...But I'll try anyways! So Biggie has been open for a few weeks now. We're sitting at a 100cm base, and we've had a fair bit of fresh powder. It's still rockboard country out there, as my buddy Shooter found out. He put a 2 inch long core shot into his board on opening day. A little p-tex injection later saw his board rejuvinated, and all was good.
Everything about the hill has been good. The trees have been amazing, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the hill opening. Even the groomers have been fun. Someone set up a little rainbow box the other day along one of the runs and we just had to hike it for a while. As always, my buddy Andy has been pushing me to try shi*t I would normally balk at. It's been paying off though, and there have been pics to prove it!
I told myself I would stay away from rails today, but that little rainbow box re-ignited my desire to jib. Also, since it's only my second year riding, I'm obligated to try as much as I can, so I can progress and keep up with my buddies.
Shooter and Andy are living up at the hill this year, and damnit I'm jealous. They can step out their door, one-foot it for about 100 feet and viola - they're at the lift. Bastards. On a positive note, there's a chance I can find some floor space up there, and avoid shelling out for a hostel room. More cash for drinks!
Oh, and to those reading this: You'll want to check out a band called the "Street Dogs." If you like blue-collar punk, you'll enjoy.
