So far the summer is continuing to be a fun filled pleasureama with another top weekender under my belt.
Friday was a bit of tame one. A quick session down the gym after work then a few drinks (O.J) in the pub with work peeps afterwards.
Saturday, was a different story. A mate was having a big barbeque for his birthday with the fun kicking off around noon. I got there just after the lads had done a beer run, (this was a pure coincidence, honest) and was amazed at how much alcohol they had purchased, it looked like they had done a smash and grab and the local tesco's ( wal-mart for our american friends ) and made off with all the booze!
Being British a few of us started on the pimms (www.anyoneforpimms.com) and drank the night away. People came and people left and still the party went on into the wee small hours.
Now I can't talk about some stuff as there is a big red box saying i can't talk about illegal activity
but thanks to some good friends, me and everyone else were enjoying the tunes and generally talking bollox untill the sun came up.
Funny stuff that happened;
A guy knocks his drink onto his chair and the unknowingly sits in it, and doesn't realise for about five minutes.
Whilst having a piggy back ride one of the girls puts her undies on full display.
Several people almost falling down stairs.
Me having my trainers put in the fridge.
Birthday boy talking to an imagenary friend at 9am.
When I realised that was 10am i got the urge to clean the room as now it was obvious the house was a mess ( and so was I,
) so in some kind of instinctual auto pilot all the dead beers were ditched and cans binned, I even seperated out the glass, plastic and cans for recycling. Aren't i good.
Finding a spare sofa in the basement to crash on i tried to get some sleep but ended up listening to Zero 7 on my ipod for an hour or so before drifting off for a couple of hours. Possibly
the nicest way to wind down.
I wake up, pick up my sh!t and make my way home to spend the remains of the day on my sofa reading the sunday paper, ok looking at the pictures.
