I will update this EVERY time that I go snowboarding telling you, my devoted fans, what I have been doing, be it bails, rails, or improving my style.
Yeah yeah, i know the name makes no sense, i thought it sounded catchy! Well people its officially come to an end. the 2006-2007 season has come to an end. This has probably been the most eventful season of my life. Ive now finished my 9th season of snowboarding, and I hate to say it, but for a kid who has been riding as long as me, I suck! I just now got 540s. At the beginning of the season I couldnt even 360. That may have been due to bad gear but who knows. I think a small recap is in need. Half way through the season on a beutiful day at Cypress Mountain, my Rossignol Sly gets destroyed by a screw sticking out of a box. I get that board replaced by a brand spanking new 2007 Forum Youngblood! My season, and my freestyle ability, was finally able to truly begin. Never before had I been able to have a park experience quite like it! By the time I had gotten used to the new board, I was pulling 3s like a new born craps itself. I also received a new set of boots this season, Thirtytwo Lashed, which at first caused some issues but have now become a dream! And just recently, last weekend, I finally received my new bindings. After much debate I decided on Rome 390s! I spent all sunday rippin on em and they feel great! But what this post was really about was to sum up my last two weekends of the season, so here goes About a month ago now I guess my friend from Buffalo, New York, was here for a week. I was able to meet up with him for two days on Whistler and that was the day I pulled my first 720, landed it too, though Im not going to lie, the whole thing was a total mistake, I only wanted to do a 540, but overrotated and decided to pull it around for a 7, sloppy landing too. Last weekend may have been one of the best all season! Spending Saturday with Ryan, MLJ, and Midge we decided to build a kicker in 7th Heaven which sadly didnt go over as well as we had hoped. We spent that afternoon sessioning park and it was ok. Sunday was really where it was at. I basically had a personal photo shoot to myself all day. I had a friend of mine follow me around with my SLR cam. We shot over 500+ picture on the weekend, I put a few of them up her on sb.com. I also used the Sunday to break in my new 390s. Highlights of the day were definately pulling some slow spun 3s on the tables and a 3 on the small step up, which is my current display pic here on sb.com. Also deciding that going for a 720 on the step up was a good idea. I
had three attempts and didnt land one. Spun the 720 2 out of 3 times
but never landed one. The first time lead to a huge humiliation in
front of Robjn Taylor the crapneto rider. Im glad to have finished this season with only minor bruises and one recuring rugby injury. Anyway, that sums up my season. i will hopefully be doing a 3 day camp with Whistler Valley Snowboard Club in June or July at one of the camps at the Blackcomb Glacier. have a good summer and hope you all had a great season Peace! What a stellar weekend I just had at whistler! Got to spend some time with some friends I havn't seen in quite some time just riding around the mountain. Saturday was a pretty bad day, didnt get to do much and had some of the worst park runs I can think of all season long. Saturday night I went and watched the Showcase Showdown finals which was great fun. Watching Justin Lameroux pull an amazing Cab 10 and Chris Wimbles pulling a huge 450 on to tailslide! Sunday was pretty amazing! 14cm of fresh powder over night. I spent the morning at the symphony chair hitting a small cornice drop and making some powder turns. By the afternoon I was hitting up the park pulling some simple 3's and 5's. By the end of the day I was getting kind of antsy to try something new so for my last run of the day I decided that I would try a 720. Sadly I didn't spin the full 720. It basically looked like an overspun 540. I spun about a 610-650 and then spun into the 720 on the gound. I will be up this weekend so Im going to go for it again then!
Peace!

So what happens when you combine a new '07 Youngblood, Whistler Blackcomb and the St. Georges Snowboard Crew? Some pretty kick ass shi*t thats for sure. It all started on a beutiful Wednesday morning at 5:30. Getting up and ready to head for school for the annual Ski/Ride day at Blackcomb. We get to base two around 9 and we got off the bus and all met up with this instructor named Ben (whom I actually beleive is a stalker, I ran into him 2 times, one on saturday the other on sunday!) and hit up the Wizard chair. Once we got to the top of Solar Coaster we decided that we would hit up the good ol' Terrain Garden for a little bit of a warm up. To start things off I thought I would do some spins on some boxes so I did that, a little bit of a 270 on here and a 270 out there. Maybe I did a 450 on a spine or two, who knows! We decided to finally hit up the blue park on blackcomb. This is where we spent the rest of our day. We were all laying down a few 3's and most of us (including myself) were trying to pull off 540's. I only managed to land 1/3 attempts.
Saturday/Sunday
So I came back up to Whistler Friday night to do some weekend riding. On saturday I met up with a good friend of mine, Ryan, also known as STD-Smurf and also the Captain of the Saints Snowboard Crew! We decided that hittin up Whistler park would be the best thing to do. And that it was! The setup at Whistler right now is epic! The tables were perfect for me to learn to stomp FS Indy 3's. By the end of the day I was landing them nearly every time. Not to mention two of the other Crew members, Shai and Ryan, were stomping their tricks as well! Sunday was a bit of a downgrade from saturday though. Ryan and I decided that it wasnt too much fun riding in flat conditions so we relaxed, watched the pipe comp and did a few mellow runs in the park.
That about sums up my weekend in a nutshell riding wise. Anyway, hoping to get some more riding in soon, Ill keep you all posted. Peace!

