This song is crazy. i was bored one day in my research class so i looked up a few meanings of different things in this song, once you get them it makes alot more sense while listening.
Fourty-Six and Two means the perfect human or in this case hes refering to becoming perfect (its got a weird reason for this and it would take too long to explain so look it up yourself sometime)
and the shadow is basically everything that is opposite of you according to this weird mumbo jumbo "religion." in this song it just means changing yourself completely.
