Where is your home town and where do you base yourself out of?

TOKYO JAPAN. WINTER - WHISTLER. 

How did you get involved with Heart Films?

I WAS FILMING TADASHI AND TADASHI SAID HE WANTED TO MAKE A DIFFERENT/INTERESTING VIDEO SO I CAME ON BOARD. I WAS FREELANCE FILMING UNTIL THEN...SHOOTING FOR BURTON, WHITE OUT, MAYBEM, ETC...MAINLY SHOOTING TADASHI... 

How did you begin your career as a professional filmer/editor?

I WAS SNOWMOBILING IN WHISTLER TRYING TO BE A PROFESSIONAL SNOWBOARDER. I BECAME FRIENDS WITH TADASHI AND HE SAID WHY DON’T YOU BECOME A FILMER AND I STARTED GOING UP WITH HIM. THIS WAS AT A TURNING POINT IN MY LIFE…I WAS DEBATING IF I SHOULD QUIT TRYING TO BE A PROFESSIONAL SNOWBOARDER SO I GUESS THIS WAS ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO STAY IN SNOWBOARDING BUT AT LEAST MAKE A LIVING IN IT. IT WAS ALMOST IN A JOKING WAY BUT IT BECAME SERIOUS AND REAL. TADASHI SAID IF I WANTED TO BECOME A FILMER I CAN STAY LIVING MY LIFE ON THE MOUNTAIN AND STILL BE INVOLVED. NEXT SEASON I STARTED AS A FILMER 100%. THAT WAS WHEN I WAS 26 SO THAT WAS 3 YEARS AGO…AND I HAVEN’T LOOKED BACK. 

What did you think you would be when you were younger? 

I THOUGHT THAT I WOULD BE A BUSINESS MAN. SOMEONE THAT WOULD GO TO AN OFFICE EVERYDAY…LIKE MY DAD. 

Did you ever aspire to be a professional snowboarder/skateboarder? 

YES. I TRIED SINCE THE TIME I GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL - FOR 7 YEARS! I HAD A SHOP SPONSOR BUT IT NEVER WENT ANY FURTHER THAN THAT. NOW BURTON HELPS ME OUT AS A FILMER AND TADASHI AND YUHO ARE ALWAYS LOOKING OUT FOR ME... 

What was your first photo/video you ever took? 

I TOOK VIDEO WITH MY LOCAL FRIENDS AND MADE A LOCAL VIDEO. I LIKED THAT I CAN FILM SOMETHING AND IT IS A MOMENT THAT LASTS FOREVER. 

What was your most memorial day this season? 

WHEN TADASHI LANDED A 1080 IN THE WHISTLER BACKCOUNTRY...OR WHEN TADASHI GOT SWEPT DOWN THE MOUNTAIN IN AN AVALANCE…

Your worst day this season? 

I DON’T KNOW…MAYBE WHEN MY SLED BURNED AND MELTED ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN IN THE BACKCOUNTRY…2 TIMES!!!

 

Your best day this season? 

I PUT MY CAMERA BAG DOWN AND HAD A LONG POWDER RUN WITH EVERYONE IN THE BACKCOUNTRY. WE WERE SCREAMING OUR HEADS OFF. I ALSO HAD AN AWESOME TIME DURING THE HEART FILMS CAMP WHEN WE HAD A BONFIRE AND STAYED AWAKE UNTIL 4 IN THE MORNING… 

Why do you like to film? 

I LIKE FILMING BUT I DON’T KNOW WHY…I LIKE IT WHEN I CAN CAPTURE THE IMAGE ON FILM THAT IS IN MY MIND…I LIKE WHEN THE PEOPLE ENJOY THE FOOTAGE THAT I HAVE TAKEN… 

Do any riders stand out to you? 

TADASHI - OF COURSE! THE WAY HE IS, HIS STYLE - OFF AND ON THE SNOW - THE WAY HE TAKES ACTION, THE WAY HIS MIND IS SET ON SNOWBOARDING AND THE GOALS AND DREAMS HE MAKES INTO REALITY… 

Favorite shooting location/style? 

I LIKE THE BACKCOUNTRY BECAUSE IT IS QUIET AND I FEEL MY HEART THUMPING…I LIKE THE CHALLENGE OF FINDING NEW TERRAIN AND IT IS LIMITLESS OUT THERE…

Gear? 

PANASONIC DVX 100A AND A BOLEX 16MM. 

Sled? 

2007 Ski Doo Summit 800 151.

Do you prefer video or film? 

I LIKE FILM. I LIKE IT BECAUSE IT HAS A SOFTER FEEL. THERE IS A FEEL WITH FILM THAT VIDEO LACKS... 

Truck? 

A BEATER 1987 NISSAN KING CAB 4X4.

What do you do in the off season?

I HELP EDIT THE FILM. I ALSO WORK 12 HOURS A DAY, 6 DAYS A WEEK - DELIVERYING SUSHI SO I CAN SAVE UP FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON...


Where and who would your dream trip consist of?

I WOULD LIKE TO GO TO ALASKA IN THE SUMMER WITH MY NON-SNOWBOARDING FRIENDS SO WE CAN HAVE SOME TIME TO HANG OUT. THE SCENERY IS PROBABLY SUPER SICK AND VERY WILD AND PRISTINE... 