Hey Guys, i should have posted this last weekend, but ive been very lazy. My last board broke last sunday at cypress mountain. There was a screw sticking out of the box and it just shreded the board straight down to the core. So as a replacement I went and picked up a nice new '07 forum Youngblood. I had my first night on it last night at grouse mountain. It was the greatest feeling ever! The board has the most perfect flex and feel I have ever felt. I can pull any spin and it makes every landing feel cushy and smooth. Since the board seemed to be holding up much better than my last one I decided to attempt a 450 on one of those little side hits that get built into the sides of a table top, just for fun. So i went for it, spun the 450 pretty clean, but didnt manage to fully land it. I didnt fall but i did drag my hands when I landed. My only complain so far with the board is that its base seems to be quite soft. I did not go over any rocks or sharp object and I alreay have two moderate scratches across the base. Whatever, heading to whistler next weekend for my long weekend, should be pretty epic. I've had nothing but good days so far up there this year. Ill post pictures of my trashed board sometime soon. Peace!

Hey guys. I know I said I would post a while back. But I got lazy. So my snowboard season has officially kicked off, and I basically have started where I left off from the COC. On Saturday I met up with a bunch of my friends from school who were racing and we spent the day in the park just messing around. On Sunday I met up with some old friends of mine and I went and hit up the new Symphony Chair, which I must say is pretty amazing, especially after Whistler received a dumb of 50+ cm a few days before. Also during that day I demoed a Prior AMF board and I loved it, so I think that will be my new board. On Monday, I hit the Whistler park all day just messing around doing a few BS Tailslides on the C-Box and a few Noseslides on the side hop on down rail. Anyway, that's all for now. I leave for Vegas on Saturday for a week. I'll be back on the 1st and I'll tell you everything that happened. Peace!

I head tp Whistler today to ride Saturday and Sunday, my first days of the season. I couldn't be any more stoked for this! I've waited a good 4 to 5 months since the CoC and now Snowboarding will run through my veigns once again! I'll give full details when I return Sunday night. Peace!
This is definately worh writing about people! This is going to be a
long one indeed, but I guarantee it will be worth while. So I just got
back from riding the Camp of Champions park with the ever so amazing
Whistler Valley Snowboard Club, and although I have come out of it with
an injured back and a very painful sun burn, it was all amazing as
could be!
Day 1
I met up with my friend Ryan (Smurf) Espiritu and the rest of
the crew at 8:00 AM down at the bottom of Blackcomb. We got our passes
which had this cool little orange and black sticker that had the Camp
of Champions logo on it which made it possible for us to ride their
amazingly smurftastic park! My first run through was a piece of crap,
so I would rather never speak of it again! But besides the fact, the
park had 4 HUGE and I mean HUGE boxes that were a massive 40 ft. long!
They also had a huge box that was atleast 32' X 32' that we had dubbed
that dance floor. I rocked a massively styling noseslide across one of
the 40 ft boxes. I guess it was good from the scream I heard from Ryan
when he wet himself. I then went and learnt how to hop on from the side
of rails on a 6" wide Down Flat rail that I beleive I eventually nailed
after trying it 6 or 7 times.
Day 2
Day 2 is by far the day that could have ended it all. It started
great. I was learning how to do pops so I could start spinning on
tables and I was doing some more hop ons on a flat down rail. Then it
came to the point of the day right after lunch where I hit the down 40
ft. box. I fell on my back, and pulled or knotted a muscle or
something, it hurt like a mofo! I was so angry! I was going to try and
ride the 20' Down Double Barrel rail on the next run through! But I
couldnt instead I just spent an hour and a bit ranting on a camera!
Day 3
Heres a very valuable lesson to learn here, always be good to
your mother! She made things all better for me! My back was killing me
the night before, I went back to my place and had my mom massage my
back pretty much all night. So I arrived at Blackcomb base and I
realised I had left my snowboard back at my place, so I had to drive
back, get my board, and get back to Blackcomb base. This is where the
fun starts! I was having an awesome morning, hitting everything! Sadly
Ryan had to head ppout at 11:30 and head for the base. But in the
afternoon, I finally got to hit the Double Barrel that I had been
wanting to hit for the past 2 days! And boy was it sweet! The thing was
hella hard to stay on but I nailed it twice out of the dozen or so
times I tried to noseslide it. The past days had lead iup to that
moment and it KILLED!
So that was the end of it all! It was an amazing experience. I got to
ride with some awesome guys like Ryan and Trevor (your horny devil). My
coaches, Rob and Joe and Ollie, were awesome. Getting to watch Tom
Kato, Rusty (thanks for all that support today on the double barrel!)
and the pros Dennis Bannock and TJ Schneider (NO IDEA HOW TO SPELL THE
NAMES LET ME KNOW HOW) was an amazing experience! PEACE!

