My Default Blog
It's been awhile since I've been here and so I thought it's time for me to say hello. So what's going on with me? Not too much actually, just getting ready for my trip in july. It should be fun because a) trips are always fun and b) I get to get away from the office drama I face because of working with mostly females. If you guys only knew... Anyway, I haven't much to talk about really, I just wanted to let everyone know that I am alive and well, just terribly busy. OH! I am told that I will be taught how to wakeboard this summer, which should be interesting (don't worry I'll take pictures of the casts and bruises to show and tell you about). Oh and...um, no, that's not interesting at all...forget it...that's all I got. See all you hosers later!
So today I read Carrie's blog about the custom skins and I decided I'd take a shot at doing my own. You'd think cause I'm a graphic designer, I'd be pretty good at picking out colour combinations...but what I picked was putrid, awful...disgusting. Picking colours is too much like work...I just sabotaged my own page so I decided it's best just to reset to default. Enjoy my boring page everyone! Maybe one of these days I'll figure out the colour wheel.
hey everyone, so I haven't really had much to say lately, and frankly right now I don't even know why i'm writing this, because I don't have anything to say right now either. But, I looked at my last post, and it was about snowboarding, and since our season is over for the year I thought I'd better post about something else. Hmmm....well......I've got nothin'. Later hosers! Next time I promise I will post something a tad more intelligent (I said a tad though, so don't get your expectations up).

So I went to horseshoe on Thursday to teach my friends' girlfriend how to snowboard. It was alright, saw a friend there so got to get off the bunny hill a few times with him...now to the freaky part. I was on the chairlift with my friend when all of a sudden this gale force wind hit us and was smacking us in the face with ice pellets. We couldn't see anything underneath us and could barely see the chair ahead or behind us. We thought it was funny. Then all of a sudden a flash of light...I'm like "was that lightning?" and my friend goes...."lighting...no" then CRACK thunder...wtf?? We get off the lift blindly, and board down the hill not being able to see more than two feet ahead of us. When we hit the bottom...boom, all of a sudden everything stops and the weather completely clears up. Well cause of the lighting they stop the lifts so we wait for awhile for them to start up again, but decide it's not worth it and go home just as they start. It was just the craziest weather ever. CRAZY! but we had a good time.

helmets keep your head nice and toasty warm.

So I am officially a helmet head as of today. My papa told me it's too icey to go snowboarding this weekend without a helmet. I've been thinking of getting one for awhile now just because I kinda like the fact that I'm a pretty girl with brains...but this was the final push. So papa took me to the store to get one and now I have one...yay me and lovin' my noggin'.

So I bought this wicked pair of Roxy SnoPants in Calgary in November. I love them, but I thought man, it'd really be wicked if I could find a jacket to match them. Well...I searched and searched in toronto but nothing. Finally tonight I went to SportingLife and was just gonna buy a pink jacket to match the pinstripe in the pants, but the shopping gods musta been looking out for me tonight cause there was the Roxy jacket that matches my pants. I am SoooooooOOOooooo excited. Sorry guys about the really extremely girly message, but I'm just so happy...my search is over and it's ended well...the end.

Since I have been lacking time to go snowboarding, this is the closest I've gotten to the slopes in a long time.

So I just read Mike's rant about valentine's day, and it made me think...this will be the first valentine's day in 4 years that I do not have a boyfriend. I wouldnt' say I'm disappointed or anything, to tell you the truth, my ex is a big time jerk (he started going out with my "friend" before we even broke things off completely, but that's another long and tiresome story) Well, I guess it feels good to know that I don't have to buy a gift, or plan a special evening or anything...but at the same time, it's shi*tty knowing that nobody's gonna do anything for me either this year. So I guess what I'm saying is, if anyone wants to volunteer to spoil me on valentine's day while my ex is off wining and dining my former friend...I'm taking applications. :)

Here's the thing, if you're gonna look at my profile, at least be kind enough to log-on first so I can see who you are. I hate that.

Officially in the green zone! Except it's that pukey looking lime green....not that nice....but I guess beggers can't be choosers.
I want to be in the green zone. I'm a nice person, I swear!
If anyone is looking for a great 23 and over club in toronto, go to "this is london". It's a bit hard to get into for groups of guys, and cover is a steep $20, but it's sooooo worth it. Went there last night, and had a blast. Just thought I'd share ;)

So the snow this morning was just teasing us cause it's all melted now. I don't know how good the conditions are north of the city, but so far I haven't seen one good day to attempt to go snowboarding. :( Ontario sucks!

The snow is finally falling again....could it perhaps be possible that we'll get a few good days of snowboarding in Ontario before the end of the season? hmmmm....I hope so!