If you were given 1 million dollars today, what would you do tomorrow?

I WOULD CONTINUE EDITING THE FILM AND THINK ABOUT THE MILLION SITTING IN THE BANK… 

Has being a snowboard filmer put you in a life or death situation? 

YES...ALL THE TIME. AVALANCHES, BEATER TRUCKS, LONG TIRING ROAD TRIPS, FALLING OFF CLIFFS, BURNING SLEDS THAT MAY EXPLODE… 

Who are other filmers/photographers that you admire? 

I LIKE THE WORK OF NEIL HARTMAN. HE HAS A GOOD CONFIDENCE TO HIM AND IT SEEMS LIKE HE TRULY LOVES WHAT HE DOES…

Who usually comes up with the ideas for the shoots? 

MOSTLY TADASHI. WE ALL HAVE INPUT BUT TADASHI HAS THE LOUDEST VOICE AND AMBITION… 

Advice to other aspiring filmers?

SHOOT THINGS THAT ARE ENJOYABLE. SOMETHING THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE. FIND GOOD FRIENDS TO SHOOT. DON'T WORRY TOO MUCH ABOUT THE EQUIPMENT…AS YOU GET BETTER YOU WILL ACQUIRE BETTER EQUIPMENT. ONE STEP AT A TIME. AND IT IS ALL ABOUT THE IDEAS!

Where is your home town and where do you base yourself out of? 

Sendai Japan. Whistler - winter. 

How did you get involved with Heart Films?

Tadashi and I were talking about it 2 or 3 seasons ago…Last year it finally happened. I have known Tadashi before he became a pro snowboarder…He worked at a rental shop and I worked at a skateboard shop…We knew each other for over 10 years…I was making a different snowboard video so I had other commitments but finally we started it last year. 

How did you begin your career as a professional filmer/editor? 

I made skateboard videos in Japan and I learned how. I used to be a snowboarder and took footage of Tadashi and Jun and I enjoyed it so I started doing snowboard footage as well. I was taking footage for the guys so they can check out their snowboarding and Tadashi was doing crazy things…Things I could not imagine doing...So I started shooting more and more and riding less and less. I learned everything by trail and error.. 

What did you think you would be when you were younger?

A Pro Baseball player and then a pro skateboarder…

Did you ever aspire to be a professional snowboarder/skateboarder? 

Yes. I even rode for Burton back in the day…

What was your first photo/video you ever took? 

Tadashi’s video when we all lived together in Whistler when we were all starting out…

What was your most memorial day this season? 

When Aki almost died in an avalanche…It was the first time that I saw an avalanche right in front of my face…I was always careful in the backcountry but that day was a wake up call. I felt that I needed to be able to ride my sled better and be more conscious of the dangers of the backcountry.Also Aki’s cab 9 was sick! 

Your worst day this season? 

There was a few of those this season…I rolled my sled and the sled ran over my head. THANK god I had my helmet on…My sled was rolling towards Tadashi and Takumi and I thought that they were toast as well as my sled was a right off. At the end, the sled rolled and luckily came to a stop before the next cliff band and everyone was okay…

Your best day this season? 

There are so many of those too…Every time I went out on my sled was a good day! 

Why do you like to film? 

I like that the riders push themselves and do things that I can not do or imagine…I like capturing that. The feeling you get when you capture a good shot feels so good. I like how I get to see the action live…As I capture the image for everyone else to see. I have front row seats…



Do any riders stand out to you? 

Tadashi - of course. He lands everything. His actions are fast. Everything about him is awesome…If you go up to the mountain, you will know Tadashi’s greatness… 

Favorite shooting location/style? 

Whistler backcountry. There is always something to shoot and it is always so much fun to explore. There is no greater place to shoot than the Whistler backcountry…I like street too but the backcountry is so new to me so I am addicted to it. 

Gear? 

Panasonic DVX 100A and NIZO 801 macro and Nikon Super 8. 

Film or video?

I like both video and film. Video is convenient…it makes voice recording easy too…film has a nice feel… Sled? 2004 Ski Doo Summit 800 151.

Truck? 

1995 Chevy K2500 4X4 with a Bulldog double sled ramp.

What do you do in the off season?

There is no off season…I shoot skateboarding and make my clothing line… 

Where and who would your dream trip consist of?

A world wide trip with my friends and wife!

If you were given 1 million dollars today, what would you do tomorrow?

  I would be thinking of how to use it. I would choose my own riders and shoot around the world and go everywhere on helipcopter! 

Has being a snowboard filmer put you in a life or death situation? 

Everytime you go into the backcountry, there is a possibility of death…


Who are other filmers/photographers that you admire?

I like a guy named WADAPP. He is a skateboard photographer out of Japan…I also respect DICE K MARU because he has a lot of good photos…

Who usually comes up with the ideas for the shoots? 

Everyone. 

Advice to other aspiring filmers? 

Do what you love. If you want to be a filmer ? do it. That’s the only way. JUST DO IT.

Akifumi Hiraoka of course…He works hard…You'll see when you see the DVD...