What a Saturday it was. My friend from Buffalo, New York, came into town for a week to ski on his favorite mountain in the ENTIRE world, Whistler + Blackcomb. I went up for the day on Saturday to see him. I got up at 5 AM for a 6:30 AM bus to Whistler, I was picked up by another friends Dad who took me to my cabin and I got my gear on. He dropped me off at the base of Blackcomb and I went up the Wizard Express chair. I hit park until I met up with him at 11:30 at lunch. We spent the next 4 hours having a great time. Hitting park and making rediculously bad jokes. I said goodbye to him and headed down the mountain to hitch my 4:30 PM bus ride back to Van City. Sadly, I will not see him again untill the upcoming winter season! I got to my house by 8PM on Saturday night. I was tired as heck, but what a day it had been! Peace, this ones for you Julian!
Wow, I met up with my 2 bestest friends for a small night session on Grouse Mountain. And what an event it was. It started clear skies, then the fog came in, then it started pissin rain! It's all good though, nothing like a rainy fogged in park neh? I intended to hit the big Spy Rail, but the fog prevented me from being able to do it. Instead we hit the huge 50' Spine, and the Large 20' Box, and the 40' Box as well. Oh and I did this incredibly hard hop on rail. It was hard because there was no take off whatsoever and I had to leap 3' in the air! I had 3 chocolate bars as dinner, and it was awsome, what a sugar rush I had. Well I wan't to dedicate this blog to my friend Sam, I have no idea how she was never bored last night of sitting around watching us hit the same stuff over and over again. Peace!
I just got back from a 6 day trip to whistler, I brought up two friends as well! We had a great time! Hitting park pretty much all day! We planned on taking photos, I would have some new ones for you guys, but we never really got around to it. We built a small kicker one day, we for some odd reason totally hated the thing so we trashed it and left! Great park hits though, I had some awsome boardslides on all the medium rails and did my first wall ride/rail thing, and I did a pretty good job too (so I was told). I also learned how to do a C-BOX properly! I can now hit all the M (Medium) ranked rails in the parks very confidently. Hopefully next year I will be hitting the HL park! Peace for now boys and gals!
OK, so I'm here in Fernie, hanging at my cousins house (who just so happens to be the mayor) and I thought why not give you guys a small check-up on what I have been up to. Well the snow hasn't been great, but it sure has been fun, they have one of the best jump parks I've EVER seen. They could use some work learning how to make rails but besides that they do a good job. I was able to catch a bit of the Free Ski Competition. It's a competition where you pretty much have to make a line down a cliff face, and you get judged on it. It's 3 days and each day they elimiate the worst 50%! Anyway that's all I can think of writing for now PEACE!
But I have been going there so much and it has been so awsome, so why not post about it again! Well today we improved the kicker that we built on Saturday, and boy was it fun! The park was in bad shape so we decided to turn our park day into a jump day. I was able to totally nail my frontside 360's so I left happy! Anyway, Fernie tommorow, I can't wait, I'm spo excited I have checked www.skifernie.com like 10 times looking at every single page, I'm so stoked! Peace!
I just spent probably my best all-round day ever at Cypress Mountain. I did all sorts of terrain and hits. I found a lot of good natural hits to do some sick 360's off, and I did. My friend and I built a nice kicker with a beutiful powder landing. I did some 360's off that as well. We also hit the terrain park where I worked on my tailslides and worked on boardsliding a ride on up-kink rail. That's all I got for now, I leave for Fernie Ski Resort on Tuesday, hopefully I will be in knee deep powder! Peace!

My friend Taylor has been asking me to help him nail his boardslies so I thought I would help him. Sadly we didn't end up nailing them, but I learnt to do tailslides! I'm so proud of myself! I always thought they were extremely hard but they are actually quite simple. Anywho, thought I would just post that! Peace!

I just went snowboarding with my good friend at Cypress Mountain. It was great fun! I was able to teach my friend how to Boardslide, and he did em great too, but I was also able to perfect my Noseslides beyond my greatest belief! I just keep getting better! And I plan to get even better!

I just spent 5 awsome days in Whistler snowboarding every day. I didn't
do all that much because even though there was 26 cm or so of powder
that fell down it was heavy and stick shi*t. I spent my days in the TP
(Terrain Park) nailing down my Noseslides and 180 / 360 Mutes. I really
thought I had more to say but I guess I don't. Anyway people, keep
checking back because there will be more to come!
