After 10+ years of hangin' out with snowboarders, skate rags, surfers,
posers and ragdolls, i strapped on the azzpad and hit the hills.
At first I failed so miserably (I almost cried)- I wanted to give up.
Thanks to the aggressive, motivational push from some sluts, I was
forced upon the slopes for another run.
'Twas a fruitful run, relatively speaking. I was completely unable
(despite successful executions earlier that day) to turn on the 'so
called' toe edge, but fancifully manoevered on the left 'heel' edge,
and comfortably easing in to 'fakie' a or 'switchstance' style.
Apparently I was nursing a potentially bad habit, and was told to
refrain from doing so. yEaH? so....i can't turn on my right toe edge.
Who the f*ck are you?
Honestly, the most frustrating aspect of this overdue attempt to
snowboard is the sole fact that I was not yet 'capable' or 'skilled'
(yeah, that's what i mean) in the sport I've seen so many friends
(radical) excel at for as long as I can remember.
I finally hit the slopes, so it's only uphill (oooo...downhill, yo)
from here. Honestly, I am going to keep riding, and hopefully
improving....but hockey is more fun since I can actually play.....
(for Darnell: are you stocked or what? right on)
Oh, I forgot to mention that I bailed so hard the very first time I
went riding (learner hill @ Glen Eden.. yeah, lame) that I thought I
peed my pants. Best part:
I didn't.
I bet you all have ADD and didn't read this entire blog, so punch Pethick next time you see his lanky ass and PHS rules.