05/31/07 サファリパーク？Safari Park? どもっす！フィルマーのケイジです。 春（夏みたいに暑いけど…）のウィスラーでは動物がちらほら出てきます。 夕方に車を運転してたら、鹿が飛び出して轢きそうになった時は焦ったな〜…鹿はよくわからなそうな感じでマイペースに通り過ぎてったし…[:あせあせ:]Heartハウスには熊が出現し、家に居たコウスケはかなりビックリしたみたい。[:どんっ:] 今日はゴンドラ下に熊を３匹を発見！１匹は木の支柱からすいすい降りてきてました。身軽でビックリ。前に見た時よりもでっかくなってた気が…間近では会いたくないなぁ〜。。。[:たらーっ:]Hey buddies! It’s Keiji the filmer.When it’s spring in Whistler (it’s hot like summer though), we can see some animals every once in a while.When I was driving my car a deer rocketed out and my eyes popped out and my truck almost hit him.But the deer didn’t care about me and went though like nothing had happened...At the heart house, a bear appeared. Kosuke was in the house then and he said he was so surprised.Today, I found three bears under the gondola!The one was climbing down from the tree. He was quicker than I thought.I thought they were bigger from the last time I saw them. They are growing up. I don’t want to meet them face to face...鹿もゴンドラからいい確率で見れます。The odds are high that you can see some deer from the gondola.ブラックベアーっていう熊の種類です。草食なんで安全なのか…な？？They are a type of black bear. They eat grass. Are we safe??? 05/28/07 南国四国より From southern island Shikoku タルト 画像汚くてすんません。コニシです。一緒に写ってるのは愛媛名物の「タルト」っていうお菓子です。アクロス重信に行って来ました。毎年呼んでくれてる［voltage cup］です。上手いキッズがいっぱいいてビビりました。本気でハーフパイプを滑ったら今話題の青野令と藤田一海のお父ちゃんがお小遣いをくれました。ありがとうございましたー。Sorry for the low resolution photo...It’s Konishi. This is a picture of me and the local special sweet called “Tart”.I went across the Shigenobu for the Voltage cup.There were so many super good kids and they threatened my carreer!I made a serious try in the half pipe, then the fathers of Ryo Aono and Kazuumi Fujita (both high-profiled figures now) gave me some tips. Ko-chan’s huge cab540.ショータのヘッドランディング。Shota’s head landing.最後に最近スノーモービルでも飛ぶようになったショータ。Shota riding his sled for fun. 05/26/07 お馬ちゃんは、デッかいどぉ〜〜〜！（笑）Horses have big... you know whats!!! こんにちはです。今日、初めてお馬ちゃんに乗ってきました。なかなか良いもんですよ。マッタリ馬に乗って散歩をする感じで（俺は結構ビビってたけどね）馬に乗り出してすぐにクマが手をふってたもん？？カナダは、ホントにヤバイよ。なんでウィスラーのクマは、そんなにマッタリしてるの？日本はクマに襲われたって聞くじゃん！何でだろうね〜〜〜〜？？？？まっいいか！だから楽しかったです。みなさんもウィスラーに来たらどうですか〜。I went horseback riding for the first time today and it wasn’t bad at all.It was like a very relaxed stroll with a horse. (I was a bit scared though...)A bear was waving his paw when I started riding the horse!Canada is so nice. Bears in Whistler are so easy going.In Japan, we often hear the news that someone is attacked by a bear.It is so funny how the perception to bears is so different here. Anyway, I enjoyed horseback riding very much. You guys should come to Whistler!!! 05/23/07 ひさしぶりに行ってきました。Long time no filming... どもです！ケイジです。天気もよかったので今日はモービルで撮影行ってきました！トラックでデコボコ道を走って川を越えたり、残雪に突っ込んだり、なかなかのアドベンチャー。　久しぶりのシャベル作業でいい汗かけました。（笑）Hello, it’s Keiji!It was such nice weather today so we went shooting with our sleds!We drove our truck on the winding road, over the river and drove on the remaining snow. It was kind of an adventure. We broke a sweat working with our shovels.　　　　　　　　[:down:]　　　　　　　　[:down:]晴れた日は暑くてこのとおり。It is so hot when it is a sunny day...On the way home, Shota and Taro rode their sleds and failed to negotiate a turn and drove into the woods together.Taro bailed and rolled... But thank got he was okay and his sled was also not damaged.帰りのモービルで、ショータ＆タローさんが下りで曲がりきれず、仲良く2人で木に突っ込んでました。[:たらーっ:]タローさんはモービルから降り飛ばされて横に一回転したみたい。。。それでもケガもなく、モービルも無事そうでよかった〜。帰りに見たウィスラーブラッコム。　すっかり春ですね〜…[:よつばのクローバー:]Spring has already come to Whistler Blackcomb mountain. 05/21/07 アブない送迎パーティー。THE Dangerous Farewell Party. ジュン君もついに帰国。。。ということで帰国前日はタダシ特製の秘密兵器でパーティーしちゃいました！ パーティーのやり方は、１、ホースの先を手で押さえてからビール２缶を流し込む。（アワ立てちゃダメ）２、深呼吸し、手で押さえているホースを口元へ。３、心の準備が整ったら手を離し、流れ込むビールを一気に飲み干す！ スゴいですよ…ビールの勢いハンパない。一気に酔っぱらいます。タダシの飲みっぷりハンパなかったな。（苦笑）Finally Jun is leaving for Japan... So, we had his farewell party on the night before with Tadashi’s secret weapon. How to use the weapon:1. Block the end of the hose, and pour two cans of beer. (don’t make foam)2. Take a deep breath and put the hose to your mouth.3. When you are mentally prepared, let go of the hose and drink beer that flows down into your mouth!It’s really a killer. The Beer momentum is so fast!You will be drunk in no time.Tadashi can gulp beer down like crazy.イェィ！コウスケYeah! Kosuke.やっぱりこの日の主役はジュン君でしょ！このあとにワインもがっつり飲んでたな〜[:たらーっ:]お酒の弱い人＆よい子はマネしないでね〜♪The life of the party today was Jun! He had wine after this.Non drinkers and children - do not try this! 05/20/07 たかです！This is Taka! たかです。この前みんなでキャンプに行って来ました。We went camping the other day, as you know.　　タクミ&タカ。荷物準備中。　　　　　　　　