We just got a comment about not considering the city population where the participating shops are located.

The goal of the event is to find the stores who are the most involved in their community and from what we can see in the different territories, it's not necessarely true.

For exemple Boardertech in the maritimes, are located in Dieppe witch has a population of 18 000 people,  have been the first one to get more then 1000 supporters...Looks like its better to be a big fish in a small lake then a big fish in a big lake...

The only difference between stores in small and big cities is the way to promote their participation.

Did you know that your local snowboard shop future is in your hand.  Since November 1st the Ride Golden Bowl is seeking to find Canada's most influential store.  The shop with the biggest support will see its team invited to battle for the grand title at Tremblant resort on February 8th, 2007 held during the NSIA on snow demo.  The good news is that the teams travel expenses will be covered by the event.  A unique chance to see what's Montreal is all about.

What's in it for you?  By supporting your local snowboard shop you could win a snowboarder's dream package.  Check out the event web site and cast your vote.
