Just got back from an unplanned trip to Colorado. I was visiting a couple of my buddies in Casper Wyomin' and they asked if I wanted to tag along. Sure what could it hurt... every bit of my torn up old body is what. I rode more rails, and jumps than I have in the past ten years- and I was enjoying myself! Don't let the Heli-sluts in Blue river or tractor-breath Kenny know about this little trip... THEY WILL NEVER RIDE WITH ME AGAIN! Sellout park rat. Nothing like a freshcut pipe with a layer of spring corn for gription. Colorado is good to visit every five years or so. It reminds me of just how much I am missing- and just how well I've got it here. (STILL SNOWING! expect 20cm by the morning -With the wind that will be knee to waist deep in spots!) We hit Echo Mtn, Copper, and Keystone. Echo is the new all Mtn. Park (or all park Mtn.) just outside of Denver. You can stay up all night, sleep late, and roll up there when you get up. They are on spring operating hours 1pm -9pm until they run out of snow. Copper Catylist park offers a really long run sprinkled with mini parks on the way to the big stuff. Too windy to hit the biggest booters, we worked on the mid size jumps and the huge number of rails. (we had so much fun we went back for a second day.) We were going to hit Winter Park, but Burton had the Super-Duper pipe (22') closed for a photo shoot.... We ended up going to keystone to take a look at SuperPark 10. Cool jumps.... knuckle-fest. snow too slow. The park-builders did their stuff that night and when we came back the next day we were treated to a pretty diverse showing of big mute or method spins. Riders for EMO, your girlfriend called and needs her jeans back so she can go to work. We were very pleased with the newest trend, junkyard jibs. Echo has a huge vertical cylinder, Copper had Plastic barrels, and Keystone has so many rails leaned up against the trees it just looks like a junkyard (Most of the Cool kids were attending MALAYday in Vail- Respect!) Hope your summer involves thoughts of snow, or a few slush turns. JP

J-hole closed to public sunday . No more TRAM, hope you all got a chance to ride it one time, what a cool way to get to the top. Still snowing! Teton pass closed this morning during rush hour because of a jack-knifed Semi truck! [DUm]. Sorry if you couldn't make it this winter. Come back in a few years when we open whatever they decide to build. Cross your fingers and hope they don't do something lame like another gondola.... See you all on the sand! time to get some sun!