キャンプ地に到着！Takumi & Taka preparing for something.WOODレールでセッション！　ツヨシの5-0。Arriving at the camping area.Tsuyoshi’s 5-0. Some hard things and many interesting things.It was a good experience and I want to go camping with everybody again!! 05/19/07 Happy Birthday !!! 昨日はヒロミの誕生日＆カナダ最終日でした！みんないい感じに酔っぱらって楽しかった〜！最後はヒロミはソファーにダウン。無事に空港行けたかな？？[:たらーっ:] ヒロミおめでとう！Happy Birthday!!! Yesterday was Hiromi’s b-day and her last night in Canada!Everybody got so drunk!Hiromi crashed on the sofa at the end. I hope she made her flight?!?!? A lot of things happened this season and there were so many funny situations and serious matters... but everybody did a great great job!カナダに残っているHeartメンバーは撮影ラストスパート中です！映像などなどお楽しみに〜♪There are some of the heart films members still in Canada wrapping up their parts. Be ready for our DVD!! 05/15/07 ハートキャンプ heart camp!!　　 ヒロミでーす！！５月１０日から２泊３日で、ハートクルー総勢１４人で山にキャンプに行ってきました！！！１日目は、荷物をモービルで運び、テントをはって、ログセッションをしました！！ヒロミはご飯係で、夜ご飯作りをしてました。キャンプファイヤーをするために、みんな薪割りとかがんばってました！！テントで初めて寝たんだけど、これがけっこう快適でした！！！It’s Hiromi!!We went winter camping from May 10th for two nights!!!!!The first day, we carried our luggage and tented, and after that we had a log session!! I was in charge of cooking the meal so I was making everyone's dinner.Everybody worked hard splitting the fire wood to make the campfire!!I never slept in a tent before but it was more comfortable than I expected!!!２日目はモービルで撮影に行くチームと、テントの近くで遊ぶアイテム作るチームと二手に分かれてそれぞれ夜のセッションに向けて、アイテム作りをがんばってました。モービルで初めて山にあがったヒロミは、景色をみたくて、あき君のモービルを借りて開けてるポイントまで一人で行きました！！すごくきれいな景色で感動していると、そんなときに事件は起きました！！！！！なんと、あきくんのモービルが燃えてる。。。。。。。。。。あせったヒロミは急いでエンジンをきり、火が出てるところに、雪をかけまくりました。火がおさまり、今度はみんなのいるところまで、Bダッシュ！！！！！何が起きたのかもわからなかったせいか、そーとーテンパリました！！！ 汗だくなって、みんなに報告をして、タダシ君達がモービル救助に行ってくれました。原因は、ブレーキロックを解除してなかったことでした。初のモービル体験で、あき君の新車を燃やしてしまいました。。。。。。。アキ君ホントにごめんなさい！！！！！！！！！！！On the second day, we split up into two teams. One went shooting by sled and the other made some items for the night session near the tents.I was in the team that went shooting and I was so excited about riding a sled for the first time. I wanted to see the view from the mountain so I went up a little by myself.The scenery was so beautiful and it really got me.Then the accident happened!!!!!Aki’s sled was burning...............OH! MY! GOD!!! I turned off the engine right away and put snow on the fire again and again.After the fire went dead, I made a mad dash to get to everybody!!!!!I was so panicked that I didn’t understand what the hell was going on!!!I told everybody about the fire with sweat all over me, and Tadashi and some friends went to rescue the sled.The cause of the fire was that I didn’t unlock the brake lock.I burned Aki’s new sled in my first experience of riding a sled... Aki, I’m so sorry about that. 夜のセッションはかなり盛り上がりました！！！！いい映像が残ったので、みなさんDVDを楽しみにしてて下さい！！！！ The night session was so exciting!!!We took great photos and videos. Watch out for our DVD!!! 05/14/07 リハビリやってま〜す Rehab! うぇ〜い[:！:]今、群馬でリハビリやってるぜぃ[:パンチ:]地味なタオル引きからチューブを使ったりバランスボードを使ったりチャリこいだり色々やってやーす[:るんるん:]Hey, what’s up?My rehab consists of pulling towels, training using a tube and balancing on a board and bike riding and lots more. I do many things and I am working hard on my rehabilitation in Gunma! 05/13/07 いぇぃ！ Yeah!! 2泊3日のモービルキャンプから帰ってきやした！ みんなビール飲んでバーベキューしたりワイワイやってきましたよ〜もちろん自然の地形を活かしてスノーボードもね！本当に楽しくてあっという間の時間だったな。 詳しいレポートはまたUPします！お楽しみに〜♪We are back from our camping trip! The details will be posted soon!Wait and you will see...♪ 05/10/07 買い出し！！！ Buying food for our camping trip!!! ヒロミでーーーーす！！！今日は昨日に引き続き、キャンプ準備で、のぶ君と買い出しに行きました！！！ 海外のカートは日本と比べるとぜんぜんでかいのに、そのでっけーカートから、あふれだすぐらいの買い物の量になりました！！どれぐらいすごいかと言うと、会計中に子供達が集まるくらいすごい量で、レジのお姉さん（かわいい）にも、『こんなにかって、どうするの？？？？？』と聞かれ、ヒロミは、『BBQを２日間するんだよ！！！山の上でね！！！』って答えたら、その瞬間見物してた子供達が大盛り上がりでした！！！！ 家に帰り、２日分の食料をわけ、山で楽にするため、野菜や肉を切る事に。この作業があり得ないくらい、たいへんでした！！１５人×２日間、、、、、、想像できる？？？？？？まじで、給食のおばちゃんって大変だな！！って思いました！！！ 手伝ってくれた、ちょびちゃん（ゆーほの家の住人）ホントにありがとう！！！心から感謝してます！！！！！！！ 明日からキャンプです！！！！みんなで楽しんできまぁぁぁぁ〜〜す！！！！　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　準備編　　　おわりIt’s Hiromi again!!!Same as yesterday, I went shopping with Nobu for food for our camping trip today. In Canada, the shopping cart is super big but our grocery shop was so much that it was spilling out from our big cart!!!When we were at the cashier, children crowed around us. The cashier gave us a surprised look and asked “what will you do with all this food?!”, and I said “We are going to have a 2-day BBQ on the mountain!!!”