to get here but the hills have finally opened with a few man-made snow runs. I went to Horseshoe with my bro and they had 3 runs open on it's second open day. What can I say? My brother and I had such a wicked time! It was a great feeling to get out there again but this time with my 'all new' setup: board/boots/bindings/jacket/pants/underarmor socks,shirt,pants/gloves/goggles/beenie. This being my second season I was really surprised that I picked it up as quickly as I did and I'm definitely ready to go back out. Heres a picture of the '300ft monster' of a hill we rode on... lol

Well I'm all ready to hit the hills, but there's a problem; NO SNOW! Man all this warm weather is really depressing as it's taking forever for winter to get here. Blue mountain is supposed to open Dec 1st but it doesn't look to good when you take a look at the 14 day forcast.

I just bought a set of really sweet Oakley A Frames last week with Persimmon lens at the ski and snowboard show. I wasn't planing to buy any other googles until I visited steepandcheap.com today and they had Spy Todd Richards Soldier goggles with sic Bronze/Red Spectra Mirror lens for $43US! (reg $139US). With shipping and exchange it only costs $66CAN! Man I just paied $109+tax for my Oakleys last week! I told myself I didn't need the Spy googles but some how I convinced myself I needed them for day riding and I would keep the Oakleys for night. I really want some SNOW!

Well the show was wicked! I was the 3rd person into the show yesterday because we bought our tickets online which put us in an express line. Deals, deals, deals! Wow, it was a good thing we got there when it opened up as there was so many great deals everywere and by 7pm (when we left) the best deal were gone. Me and my bro shopped for 4 hrs and I ended up walking out with these deals:

Board: 06 Salomon Prospect LTD 153 - $399 (reg $649)
Boots: 06 Salomon F20's - $229 (reg $399)
Jacket: Bonfire Blur 10k/10k- $125 (reg $300)
Googles: Oakley A Frames $109 (reg $159)
Gloves: Dakine w/Gore-Tex $45 (reg $89)
Helmet: 07 RED Trace - $89 tax in

After 4hrs and getting frustrated with the place packing up I didn't have the energy to find pants. But after calculating everything, I saved $700 compared to regular prices. Pretty sweet!

After researching, asking lots of questions and figuring out if I wanted freeride or freestyle bindings; I decided to sell my Tomcats on eBay and got a set of T9 MFM Pro's for practically the same price. I heard so many great things about these bindings that I can't wait to try them out. Now we just need some snow...

I figured I might as well start up my blog early. I'm currently in the middle of buying my new setup for this up and coming season. My first purchase was a pair of 05 Ride Flight Tomcats that I scored a wicked deal through ebay. I'm planning to buy the rest of my gear (board, boots, goggles, helmet, jacket, pants and gloves) at the Toronto Ski & Snowboard show this Oct 13th.

On another note, I bought a 2004 Acura TL right after last season ended. I love this car, it's really awesome! But the downside is it doesn't have 60/40 folding back seats so I was forced to get myself a roof rack. As it stands I already purchased the Yakima rack and the snowboard adaptor (holds up to 4 boards). Just need to buy 2 more locks and the Q-clips so it can be mounted on my car and I’ll be ready to go!
