About Me

Basically, I'm that guy that you know that never stays in one place for too long and is always doing things that you never thought you'd know someone who would do.

I've driven across the country more than a few times, I've snowboarded in about a dozen states and 4 countries. I joined the Marine Corps because I was bored and wanted to be the only liberal in the Marine Corps. Well, not really, but the real reasons are all boring and serious and shi*t.

I run Marathons in the desert, surf in Alaska, skinny dip in 10 degree weather and run around naked on highways. I get drunk at bad times in bad places for great reasons. I'm the combination of everyone you hate and everything you love. I've been told I have an addicting personality, I think that I'm just exciting enough for people to care.

At this point though, it's all about the snow. You want to know anything more than that, just hit me up.

Words of Wisdom

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - WOW - What a Ride!"

"Why tiptoe through life just to arrive safely at death?"

"Don't take life too seriously, you'll never get out alive"

This quote describes me more than any other. You can handle this, you can handle me:
There [looking at the sea, leaning side by side on the railing of the San Antonio], we understood that our vocation, our true vocation, was to move for eternity along the roads and seas of the world. Always curious, looking into everything that came before our eyes, sniffing out each corner but only ever fainlty - not setting down roots in any land or staying long enough to see the substratum of things; the outer limits would suffice.

My Blog: Tuesday, December 04, 2007
I've been back in Alaska for a while now. Not permanently, mind you, but mostly. In and out. I spent 3 weeks in the Tahoe area.. that was fun. Been back and forward between here and San Francisco for most of the year.

Moving there in January.

Alyeska already has 300+" through November. Let's hope for another amazing December, especially now that they semester is up.

Being in San Francisco is going to be nice. Only live about a 20 minute walk from the beach, like a 5 or 6 minute bus ride.

Yup.

Live is good. Life is good.

Hey, mate!  It FINALLY started to flurry today here in anchorage.  only got up to about 29 degrees. (last few weeks its been upper 40s, haha, so it feels pretty chilly for sure!)     But yea,  Aly has recorded about 3" so far this year, supposed to get snow all week, just small stuff for now though, i think. like 3 or 4 inches here and there.  But, way its going, its cold enough at night, they can turn on the snow guns and get to work! Im hoping for the 18th!  last few years have been a let down as far as "tentative openings" are concerned.

Have fun in the desert and get your butt back here and we can ride!  Take care!

Oy, you need to hold it down Jack! Put your phone back.
Why should she be the one to decide whether its on or off or on or
off or on? She'll like you much more for not hanging on.