. As soon as I said that the children were so excited!!! At the house, we had to separate the 2-day’s groceries and cut all of the veggies and meats. This work was sooooooo hard!!!2 day’s food for 15 people...can you imagine how much food we had to precook?????I really thought that the school lunch ladies didn't do much!! Chobi helped us with all of this, Thank you soooo much Chobi!!!I really appreciate it!!!!!! The camping trip starts tomorrow!!!!!We are all excited!!! And the result is............we found nothing.Is there any huge pans like in Japan?????I will go buy some food for 15people!!!15 people! To Be Continued... 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　 05/08/07 天気の悪い日が続きすぎー。 Way too much bad weather! コニシです。いや、写真は翔太ですよ。今日はくもりで山もガスってたけどゲレンデに滑りに行きましたー。翔太とコウスケとブラッコムへ。駐車場は霧に包まれてたけどゴンドラ、リフト、リフト、と乗り継いで上に着くと霧は晴れたが空はどんより。でも視界は悪くないのでパークでジャンプ。ちょっと見にくいけどジャンプしまくりました。ハーフパイプにも入りました。５月やっちゅうのにまだでっかいしきれい。ジャンプで飛びすぎてやられてる人を２人見ました。春のシャバシャバの雪は板の踏み方でスピードが全然変わるので気を付けなくては。人を当てにしたらあきませんねー。そろそろ晴れてくれんと困ります！heart houseには不格好なてるてる坊主が３人適当なとこに吊るされてます。ききめ無し！じゃあねー。It’s Koni! This is a photo of Shota.Today was cloudy and on the mountain was foggy, but I went riding to Blackcomb with Shota and Kosuke.The parking lot was engulfed in fog, but as we got up through the gondola and up the 1st lift and 2nd lift the fog was gone, but it was still cloudy. Despite being cloudy the visibility was not that bad so we went to the park and the half pipe. Surprisingly, even though it is already May the half pipe was so big and well groomed. I saw someone get chucked from the pipe for going way too big! When riding slushy snow in the Spring, everyone should be conscious of the speed that each board can generate. Do not trust other people.I hope it will be sunny soon!At the heart house, there are three paper dolls hanging praying for rain/snow.They don’t work too well. 05/07/07 アッ君魚釣りの、、、巻き〜！ Aki’s fishing report! は〜い！アッ君だよ〜！きのう魚釣りに行って来たんだ〜楽しかった。しかも魚が釣れて超〜エキサイト。。危なくボートから落ちるとこだったよ（落ちてたら超〜寒いんだろうな〜）魚釣りってイギナリおもせ〜な（笑）あのドキドキする感が、、魚釣りサイコ〜。また今度行くどぉ〜大物を釣りに[:魚:]ユーホまた連れて行ってな〜。Helloooo, it’s Aki!We went fishing yesterday! Yeah!いまheartのみんなでテントと寝袋を持ってモービルキャンプを計画中！楽しみだ〜〜[:イヒヒ:] We are now planning to go snowmobile camping with sleeping bags!Can’t wait! 05/02/07 今日は休憩！ Day off. どもです！フィルマーのケイジです。ここ何日かハードな撮影が続いていたので今日はみんなオフしてます。最近、もう山の下の方は雪がとけてきていてモービルでの撮影が大変になってきました…。砂利道が長くて長くてモービルがかわいそう。[:ひやひや:]Hello, it’s Keiji.We had some hard days lately and everybody is taking a day off today.The snow at the base of the mountain is melting fast, so shooting with our sleds is getting harder because the dirt road ride is getting long. I feel sorry for riding our sleds in those conditions. These are some photos from shooting with Tadashi two days ago.We woke up early but the weather wasn’t good, so we went back home once and waited. We kept checking on the conditions and skateboarded while we waited.In the afternoon, the weather was getting nice so we went shooting.There was still a threat of avalanches but we could shoot okay. これは2日前、忠と2人で撮影に行って来た時の写真。朝早く起きたけど、天気があまり良くなかったので一度家に帰り待機。様子を見に行ったり、スケートしたりしていると昼頃には天気がよくなってきた出発。まだ斜面によって雪崩やすくて怖かったけど、いい感じに撮影できました。 もういい時間になったので（19時すぎかな？）帰ろうとしたら忠のモービルが突然ストップ。マジで〜！何でいきなり！？って感じだったけど、とりあえずモービルを引っ張って帰る事にしました。 急な登り坂を登りきれずに2台とも転がったり、ロープが切れたり、つないでいたモービルのパンパーが折れて飛んできたり…あたりはすっかり暗くなってきて、途中で忠がキャンプファイアーしちゃったり。（笑）砂利道もず〜〜〜っと引っ張らなくちゃいけないので忠のモービルは大変な事になっちゃってます。。。It was about time to leave (7pm) when Tadashi’s sled stopped suddenly.We were like “What the hell! That’s so sudden!” but we just had try and get back home for it was getting dark. You do not want to be in the backcountry overnight!On the way back, we had such a hard time like...We both fell because we couldn’t climb up the slope, and the rope that connected our sleds broke off and the bumper flied off right at me...While all of this was going on, darkness arrived and Tadashi made a bonfire...etcWe had to tow the sled on the dirt road so Tadashi’s sled got very dirty.Finally we got to the parking lot but putting the engine-stopped sled into the truck was like pushing a dead elephant up the stairs.We needed one more man-power...Our muscle were so strained and we were so muddy.We started getting a natural high... 何とか車までモービルを引っ張ってこれたけど、動かないモービルを荷台に載せるのが大苦戦。一生懸命引っ張っても数センチしか動かないっス。。あと1人いればだいぶ楽だけど、たった2人だとかなり大変。。。超筋トレ。しかも泥だらけ。もうナチュラルハイっス。 1時間以上、知恵と力を振りしぼって、しぼりまくって何とか載せることに成功！もう嬉しくてハイタッチ！家に到着したのは23時半。かなりロングデイでしたね…。（苦笑） 心配して駐車場まで来てくれたタローさん達やみんなすいませんでした。[:たらーっ:]After an hour or so of using our brains and power we were able to put the sled on the car at last!High five!! 青空 Blue sky.

