Hey.. am off to Dillon on Monday 3rd Dec for 2 weeks.. if anyone else is out there it would be mighty fine to meet up...

Oooooooh My Gaaaaaaaaad... Just visisted Amsterdam for 4 days... I'm sure a lot of you have done it before, but it was a first for me... It was like returning to your mis-spent youth all over again and highly recomended...
Apart from the usual red light district the rest of Amsterdam is actually quite nice to wander round.. especially after a touch of jamaican tobacco in a coffee shop... The people are very friendly and always ready to offer directions when lost and the culture is just completely chilled.. If you haven't been book your tickets soon..!! Take it easy...

Well, what can i say, blue skies and perfect conditions,  (all things considered)... Got flu on day two and felt like a herd of French Rugby players had been kicking me all over for 36 hours.. shivering and sweating all at the same time is always entertaining..  Aaanyway, got out of bed for all but 1 day and had quite a few 'world spinning' moments whilst doing runs...  bet people thought it was sambucca related... if only it were true.. The new board behaved itself exceptionally well.. really improved the riding no end, just seemed to pop out of turns and ask for more...  very pleased indeed.. (super stoked)...! Val D'isere and Tignes, still my 'favourite' French resorts.. just cos there's 300km of runs.. no chance of boredom.. just every chance of having to get the bus home... Sad to say the apres ski was limited due to the general 'close to death' feeling which came over every time i moved... but there was lots to be had and some great last runs into La Daille after the obligatory dance and beer  at the top of the orange... The one night i felt ok and made it out, a guy in our group spilt 3 pints on me which obviously improved the mood no end...  Aaaanyways, i guess that's the snow fix over for another year.. Hope to hear some of your stories soon...
Weeeell, this years trip is booked to Val D'isere, France, end of January.. not my first choice, but one of the boys couldn't make canada.. so we had to accomodate. As you probably know, snow in Europe is less than reliable so far this year, so keep ya fingers crossed fo us..! (no really please do!!)...  There's always an air of expectation before going away.. whether or not the 7 day break lives up to it is all down to us, the snow and the size of the shot glasses..  Hope the snow is good for all of youuuuzzzz...

And so summer is well and truly over...  dew on the car in the morning and a great crisp smell to the air... Not sure whether to be happy that winter will soon be here or sad that another year has whiiiizzed by... So how do all of you guys book your boarding time over winter...? Is it all planned waaaaaaaaay in advance or is all last minute bookings and jump on a plane 5 days later?

Went boarding on Saturday at MK xscape. The snow was a lot less sticky than last time, so managed to get up a bit of speed. Maybe it was the wax.. who knows..!  ... Amazing how much a bit of boarding can make you happy eh.. The place was pretty empty which also helps... think there was a max of 8 people in there... so straight back on the poma every time.. YAY  The football world cup final on Sunday was entertaining too.. especially as 1 in 6 people in my home town is Italian... plus Italians know how to celebrate...  Think i saw the biggest flag ever pinned to somones house yesterday.. it covered 2 storys..  Forca Italia...
Went to Berlin a couple of weeks back with some friends.. the Weisse Bier was great, the bratwurst and currywurst even better... but all the nightlife we'd been told existed seemed to be keeping itself to itself.. That's not to say we didn't arrive back at the hostel at 5am every morning.. maybe staying in what was E Berlin was the downfall..? Annyway, they are building up for the world cup over there and i think they will put on a good show for everyone.. I'm not a huge footie fan, but it's a great excuse to get down the pub and go through every emotion known to mankind in the space of 90 minutes..!...
I'm officially a responisble adult.. yeah right..! Did a first aid course a few weeks ago for work and then did my first bit of aid-ing last Friday... A lass from work had been out all night and forgotten to take her contacts out.. when she tried to remove 'em they broke up and left some bits in her eye.. OUCH.. >8-o spent ages trying with the eye wash but couldn't fix it.. so sent her to A&E... had to wait for 4hrs for them to get the tweezers out.. DOUBLE OUCH..!!... Can't wait for the next casualty.. >8=D
Went to London last weekend to see a show... The Rat Pack.. really very good... the 3 guys doing the singing really looked and sounded like Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davies Jr and Dean Martin... guess that's what you payz ya money for eh..!! The Tube is so aniquated.. makes me laugh.. saying that every time i go down there i can't imagine how those tunnels were made all those years ago.. respect to the engineers..!
Soooo it's Friday and St Patricks.. what a combination for disaster..he he.. How come so many celebrate it when they have no Irish relations..? My grandma is Irish, so at least i don't feel like too much of a fake..!! Aaanyway, the Irish are so welcoming i reckon they don't mind a few extras on March 17th... I bought the K2 Nemesis this week... wooooo.. spangley... will get some photos as soon as possible.. feels stiffer than a very stiff thing, so a bit more agression in the riding is called for i guess...
This is going to sound gay... but i went trampolining for the first time ever last night.. i figure it will stop me panicing when i'm in the air on my board.. Going over kickers my mind just goes into hyper-drive and goes blank.. so reckon go flying on a trampoline a bit and all will be cool.. plus it is a lot harder work than it looks..!! Any tips...?

Weeeell, what can i say... Lyons airport ground crew.. SAWT OWT YAW LIFE... we waited 4 hours for bags to come off the runway in their little metal boxes.. apart from that and the transfer bus driver that still wanted to stop every 1/2 hour even tho we were sooooo late added up to an 18 hour journey to get to a French resort..!! WoW.. might as well have gone to south america..! Unfortunately the weather reports were pretty wrong.. apart from the sunny bit.. no fresh snow, but the resort seemed to manage it's snow pretty well.. apart from a mate ripped out an edge on some rocks... ouch..! Conditions were more like late March than January.. sun cream and T's.. he he.. not that i'm complaining.. but hardpack is just an ass when you've not ridden properly for a few months.. My friend is 5 months pregnant and her husband was concerned about her going down the black moguls... she didn't seem too concerned... he he.. respect...! Have to be honest and turn anyone away from France unless they get some serious dumps fairly soon... Austria is the way forward..! >;-)
Okay.. I'm on the train at 2am tomorrow for the airport.. fingers crossed, straight from the pub.. >:-) Guess it's time to pack the wheelie up.. I really can't believe my luck.. the snow report for Tignes is ideal.. snow tonight, tomorrow and Sunday.. then sunny for the rest of the week.. can you get any better? Almost makes work worthwhile.. he he.. see ya in a week >;-D
Last weekend the deed was done... I spent money on new F series Salomon boots and some Rome Targa bindings.. so long Mr 9yr old Burton Customs.. and 8yr old Burton Moto boots.. he he.. can't wait to try them out in 2 weeks time.. just need to set them up when i get the board back from being serviced... happy days..