Hi, it’s Taro.Today we were able to shoot under blue sky.The members were Aki, Jun, Kosuke and me.We made a kicker in the morning.

フィルマーのタローです。今日は久しぶりに青空で撮影が出来ました。メンバーは、ライダーのアキ、ジュン、コースケに　＋オレの４人。朝一からキッカー作りました。

各ライダーとも苦戦してたんですが、アキがビタメイクで高回転を決めたのは凄くカッコ良かったです。明日も天気は良いはずなんで、撮影がんばりまーす。

All the riders were having a hard time but Aki made a high spin and nice landing. He was so good.Tomorrow will also be sunny, so we’ll go shooting as well!Maybe it’s a glacier?.

多分氷河です。

ハートハウスにて

At the heart house.

ヒロミです！！！！ハートハウスでは、毎日いろんな出来事がおきます！！最近部屋の中にアリが大量発生してるんですけど、こーちゃんとしょうたがとうとうアリをつかまえて、ペットにし始めました！！！二人ともお互い自分のアリ（けっこうすごい数がいます）をみせあったりして、とても気持ち悪いです。もちろんエサもあたえてます。そんなある日、しょうたのアリが脱走しました！！！お酒の瓶で飼ってたやつで、しょうたがふたをしなかったために、朝には１匹残らず、いなくなってました。飼い主に似たみたいです。そんなヤンキーヘアーのしょうたが、イメチェンをしました！！！！！テーマは・・・“ヘルメット”　　！！！！！たろーさんがネットでヘルメットを検索。その画像をみながら、ジュン君がしょうたの髪をきり、残りのみんなが見守る。

At the heart house, there are many fun incidents happenning everyday.

Recently, many ants have been seen in the house, and finally, Kosuke and Shota decided to catch them and keep them as their pets!!!

They of cause feed them and show their ants to each other (thousands of ants), and it is so gross.One day, Shota’s ants escaped!!! 

By morning, all of Shota’s ants were gone from the liquor bottle because he didn’t close the lid.The escaped ants were a lot like their owner.


すばらしいチームプレーで、すばらしいヘアーが誕生しました！！！きっと今のしょうたのヘアーなら、ブラッコムのブラックパーク（ヘルメットをしないと入れないパーク）も余裕で入れてしまうだろう！！！！！

Finally, Shota changed his hair!!!The theme of his his hair style is “Helmet”!!!Taro searched “Helmet” on the internet and he cut Shota’s hair to model ahelmet’s image. All of us had a good time watching the transformation.

Our great team can create a great hair style!!!Now Shota can go into the black park without wearing a helmet!!!(Black Park is on Blackcomb Mt. and you must wear a helmet to ride the park.)

カナダって言ったらホキーでしょう！今は、チョー熱くカナックスを応援しちゃってま〜す。明日は早起きなのに（ちなみに明日は３時半起きなんだよ）今は１１時？？これからもつずきま〜す。カナックスぜったい勝ってほし〜！！

It’s 11pm right now and we have to wake up at 3:30am tomorrow...

ジビングDAY！Jibing day!

どもっす！フィルマーのケイジです。今日は天気が悪かったけど、何日かぶりにモービルで撮影行ってきました〜！メンバーは忠、コニ、ショータと自分の4人。


撮影ポイントは少しモービルで走ったところにある小さなダム。先がクニャッと曲がった金属のパイプを飛び越えて当て込み、小川を飛び越えたり、レッジを擦ったり。みんなこんなの出来るかな〜？なんて考えながらいろいろと遊んできました。[:チョキ:]帰り道、もうすぐ家というところで何故か大渋滞。　[:車（ＲＶ）:] [:自動車:] [:路線バス:]30分ちょっと待ってやっと動き出して現場を見てみると、何と大きな木を運ぶトレーラがひっくり返って大変な事になってるじゃあ〜りませんか…こんなのに巻き込まれたくないッス…[:ひやひや:]


Hi, it’s Keiji-the filmer.

Despite the bad weather, we went shooting with our sleds for the first time in a few days.

The members were Tadashi, Koni, Shota, and me.

We took our sled to a spot which is a small dam, thinking of No one else will think to do this...

Jump over a bent metal pipe, jump over a brook and slide a ledge...etc

On the way back, with our house just around the corner, we got into a traffic jam.

After waiting 30minutes we could see what had happened. 

A huge logging truck had lost his load and was upside down!!

I don’t ever want to get into this kind of trouble...wow.

左膝前十字靭帯損傷 Torn ACL of the left knee.

うぇ〜い[:猫2:]3月4日、ホームマウンテンの苗場浅貝ゲレンデのパークでノリノリで滑っていてキッカーで飛び過ぎてフラットランディングを試みたがランディングと同時に膝がバキっ[:どんっ:]１発K.O[:びっくり:]で、28日に入院して翌日に手術しました[:病院:]これからリハビリで〜す[:ジョギング:]

Hellooo. This is MAGUN...I was riding the park at Naeba Asagai which is my home mountain, on Mar.4th. When I hit a kicker I was kinda too stoked and I flew too high that I couldn’t make the landing and went so flat! Then, CRACK!! I was knocked out...I went into the hospital and I had a surgery the next day.Now I starting rehab!

昨日はYUHOの誕生日パーティー！[:ケーキ２:]寿司屋にみんな集まってワイワイやってきました〜！


友達が大勢集まってゆっくり飲んでいたけど、やっぱり最後はみんなでビール一気！[:ビール:]ユーホおめでとう！

April 22nd is Yuho’s birthday!Everybody got together to cerebrate Yuho’s birthday at SUSHI-YA!All of her friends were there and were drinking and in a good mood but at the end we chug a lugged!Yuho, Happy birthday!!!

どうも[:嬉しい:]　今回初登場のエディターのノブです！今回はなっなっなんと[:！！:]ウイスラーで行われたTEL US WORLD FESTIVALのスーパーパイプの大会にてタカが優勝しました[:びっくり:][:楽しい:]

Hello, everybody!This is Nobu-the editer and it’s my first blog!

Today I bring you news from the TELUS WORLD FESTIVAL held in Whistler.Taka won first prize!!The first prize! I was so excited and surprised!


優勝なんてビックリ！しかも表彰台には男女ともに日本人が5人も入るという快挙でした。

On the podium, there were five Japanese riders. The Japanese can killed it!


04/21/07ひろみinカナダ Hiromi in Canada!


ひろみでーーす！！１８日にカナダinしましたぁぁぁぁーーーーー！！！！！今日で３日目突入！！！今日はジュン君とウィスラーで滑りました！！少し硬かったけど、楽しかったです！！！そして、夜にheartクルーでみんなでご飯食べに行きました！！！

It’s Hiromi! I came back to Canada on the 18th!!!!!

Today is my third day in Whistler!!!

I went snowboarding with Jun to Whistler mountain!!

The snow was a bit hard but it was fun!!!

That night I went to have dinner out with the heart film's crew!!!

明日はみんなはモービルであがって撮影みたいです！！

ヒロミは明日もウィスラーで滑る予定です！！！！

毎度ー！

フィルマーのタローです。ショータ、ジュン、コウスケででっかい裏山に行って来ました。

Hello! It’s Taro the filmer.Shota, Jun, Kosuke and I went to the back country.

本日は快晴、久しぶりです。雪の状態のいい所を探してラインを刻んできました。

Today, we had a very clear day in a long while.We looked for some nice-conditioned lines and rode them.


やっぱ青空での撮影は最高でした！！

It was great that we could shoot under such a nice sky!!


これは、スノーモービルのオイルを買いに行ったついでに見にいった滝です。マイナスイオンなんて言ってたのに、蚊が大量発生してたので、速攻逃げてきました。

We went to see this waterfall while we were in Squamish to buy oil for our sleds. We heard that we could get some negative ions in places like waterfalls, but there were a swarm of mosquitoes and we left there right away.


折れた木なんですが、何と言う生命力！

It’s a broken tree but surprisingly strong!

がっちりとどもども〜！昨日今日と撮影かなりがんばってきました！ブログ更新できなくてゴメンなさい。m(__;)m昨日のメンバーは、忠、コニ、アキ、フォトグラファーマルさん、フィルマーのケイジの５人。天気がばっちりと当たったのでがっちり撮影してきました！久しぶりに晴れたのでみんなもやる気充分！次から次へとポイントへ移動しまくっていい写真、映像がとれて良かったです。(^^)アキ君の特大フロントフリップにはみんなテンション上がりまくりでした。朝６時半に出て、家に戻ってきたのは夜8時すぎ。。。 かなりタフな一日だったな〜。(^^;)

Hi there! We went shooting yesterday and today!

Sorry that we couldn’t update our blog.The members for yesterday’s session were Tadashi, Koni, Aki, Dice and Keiji. 

It was such nice weather so we had a great session. We didn’t have such nice skies for a long time so we were stoked! 

We kept moving from spot to spot and took many photos and videos. Aki’s huge front flip stoked us out!

Despite the fact we left the house at 6:30am, we got home a little past 8pm.It was a very tough shooting day.

Tadashi made a back flip. Aki made a front flip.These were some lines that looked like a human face.

４月１６日マッサージだべ〜〜〜！ MASSAGE TIME!

今日は、天気が悪くてお休みです。んで、マッサージですよ〜。。コレが気持ちいいんだわ（笑）オレらいっつもやられてるから。ビシバシってね？なにげに体はボロボロなんですよ。元気なふりしてるけど（笑）でもね〜！頑張って４回転のバックフリップを決めるまで？？？？？？（アキ君だよ）こんな事やってるから体ボロボロになるんだよね〜！よーしヨガってやる！ストレッチは大事だよみんな〜。

It’s bad weather and we were off today.So! We massaged each other and it felt really great! (don’t take me wrong!) 

We always overuse our body so even if the outside looks good, our inside of our body is screaming!

But, you know, we don’t give up until we land the trick like when Aki spun a 4 time back flip... that’s why our body is crying so hard!

Ooookeeey, I’ll do some Yoga stretching.Stretching is really important, guys.How about this pose?

どもっす！昨日は忠、コニ、アキ、ケイジで撮影！天気は思ったよりも良くなくて、晴れたり曇ったりだったけど、いろいろやってきました！雪が思ったより良くて場所によってはかなり深かった〜でっかいウィンドリップで遊んだり、でっかいシュートを滑ってみたり。最後は岩越えのジャンプでセッションしてました。コニはBs1をスムースにメイク [:チョキ:]何とアキ君はキャブ9をトライ。着地した後につぶされてしまったけどスゴかったな〜みんな盛り上がってました。(^^)

Hello, yesterday we (Tadashi, Koni, Aki, Keiji) went shooting.

The weather was not as good as I expected and some clouds appeared throughout the day. But we got some nice shots!At some points, the snow was good and deep.

We hit some wind lips, rode a big chute and had a session at a rock-over jump. Koni made a back side one smoothly.

Aki tried a cab 9. 

He exploded when he landed but it was so cool.Everybody had a good time.


忠が滑ったやばいシュート。抜けた後のチョッカリは自己新記録のスピードだったみたい。(^^;)

This is the chute that Tadashi rode. He made a new speed record for sure!

We found a huge log!


帰り道にでっかいログを発見！

We play by throwing stones at a rock for two pitchers of beer!

その後は4人でビールのピッチャー2杯を賭けて下にある岩に石投げ勝負！コニタンごちそうさまです。[:ビール:]

冬が来たぁぁ〜 Winter again!

どもです！ウィスラーに冬がまた来ました〜！最近暖かくて春みたいだったけど、今日雪が降ったお陰でいい感じ！明日はパウパウです！多分！

The winter come again to Whistler!

We had some warm days lately but today was snowing.

Maybe it’ll be powder snow tomorrow!


夜はウィスラーで行われているTELUS WORLD フェスティバルのBIG AIRの公開練習行ってきました！BIG AIRにはショータ。HPにはタカ。スロープにはナターシャがエントリー。今日の公開練習は雪が降ったせいでスピードが足らずにほとんどが角落ち。。。でも明日の本戦は整備も入ってきっといい感じになるでしょう！楽しみだな〜！

At night, we went to the public practice session for the BIG AIR for the TELUS WORLD FESTIVAL!

Shota entered the BIG AIR contest, Taka did the half pipe and Natazsa did the Stompede.

Because of the new snow, most of the riders couldn’t get enough speed and they couldn’t make their landings.

But upon tomorrow’s real contest, the landing should be maintained and the riders will show us some great tricks!

I’m so excited!

休憩 Break time.

どうもー！！フィルマーのタローです。一昨日バンクーバーの近くのシーモアと言うスキー場に行った帰りのにあまりにも奇麗だったので休憩がてら、光の柱とショータを撮ってみました。

コニシでスー。今日は雪質なんか期待してなかったのに上がってみると、あ
